Winter? What Winter?

Hello Woofers!

It's Daisy & Holly here again!

What an evening we had, first of all The Missus was out for the evening giving a Master Class in rolling around with ink, she calls it Brayering.

We thought that was the noise that a Donkey made if you trod on its hoof!

While she was out, Old Two Legs had the TV to himself, so he watched a program all about Saxon Gold while Holly and I had a snooze.

I got a fit of the sneezes and Holly got all worried and thought I was being attacked or something, so to help get rid of the sneezes, she woofed and growled and attacked me! OTL sorted her out but she got all worried and didn't know what was happening!

All this goings on meant that we didn't get to bed until late, almost midnight, so guess what, yep, over sleep this morning! You know it was nearly ten before we stumbled out of the front door!

The Sea Wall was pretty clear of dogs and people, so we had the place to ourselves. Holly wanted to know what the bird was on the wooden post and why it didn't have a head!

I said it was the 'Headless Cormorant' who haunted the Sea Wall and likes to eat puppies!

Holly said I was talking through my tail, as normal, and I called her a 'Bimbo', and that's when the fight started!

We only stopped when a Little Egret flew overhead and heard OTL rattling off a few photos, the camera sounds a machine gun when he gets too excited!

OTL pointed out a container ship coming into the Sheerness Docks and he said that the small boat behind it was the Pilot Boat and The Pilot was the man who showed the ship how to get into the docks without bumping into anything!

Holly said it looked like a sea going sheep dog!

Talking of dogs, we were walking back towards the car when we saw a dog in the distance. Holly and I took up our 'Big Bold Doggy' stance and gave him he 'Hairy Eyeball'!

Holly said that it was a little dog so we could sort him out with no trouble but, as it got closer it got bigger and it got Bigger and then it got VERY BIG!

That was it, I was off and around the back of OTL while Holly stood there and just said 'Hello'!

Well, he don't look that big!

We went for our 'Late Afternoon Walk' over the New Park 'cos OTL had to take some stuff down to the carriers. By the time we got there it was dark, like black! So we had a chance to try our new flashing LED collars!

Did we look cool or wot! OTL has promised to have a go at taking some photos of us at night with them flashing!

After we got back home, there was Lambs Heart for dinner, my poor old tummy was just full to the brim!

It was as much as I could do to stay awake to mug OTL, but in the end I just had to give in and have an 'After Dinner Snooze'

So it's bye bye for now and we are with TM all day tomorrow as OTL is off out doing something or other where doggies aren't allowed!

Flying Worms!

Hi Ho Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here.

We've been out this morning to the Sea Wall again and woofed at the Rat Hole as we passed! The tide was in so we had a run along the shingle and woofed at the gulls, again!

There was just one fisherman on the Sea Wall and Old Two Legs took a picture of him throwing the worms into the water to teach them to swim. Trouble was, the worm fell off the fishing line and landed in the water just in front of him! Well, at least the worm didn't have far to swim to get back to shore!

Holly decided that the fisherman should go for a swim him self, so Holly woofed him as she walked past, the fisherman didn't take any notice at all, anti-social as Max would say!

Come lunch time, we told OTL that we wanted to go down there again, just to make sure the fisherman had not left any sandwiches on the beach but when we got there he had gone. The worm hunters were out with their bucket and fork, Holly reckons they may have pinched the sandwiches!

We had to go out with OTL to deliver some paperwork, so tagging along, as we do, we noticed we were very close to the Riverside Park, well, what a treat!

It was a little windy, but the sun stayed out and we had a good run around Horrid Hill, Holly saw off a young Spaniel doggy that was all full of fun.

I took the mickey out of a couple of hairless doggies and Holly just couldn't believe her eyes!

I mean, what sort of person designs dogs to have no hair! It must be freezing during the cold weather!

I don't believe it!

It was going to be one of those days 'cos further along we saw some people having a picnic, in the cold and there was someone taking photos!

OTL says it looked like some students doing a project. He knows this 'cos he had to do them when he went to college for the photography course.

