On Our Way!

Hello Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy & Holly very near to Scotland.

We were up good and early today to make sure Old Two Legs and The Missus were awake and ready to get going.
Only problem was, Holly didn't read the time properly and we got OTL up at two thirty in the morning!

so we ran down stairs and pretended we just wanted a wee!

At about six, both Holly and me woke them both up with a good ear licking and we were off!

The journey was rather boring, so far, we had some rain, we wee'd in a couple of motorway service stations, woofed at the truck drivers and went back to sleep


Finally we arrived at the camp site, a place called Englethorpe, strange name.

We got out of the car with OTL and went into the office.

The woman behind the counter told OTL to take us out of the office and tie us up to the post outside!

OTL asked if it was in some sort of shelter 'cos it was hissing down with rain, it wasn't and OTL was not happy!

So we had to go back into the car until he had paid for the night and got some place to park the caravan.

All over this caravan site there are anti dog notices saying we can't poo or go off the lead and keep to the path and stuff like that!

OTL says that these places are run by people who like lot's of 'Rules' and they are not happy unless there are loads of rules and if you don't keep the rules you get pointed at and made to feel like outcasts.



They don't know OTL!


I don't think that this is a site run by dog people, never mind, it's their loss!

We don't have any pictures to day 'cos OTL has been driving and TM has been snoring! Tomorrow we hope to have some for you 'cos we're going on two boats and that will be a first for both Holly and me!

So we are just about to go out with OTL for a walk in the forest and Holly reckons we should have a chat with the squirrels and get them to poo on the Reception Centre and throw nuts at anyone who doesn't like doggies!

We are off to bed now 'cos we have got to be up by six for an early start.

Nearly There!

Hello Woofers,

It's us again, Daisy & Holly back with you.

First of all, a big Helloing 'WOOF' to BikerDCR who has joined our happy band, we both hope you enjoy our blogs!

When OTL saw the name Biker, he said he used to be a 'Greaser' a thousand years ago, trouble is, we don't know what he is talking about!

This morning we got up really early, you see we decided to have a 'practice get up' for tomorrow. We didn't want to get up tomorrow and mess things up by missing something we should do before leaving.

So, first thing we jump onto Old Two Legs bed and give him a 'wake up' paw in the ear as we walked over to The Missus to lick her ear, then we walked back to OTL and give his ear a really good licking type wash, just to make sure he is awake!

Then it's a run down stairs to the back door and give our 'we want a wee' bark so TM let's us out into the garden.

Well that all went off OK, so we went back to bed and slept until nine!

TM was up early, says she couldn't sleep, not after we had been practising. She started loading more stuff into the caravan. Holly and me sneaked into the van and took some photos of our cupboards.

First of all there is the 'main meal' cupboard.

Next, we have to share with OTL & TM, the washing cupboard in the bathroom. (No bath but there is a shower and a washing bowl and a Two Legs, Poo Box Thingy)

Finally, we get a whole cupboard to ourselves for our favourite stuff!
We have even saved some nibbles we got from Auntie Karen (A Cat Person)

We went out with OTL for the last deliveries and the post, then he took us to the New Park for a run and a splash around in the swimming hole. That was great until a load of other dogs arrived and made a lot of noise and splashing about. One even tried to pinch my ball!

Holly went after him and said that if he didn't give our ball back she would unscrew his tail so he'd never be happy again!

That sorted him out, he dropped the ball and ran back to his owner for protection from Holly.

She can be sooo tough sometimes!

So now we are all packed, there is only OTL's camera stuff to load up in the morning, a drop of water and a few nibbles for the journey, then we are off!

Early night now and it is our job to wake OTL & TM up tomorrow, I hope we don't over sleep!

One more day to go!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again.

We have been chasing around today, loads of last minute packing, spare collar, poo bags, wipes for those messy bits that Old Two Legs has to clear up! So much to do, so little time!

We went out with OTL delivering and also dropped into see Andrea and the Girls, Sassy & Tilly. They have got a garden to die for, loads of room to play chase with Holly, Only problem was, it was raining most of the day, so no serious chasing!

