Whoopee it's Friday!

Hi All,

Daisy & Holly back again!

Today is Friday, that means the Food Man comes. The Food Man is a lovely man, he brings food for The Missus and Old Two Legs and of course, our food!

Best of all he brings our Rawhide Chews!

Now it is a well known doggy thing, no matter how juicy and tasty the thing I've got tastes, I will always want the one that Holly has, and visa versa. So, we grumble and growl and nick the other one while our one is being nicked by the other doggy. Only then do we decide that our original one was better and we try to get it back by grumbling.

Better still, if we can get our one back and still keep hold of the other one, success!
It's just so we can compare the taste and chew-ability at different points!

Now, if you have two dogs and two chews and one dog wants both chews, well you do the maths all I know is the answer is, we get into 'Grumbly Time' and OTL shouts at us and we get one chew taken away, so we have to share the last chew.

Not happy 'cos OTL's taken a Chew away!

That is, we are then minus one chew, so, that means one chew divided by two dogs equals, Grumbly Time.

Oooo, this maths thing hurts my brain, How Leonis got a 100% in her maths test is beyond me. She must be really clever, I bet she has her own chew and doesn't have to share with anyone!

Now, we have one chew and two doggies, so, that means half each. The problem is, which half is mine, or hers, no matter which end we chew, we always reckon the other end is better, so we get into Grumbly Mode again!

Two Doggies into One Chew!
I think I'll go back to bed now and have a snoozett, 'cos my brain hurts!

See you tomorrow for an Adventure with OTL, we hope.

A Trip Out With OTL

Hi Gang!

Daisy & Holly back again.

A warm welcome to Chris, she's the lady that goes 'Ding Dong' on a Sunday Morning!

Me and Holly were in Guard Dog mode last night. About three in the morning we heard a fox howling, just outside our back door, off we flew, down stairs, howling and barking and woofing. The Missus came down as well and let us out into the garden.

We had never heard a fox howling like that and so close! Well, we are big, bold and brave puppies and when the fox howled so close to us, we shot back indoors and from the safety of the kitchen we woofed it away.

Well, as I said, we were big, bold and brave, but not stupid!

Because of all that fun and games, we were missing out on our sleep, so we spent most of the morning in with Old Two Legs, having a snooze in our day beds, until it was time to go out on his errands.

We went off delivering some stuff and then we stopped at the New Park!

Holy and I rushed in and guess what? There were no other doggies there!

Where have all the doggies gone?
I know it was a bit windy and a little bit of rain, but not enough to keep them indoors!

So, me and Holly just had fun sharing sniffs together!

Sharing a Sniff!

When we got to the pond there was still no one around, not even the monster under the bridge and Holly had a good look to see if it was there!

No Monsters here!
OTL suggested we might like to have a swim, but it was too cold for that and Holly blew a Raspberry at OTL when he made the suggestion!

Raspberries to a swim!
We had a good run and a chase about the park and I swear that Holly is getting faster, maybe it is all that hair she lost when she had a hair cut that has speeded her up!

Speedy Holly!

Would you believe it? She is now learning to stand on her back legs like me!

Look Daisy!

Simples!

See you tomorrow!

It's a Lost Dog Day!

Hello Everyone,

What a great sunny day it is here, almost a real Balmy Spring Day, just right for a 'Spring Dig'.

We got back from our morning walk to be greeted by a super breakfast of minced lamb and rice with a little grated carrot on the top!

OK Sister, deep breath, tails up and muzzles in!

After a brilliant breakfast like that we were just deciding on what to do next when we heard a ring on the front door bell.

There was a lady standing there with a Yorkshire Terrier/Bichon Frise cross  in her arms. 'Is this your dog?' she said to The Missus, 'cos I found it wandering outside your door.'

Not ours, but I'll phone the owner says TM all motherly like and took the dog up to see Old Two Legs who was hard at work in the office.

Well, that was it, I don't mind lost dogs, but lost dogs sitting on OTL's lap where me or Holly should be, that was just too much. I sat in my day bed and looked at this dog, giving him the old 'Hairy Eyeball' look and then I 'Grumbled'.

It was a special sort of low down Doggy Grumble that went like this,

'JustwadderyerthinkyerdoingsittinonmyOTLlapwhere Ishouldbeanstopgrinninglikethatoryourgetapawinyerearforyertroubles'

A traditional Doggy warning grumble, 'without prejudice'!

Holly was around the back having a sniff of his tail so that she would know him next time!

It was not long before his owner came knocking on the door, it seems that 'Teddy' had escaped from the house some how and they did not even know he was gone!

All's well now, he's gone and we have been out in the garden for our first real Spring Dig, trouble was, TM caught us before we dug up too many daffodils, just because I had earth all around my muzzle, doesn't mean it was all me, Holly did some of it!

We went over to meet The Boys from school in the afternoon, it was good to see them again and we had fun trying to teach TM some doggy songs on the way back.

She is not very good at singing in 'Doggy'!

See you tomorrow.

The Sun is here again!