We didn't ask him what he was taking photos of though!

The Missus is out tonight doing a 'Master Class' in rolling around in paint or ink, dunno why they call it a Master Class though, we can roll around in fox poo but all OTL calls us is Smelly Nellie's!

Rats R Them!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly on the march again!

We've been down to the Sea Wall twice today and on both occasions we investigated the hole near the beach and we reckon there is a nest of rats hiding there!

Rats, it's Rats, I'm sure it's Rats!

So, we woofed and we woofed and we said we'd dig them up if they didn't come out!  OTL came up behind us and said that we had to leave them alone or he'd put us down the hole with them, spoil sport!

We saw some gulls sitting on the wooden posts and OTL said it was a good job the tide was going out or they'd have been washed off. Just imagine what it will be like when the winter storms come good and proper, the waves will be over the posts and there will be nowhere for them to sit at all!

At the moment they are just playing King of the Castle!

This afternoon we went down to the New Park again and it was just getting dark when we got there. OTL took us for a brisk run around a route that included both a gravel path and the grass track as well.

We were amazed to see all these red blinking lights all over the place and OTL said that it was a super idea and we had some collars coming in the post that will flash as well!

Now this will be fun!

Will OTL have to wear one as well so we don't lose him in the dark?

He also said that if he can get The Missus to come out one night, he will take a picture of us and all you will see are the lights flying through the air. Now that will be something to see!

I was up with OTL in the office and Holly was having a snoozette on the sofa, so just to help move things along a bit, I climbed up to my 'Helpful Spot' and told OTL what to do, dead easy really, 'Turn it off, Now, Walkies!'

Blue Skys and Sunshine!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here.


It was a little chilly this morning as we went on our walk by the Sea Wall, but after a really good chase of the rabbits, there were loads of them, we soon warmed up and had some fun running on the shingle chasing the Wheatear and Pied Wagtail birds!

It was a naughty thing to do 'cos Old Two Legs was trying to take a picture of them at the time!

We must have had a bit of rough weather out to sea 'cos today there was loads of seaweed type stuff at the high water mark, it didn't smell all that interesting and was sort of light and wispy.

So OTL just had to take a picture!

Holly and me were running along the wall and diving off for a sniff in the grass. We didn't see OTL get ahead of us and hide down on the beach, so when we realised he was missing we rushed after him, only to see him pop up and run off a couple of shots, sneaky OTL!

We saw that Little Egret again and this time he was having lunch.

 There were the Fishermen out on the mud looking for their worms, but Holly found where they started from and asked why the footprints wobbled.

Maybe they have been at OTL's whisky or maybe it was the shortbread?

OTL had to go to the carriers, so that was a good excuse to go to the New Park.

We had a good run around and we saw a couple of dogs with flashing lights on their collars and OTL saw them as well and thought it would be a good idea for us to have them so the rabbits get a chance to see us in the dark!

Now that's just not fair!

It's Sunday so it's Anti Flea Day!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again!

Did we have some fun last night, we watched the Harry Potter DVD's and mugged OLD Two Legs for his shortbread then we brought the biscuit bowl onto the sofa and watched the films while having a nibble from the bowl.

Even Holly said she felt a little 'Blown Up'!

So it was a little later than normal that we went off to our beds and it was a little later this morning that we asked OTL to let us out for a wee. Of course, as soon as that was finished it was straight up to get the best spot on the bed before OTL got back into bed!

It was not long before we heard some one messing about with the front door, so we gave a little grumble, then a woof and after that, a 'Serious Woof', then it was 'WOOFIN CHARGE! as we flew down the stairs snarling and woofing, ready to defend our house from intruders. The door opened for us to see The Missus arriving back from baby sitting.

We gave her a big puppy 'Hello!' and a good 'Glad To See You' lick.

Then we rushed off to OTL for another snooze, before he got up and went for his shower!

Holly and me are glad we don't have to bathe as much as these Two Leg do but, I suppose it's because they get so smelly each day!

