A two meat day today!

Hello Everyone,

We are back again!

We've been to Grandma's today and spent all day there. The Missus has been sorting out cupboards and drawers while Holly and I have been digging up the garden!

Old Two Legs had to go out for a long time, so we didn't get our normal run around the pond. TM took us for a walk but she kept us on the lead all the time. You would think she doesn't trust us!

When OTL got back, we were all over him like a rash, we miss our OTL when he's not around, it's sort of, BORING!

We got our normal run around the football field and Holly and me got up some serious speed, especially running down hill, and in the dark!

Afterwards we set off for home and TM was telling OTL how much she fancied some chips with salt and vinegar all over them. Old Two Legs says he knows a place where he can get some and he would get a sausage as well for himself. Our little ears pricked up at the mention of sausages, especially the ones OTL eats.

Yep! We mugged him for a few bits of his sausage, lets face it when we are sitting next to him with our noses pointing at the sausage and our heads between him and the sausage, you can't really ignore us!

When we got home,The Missus cooked a chicken she had got out of the freezer this morning, it tasted super, even if it was a little late coming!

We went to bed with full tums and a happy smile on our faces, sausages AND chicken, yes, a super day!

See you tomorrow!

Last Day of The Holiday

Hello to you all,

I suppose you have all been out enjoying yourselves today, me and Holly certainly have. We got Old Two Legs up good and early with the 'Good Morning, Wet Ear' treatment. We know he loves that really, even if he tries to put his head under the blanket!

We were jumping up and down on the bed woofing 'Bittern, Bittern' to let him know where we wanted to go!

Guess what? After breakfast he put us into the car and off we went to see the Bittern!

We had a great ride down to Canterbury, singing songs and waving at the truck drivers.

It was a little frantic when we got there as Holly and I wanted to get out of the car but OTL insisted on getting his gear ready first!

Soon we were off, running and jumping all over the place hunting those pesky Bittern Birds!

Hunting Bittern!
We went in the sheds, they call them hides, where everyone watches the ducks. Holly climbed out of the window onto the shelving outside the window just to get a better view. OTL got her back in and told her that doing stuff like that would scare the birds off. It was lucky that there was no one else in the hide!

We saw some ducks on the pond and Holly asked if they taste like chicken, 'cos everything taste like chicken to her. I think that Holly is too fond of her stomach to do any real bird watching.

We stayed in one of the sheds where we were supposed to be able to see the Bitterns, but all we saw were some horses and a swan and two Mallard Ducks. OTL spent some time with the binoculars looking at the reeds but didn't see any Bittern Birds at all, poor OTL!

Then we got bored and started running up and down the shed, woofing and having a tussle and knocking the rubbish bin over, no more bird watching for OTL, back to Racing & Chasing outside!

Racing & Chasing!
We walked and ran all over the place, it was great fun, we got muddy and wet and covered in bits of plant that stuck to our coats. OTL got us all clean and brushed when we got home.

It was just left to us to catch up on our sleep before going to bed!

We really do like adventures with Old Two Legs!

Tomorrow it's off to Grandma's and a run on the football fields!

Bye bye for now.

Fleas, Thorns and Rabbit Holes!

Hello Everyone!

Here we are again after a good nights sleep. Old Two Legs decided he should have an early night and we were packed off to bed at ten last night. Not that we were complaining, a good nights sleep is OK by us.

So we awoke all bright eyed and bushy tailed today, ready for an adventure. OTL was still asleep, lazy old OTL, so we jumped onto the bed and woke him up with a barrage of wet tongues in the ear! That sorted him out!

After our morning 'after breakfast' snooze, OTL looked at That Letter again and told us we should have our flea treatment. That was no real problem, he just squeezes some wet stuff between our shoulder blades. It's sticky for a while then dries off leaving a funny smell!

We pestered OTL to take us down to Cliffe Pools and at midday he agreed and off we went in the car. Holly and I were in our normal driving position looking out the window and woofing at all the cars. Holly blew a raspberry at the postman as we went past, he just laughed and waved at us!

We went for a run along the path at Cliffe Pools, which was great, until Holly got a thorn in her paw. She was sitting there with the paw lifted up.  OTL saw her and managed to take the thorn out, there was a little blood, but not much. I've had more blood when my milk teeth fell out! Holly thought that OTL was wonderful and gave him a big loving lick!

Off we went again, hunting for rabbits.
Holly found the first hole.

Yoo Hoo Mr Rabbit!

We can See You!!!
The Holly said she saw one pop his head out of this hole, but we never saw him again. I think Holly was telling 'Porkies'!

We got home very late 'cos we stayed out all afternoon. When we got home all we wanted to do was sleep, so we did sleep, before dinner and after dinner and just before we went to bed.

