Phew! What a Hot Day!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here.

What a glorious day it has been, sunshine from the word go this morning!

We got up a bit late today 'cos we over slept after being 'On Patrol' last night.

There was some strange noises that needed investigating and we discovered that it was The Missus talking in her sleep, something about Copic Pens and Camel Hair Brushes!

We went out with Old Two Legs to pick up some radios down at the local docks, there were some huge ships in the harbour, all sort of rusty and a funny smell of sea salt and mud!

We went out for our lunch time walk along the Sea Defence Wall and found a bag with some ones lunch in it, OTL said we had to leave it in case they came back for it!
Lunch?
There were a couple of fishermen having a snooze, I suppose their worms learnt how to swim and they were waiting for them to come back!

Snoozing Fishermen!
Holly had a look for the worms but could not see them, so we left the Fishermen and wandered off.

A little later we met up with Doris, an old Dalmatian who was out for a stroll along the wall, we said 'hello' and had a chat about the smells we had found.

Hello Doris.
Her owner was a gentle lady who gave us a stroke and Holly got and extra long tickle behind the ear!

Holy gets a tickle!
When we got home we spent the afternoon either snoozing in OTL's office or sun bathing in the garden!

A seriously sunny day that we hope will keep on until the end of Easter!

We are off on holiday tomorrow morning after OTL has done his jobs, so we are getting excited about that already!

Be Bye for now and we will see you tomorrow!

A day Baby Sitting with The Missus

Hello all!

We've been out with TM today baby sitting The Boys.

Just for a change instead of charging around the garden when we got there, we asked TM to take us down to The Lake.

It was great fun chasing around, saying hello to all the dogs we met, plus the ducks and geese.

Holly still wants to know if they taste like chicken!

All this running about made us both thirsty and hot, so, Holly said she was going in for a swim, but she only got as far as her tummy before she turned around and came out!

Thinking about it!

Decided against it!
She said that a paddle was as good as a swim on a warm sunny day like today!

We found an old log that The Boys climbed all over and Holly, being Holly, just had to climb as well. I'm sure that in a previous life she must have been a monkey!
Don't wobble the log Holly!
We got TM to take a picture of us with The Boys and Holly thinks that they got almost as much fur on their heads as we have!

Who clips your fur?
After a while they went into the playground where us doggies aren't allowed, so we crashed out in the shade of the fence.I think it was the first time we had stopped all day!

At last a rest!
It was good to get back home and see Old Two Legs, poor lad had been working so hard all day!
After dinner, we just crashed out, it has been a very tiring day and we are a couple of sleepy puppies so I think we may even have an early night, if OTL gets our beds out before sitting down to watch TV!

Not long now before we are off for a few days break, going to see the sheep and lambs, just like last year!

There is a great long beach with loads of space to run about, Holly and me are getting excited about seeing it all again!

See you tomorrow!

Easter is coming!

Hi everyone,

Daisy and Holly here again on a fine and sunny Sunday!

Old Two Legs, flushed with his success at washing the caravan yesterday decided that he would wash the cars today.

After yesterdays fun and games, he told The Missus that he was going down to B&Q to buy a new hose pipe 'cos the old one kept leaking and where he chopped off the end bits it was getting too short to reach our to the cars!

So, being a decisive sort of person, he told TM he was off to buy another one, forgetting it was Sunday and they didn't open until ten in the morning!

We set off at nine, got some fuel for the car then had at least a half hour to kill until the shop opened, so we went down The Woods!

It was great, all the leaves were growing on the branches and the birds were singing and Holly saw two large dogs jumping into a pond in the wood, chasing sticks their owners had thrown in. Holly being a friendly sort went to say 'Hello' but these doggies thought she was after their sticks and they woofed at her and chased her away!

OTL and I laughed at at her and she ran quickly back to us after getting woofed at!

Holly got a little way down the path then turned around and blew a big loud raspberry at the dogs, just to teach them a lesson!

The rest of the day was spent either sitting in the caravan watching OTL wash cars or having a chew on a carrot in the garden, well, the sun was out and what better way to spend a Sunday than resting in the garden and chewing on a carrot?

Tomorrow we are off to see The Boys, TM is doing some more baby sitting, so we will not see OTL all day and he will just have to get on with his work rather than take us for long walks!

Poor old OTL!

See you tomorrow and we will tell you what we got up to!

Bye bye for now,

Luv,

Getting ready for Easter!

Yo Ho Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here with some more fun.

Today The Missus packed her card making stuff and went off to her local crop in the village hall for another day of gassing and little card making. You know she takes mountains of cardy type stuff and comes back with nothing except a drawing or two she has painted!