OTL took us to the Sea Wall for our morning walk and the tide was just going out, so there were loads of birds digging in the mud for their breakfast and we saw a fisherman going off with his fork and bucket to look for his worms as well!

Hey, this morning, the Advent Calender contained a bone biscuit, not very tasty but Holly and I had fun picking it up in our mouth and throwing it at each other, that was until OTL took it away!

It was then that he decided that we should have our monthly anti flea stuff. Now I know that I would not like to have fleas, what ever they are, but the stuff OTL puts on our back smells horrid! No wonder the fleas don't come near us!

OTL had a shock. TM walked into the office with her laptop and said that the screen had gone 'wobbly'!

Wobbly? She had mullered it! I think OTL said that the screen leaking like that was poison so we had better leave it alone.

That put TM in a mood, so, instead of going out for an adventure, we went off to the computer shop. OTL was not a happy puppy 'cos he fancied a run around the New Park and instead he got to run around the computer shop!

Best of all was when he came back, all sort of washed out and ashen looking, we told him we just had to go into the Doggy Shop!

We got some rawhide chews and a collar for Holly and some chicken fillets and some Jumbone chews and OTL got to pay!

So, no more runs out his afternoon 'cos OTL has been playing with the new computer getting email and Internet and networking TM's computer!

Poor Old Two Legs, he doesn't even have time to have a whisky and try to keep us away from the shortbread!

Never mind, at least we won't get any fleas!

Sleepy Saturday?

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here with you again!

Today we have been sort of seriously lazy. We over slept this morning, didn't get up until seven thirty! We wandered out to the garden, found it was raining and went back to bed!

A run around The Football Field a little later, with The Missus,  didn't really help to wake us up. I had a chase of the ball but had no real heart in it and Holly, she just sat down and watched the world go by!

Back home for a brush and a nibble of chicken was followed by a 'snoozette' with Old Two Legs in his office. Holly decided to stay downstairs and stretch out on the sofa and sleep under TM's jacket!

Do we have it made or wot!

Lunch time OTL took us to he Sea Wall but this time we didn't see anyone collecting sea weed, however, we did see three Ringed Plovers on the wave breakers, normally they are well out on the mud flats.

A bit further on we saw a Little Egret, pity it wasn't the Great White Egret, but you can't win them all!

Holly found a stick, so we played 'Grab' and first Holly had the stick, then I got it, then Holly and finally, we broke it and no one had it!

TM is out baby sitting tonight, so OTL is getting the whisky out and the shortbread! We're in for a good night tonight especially as we have got the last Harry Potter DVD so we're watching that as well, providing it's not too scary, 'cos OTL hides under the cushion when it gets too dark and scary and then we got to give him a cuddle and hold his paw!

It's Friday Already!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here again.

We woke up this morning to a chilly feel in the air, it was a lovely sunrise and a clear blue sky. A good reason to get back to a nice warm bed!

Old Two Legs took us down to the Sea Wall where we chased three rabbits across the grass and down the holes! It was good fun catching them above ground so early in he morning, we reckon they have been out partying the night away and were late in getting home!

We saw a Goldcrest in the tree twittering away, so OTL took this photo, not brilliant but OK, did you now that it is the smallest bird in Europe?

Holly took up here place on the Sea Wall and said she was keeping an eye out for Pirates, but she didn't see any, just a load of sea birds feeding on the mud! OTL took a picture using the Black & White setting in the camera but as Holly says, 'We're Black & White already!'

So, OTL got closer and took another, in colour, just when Holly was saying she looked good in this pose.

I said that it was a case of a Poser showing how big her 'Butt' is!

That's when the fight started!

It didn't last long 'cos we saw a Spaniel coming along the wall, so we stopped and had a real good look. OTL said we had a 'Twinkle' in our eyes!

Well, you've got to put up a good front when another dog comes along, you know, 'You mess with me and you mess with my sister as well!'

That normally sorts them out!