When we got there, we were introduced to Matthew, the 'House Rabbit' now this rabbit lives in the house, it is house trained and goes outside for a wee and a poo. Chases dogs and eats Anchovies, dislikes carrots but eats lettuce and grass.

Some seriously mixed up rabbit they have there.

Holly reckons that with a little training it could be turned into a 'Mean Street Fighting Ninja Rabbit'!

We left it alone and tried our best to mug everyone for some lunch, without too much success!

By the time we got home we were starving so our dinner was woofed down in double quick time.

When we left, TM forgot to pick up our new super mobile drinking bowl from the kitchen, OTL had to stop at the Doggy Shop on the way home to get another one before we leave.

Only one more day to go, so it's early to bed and early to rise tomorrow as we pack everything away in the caravan. You know, we have Three cupboards for our stuff, there's food, nibbles, hair brushing, towels for when we get wet and our toys. You can't have enough toys!

Another seriously hot day

Hi Woofers,

Daisy & Holly back with you!

Wot a another seriously hot day it has been. Old Two Legs went out today and didn't take us with him. His excuse was that he would have left us in the car for too long and we would have shrivelled up like a couple of prunes before he came back! We think he was exaggerating a little but we gave him the benefit of the doubt this time!

So off he went and we stayed behind with The Missus. She took us for a long walk along the Sea Wall again and we said hello to the Fishermen who were waiting for the water to come back in. Holly went along all of them checking if they had any sandwiches left, but they had eaten all of them earlier and she then began to show off!

TM said that as we had been good puppies while OTL was out, she would buy us a present!

That made Holly a bit happier and she stopped showing off!

On the way back home, she stopped at the Co-op and got two carrots, one each!

That was super, Holly and I chewed them all the way home!

OTL has also got us a super prezzie as well, it's a water bowl designed to have water in it and be used in the car. The water does not slosh all over the place every time he goes around a corner, it stays in the bowl. Me and Holly think that will come in handy when we are off on holiday!

Tomorrow we are off out and OTL thinks he may even get a dip in a swimming pool, if he's lucky. Trouble is, I can smell rain on the wind and I think he will get wet without going into the pool!

Holly and I have got bets on when the rain will arrive, I say eleven and Holly says two in the afternoon.

Let's see who is right!

Off to bed now 'cos we still have a lot to do before Saturday, I've still got to pack and so has Holly.

OTL has been getting his stuff out and laying it on the bed for TM to pack in the caravan.  Holly keeps hiding in his stuff and TM keeps picking her up together with his socks and shirts!

Trouble is, Holly weighs a lot more than a few socks!

Big Brave Puppies we are!

Hi Woofers!

D&H back with you again.

What a hot sticky day it has been today, we were too hot when we woke up and stayed that way all day.


It has been a funny day today, Old Two Legs is still rushing around like a Bumble Bee at a flower sale and we are worn out trying to keep up with him!

First of all there was a mad rush to the carriers to get a load of stuff off to his customers, then a dash down to Herne Bay to collect some more stuff from his supplier.

As a 'special treat' he said we could have a run on the beach, unfortunately, when we got to the beach, it was full of people and children all running around or laying on the stones trying to get a tan.Well, that put paid to our run in the surf. Still, we had a quick run on a grassy bit by the park and piled back in the car to get back home in time to pack up some more stuff and get it to the carriers.

We were getting quite worn out with all this rushing about!

After that was all done we finally got down to our Sea Wall and had a wander along to beach.

I found a really super smell that I just could not resist, so I had a really super roll in it and totally ignored OTL as he was jumping up and down shouting NOOO!

We met up with a new visitor and had an introductory sniff all around, said our good byes and wandered off to chase the ball OTL had bought with him.

I sniff yours and you sniff hers!

Then we met up with a man who was talking to OTL about cameras, well you know OTL, he can talk forever about cameras, so we lay down besides them and sort of enjoyed the sun shine.

We got sleepy and did not notice a big Staffordshire Bull Terrier creeping through the grass towards OTL to see what was going on, well, without any thought, Holly and I jumped up and did our 'Clear Off' woofing and ran towards the Staffy.

Now normally we would be running a mile but this time the Staffy looked at us took two steps backwards, turned and ran off the way he had come!

