The Return of Eric!

Hi Woofers!

It's the return Daisy, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

Well, the day starts with me and Old Two Legs heading out for a walk in the dark. OTL had his repaired lens on the camera and he had decided to try it out.

Now the camera had been dropped and the zoom function wouldn't zoom if the lens was horizontal or pointing down to the ground, so, Nikon replaced loads of stuff including the front lens which had a minor scuff on it.

It all looks good and promised to be back better than when it was first manufactured.

That was until OTL, standing on the sea front, took a picture of Sheerness, whilst holding the lens horizontal and trying to zoom in to crop the shot.

The zoom stuck, not wanting to move!

He had paid out a fortune to get it repaired and it still had the same fault on it as he had when he sent it off for repair!

OTL, not a happy puppy!

OTL is going to have a little chat with Nikon!

After a 'Chat' Nikon are picking up the lens tomorrow and hope to get it back to us, 'as soon as possible'!

Today Both Eric and Wendy enjoyed a rampage around the house while OTL cleaned the cage of Ferret Poo, a daily chore that is not one of OTL's favourite jobs!

Eric kept coming back to see OTL and get one of his favourite nibbles, a chicken strip! Not only do I love them but Eric does as well.

Wendy has gone off them nowadays and sticks to her Ferret Kibble and the Brambles Biscuits.

OTL suggested he take a photo of them both but Wendy is all shy and wouldn't stand still. So, OTL took a picture of the Ferret Statue he was given by the Ferret Rescue Centre and said he would call that Wendy!

It looks nothing like Wendy!

Now, Eric was tearing around the place looking for Chicken Strips and making a nuisance of himself, as usual!

It took several shots to catch him and even though he is suffering from 'Motion Blur', we did catch the twinkle in his eye!

OK, Chicken Strip or I'll run over the keyboard!

OTL says that Eric is more like a Weasel than a Ferret and can't be trusted anywhere near food!

Now, during the Spring and Summer and the start of Autumn OTL has taken pictures of this tunnel in the woods but just look at it now, not a leaf to be seen.

Tomorrow he says he will be looking for the leaf buds!

Another Misty Day

 Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

We have this big lump of high pressure that has planted itself over most of the South, so that means no wind just a load of soggy mist all day!

We went out this morning and Old Two Legs didn't even take the camera out of the car, there was nothing to photograph at all!

We started off in darkness but OTL got chatting and while I was sitting there it got light!

There was no sign of a sunrise, it just seemed to get bright but still misty!

Mind you, all is not lost!

The 2021 winter solstice occurs at 10:59 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 21.

And you know what that means?

Yes, Spring is on it's way and the days will be getting longer and the nights shorter!

At the moment we are still on the wrong side of the Solstice!

Lunchtime we took the camera but it was still misty so OTL spotted a couple of crows pecking away, looking for worms and bugs to eat.

Dining Alfresco to keep away from the Covid thingy!

There was nothing much to see and even the sniffs were damp and soggy!

OTL was reduced to sneaking up on some drops of mist that had landed on the brambles!

Drops of mist and a rather sorry spider’s web!

There were very few webs, maybe when the frosts come there will be some more to photograph but until then all we got is the soggy bits!

If nothing else, the thorns on the brambles still look sharp!

This afternoon was spent watching a bit of TV and cuddling up to OTL while The Missus met up with all her mates on ZoomyFacetime Thingy having a chat and sloshing the glue and glitter!

Whatever turns you on!

Soggy Saturday!

 Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here.

It's been a real gloomy day today. Getting up early was also another reason for it being gloomy, you know we were out so early that it was still dark when we got back home after the walk!

It didn't help that Old Two Legs was playing about with bits of paper and the computer. I think he is trying to get all of the stuff manufactured and shipped before Christmas!

The Missus has been playing on the ZoomyFaceTime with her mates and young Megan, (one of the Grandchildren) who has decided that talking to Grandma over the Internetty is fun!

We were out again at lunchtime and met up with a few of the lads, there was Barny, a big dopy Doodle Dog who is more Poodle than anything else but as daft as a bucket of frogs!

We also met up with a new woofer that came from a rescue place and was not too sure of her place so had to be kept on a lead!

Back home we had to be very quiet 'cos TM was doing recording, you know, 'How to make your fingers all Inky' or 'Crafting with Alcohol and a Bottle of Gin'!

That's it for today, we are off to get a Chinese tonight, Yum Yum!
