Happy Birthday to Us!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well now, did you know it is our birthday today?

Yep, we were born in 2009, so if we take 2009 away from this year then divide by the next number you thought of, then multiplied by the next number, that makes us now in our twelfth year!

Twelve years! 

It's amazing that we have lasted so long!

To celibrate we went out for our morning stroll before the sun got up and today Old Two Legs brought his camera with him.

 This is the edge of the old golf course, we always stop here for a sniff and a wee, it's a sort of notice board for woofers!

 This is the old Water Tower that the steam trains used to fill up from' when the trains were running and other that the old booking office, which is now a block of flats, it's all that is left!

So much for being a rival to Southend on Sea!

Walking around the old golf course you come to a bit of a pond where the golfers would loose their balls.

Well, that's what OTL says!

As it is our birthday we both got an extra chew to take to bed while the ferret cages were cleaned. Both Eric and Wendy sang us a birthday song but it was in 'Ferret' so we couldn't understand it, however, they assured us it was both rude and full of poo!

Lunchtime it was down to the beach and for a change and because it's our birthday, we didn't go down on the beach, mainly because it was too muddy!

It may be muddy on the beach but we have more sniffs up here near the bin!

Some artistic erk it seems has decided that the Poo Bin looked a little drab, being all black like wot it comes out of the moulding machine and has decorated the lid with strange maekings that even OTL can't work out what they are!

OTL says that when he was a young pup, they would have drawn a thing with a big nose, looking over a brick wall and the slogan.........Kilroy Woz 'ere!

But just who was Kilroy?

More fungi in the field and getting bigger every day!

No, definitely not edible at all, not even with some bacon or sausages!

OTL told us about a message he saw on one of those walls, it said.....Shout Hip, Hip and jump for joy for I was here before Kilroy!

Underneath someone had written.......'You can wipe that smile from off your face, Kilroy built this blooming place!

OK, Kilroy must be around here somewhere!

Just Who is that Werewolf?

 Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret again!

Sorry we missed yesterday’s Blog, it's all Old Two Legs fault.

You see he had to go to the hospital to have a 'Consultation' about his left eye that has gone all wobbly and fuzzy. He was booked into have the NHS look at it but going on past history he would have had to wait a long time to be seen (A whole twelve months)!

So, he has saved up all his pocket money and gone private, just like wot we do at the vets!

Well, yesterday was the 'Consultation' which consisted of looking into OTL's eye and saying, 'Yes, you need treatment'.

Well, we all knew that!

Part of the 'Consultation was to put drops in his eye to dilate his eye and didn't he look strange!

When he got back in the car his left eye was all black and looked large, just like a werewolf!

That was bad enough but all the way home he was trying to sing our 'Howling Song' and making a right mess of it!

Now, today we get an eMail from the consultant's secretary with a load of PDF files attached telling him what was going to be done and a guess at the cost plus the first invoice for the 'Consultation'.

OTL said that judging by the the amount of time he was in there and the cost, it looked to be a better job than a vet!

Our lunchtime walk was interesting because as soon as we got out of the car we could see some very dark clouds chasing us!

You could see that they were full of rain, so, it's going to be a 'Speed Wee Day'!

We could see the clouds but OTL had his camera with him so that means he was going to get all artistic!

So, here is the first of the Master Pieces

 We could call this one 'No Poo Bin' or maybe 'No Bench' but in the end we settled on 'Two Trees'!

Of course, this time of the year is when the fungi start sprouting and today as we climbed over the hill, there they were, a fresh crop of fungi!

Dunno if I fancy eating them, they don't look like to ones OTL has with his bacon sarnies!

The leaves are changing, not quite the blast of colour we are hoping for but they are on their way. It won't be long unless a storm blows all the leaves away that is!

Now, don't that look pretty?

Then the Heating Man called!

 Hi Woofers!

The weather man was correct in forecasting that tod ay will be a 'Rainy Day'. Our first trip out around the golf course had Old Two Legs sloshing about in puddles in his green wellies!

Needless to say, we were rather damp when we got home and needed a rub down with the doggie towels before we were alowed up stairs!

Lunchtime the Heating engineer arrived and was tearing the boiler to bits, banging and crashing up in the loft, then he comes down stairs with a big basket with water sloshing about!

He started around one fifteen and it is now four thirty and he is still going strong up there!

OTL got fed up watching him work so he left the engineer to carry on making funny noises up there!

Now because we don't know how long he will be, OTL has asked the carriers to call and pick up a delivery to one of OTL's customers, only problem is that it won't be until six, so bang goes the delivery tomorrow, it won't arrive until Friday which is no big deal.

Eric has been a pickle, he has hidden all his 'Magg's Smoothies' but he has forgotten where he hid them, so, he is raiding the box where The Missus has hidden her smoothies, then he hides them under the TV!

So, that's it for today, tomorrow OTL is off to see someone about his eyes and with a bit of luck will be able to get everything back in focus soon!