Hello to you all!

Daisy & Holly here again.

We must say a big welcome to susiequeue who has joined our merry little band!

What with the hair cut yesterday and the frost this morning, we needed our coats on when we went out this morning. The Missus took us for a walk over the fields and across the golf course down to the beach. It was a bit chilly so we did not stay for a swim!

Old Two Legs took us out with him when he went to see a customer or two and we ended up in the Riverside Park!

A Super Time it was, loads of other doggies and the sun was really warm on our backs.

Out in the sunshine!
We looked 'the business' with our new haircut and we got a lot of comments from the other dogs we met. They all said we looked dead smart!

Holly looking good!
Holly looked really good and she made sure she found some super smell to have a roll in!

OTL was jumping up and down telling her to get up, but she didn't care!

We ran and chased each other all over the place, it was really good to have a run in the sun shine. We hope it keeps up for the weekend, OTL is thinking of going out on an 'Adventure', he won't say where but knowing him, it's bound to be fun!

So, claws crossed for a sunny Saturday.

Bye bye for now

Shock! Horror! it's Hair Cutting Day!

Hi Woofers,

Daisy & Holly back with you again and have we had a day today!

Out we went this morning with Old Two Legs for our walk across the fields, great fun, loads of sniffs and even found some horse poo!

When we got home The Missus was all dressed and ready to go out, strange that was, OTL didn't give us a brush but instead gave us our breakfast straight away, even stranger!

Holly said there was something up and sure enough they cleared off out the front door without us!

I went back and had a bit of breakfast but it wasn't the same without them here.

An hour later they came back, we said our normal hello and licked them both from ear to ear and back again! Seems they had to take the car down for a service, so that's why they sneaked off!

We got our brush and finished the breakfast. Later we went out for our midday stroll around the football field. OTL loaded some stuff into the car then came back for us. Whoopee! we thought, an 'Adventure' !

Off we drove and in a little while we ended up at the kennels...........aaargh!

Suddenly we knew what was going to happen.

It was haircut and a bath time!

We were not happy puppies, we did our 'straight front legs, chin on the ground and bottom in the air' stance but the floor was slippery and we got dragged out to the clipping palour.

I won't tell you any more except that Holly and me were very pleased when OTL & TM came to pick us up, we just could not get out of there quick enough!

We have spent the evening eating and sleeping and then a little more eating before going to bed for a proper sleep!

See you tomorrow!

Another Lazy Sunday

Hi Folks!

D&H back again,

Very Happy Birthday to Vi, she had a big party on Saturday night. Dancing the night away we hear!

Old Two Legs was hard at the decorating bit this morning, slapping more paint on the bathroom ceiling.

Holly was very interested in watching OTL, don't know why, it's not as if we have a kennel roof to paint!

While he was bent over backwards waving the brush around, Holly was in the shower, sitting on the bath mat watching him work.

She said it was no trouble to do that 'cos she had the shower door closed so no paint would drip on her!

I kept out of there, I don't like the smell of  paint, so I stayed down stairs chewing on Hollies carrot. She had hidden it under one of the cushions, but I found it!

A bit later on when OTL had finished the painting, The Missus went in the bathroom and said Oo' Aah! Oo Aah!' or something like that.

See, she reckons if she says he's done a super job, then he will be more likely to do the kitchen next.

She's been after him to do the kitchen for ages, it's one of her 'jobs' on the list that OTL gets every weekend.

As I've said before, that TM, Crafty or Wot!

We have been a bit lazy today, what with OTL working and TM making cards. Holly and I have been experimenting in the garden to find a suitable place to start our Spring Dig!

Trouble was, TM caught us doing a test dig and chased us around the garden twice!

Holly said TM was going to chop our tails off so we would not be happy again, so we rushed up to OTL who protected us.

That TM can be scary sometimes!

I think an early night is called for, must catch up on our sleep!

See you tomorrow,

Saturday is Decorating Day!

Hello Everyone, Daisy & Holly here again!

We love Saturday's 'cos they always fun.

The Missus is always in a good mood and she makes out a long list of jobs that Old Two Legs has got to do before Monday. OTL manages to wriggle out of them by inventing some major job that he has to do before anything else!

We know he is telling Porkies and so does TM, but it always works out in the end.

Not this weekend.  Poor old OTL got caught good and proper.

It started off with OTL noticing the sealant around the shower door was leaking water. So he mentioned it to TM and said he would fix it this weekend.

TM, being all sorts of crafty in more ways than card making, said, 'Why don't you paint the ceiling while you are in there, it won't take long.

Ha Ha Ha!

There was no way out, OTL was caught good and proper and spent Saturday decorating, something OTL hates!

He was playing about with the sealant and we went to have a sniff, it was Horrible. It made our eyes go wobbly and Holly could not stop sneezing.

We cleared off to the garden for some fresh air and to hunt monster cats and rabbits!

Later, after our afternoon walk, OTL was painting the ceiling, so we sneaked in to have a sniff of the paint.