We didn't care, Old Two Legs and us washed the caravan, and got it all ready for the Easter Holiday we have booked. Well, OTL did all the washing and we played inside the caravan, having play fights and watching from the windows for dogs and cats or people we can woof at!

Watching OTL do the washing was fun, he has not washed the van since last year and it had got a bit grubby and there was some moss and dead leaves on the roof, so, there was OTL stretched across the roof trying to wash off all this stuff and the water was running all over the roof and down the sides of the caravan. OTL was up a ladder by the side of the caravan and the water was coming off the roof and down OTL's trousers and soaking him from the waist down!

Holly and me were laughing so hard we fell off the seat and onto the floor!

It took OTL most of the morning to get the caravan looking clean and when he finished at around two, we asked if we could have a walk down by the sea. Yeah, it was great going down to the beach again after being stuck inside the caravan all morning!

Mind you, OTL had to change out of all his wet clothes first!

Trotting on the beach.
Holly and I had great fun running along the beach getting our paws wet and sandy!

We met up with a family walking along The Wall and they had a young dog called Pete, who said hello and we had a little chase around with him!

Pete and family!
On the way back OTL saw this Peacock Butterfly on the ground having a sun bathe! He got a couple of pictures before it flew away!

Peacock Butterfly.
For the little time I saw it, it looked very pretty with it's wings laid flat and it looked like it had four eyes.
A bit like OTL, he's got four eyes, but he's not as pretty as the butterfly!

We had chicken for dinner, it certainly made a welcome change from the Doggy Food!

Can't wait until we get a bite of the pig bones OTL bought, but I think he is keeping them for our Easter Holiday!

See you tomorrow!

Sniffs at the Doggy Shop

Hello Everyone,

D&H back to see you again.

We have had an exhausting day today, we've been all over the place, first of all there was the morning walk, then Old Two Legs got his list of jobs delivered from The Missus.

Somehow he accidentally dropped the list into the office paper shredder and could not stick the bits back together again. He was so scared that TM would tell him off that he didn't tell her about the accident!

Then we were off to drop some stuff off and got to the Post Office and the Bank, busy, busy morning!

On our way up to the computer shop we stopped off at the big green grass area and had a run around, but we had to stay on the lead 'cos there were too many little children and big children running around, so OTL wanted to keep us in check!

Spoil Sport!

After that we went up to the Doggy Shop! Oh the wonderful sniffs in that place, we dragged OTL all around the shop and back again.

Then we helped him decide on what to buy.

We went for some Chicken and Tripe Doggy Food, we didn't fancy the other stuff! Then we went for our treats, first there was some chicken strips, we love them. Then we got OTL to buy some Tripe Nibbles, we've not had them before so that is something new!

Then we got a big bag of Roast Pigs Ears, yeah, real super chewing stuff that is, and it keeps us quiet for a good thirty minutes!

But best of all, a real super new treat to keep us busy for hours is the two gigantic roast pig bones!!!

We could smell them through the plastic bag, they looked as good as they smelt and they smelt out of this world!

Holly and me decided that tonight, OTL could have his medicinal slurp of the Water of Life and we would not mug him for a bit of short bread!

Now, are we kind to him or wot!

We both decided that tonight we will be dreaming of those bones all night long and into our 'After Wake Up Snoozett'!

I'll let you know tomorrow!

Bye Bye for now.

Back to The Farm looking for more sniffs!

Hello Woofers,

Daisy & Holly with a report on today's goings on!

We went out with Old Two Legs this morning over The Fields, not too clever as it was beginning to rain and I just did not fancy getting wet! Luckily, by the time we got to the field it had stopped raining and it was just a bit windy, didn't mind that at all!

We got back to some chicken for breakfast and The Missus followed that up with some Doggy Food, not too pleased about that!

We had our normal 'after breakfast snoozett' and went off with OTL to deliver some stuff. After that, The Farm!

OTL decided that we would try a new path and let us loose on the new path once we were away from the road.

New Path, New Sniffs!
When we got to the other side of the field, there was a wood with loads of Bluebells and bunches of  Wild Primrose's, OTL tried to photograph the Primrose but he really should have a tripod if he wants to do it properly!

Wild Primrose
We had a run around the woods and found a big chalky pit and hill that Holly and me ran right up to the top and off into the woods!

Quarry Dogs!
Well, OTL couldn't find the path that went all the way around, so we had to go back the way we had come!

We had a laugh at OTL not finding the path!

Laughing at OTL
We met up with a couple of young Jack Russell dogs, just seven months old. These two were not only noisy but they got Holly all wound up and she threatened to bite them both, so their owner took them on another path to get away from us!
Holly tells them off!
Holly was still grumbling when we met up with Peanut who was a gentle giant but Holly was a little off with him!

