Holiday but OTL is still working!

13th May

Hello All,

Daisy & Holly back with you again.

We have been lazy today, well sort of half lazy then.

This morning Old Two Legs has been busy on the laptop doing some work that had to be done today. Unfortunately the laptop link with the office computer keeps crashing and OTL has started saying rude things about The Computer, the Dongle, The Telephone Link and the Office Computer!

Naughty OTL!

He finished getting all wound up around mid morning and said that it would help him humour if we went for a walk in the woods. Well that's always OK by us and Holly and me went charging off chasing the Pesky Squirrels again.

After we got back from a super long walk, my leg started hurting, so much did it hurt that I could not even walk to me food bowl, even though it was full of Doggy Food.

OTL picked me up and gave my leg a rub and put me into the back of the car where Holly was resting in the sun shine. We had a snooze while OTL tried to get a picture of the Nuthatch, which never arrived!

Then it was lunch time and OTL took us all down to the local pub where they let dogs in the bar!

It was a proper grown up pub where people stood around talking about crops and the lack of rain and drank pints of local beer. (Horrible Stuff!)

OTL and TM had lunch, Holly and me fell asleep on the floor listening to everyone talking 'shop'.

TM decided she wanted to go shopping so we went to a local supermarket where TM got us a special treat of a strange Doggy Chew that looked like a sausage wrapped in rawhide and that's what is was, except it was not a sausage, it was another bit of rawhide!

Holly says that it is really some local squirrel that has been smoked and roasted then turned inside out, especially for us dogs!

I'll let you know tomorrow!

We still can't get the blog to upload, seems that they haven’t fixed what ever it is that's wrong!

Bye bye for now,

Luv

Pesky Squirrels and all that.

12th May

Hi Everyone,

D&H back again!

We are having problems up loading to our blog, we tried to load yesterdays news and the system told us we couldn't! So, we are going to get Old Two Legs to have a look and you may get a few days adventures all at the same time!

Every time we try to up load we get the 'Blogger is currently unavailable' , not sure if it is us or them!

Today we spent all day with The Missus, we got walked and then we went onto 'Squirrel Watch' 'cos there's a pesky squirrel that hangs about around the tree near out caravan and when we are inside the caravan it comes down from the tree and prances up and down in front of us!

Pesky Squirrel
Well, Holly and me go potty!

We are woofing and trying to get out of the window and the squirrel sees we can't get to it, so it dances up and down again blowing raspberries at us!
One day we will be able to get out of the window, we'll make it dance then!

OTL came back after his day out and had one or two snaps that looked OK.

This is is a Black Headed Gull with one leg.

Capt'n Seagull

And this is a Reed Warbler.
Reed Warbler
When he got back, went out with OTL into the forest and saw a deer, as it ran away it's white bottom was flashing like indicator lights, sort of  'I'm off and I'm going this way!'

Holly and I thought that was funny but we didn't bother to chase it 'cos we knew dinner would be on the table when we got back and we both felt a little peckish!

See you tomorrow!

A Trip to Bempton Cliffs

11th May 2011

Hello You Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again from Sunny Norfolk!

We decided to go to Bempton Cliffs in South Yorkshire which is a four hour car ride away, so, to get a good days fun and games we set off at six in the morning, which if all we did was get up and go. Not The Missus, first she has to have her morning coffee, then a shower, then tidy the caravan up and after all that, have breakfast, wash up and a quick run around with the electric carpet sweeper!

That means the alarm went off at four thirty!

Old Two Legs was not a happy puppy at that time in the morning!

We got there at ten to eleven, which wasn't too bad and we set off for a charge along the cliff tops to see the birds.

OTL was carrying his camera gear that weighed a ton and TM had us on a lead all the time 'cos she said we might fall off the cliff edge!

We left OTL snapping away and we went on an 'explore'.

