Saturday is Decorating Day!

Hello Everyone, Daisy & Holly here again!

We love Saturday's 'cos they always fun.

The Missus is always in a good mood and she makes out a long list of jobs that Old Two Legs has got to do before Monday. OTL manages to wriggle out of them by inventing some major job that he has to do before anything else!

We know he is telling Porkies and so does TM, but it always works out in the end.

Not this weekend.  Poor old OTL got caught good and proper.

It started off with OTL noticing the sealant around the shower door was leaking water. So he mentioned it to TM and said he would fix it this weekend.

TM, being all sorts of crafty in more ways than card making, said, 'Why don't you paint the ceiling while you are in there, it won't take long.

Ha Ha Ha!

There was no way out, OTL was caught good and proper and spent Saturday decorating, something OTL hates!

He was playing about with the sealant and we went to have a sniff, it was Horrible. It made our eyes go wobbly and Holly could not stop sneezing.

We cleared off to the garden for some fresh air and to hunt monster cats and rabbits!

Later, after our afternoon walk, OTL was painting the ceiling, so we sneaked in to have a sniff of the paint.

That was worse, Holly managed to get some on the end of her nose and she said it tasted nasty when she tried to lick it off!

We got out of there double quick time and got OTL to take us into the loft for a run around and it kept us out of the way of the paint!

Hiding from the Paint!
We can see why OTL hates decorating, the smell is awful!

See you all tomorrow.

Friday and a New Rawhide Chew

Hello Mates,

D&H back again.

Hello to Michael and welcome to the world of Daisy & Holly.

I really don't know how we made it through the night, my stomach was rumbling and groaning all night long. Holly started to hallucinate, she said she saw chickens running around her food bowl pinching some of the Doggy Food!

Now we know that the food man comes on Friday morning so we both sat at the kitchen door waiting. The Missus was cooking something we had not had before and we were unsure if it was for us or Old Two Legs breakfast.

It was for us! Pigs Liver and Doggy Biscuits, well we woofed that down in a flash, didn't even have time to draw breath. There was even some left over for a lunch time snack!

TM out did herself on this one, now all we need now is some chicken for dinner tonight, just to round the day off!

The food man also brought us our Rawhide Chews, one each, but the trouble is, we can't decide which one is best, the one I have or the one Holly has. So, we try pinching each others, then get into a growling match over who has what chew!

It's all good fun really and it gives OTL a chance to try to make us stop growling and woofing at each other.

No Chance!

Auntie Sheila came over today to play at making cards with TM, I don't think there was much card making 'cos they were both gassing away like their lives depended on it!

Just for a change the sun is shining today. The birds are fighting over nest boxes and the Blue Tits are diving in and out of their nest box with bits of grass.

Spring is here!

It won't be long before OTL takes us down to Canterbury and we can run through the Marshes again while he attempts to take pictures of Bitterns and all sorts of ducks and birdies!

We may even start digging up the flower garden, just to help TM of course!

See you tomorrow.

Late Birthday Present

Hi All!

D&H back again.

A big welcome to Granny Darley who has joined our merry little band.

Now I must tell you how hard we've been working today.

First of all we went into Guard Dog mode early this morning when Old Two Legs let us out into the garden.  We just got out of the kitchen door when we spotted 'Hissin Chrissy' that bad tempered cat from up the road.

Off we went after her, woofing and howling and snarling. Chrissy just shot over the fence in a full panic and we could hear her hissing and spitting on the other side of the fence, so that means more howling and snarling and woofing from us.

What a way to start the day, it was GREAT!!

The postman arrived with a box for OTL and we kept close to him when he opened it, 'cos we could smell the honey comb! A late birthday present from Number Two Daughter, she has been waiting since Christmas for the shop to get new stock. We will try the mugging bit tonight if he opens the pack!

We went out with OTL down to the Riverside Park, super fun chasing the gulls and woofing at the other dogs!

Running through Riverside Park
We chased each other all the way around the park, up and down the beach and we even stayed out of the mud, just for OTL!

Staying out of the mud for OTL
After the walk, I got back in the car, but Holly decided she still wanted a walk and was not prepared to get back in yet. So, she led OTL all over the car park, around the buildings and nearly got into the children's playground, the one with the swings and stuff!

Finally she got back into the car, laughing all over her face and OTL called her a Horrid Holly, which was fun 'cos we had just been around a bit of the park that is called Horrid Hill!

On our way home we were making up songs about Horrid Holly and car parks, OTL joined in with chorus but he got it wrong in the middle and Holly and me had to stop singing because we were laughing so much!

The breakfast has gone back to Doggy Food, and, it was still there at lunch time!

I expect someone will report The Missus to the RSPCD (Royal Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Doggies'!

We're going into 'Starving Puppy' mode now with fainting attacks brought on by malnutrition.

Trouble is, I don't know if I'll be able to keep it up until tomorrow!

I'll let you know what happens.

Bye Bye for now,

Wet Wednesday

Hi All you Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again for some more fun.

We got chicken again for breakfast, so The Missus is learning her lesson!