Holly with attitude!
Still not back to her normal self she even told the old dog fox to stay on his side of the field or she would box his ears!

A Fox in his place!
When we got back home, we had Liver for dinner, so we now have a very happy Holly and a happy Daisy!

Two little doggies with full tummy's having a cuddle with OTL, life is indeed good!

See you tomorrow!

TM is coming back and we are clean and smelling sweet just for her!

Hello Everyone,

D&H here!

We had a great time last night, Old Two Legs said that as The Missus is coming home on Wednesday, we could have a bit of a party!

So, we got out the nibbles and some of the chicken strips and a few beef strips and the chocolaty buttons and the mini Rawhide Chews.

We then sat on the sofa and sang songs and told jokes and had a laugh about the Not Not Neddies. OTL got out his 'sipping whisky' and the short bread that Jacqui sent him.

We even had OTL singing a song about The Calico Printers Daughter, which he said was famous, or was it infamous!

By the time we went to bed (very late) all the shortbread had gone as had most of the nibbles, but the Sipping Whisky was still safe in the decanter, well half of it anyway!

We all had big bellies and fell asleep in no time. Needless to say, we over slept this morning!

After a run around The Fields, OTL gave us both a brush, to make us look good for when TM comes back, and we retired to our day bed for a snooze after breakfast.

Breakfast was Doggy Food again, we were not too happy about that and only had a nibble. Just enough to stop our tummies rumbling!

Our Lunch Time walk was an 'Adventure' all in it's self. We went for a walk along he Sea Defence Wall and on the beach, 'cos the tide was out, I mean right out. Well I was going along enjoying the sniffs when, all of a sudden, and without any warning, I stepped into a big soft, wet, mucky, muddy patch, right up to my knees!

Mucky Paws!
It was all smelly and squishy and it stuck to my fur as well and got in-between my claws.

OTL called me a mucky puppy and that I was going to get a foot bath when we got home. So, I thought, might as well make the most of this!

A little bit later as we had turned inland to go home, I found this enormous pile of super smelly poo.

Yep, that's right, I had a little roll in it. It was so good, I went back for another roll!

OTL had wandered off in front so he could not see what I was doing, so, I had another roll!

By now, Holly had arrived on the scene, she thought it was a good sniff as well, so she had a roll in it, then just like me, she had another roll!

We did not go near OTL even though he was calling us, we chased each other around all over the place.

Finally we had to go to OTL to have out leads put on so we could get through the car park and back to the car.

He was not a happy OTL, he called us 'disgusting' and 'smelly' and 'A right pair of Pongo's'

We sort of knew we were in for a bath when we got back, 'cos all the way home we were tied to the loops in the back of the car and we weren't allowed on the seats!

Yep, we were washed, rinsed, dried and sent to the naughty corner, (our day bed).

We stayed there and had an afternoon snooze until TM came back.

Oh, were we pleased to see her, we licked her and jumped up for a cuddle for at least five minutes, then we ran around in circles in the front room woofing all over the place!

As a present, TM gave us a carrot each, Holly is really into carrots and was absolutly delighted, me, I can take them or leave them but I did have a chew to show my appreciation!

An super end to a super day!

See you all tomorrow.

Today is for Relaxing!

Hi Fans!

D&H here!

We had a super night, no burglars or noisy cats, just a super peaceful time cuddling our rawhide chews and listening to Old Two Legs snoring.

Well I think it was OTL, mind you, it could have been Holly!

We had a little bit of a lay in, 'cos you see it's The Missus that gets up early and makes so much noise that we can't sleep. However, OTL is a late sleeper and we get a few extra minutes to wake up properly!

Having TM away has it's benefits, until it comes to breakfast time.

There we were, expecting chicken or liver or lamb in our food bowl and what did we see this morning?

Doggy Food!

Yuk, YUk, YUK!

It's going to be a hungry time until dinner tonight!

Holly and me spent most of the morning sitting at the window looking at the world go by and at the same time keeping an eye out for TM in case she decided to come home early and feed us some proper food. When she didn't, we went back to sleep in our day beds and snoozed until lunch time.

Still waiting for The Missus!
Around midday we went out with OTL to do the deliveries and post some stuff. Then he says, 'where now girls?'

The New Park!

It was a little windy but we didn't care, the sun was shining and we also said 'Hello' to the Not Neddies!

Hello Not Neddies!
For some reason they were not pleased, a couple came over and said 'we don't talk to little puppies and another thing, we are not Not Neddies'!

We are not Not Neddies.
Well that was it, Holly got right upset with them, fancy them acting like they own the park!

Watch this, she whispered to me.

She got up on the post thing and called out to the Not Neddies, 'Hey, you lot'!

Hey, you lot!
When they looked over Holly shouted back, 'Your right, you aren't Not Neddies, your a load of rude Not Not Neddies'!