Poo City
First thing you need to know is that this place is where the Gannets, Razor Bill, Kittiwakes, Guillemot and Puffin all nest. Plus there were a few others I can't remember, but, all these birds building nests, laying eggs, catching fish and eating them on the nest means that they need to poo near the nest. Normally just over the edge, so you don't want to be down the bottom of the cliffs if you know what I mean!

But, all these birds, all the fish and all that poo'ing, that made for one almighty pong! It was horrible, all sort of bird poo and fish, Yuk!

New Neighbours?
We had a great time and walked for miles, we kept TM going and we're sure it did her some good. Half way through the afternoon she took us back to the car and had a snooze, which was OK but for the snoring!

OTL took loads of pictures like the one here and the one underneath, not bad but the birds would not sit still for him, so there were a load that he had to throw away!

Bill Slapping (No, his name is not Bill!)
See you tomorrow

We are still catching up on our sleep!

OTL's got problems!

Hello Woofers!

Just a quick note to say that Old Two Legs says he has got problems with his Dongle!

I said he should see the vet and get some worming tablets but it's something to do with the computer!

So, I am doing my blog each day for you all and I will up load it all when I get back home, and yes, there are loads of pictures!

See you all soon,

Cromer Beach Babes

Hello to you all,

Daisy & Holly here from sunny Norfolk!

Well in fact, we've been to a place up the coast from Cromer today for a 'Run and a Roll in the Sand.'

When we first got down there, Old Two Legs had to pay a fortune to park the car, well he said it was a fortune and that he was surrounded by robbers, but he does exaggerate sometimes!

Then we walked down towards the beach. On the right there was golden sand stretching for miles and on the left there was a stony beach that also stretched for miles!

In the middle, between the two beaches, we saw a sign, a big sign that announced 'No Dogs on the Beach between 1st May and end of September' .

We were crest fallen, banned from the beach just 'cos we got four legs instead of two!

There were some people sitting on the sand on the beach to the right but there was no one on the beach to the left.

The Missus said that it was a shame but we couldn't go on the beach, OTL said he was dyslexic and we were going on the left hand beach!

So we did!

The Beach with no one on it!
It was great running along the sandy bits and the rocks were not too large so we didn't hurt our feet and of course we could run up and down the side of cliff 'cos it sloped and was all soft.

After about an hour of running up and down the sand hills and digging holes in the sand and chasing a ball we had found, we were feeling very hot and thirsty. Holly said she was going to have a slurp of the sea water. It didn't taste very nice but it was cold, so , I just collapsed into the water, it was wonderful.

Well after that I decided I would have a swim and told Holly I was a submarine with my periscope up and I was going to sink the Holly!

She said I looked daft and started to splash me by hitting the water with her paw saying she was a Not Not Neddies and that's how they would get rid of submarines, if they were on the sea!

Periscope Up!
We were very tired by the time we had walked up and down the beach and we both slept all the way home, then we slept after we had our dinner and we plan to go to bed early 'cos we got to get up early to go to Bempton, a place in Yorkshire, so OTL can photograph Gannets (big sea birds that taste like chicken, according to Holly!)

By the way, I nearly forgot, this morning TM found a Toad in the awning and OTL scooped it into one of our drinking bowls so that TM could return it to the forest. TM said it was a shame to waste such a pretty toad, but if we found some more, we could have Toad in the Hole tonight!

A Toad in a Hole!
She is getting worse, in fact she is getting as bad as Holly!

See you all tomorrow,

A Day with The Missus

Hi Everyone!

The Holiday Girls here again!

We have been good little puppies today, we stayed with The Missus when Old Two Legs went off with his camera to take pictures of birds, boring!

Me and Holly spent the day trying to ambush the squirrel that comes close to the caravan. We would pretend to be asleep, then, at the very last moment we would both spring up and try to capture the squirrel.

Well,it was just too quick for us and maybe we did start to chase it before it was close enough!
One of the Pesky Squirrels!
It was good fun while it lasted, but we got bored after an hour or two and then started on the pigeons!

They're a bit slower but they run away vertically!

TM took us for a walk up the forest but we didn't see any more foxes, just the smell of them, and that was a few days old!