Hey Wot! We had just seen off a big dog!

Are we the business or are We The Business!

Don't mess with us or you'll get Terrierorised!!!!!

We couldn't wait to get home to tell The Missus all about it and she rewarded us with some chicken for dinner this evening.

A super end to a super day.

Well it's still hot and sticky so were are looking for somewhere cool to sleep tonight, maybe the kitchen floor for us!

Looking good on Monday

Yo Ho Woofers,

It's us back again!

What a hot day today, the sun has been out and we have been getting some serious attention today.

First we started off by sitting in Old Two Legs office, by the window, waiting for him to finish his breakfast. He seems to take forever eating his milk and rabbit food!

The Missus had taken us out for our morning walk around The Fields and we were attacked by some nasty thing in a garden!

There we were, just off our lead , having a sniff at the end of the wall before it goes into the field, when, over the top of the wall, without any warning, and for no reason than to upset us, came a mountain of water!

Well, OK, it was a water sprinkler that some one had turned on on the garden behind the wall.

Any way, it came over the top of the wall and landed on me first, off I shot, down the path a bit where I turned around and woofed my disapproval at who or what ever it was!

Holly, bold as brass and reluctant to let go of a super sniff, just stood there and gave them a really good woofing off!

It's just not the done thing, especially as the Neddie's were watching and having a laugh at our expense!

A little later, after breakfast we were loaded into the car and off we went to the 'Poochy Parlour' as OTL has started calling it. Holly and I were not too pleased to be there 'cos we really don't like the washing and sloshing and the hair cut bit!

We went through hell! There was hair all over the place, Holly couldn't decide whether or not to have a Mohican or not, I had the same as last time.

Then there was our nails, I do like to have well trimmed claws and I must say I fussed around a bit on that.

When we were finished, we looked 'The Business' I mean, Seriously Good!

F1 and sunshine

Hi Woofers,

D&H here again.

Once again we were up good and early this morning, about four I think it was, we both wanted a wee, so we woke Old Two Legs up with a lick and a woof so he would let us out in the garden.

That done, we went back to bed again and no more woofing until eight when we decided it was time OTL got up. Well he has loads to do, cars to wash, doggies to walk and photos to take.

Talking of photos, we were going through some old photos yesterday and came across a picture of Holly when she a tiny puppy, it was when we were all still with Mum & Dad.

OTL is still coughing and sneezing and working his way through the paper tissues!

F1 racing was great, our lads started off well and we thought that there was going to be a one two finish but Lewis missed his chance but Jason stormed through to a well earned first place.

OTL is still suffering and we are missing out on our long runs in the afternoon. We have to go over the football field and chase  a ball about, Holly is not so keen on ball chasing but we did have some fun this afternoon.

OTL threw the ball and Holly and me chased after it, then we had a run around and waited for OTL to come and throw the ball again. As he got close, we picked up the ball and ran off with it, OTL followed us and as he got near again, we would run off again.

It was good fun and at least OTL got a little exercise!

We are off to bed early now 'cos we got to have our 'Shampoo & Set' as OTL calls it, first thing tomorrow morning. He has arranged it so that we are going to look our best when we hit the beaches next week!

Who knows, we may let OTL take a picture of us looking all super smart and smelling like the top doggies we are!

A day of plans and nothing!

Hello Woofers,

D&H back again!

We got up good and early this morning, woofed Old Two Legs awake and reminded him he had to wash the car and caravan ready for the holiday.

He said that he knew that and unfortunately he could not wash the car unless he can see it and at three thirty in the morning it was still too dark to see the sea gull droppings or the car!

So we let him go back to sleep again!

When he finally woke up again it was eight thirty, nearly midday!

Trouble was, he said he didn't feel too good, it seems he has got a cold, all snotty and headache. So that put paid to the car washing etc.

While OTL was sitting in his office feeling sorry for himself, Auntie Karen arrived with all her card stuff and we ran down to say 'hello'.

She had brought us a present of a chew each and some nibbles, we like Auntie Karen, even if she does keep cats!

We spent the day lounging about and woofing at the neighbours and the birds and Buster who lives next door with his owner.

Holly tried to find a good place to hide her chew, but I always found it!