It was a chilly start to the day, all sort of windy and from the North then it swung around to the East but it didn't get any warmer!

We went out with Old Two Legs at lunch time for a run along the Sea Wall, the tide was right in and the wind was blowing it further up the beach than normal. That meant there was a sort of frothy stuff, just like doggy shampoo, at the waters edge. OTL called it froth. I don't know what it supposed to taste like but this stuff was salty, and it went right up my nose when I tried a sniff!

It's Frothy!
Holly said I was daft having a sniff of it 'cos you don't know if a shark was hiding in the froth and if he was, he would bite your head off and you'd never be able to eat again!

I think she was telling Porkies, but I didn't hang about to find out!

I picked up a small stick and ran off, Holly chased me and we had a game of 'My Stick'

My Stick!
Holly and I don't remember the sun coming up when we went out, so the 'glow' is OTL messing about with the picture on his computer.

We got Lamb Mince and Carrot tonight and OTL has got Curry, so it's a double good nosh-up, providing we can mug OTL for some nibbles.

No contest!

See you tomorrow.

March and we get muddy!

Hello me ole mates!

Daisy and Holly back for another fun day, and it's March already.

Looks like our boycott of The Missus seems to have worked, we got chicken this morning for breakfast!

Lunch time we mugged Old Two Legs for a few doggy sausages and a bit of his toast, he's a push over really.

We went out for our midday walk and OTL took us along the Sea Defence Wall, there was loads of puddles, mud, smells and cow poo, it was great!

First of all we thought we found a monster in the grass, but it turned out to be a mouse looking for food.

It's a Monster Mouse!
So off we went running through the muddy puddles up and down the sea wall and that got even muddier!

Chase me if you can!
A little further on I found some seriously smelly stuff to roll in and it stuck to my back and got into my fur!

If you click on the picture you can see it!

Poohy Daisy
Holly found a feather on the ground so we chased around trying to take it off each other.

My Feather!
I was chasing Holly and managed to roll her in a decidedly muddy puddle, mud stuck to her bottom!

So, we had a splashing good time!

Splashing good time!
When we got onto the beach, we had a good chase up and down the sand, Holly got smothered in sand AND mud!

Kicking up sand!
Finally when we got back home, it was straight into the kitchen for a wash on the draining board, we smelt horrible, we were yucky, we were covered in sand, we were covered in black mud, we loved it!

A good wash and a dry plus some more chicken for dinner and we spent the evening snoozing before going to bed for a real sleep.

Yep! A wonderful day doing what a doggy does best, having fun!

See you tomorrow,

Grey Old Monday

Hi Fans!

It's Daisy & Holly back again.

Today has been lacking in sun! I thought we would get a bit of sunshine on our backs today but instead we got a sharp wind with a bit of a bite to it!

We went out with The Missus this morning down to the sea front and the wind just whistled down the estuary, so we didn't stay too long there! Later we went with Old Two Legs to do some errands and then off to The Farm. Loads of new smells but again, windy and with a bit of rain as well.

We inspected the new crop and noticed it seemed to be more advanced than at home, maybe because of the cold wind that blows across our fields!

Checking on the new crop
We got back in time for a late lunch, of dog food! It was horrible, it came out of a tin can and we just could not work out what it was. Holly did suggest a few things it could have been, all of them rude!

It seems that TM is on strike today, we've not seen a chicken thawing out, nor have we seen the
Lamb Mince Bag being taken out of the freezer.

I'm sure we have done nothing terrible to deserve this, a small woof in the middle of the night maybe, but nothing that warrants Dog Food!

I did eat some, but only 'cos I was faint with hunger, Holly had a mouth full, but couldn't get up any enthusiasm, which is most unusual for 'Ole Porky Puppy'!

We spent the afternoon flat out in our day bed, almost passing out with hunger. It was only OTL's cookies that saved us, a small  bit broken off the edge managed to get us through to dinner time.

Dinner arrived, MORE DOGGY FOOD!!!!

This is getting just too much, it was Tripe and Beef and a little grated carrot on the top.

That's it, no more ear licking for TM, no more Guard Dog Duty, no more cuddles, let's see how long she can do without us!

See you tomorrow, if we last the night!

Soggy Sunday

Hello to you all,

D&H back again!

We've had some fun today, we got Old Two Legs up good and early this morning, in fact it was still dark, so it must have been early!

We just felt like a midnight woof and there was something making a noise, mind you, it could have been the central heating starting up again!

OTL took us for a good walk across the fields this morning and we were jumping in all the puddles, up to our knees, it was fun even if it was wet.

We said hello to the horses and they said hello to us. On the way out a woman ran up the path past us and was puffing and blowing like she had something wrong with her, OTL said she was getting exercise, jogging along the path. We thought she was not going to last until the next turning on the path.

We have runs and chase each other all over the place but I'm sure we don't sound like that!

The Missus and OTL took us over the New Park this afternoon. There were loads of other dogs there, we saw big dogs and little dogs and some a bit bigger than little dogs but not as large as big dogs! We woofed and chased a few and got chased by some of the big dogs.

Holly wanted to go swimming in the lake but TM said that if she did she would have to walk home 'cos she was not having a wet dog in the car!