We had some time to have a really good gnaw of our Pork Bones which was really great 'cos when OTL is here with us, there is so much we do that we don't get time for a really relaxing laid back gnaw!

When OTL came back we gave him our normal 'Super Hello' which involved loads of licks and a cuddle on his lap, both of us at the same time!

OTL likes that and always gives us a cuddle as well, I'm sure he misses us just as much as we miss him!

He showed us the photo's he too and Holly and me picked one for our blog, we think it has a 'cheeky' face!

OTL's Reed Warbler

We are going to have an early night tonight 'cos we are up early to go down to the beach, loads of sand to dig holes in and sea water to have a paddle in and sea weed to roll in and dead crabs to chew on!

We're getting all excited just thinking about it!

See you all tomorrow and we'll let you know what happens.

Bye for now,

Luv

It's a dogs life in the Forest!

Hello Workers!

D&H here from sunny Norfolk!

It has been a really lazy Sunday today, we got up late, had a super breakfast, mugged Old Two Legs for some bacon from his breakfast and we got a little wet when The Missus took us out for our morning constitutional!

OTL gave us a rub down with a warm towel and a lovely brush to get the knots out of our fur!

A little later the sun came out and we got OTL to take us out for another walk in the forest. I mean, if you are on holiday you've got to enjoy it!

We spent time looking out of the caravan window at the world going by and then woofing at anyone that looked dodgy! That includes the birds and the squirrels and any stray dogs that pass!

Holly & OTL on Guard!
With Holly on guard duty I could relax and have my snoozett without worrying!

When we go out for a walk we have to stick to a path in the wood where everyone is supposed to go if you have a doggy with you. Now, I'm all for a peaceful life and I understand that we all have to get on with each other, but as Holly said, they surely can't expect us to pee in that!

If they think we are going to pee in that, they're going to be disappointed!
We have been chasing squirrels all day and now the evening has come we are both a little worn out, so we've taken over OTL's seat and sent him out to fill up the water tank!

Do not disturb, unless you have chicken or some liver freshly cooked!
Tomorrow OTL is going out bird watching and has told us that the RSPB don't allow dogs on their sites, spoil sports, but as Holly said, we don't allow birds at our dog shows!

A big WOOF to all the lads including Jaspers and Dougal, the smells here are terrific, you would just love them!

See you tomorrow,

We've got a whole day with TM, that should be fun!

We're Here!

Hello Woofers!

D&H here, on holiday, in a place that was used by the Desert Rats, well that's what Old Two Legs tells us!

We got here with no real trouble, in fact we slept most of the way here. So, when we arrived we were full of it and wanted to have a really long walk!

OTL got going and got the caravan set up and we went with him to get the water.

OTL even put up the Tibetan Prayer Flags, OTL says we need all the help we can get to have good weather and not so much rain!

I thought I saw a squirrel!
Holly said she had seen a little rat with a big hairy tail that ran up trees! I said they were called squirrels and they are supposed to be very tasty, providing you can catch them!

OTL took us for a walk in the forest and I saw a fox and went tearing after it to say 'hello'. I'm not sure he understood what I wanted 'cos it turned tail and seemed to disappear into the forest!

Forest Run
We went on further and saw some birds and loads of trees!

We also saw the 'Desert Rat', well a picture of it. At first we thought it was supposed to be a picture of a Dormouse but OTL said it was the Desert Rat badge.

Desert Rat that looks like a Dormouse!
Holly and me found a stick and had a good tug to see who should carry it back to show The Missus, but it broke and we ended up with a stick each!

Holly was looking out the caravan window and started woofing and said there was a squirrel outside, so we both woofed and it ran up the tree again!

It's hard work squirrel watching!
I kept a close lookout in case it came back but I fell asleep waiting!

Just in time to go to bed and dream of what we are going to do tomorrow!

Bye for now,

DEFCON 3 and all that!

Hi All!

Daisy & Holly here again.