Tired but happy puppies.

Tomorrow we want to go down to Canterbury and see the Bitterns in the reeds, if OTL is not too busy.

We told him that it is the last day of the holiday so we got to do something exciting!

See you tomorrow,

Daisy & Holly

New Years Day

Hello to you all today,

A special hello to Keryn, Steve & the two Jack Russell's, glad to have you on board!

We had a wild New Years Eve, what with all the noise that Miffy & Karen (The Cat People) and Old Two Legs & The Missus were making last night, Holly and I didn't get to sleep until after two in the morning!

We were woken up from our evening snooze, by them, singing and laughing and shouting, especially at midnight. It was so loud that Holly and I thought it was Burglars, so we rushed down stairs all woofing and growling only to find them 'Happy New Year'ing' all over the place!

OTL said it was good to have us all together for the New Year, so we forgave them and gave everyone a lick!

All that is OK, but Holly and I had trouble waking up this morning, a pair of real sleepy heads we were!

OTL & Miffy left us behind at home and went off to do some 'New Year Bird Watching', they walked miles and only saw some ducks! Although Holly and I were disappointed not to go out with them, secretly we're glad to have a lazy day at home!

Looking at the pictures of the place, it looks a good Rabbit hunting ground, so we're going to get OTL to take us there soon.

RSPB Cliffe Pools

We spent most of the day dodging TM & Karen scattering glitter all over the place, they also left loads of half pealed 'stick on's' all over the floor. If you get them on your tummy they really tug the hair when OTL pulls them off!

We saw that Mr M left us a 'Happy New Year' message yesterday, and he lives in France!

That's where the Poodles come from, we know that 'cos Aggis told us.

So, a big Happy New Year to Mr Steve M and his family, and  Aggis!

Not forgetting Dougal and his family, we hope the snow fairy has gone from your place as well!

OH NO!     Shock!     Horror!

OTL opened a letter from the vets this morning, seems I am due a vaccination update!

I just hate them sticking needles in me!

If I chew up the letter do you think that OTL will forget to take me?

No, neither do I!

See you all tomorrow,

Daisy & Holly

Happy New Year!

Hello from Daisy & Holly,

And a big WOOF to Karen who has joined our little band.

You'll be pleased to know that the visit to the vet has been called off, my eye is getting better and Old Two Legs says's I'm off the hook, this time!

We've been to Grandmas today, we left rather late to go there and rather late to come home, so it's a case of rush, rush, rush today!

OTL says's it's Auntie Jane's birthday today, so,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNTY JANE!!!!!

Jane
I wanted OTL to show you the picture of her as a baby, but he said he was too scared she'd sort him out!

Holly has been bossing OTL about today. If she wants to go into the garden for a wee, she uses her 'special' bark and OTL and The Missus knows what she wants. But when Holly sits beside OTL's office chair and barks at him, he gets worried. Well, she did it again today, this time she wanted OTL to know that it was time for our midday walk and he was not watching the clock!

So, like a good OTL, he took us out for a walk. When we got back, we let OTL get back to his office and start work, then Holly crept into the office and did it again!

He couldn't work out what Holly wanted and got all worried. He even went down stairs to see if TM was OK!

Gotcha Again OTL!!!!!

I reckon we could have some fun next year with this trick!

A Very Big HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all.

Luv an Kisses

Monday is Fun Day!

Hello to you all!

Daisy and Holly back again.

All this Christmas thing has left us worn out. Old Two Legs said it was time we got some good fresh air and a bit of a run out. That sounded good to us, we've not had a good long walk for at least three days!

So, after our early morning walk, a brush all over and a bit of breakfast and a snoozette to settle our tummy's, OTL gathered up his walking boots and called us out to the car, 'Come on Girls'.

Adventure time!

Holly and I were in our normal place in the car, looking out of the window and sticking our tongues out at all the other drivers, we woofed at a Jack Russell who was sitting on the rear parcel shelf of his car, he went potty at us!

We didn't care, he couldn't get to us, so we did it some more!

Then, as we went round the last corner, there it was, The Farm, Yippee!

Soon we were out and sniffing the air for the Badgers that live here.

We see no Badgers!
A little later we met an old Spaniel who said she had not seen a badger for ages, but wished us luck with the hunt!

No Badgers Here!
Finally the hunt for Badgers ceased and we went off in search of Rabbits, but we had the same sort of results, nothing!

OTL tried to photograph a Fieldfare but we running about barking so much we scared the bird away, poor Old Two Legs, and he does try so hard to creep up on these birds!

Fieldfare
About the only thing that he can photograph is the landscape, at least that doesn't fly or run away!