And with that, she blew a Raspberry at them!

Your a bunch of Not Not Neddies!
Off we ran, laughing at the Not Not Neddies for being so rude and in the end only looking foolish, that'll  teach them!

We went for the long walk around the orchards and came back via the swimming pool. We said hello to some of the lads there but didn't hang about as OTL was getting ahead of us up the path!
The Lads around the swimming pool.
After all that running about we were tired little puppies and we slept most of the way home. Looking forward to our chicken tonight, OTL has promised!

See you tomorrow,

TM's Gone Baby Sitting Again!

Hello All,

Daisy & Holly here again!

What a wonderful sunny day today, If this keeps up we are set for a brilliant summer.

When we got back from walking this morning, The Missus, had left for her baby sitting duties. So, we were left alone with Old Two Legs all day.

It's not so bad really, we get to go for a walk when we want, 'cos all we have to do is 'woof' a couple of times, and I go up to him and stroke his leg with my paw and there he is reaching for the lead!

He's a big softy really!

Today we went to The Farm, a super place full of new sniffs. We saw that they have been cutting down some trees and making a clearing in the forest.

Can't see the wood for the trees!
It was strange seeing all that open space where before there were trees, we would run around in the trees and chase foxes and rabbits!

Now, all we see is open space and Bluebells, which 'aint so bad I suppose, at least it is a bit of colour!

Bluebells
It was great fun hiding in the flowers and letting Holly try to find me, every so often I'd stick my head up and shout 'Boo', just to surprise OTL or Holly!

Hiding in the Bluebells
Holly and I like running along the road on The Farm as well, we can get a good turn of speed but OTL has to watch out for the cars and lorries on this road. We have to go to him if he calls us and most of the time we do, I suppose it's the way he says 'Here' all sort of meaningful and demanding instant attention.

Any other time we take no notice of him at all!

Watch out for the cars!
After getting home we were worried that TM had not come back or even phoned OTL, so we sat in the window waiting for her to come home.

Waiting for The Missus.
We saw several of the neighbours, some of the local dogs and at least four cats. You can imagine how we woofed at the cats!

It looks like TM is going to be away for a few days 'cos by the time we were ready for bed she still had not come home. It's not the same without TM giving us a cuddle on the sofa.

Poor OTL, he had to cook his own dinner tonight, he really can't cook like TM, the flames coming out of the cooker are nowhere near as big as when TM cooks, and, he didn't set the smoke alarm off!

So we reckon his dinner was ruined, no smoke, no flames, he's not very good at this cooking lark!

We were OK, we got chicken again, then we mug OTL for some of his dinner and after that, a nibble of Jacqui's shortbread!

Posh puppies or wot!

See you tomorrow.

What a Super Sunday!

YO HO Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here!

We have had a Super Day today, first of all we had a walk across The Farm with Old Two Legs and waved bye bye to The Missus and Sheila as they raced off to Ally Pally to meet all their crafty mates.

When we got back we had a special breakfast of liver and biscuits, which we devoured in no time at all!

Then we helped OTL load the car up with all the stuff we would need for today.

Dog food, drinking water, bowls for us to eat out of and bowls for us to drink out of, and rawhide chews so we don't get bored on the way down there, an our day bed for snoozing in on the way to Canterbury, and OTL's camera stuff.

When we got there we jumped out of the car and were off to explore while OTL got all the gear out of the car.

We had a rest after about an hour, we had to, OTL is not as fit as he used to be and he needs his rest stops!

Checking OTL's seat for Foxes!
We stopped at some of the sheds that are called 'Bird Hides', I still don't know why they call them that, I mean, I've never seen a bird hiding in one!

Holly looking for birds!
Holly first checked out the shed, just to make sure there was no one in there to steal our lunch!

Marsh Harrier
We saw a Marsh Harrier outside and kept a keen eye on it,OTL said it likes frogs and little puppies!

We must have walked loads of miles, by the time we got back to the car, OTL had carried me on his shoulder a couple of times 'cos I was dog tired!

When we got home, TM was waiting for us with a bowl of liver, it tasted just like it did this morning, Grrreat!

We also got a surprise present, Jacqui and Steve met TM at Ally Pally and gave her some chicken and some lamb 'Nibble Treats', they were super, best of all she sent some really posh shortbread she had made, and it was supposed to be just for OTL.

Fat Chance!

When we settled down with OTL after dinner, we helped him eat some of the shortbread, and it tasted wonderful!

We are going to make sure we help him eat the rest!

Thanks Jacqui & Steve, you certainly know how to get to OTLs heart, straight through his stomach,  which is too big 'cos he keeps eating shortbread and drinking malt whisky!

See you tomorrow.
