Honest, it was snowing!

 Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

You know, down here in North Kent we like to think that it is the 'Sunny Spot' in the UK, I mean, normally when the rest of the country is under water or six foot in snow and ice, us, here in Kent are normally enjoying sunshine and balmy breezes. Relaxing on the beach and building sand holes!

Today however, it was cold, frosty and dismal and grey, all the muddy puddles were frozen solid and the grass look all cold and icy!

Now, after getting back from our walk we let the ferrets have the run of the house while Holly and I snuggled up on the bed wrapped in a couple of woofer blankets.

While all this was happening, The Missus is making the third video, (the last two she mucked up!). Looking out of the window what did we see?

Snow!!!!!!!

Yes, honest there was snow falling down and making a mess in the drive.

It lasted all of five minutes, didn't settle and disappeared in a blink!

Well, there we go, that's our winter over for this year!

Lunchtime it had warmed up to one degree and the icy puddles had melted, just, so it was back to the quaggy again!

Holly prefers the colder ground; she doesn't sink in so far!

We found some interesting sniffs around the pond but couldn't work out where they came from, Holly said it could be rats but I think it could be a water vole!

On the other paw it could be a Ratty Vole like the one in the Wind in the Willows!

Old Two Legs was more interested in the trees and taking photos of the young cones.

Now, all we need is some snow to settle on the cones and we will have next year’s Christmas Card almost twelve months in advance!

Now, all we have to do is convince The Missus to start cutting the cards to size!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Eye Eye!

Hello Woofers,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret back with you again!

What 24 hours we have had, I mean, did you see what was going on in the U.S.A.?

Old Two Legs and The Missus had the CNN news on and was watching it all unfold on the TV screen. Talk about seeing history as it happens!

It makes our walk around the old golf course look rather tame!

Again, it was raining just a little as we sloshed around the course, the puddles of mud were making OTL slip sliding all along the path while Holly and I headed off to the grass 'cos we got 'Four Paw Drive'!

It was this morning that OTL had to go to the opticians to get his eyes tested after having not only his cataracts done but corrective laser surgery as well!

So, this visit was to get corrective lens for the glasses he has. One set was around twenty years old, made of Titanium and just needed new lens but the other set were getting a bit worn after eighteen years of use and needed to be replaced.

So, after long time prancing up and down the different frames on show and trying on loads of then he decided that none of them made him look twenty years younger or better looking, so he ended up with a pair that looked similar to the ones he has now!

Once the optician had done all the tests and looked at his eyeballs, measured the distance from his eye to his ear and a few other tests he was presented with the invoice.

It was a while later when he had regained conscious and the defibrator was packed away and his credit card wrestled from his wallet, that he headed off home crying his eyes out!

He is such a wimp!

Mind you, if he thinks he had it bad, Eric and Wendy need a distemper jab and I need another six months’ supply of my pills!

The vet prices are just as bad as the local opticians!

I think we will leave the vets until Monday, just to give him time to get over today!

Looking at the weather forecast, it looks like we may see some flurries of snow tomorrow! Even if not, then it will be blooming cold! I'll have to check that our sheep skin coats are dry!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.