That was worse, Holly managed to get some on the end of her nose and she said it tasted nasty when she tried to lick it off!

We got out of there double quick time and got OTL to take us into the loft for a run around and it kept us out of the way of the paint!

Hiding from the Paint!
We can see why OTL hates decorating, the smell is awful!

See you all tomorrow.

Friday and a New Rawhide Chew

Hello Mates,

D&H back again.

Hello to Michael and welcome to the world of Daisy & Holly.

I really don't know how we made it through the night, my stomach was rumbling and groaning all night long. Holly started to hallucinate, she said she saw chickens running around her food bowl pinching some of the Doggy Food!

Now we know that the food man comes on Friday morning so we both sat at the kitchen door waiting. The Missus was cooking something we had not had before and we were unsure if it was for us or Old Two Legs breakfast.

It was for us! Pigs Liver and Doggy Biscuits, well we woofed that down in a flash, didn't even have time to draw breath. There was even some left over for a lunch time snack!

TM out did herself on this one, now all we need now is some chicken for dinner tonight, just to round the day off!

The food man also brought us our Rawhide Chews, one each, but the trouble is, we can't decide which one is best, the one I have or the one Holly has. So, we try pinching each others, then get into a growling match over who has what chew!

It's all good fun really and it gives OTL a chance to try to make us stop growling and woofing at each other.

No Chance!

Auntie Sheila came over today to play at making cards with TM, I don't think there was much card making 'cos they were both gassing away like their lives depended on it!

Just for a change the sun is shining today. The birds are fighting over nest boxes and the Blue Tits are diving in and out of their nest box with bits of grass.

Spring is here!

It won't be long before OTL takes us down to Canterbury and we can run through the Marshes again while he attempts to take pictures of Bitterns and all sorts of ducks and birdies!

We may even start digging up the flower garden, just to help TM of course!

See you tomorrow.

Late Birthday Present

Hi All!

D&H back again.

A big welcome to Granny Darley who has joined our merry little band.

Now I must tell you how hard we've been working today.

First of all we went into Guard Dog mode early this morning when Old Two Legs let us out into the garden.  We just got out of the kitchen door when we spotted 'Hissin Chrissy' that bad tempered cat from up the road.

Off we went after her, woofing and howling and snarling. Chrissy just shot over the fence in a full panic and we could hear her hissing and spitting on the other side of the fence, so that means more howling and snarling and woofing from us.

What a way to start the day, it was GREAT!!

The postman arrived with a box for OTL and we kept close to him when he opened it, 'cos we could smell the honey comb! A late birthday present from Number Two Daughter, she has been waiting since Christmas for the shop to get new stock. We will try the mugging bit tonight if he opens the pack!

We went out with OTL down to the Riverside Park, super fun chasing the gulls and woofing at the other dogs!

Running through Riverside Park
We chased each other all the way around the park, up and down the beach and we even stayed out of the mud, just for OTL!

Staying out of the mud for OTL
After the walk, I got back in the car, but Holly decided she still wanted a walk and was not prepared to get back in yet. So, she led OTL all over the car park, around the buildings and nearly got into the children's playground, the one with the swings and stuff!

Finally she got back into the car, laughing all over her face and OTL called her a Horrid Holly, which was fun 'cos we had just been around a bit of the park that is called Horrid Hill!

On our way home we were making up songs about Horrid Holly and car parks, OTL joined in with chorus but he got it wrong in the middle and Holly and me had to stop singing because we were laughing so much!

The breakfast has gone back to Doggy Food, and, it was still there at lunch time!

I expect someone will report The Missus to the RSPCD (Royal Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Doggies'!

We're going into 'Starving Puppy' mode now with fainting attacks brought on by malnutrition.

Trouble is, I don't know if I'll be able to keep it up until tomorrow!

I'll let you know what happens.

Bye Bye for now,

Luv

Wet Wednesday

Hi All you Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again for some more fun.

We got chicken again for breakfast, so The Missus is learning her lesson!

It was a chilly start to the day, all sort of windy and from the North then it swung around to the East but it didn't get any warmer!

We went out with Old Two Legs at lunch time for a run along the Sea Wall, the tide was right in and the wind was blowing it further up the beach than normal. That meant there was a sort of frothy stuff, just like doggy shampoo, at the waters edge. OTL called it froth. I don't know what it supposed to taste like but this stuff was salty, and it went right up my nose when I tried a sniff!

It's Frothy!
Holly said I was daft having a sniff of it 'cos you don't know if a shark was hiding in the froth and if he was, he would bite your head off and you'd never be able to eat again!

I think she was telling Porkies, but I didn't hang about to find out!

I picked up a small stick and ran off, Holly chased me and we had a game of 'My Stick'

My Stick!
Holly and I don't remember the sun coming up when we went out, so the 'glow' is OTL messing about with the picture on his computer.

We got Lamb Mince and Carrot tonight and OTL has got Curry, so it's a double good nosh-up, providing we can mug OTL for some nibbles.

No contest!

See you tomorrow.

Daisy & Holly
