OTL's Instrument of Torture!

Hello Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Yet another sunny day here in North Kent. Mind you, there was some frost on the grass first thing when we went out this morning. Nothing too bad, just enough to make our paws a tad cold between wee's!

The Missus has been making another video and we got banned to the office while she sloshed the Glue & Glitter about!

You should hear her when she makes a mistake, so many words and all without taking a breath!

Now, never mind Archie Babes Two Legs mowing the grass, when we went out at lunchtime, look wot we saw!

I bet Archie Babe doesn't have a notice board in his garden!
Down on the sea front it was a little breezy but most enjoyable. Holly and I found some new sniffs and plenty of places to wee.

Come on, quick! I've found another one!
The container ships are not only getting bigger, they are also getting more often! This one was racing up the Thames, in a hurry to get moored before afternoon tea break!

I wonder where it is going next, Hamburg or Liverpool?
As we were going through the forest Old Two Legs spotted this rock high in the tree.

Strange!

A small breeze and this one will fall off the branch!

As we were walking along there came a screaming sound from up above. We weren't too sure what it was but when it got closer, we saw it was just a gull, but the noise it was making sounded very strange!

I've lost me fishy dinner!
We get all the strange birds down here!

Now, OTL is still sploshing around on his rowing machine and he has refused our request for a picture on him rowing on it. Mainly because he rows without his socks on, and a few other items of clothing and he doesn't want to frighten the horses or servants.

So, here is a picture of the machine in its 'resting' position against the wall and yes, those are his mountain walking boots, he puts his paws inside them and they stop his paws from slipping off when he gets a bit of speed going!

Thirty minutes rowing or one thousand strokes!
OTL says that there is an indoors bicycle in the garden shed and just for fun, he may dig it out at the weekend and see if it still works!

Oh Gawd! Rowing and cycling, what next, mountain climbing up the stairs from underneath?

Will he need ice axe and crampons?

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Hop Along Holly!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret back again.

Remember the walk we had yesterday? Well, there were dried up holes in the earth made by cattle who had been dancing in the mud when it was all wet and soggy.

Now that it has all dried up, wot we got is dry, hard, dangerous holes that Holly trod in and hurt her paw!

So, yesterday afternoon she was limping around the lounge and looking sorry for herself.

She had a cuddle with Old Two Legs, which made it a bit better and then she curled up on the chair with him to watch the 'Dolly Parton' show from the Grand Ole Opery!

Well, there he was with the TV sound set on 'Mute' and the music was coming through his ear phones.

He was singing and bopping around on the chair with Holly joining in the chorus!

This morning we went for our walk and Holly had only a small limp, so, no visit to the vet for some gold tablets. Well, actually they are not made of gold, it's just the price is equal to the price of gold!

We enjoyed a snoozy morning, until lunchtime, when we headed off to the beach. We decided to go there cos OTL had a package to post and the beach walk wasn't full of holes, so, Holly won't hurt her paw any more!

You know, I reckon sniffs are better than email!
We started off on the grass and then walked along the wall which is good for keeping our claws in trim, providing we scrape them on the concrete!

Scrape, Scrub, and just Drag a claw!
We got to the beach and enjoyed a good dig in the sand just to take the edges off the claws and then finish up with a good roll in the beach sniffs!

Synchronised Sniff Rolling!
The sky has a dusting of clouds that break up the blue. We will have to get up really early to catch the sunrise but I suppose that will happen around October time.

Now, don't that just look pretty?
Holly was dragging her tail and OTL and I got a bit further down the path than Holly. Finally she caught up and trotted down the path without a sign of a limp!

Look! No limping!
Just around the corner there was a carpet of Cowslip plants waving about in the wind. The Missus reckons they are a protected plant but we have looked up on the Government web site and see that it's not mentioned at all!

A Non-protected species?
Because we got up a little later than normal, OTL woke up a little later than normal and so he missed out on his row around the office. After a lunch of salad and meat he climbed onto the machine and set about splashing his way upstream!

We, of course, fell asleep and only woke up when we heard the plates tinkle onto the desk and he set about 'Eating Healthily'!

Boring or wot?

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.