Snow Vista
We got home all tired and sleepy after that walk, OTL had to carry both Holly and me for a little way 'cos we got exhausted running around. It was good to cuddle up to OTL, his face was nice and warm on our fur, which was a little cold, wet and muddy!

Back home to a warm bed and a meal of chicken that The Missus had cooked for us.

We had another early night 'cos OTL has got to go back to work in the morning and we are going with him to keep him safe and afterwards we are off to see Grandma. Another long day!

Bye bye for now and see you all again tomorrow.

Boxing Day Games

Hello Everyone!

Daisy & Holly here again.

We must put our paws up to being lazy little puppies today. After the Christmas Day fun with all the family we were just worn out. You know, we didn't get up until seven this morning, we got into our baskets last night and just crashed out!

Today Old Two Legs gave us some more presents to open and Holly got a Ruffty Tuffty type of toy we can both chew and play games of 'Tug' with and it stands up to our teeth, so far!

I got a very hard rubber ball on a rope that OTL throws for us and Holly and me chase after it and have a game of 'Tug' with that as well.

There were some more nibble things that we like as well.

So, by four in the afternoon we were whacked again!

Here I am having a nibble on the 'Walking Stick' rawhide.

A Big Chew for a Little Dog!
Holly on the other hand, she had been nibbling so much that she did not eat all her dinner, still she can go back to it later on after The Missus and OTL have had their dinner.

She decided to have a snooze cuddling the 'Ruffty Tuffty' toy!

Ruffty Tuffty Holly
We have both had a super couple of days with OTL & TM, a real family time.

Now let me show you a picture of Ethan, who has got a thing about TV Controllers, on Christmas Day he was running around with the controller changing the channels on the TV and switching off the TV the other boys were playing their games on!

OTL sorted him out in the end, he took the batteries out of the controller!

Ethan just could not work out what was wrong! OTL reckons that when his birthday comes around he will buy Ethan a BIG controller with loads of lights on it but no Batteries! Sneaky or wot!

Ethan!

We'll be back tomorrow with more tales as OTL has promised to take us out on an adventure, but he's not saying where we will be going. He says it's a secret, not even TM knows, so it must be special if she doesn't know!!

Bye for now!

Christmas Day.

Merry Christmas to you all and thanks to Dougal, Mary & Grant and PeeJay for the messages, not forgetting Thomas as well and a special Woof to Aggis and his family up in Scotland and all our followers on the Blog.

Holly and I have had a Brilliant day.

First of all, Father Christmas visited and left loads of presents for everyone, including Holly and me!

We know that he comes down the chimney to leave the presents but we can't work out how he got into the house 'cos the fireplace has been blocked up and there is no sign of sooty boot marks on the carpet.

We soon stopped worrying about that as we were both given our presents. There was a HUGE rawhide stick each for both Holly and me and a sock each full of chocy drops and nibblets and a squeaky bone that we will wake Old Two Legs with early in the morning!

There was loads of 'nibbles' that were on the table, so Holly and I mugged anyone who went near them. I just love the Twigglets and the small sausages on sticks were OK, after you got rid of the sticks!

Then there was Christmas Dinner, well, we have never seen such an enormous chicken, it was so big that every one got a helping and there was still loads left afterwards. Old Two Legs told us it was called Turkey. I didn't care what it's name was, it was still one giant of a chicken!

We had some of the chicken and there was some vegetable things called Brussels Sprouts, tasted a bit funny and both Holly and me suffered from a little wind later in the day!

Merry Christmas from Daisy & Holly and our Family
There was everyone there, children, grandchildren, parents and grandparents and of course, us puppies.

We got made a serious fuss of and played games with all the children. Loads of fun and chasing about left us tired little girls. We are just not used to all this excitement!

I hope your Christmas Day was as enjoyable as ours!

See you tomorrow,

Daisy & Holly

Windy Day

Hello everyone!

Here we are again!

Holly and I have been out all day with The Missus. We have been 'Baby Sitting' and having some fun today with the boys, Tom & Matt. Tearing around the house and the garden. We had to be on our best behaviour 'cos the lounge has just been decorated and has new carpet, so, no muddy paws or chewing rawhide on the new suite. The Missus told us we'd be in 'Deep Poo' if we misbehaved.

So, we tried to be good little puppies all day.

Was it Boring or wot!

When we got back home Old Two Legs was pleased to see us and we were so glad to see him. We both jumped up and gave him a big wet lick on the nose!

We had chicken for dinner, one of our favourite meals and afterwards we mugged OTL for a bit of shortbread!

After all that rushing around today we decided to go off to bed early because we were both tired little girls.

OTL said we are going back tomorrow, can't wait, can we jump on the new sofa tomorrow?

Bye for now,

Daisy and Holly