She was not a happy puppy!

So, she sat down and had a really good chew of it until it was all wet and soggy at both ends, well, even I wouldn't chew on it if it was really soggy!

OTL sort of spent the day doing nothing except drinking tea and blowing his nose!

He has said that he will have a go at the car and caravan tomorrow if he feels better, which we hope he does 'cos we don't want to go away in a dirty car, even if it was us who made it muddy inside!

Friday with Old Two Legs

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back with you again.

Happy Birthday to Missy who is now old enough to know better, according to OTL!

We've had a fun day today, even if the sun has been hiding behind the clouds.

First of all, I jumped up onto OTL's desk and then got onto the window ledge.

I see a Holly Dog Down There!

The window was open and Holly was in the garden mooching about looking for any new sniff. I stuck my head our and did a little 'Woof', not too loud but enough so that she could hear me.

She looked behind her, then to the sides and could not see me, that puzzled our Holly, she sat down and began to slowly look all around the garden, expecting me to be hiding behind the bushes or behind the shed.

So I woofed again and did a little whine at the same time.

This time Holly got up and stared to wander around the garden, grumbling to herself, and getting more and more puzzled about why she couldn't see me!

OTL was laughing at us both and Holly heard that and looked up!

That was it, I was chased all over the house by Holly, looking to unscrew my tail!

Later, we went with OTL to post some bits and then to the bank. We sometimes go in the bank with him but as it was Friday we stayed in the car 'cos it might be too crowded with people.


After that, it was down to the New Park again, load of fun chasing the ball and going for a deep paddle. I was showing a Jack Russell where the deep bits were, Holly decided not to have a paddle but went running around with another  Jack Russell who wanted a game of 'chase'.
 

...and there's a deep bit over there!

Going back to the car is always good 'cos we have a game of 'chase' to help dry me off and of course, Holly and me get into a pretend tussle and OTL says it looks like we are dancing!

By the time we got back to the car I was all dry and my fur was fluffed up, so, no need for the heated seat!

When we got back The Missus gave us a chew each, I hid mine behind the shed and Holly had started to chew hers, then she fell asleep on top of it, so I sneaked over and pinched it!

I was feeling good about that when I realised that it was not hers, it was mine! The crafty puppy had dug mine up from behind the shed where I had buried it!

As soon as I find where she has hidden hers, I'm going to eat it all, in front of her!

So there!

I'm off to bed now as it's getting late. We have Auntie Karen (Cat Person) coming over tomorrow to play at card making (gassing) with TM, so Holly, OTL and me are off out to wash the car and caravan ready for the holiday!

A day with little activity

Hello All You Woofers,

Daisy & Holly back again with you!

What a super sunny day it has been here, we've been out in the garden  chasing each other around trying to grab each others tail, woofing at the Postman who was ringing the door bell, but Old Two Legs was in the shower and missed him all together!

That was a shame 'cos the postman was trying to deliver some special socks OTL had ordered up, especially to go walking in the Scottish hills and mountains.

So we had to visit the Post Office at lunch time just to pick up the parcel!

OTL has been working hard today, moving bits of paper around and rattling away on the computer keyboard, he says he's being a good OTL and getting all the paperwork out of the way before the holiday so he can go away and not worry.

Why bother? We don't worry about the paperwork and it has done us no harm!

We reckon it's more fun just laying in the garden catching up on our tans!

Holly reckons we will look 'The Business' when we get to the beach!

We have spent the day arguing about a couple of bones OTL gave us, they are filled in the middle with some super tasting stuff that Holly and me have been slowly digging out. Now, we want to take them indoors and enjoy a chew on the sofa, trouble is, TM has got other ideas!

So, we sneak them in, TM catches us and throws the bones out into the garden, we sneak them in again and TM finds them and out they go again!

This evening we managed to get OTL to allow us to bring them into the kitchen, but only as far as the door.

TM has warned him, if she see's the bones in the lounge, both he, us and the bones will be in the garden!

It just seems that we are having a never ending battle and it's great fun!

Bye for now, we're off to bed now, but we may sneak down during the night, just to have a lick of the bones!

I wonder if TM would like a lick of the bones about three in the morning?