Today there has been loads of movement in and out of the house, we have seen the caravan door open and close so many times I reckon Old Two Legs will need to have a look at the hinges to see if they are worn out!

I know we are supposed to be going on holiday tomorrow but Holly and I think they could be about to 'pull a fast one' and sneak off today without telling us!

So, we are on 'High Alert' or as Holly says, 'DEFCON 3'

That means, Holly on the back of the arm chair watching everything going in and out of the front door.

Your under Surveillance and I'm counting the boxes!
Me on the stairs keeping an overall watch on the transportation of food stuffs!

Got my Eye on You and I don't see any of My Pig Bones!
We saw that Trevor left a comment yesterday about having an armed guard with OTL when he fills the car up with fuel, silly boy Trev, OTL has got D&H Guarding on constant guard!

Well, all morning we were watching OTL & TM, then suddenly activity stopped, The Missus sat down and played on her computer and OTL was still in his office throwing bits of paper about!

It's not that we don't trust them, it's just that we don't trust them, if you know what I mean!

So, Holly took over 'Stairs Patrol' and I had a 'pretend' snooze in the day bed in OTL's office!

OTL finally got all his work done and called us to go for a car ride to deliver some stuff and then a run around the New Park.

When we got there we first of all said 'hello' to the Not Not Neddies, but they didn't reply, as normal!

Not Not Neddies saying Nothing!
Then we went down to the swimming hole and said hello to the lads down there who always seem to be hanging around the pond!

Holly put her front paws on the bridge and did some 'push ups', she said it made her look all slim and trim.

Do I look good or wot!
So I tried it and decided that Holly was talking a load of old cats poo!

In your dreams Porkie!

We bumped into Patrick and had a sniff all round!

Yo Patrick my lad!
Then we met 'Dobby' a little bundle of fun and fur! He wouldn't leave us alone and his owner had to come and pick him up before he would leave us!

It's Dobby Dog!
OTL said that the only other Dobby he has heard of was a 'House Elf' in the Harry Potter films!

As we were getting near to the car OTL pointed out a large plume of smoke and said that we were near to that before we came to The New Park and we were lucky not to have got caught in the traffic jam!

We were near that a while ago!

I hope they clear it all away before tomorrow 'cos me and Holly are off on holiday in the morning, if we can get OTL and The Missus to get up early enough.

Maybe a lot of woofing or better still, the old 'cold wet nose' in the ear, that normally does it!

See you tomorrow!

Back to the forest again!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back to see you again.

We have had a busy day today, Old Two Legs has been rushing around getting his work done so we can go on holiday on Saturday. He has been building stuff and making things and getting in one mighty panic 'cos stuff that supposed to arrive, didn't!

We have been down to the carriers twice with loads of gear and also we've been to The Farm twice!

The first time was just after we dropped The Missus off to have a shampoo and set and have her hair clipped. Why is it she can get an appointment in three days yet we have to wait over a month?

After dropping her off, we went onto the garage to fill up with fuel, then around the corner to The Farm.

I was a little worried about the place to begin with but Holly woofing and running up and down the path soon got me in the mood for some fun and games.

Off we went into the forest and I must admit I did go tearing off into the trees!

OTL blew the whistle, just to remind me that I should not go too far, which was OK by me as I don't want to have another scare like last time!

Back to the Forest Again!

We had a sniff around to see if there were any foxes about and while we were doing that, OTL got a call from TM to come and pick her up again!

That hour went very quickly!

Later in the day we had a longer run in the forest again and OTL took us deep into the trees where I am sure we found a fox hole, it was big but not as big as a Badgers Set, but certainly big enough for a fox.

We'll have to keep an eye on that hole in future!

We had a super dinner today, chicken, then afterwards we mugged OTL and TM for some sausages and  to complete the day, OTL gave us a good brush before we went off for our snoozett before going to bed!

Tomorrow, we have to get our bags packed , that should be fun, Holly can't remember where she left the bone!

See you tomorrow,

Luv

Daisy & Holly