Sometimes TM can be no fun at all.

We had lamb mince again for dinner, it was great, you know I could really get into this uncooked meat stuff, but the rice gets a little boring, especially when it gets cold!

Wonder what's for breakfast tomorrow?

See you soon,

Luv

The Weekend is here!

Hello all you D&H fans!

Here we are again, and, it's Saturday!

It must be the weekend 'cos it's raining!

We woke this morning to The Missus crashing and banging her card making stuff around. So that means she's off to a card making day with her mates.

We had our little 'after get up snooze' with Old Two Legs while he tried to get a Saturday morning snoozett in bed. We sort of crashed out resting against him but could not really get back to sleep, TM was making SO MUCH NOISE!

How can paper and card make so much noise!

We had some fun in the morning, after TM had gone, we chased around the house after breakfast and Holly and me were given half a carrot each. We both had a chew then Holly started grumbling that I was going to pinch her carrot!

Not that I was going to, but you just can't tell her!

So, I hid mine under the blanket in my day bed and went off to see what OTL was doing.

Reading!

He was trying to catch up on his magazines and books that he claims we don't give him time to read. So, I jumped up on his lap and then climbed up onto the back of his chair and gave him a cuddle and a lick on the ear.

He just loves that!

We couldn't go out for an Adventure because of the rain, so we had a game with OTL called, Hunt The Rawhide Chew.

We would let him see us with the chew, up stairs in his office, then we would both run out as though we were playing chase, run down stairs and make our 'Awful Barking and Growling Noise' as though someone was at the door. Down would come OTL, see us sitting all quiet and peaceful looking out the front window, but without the chew.

OTL would say, 'Where's the chew?' we said nothing, he would then start looking for it, we said nothing, he starts to look behind the sofa, we sneak up stairs with the chew that Holly had been laying on all the time.

OTL, he's still down stairs  looking for the chew 'cos he knows TM will give him stick 'cos he shouldn't allow us down stairs with the chew.

We are up the top of the stairs, looking through the gap at OTL, he's getting desperate now, 'Where's the Chew?' he calls out.

We give it a shove and drop it through the stairs!

And then run like mad!

He is so easy to trick!!!!

See you tomorrow,

Luv

Friday & Carrots & Holly & Line Dancing & Pylons!

Hello there!

Daisy & Holly here again.

I must tell you about Holly and her carrot. We have been given a whole carrot each over the last few days and while they are OK, one a day is a bit much for me.

You can have too much of a good thing. Well, everyone except Holly. She just loves crunching up a big juicy carrot. She will carry it around the house with her, lay down and have a little chew, fall asleep cuddling it, wake up, have another crunch and take it onto the next snoozing place.

That's OK by me, what ever floats your boat!

Just lately, she has taken to believing that I'm going to take her precious carrot away from her and eat it myself. She keeps doing the 'Low Down Growl' every time I am near to her and sometimes even when I am not!

She's getting too possessive with her carrot!

Old Two Legs took us out on an Adventure today over to The Lakes, we had great fun chasing the Moor Hens across the paths. We said hello to a load of other dogs, all out for their afternoon walk.

There was a very nice King Charles Cocker Spaniel called Tuppence, as opposed to Two Pence!

Hello me Old Cocker!
OTL took us on a long path alongside the river, me and Holly ran ahead sniffing out all the good sniffs.

There was a time when OTL was playing about with his camera, taking pictures of a Pylon, yes, we think it strange as well.

Anyway, as we waited for him to catch us up, Holly and I decided to practice our Line Dancing and we were going great guns, doing the Side Stepping Front Paw Kick.

We did not see OTL creep up on us and it was only when the camera shutter went that we realised he was there!

Line Dancing!
So, just to get our own back, here is his Pylon!

Pylon
There you go, which is the daft picture now?

See you tomorow!

The Sun has come back!

Hi All!

We've been good guard dogs, last night, well, about three in the morning, we both heard a noise out side the house. So, being Super Guard Dogs, we flew downstairs, barking and howling and woofing and snarling and making a BIG noise!

The Missus was proud of us and came down stairs after us, barking and howling and woofing and snarling and making a BIG noise. We thought that she could scare off any burglars on her own and didn't really need us!

Holly mentioned that TM seemed to be barking at us, but I'm not sure. Anyway, we had scared off whoever it was outside and went back to bed, all very proud of ourselves!

We woke up a little late but Holly said, just look at the day light out there, all covered in sun shine and fluffy clouds!

We just love it when the sun comes out, it makes everyone feel better!

Over the fields there were loads of new sniffs to be investigated and Holly reckons she caught the sniff of that big old dog fox we saw a while ago.

As the sun was shining, Old Two Legs took us for a long walk around the Flood Defence Sea Wall. We had another run on the sandy beach and he took some movie pictures with his camera. Trouble is, he has lost the computer lead to download the video!

What a Plonker!

The rest of the day was spent drying off and filling the house with the sweet smell of Thames Estuary Mud. TM says we need a good bath, I reckon another run on the beach will do it!

See you tomorrow!