We also saw a man picking bits of sea weed off the breakwater. OTL was curious to know what he was doing. So, OTL being OTL asked him! It seems he is from the Natural History Museum and was doing a survey on what sort of sea weed was around the coast. Well, we could have told him that if he asked us in the first place!

This afternoon we went to see The Boys and Ethan & Finley and load of other people. Best of all we got to have some freshly cooked chicken!

And, we also managed to mug some tit bits from the table, sneaky or what!

Back home again and now we are going to have a 'before bed snoozette', just to wind down a little!

Wet, Wet, Wet!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here!

What a terrible wet day it has been today. It started off first thing this morning. Down we went with The Missus for our early morning wee in the garden and as soon as she opened the door I stuck my nose and two front paws outside.

Yuk!

It was raining, so, I stopped and was trying to decide if I wanted to go and further.

Walking behind me was Holly, still half asleep, her eyes closed and just following me. Trouble was, she didn't see me stop and she kept walking, well, ambling really!

She finally stopped when her nose met the bit of me where my tail joins my body! Hurumph! She went and barged past me grumbling. Some thing about stopping too quickly and having no brake lights if you please!

When she got outside she also suddenly stopped, went 'Hurumph!' again, turned around and came back into the kitchen.

We don't do rain!

Well, that was it, back to cuddle OTL and wait for the rain to stop! That was the idea until OTL called us for a walk and using the car, off we went to the Sea Wall!

The long and short of it all was, we got soaking wet, from the tip of our nose to the end of our tails! It was a good job OTL had one of our special doggy towels in the car, even so, we still needed a final rub down when we got back home. That was just before our Chicken and Biscuit Breakfast, followed by our normal 'After Breakfast Snoozette'!

Lunch time was fun, OTL tried to sneak out without telling us, just how silly can he be! We are Guard Dogs and that is guarding against anyone getting in AND anyone getting out without permission!

Off we went and landed in the New Park again, having a run around the back of the trees plus staying away from B B Badgers Hole!

We stopped by the Training Area and blew some raspberries at a couple of dogs who were being taught to 'Sit'. Holly can do a really big raspberry when she wants and she did one today!

Both of the dogs went potty and were woofing at us but as they couldn't get over the fence, we felt safe, so we blew some more raspberries.

Their owner came over and asked OTL if he would take us away 'cos we were upsetting their dogs!

OTL said they were a couple of big soppy dogs and we should leave them alone, so we trotted off, around the corner and from behind the bush we did our really BIG WOOF and blew some more raspberries, then ran away to OTL like we knew nothing of what just happened!

On our way back to the car, I didn't feel like running through the wet grass, so I stood on top of the stone circle while Holly and OTL went to open up the car.

OTL looked back at me and called me, then he whistled for me to come.

None of which I took any notice of at all!

So OTL had to walk back and sat down next to me and asked what I wanted?

I climbed onto his lap and said 'Carry Me' and he did, on his shoulder, all the way back to the car!

It's not often you get to see the New Park from that height, unless your OTL!

This evening we have got chicken again, so we're looking forward to that and maybe we will get to mug OTL for a bit of his dinner, if we're lucky!

Also, we get to open the first door of our Advent Calendar, it was a Chocy Doggy Biscuit!

December Tomorrow!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy & Holly back with you again!

It has been a warmish type of day today, we were out early with The Missus across The Fields and the weather seemed quite balmy!

Back for breakfast and a brush before our 'After Breakfast Snoozette', only problem was, Old Two Legs was bashing about all over the place.

He had some orders to get manufactured and was getting into a right state what with all the wire and stuff.

Then, having finished that he was crashing and bashing about in all the cupboards and drawers looking for his Remote Shutter Release!

It appears that he has lost this vital piece of equipment and can't take pictures of fungi and insects and other beautiful stuff, like us!

So, poor old thing will have to buy another one!

We went with OTL to the carriers and afterwards guided him to the New Park. We went on a long route march all over the park, keeping off the made up paths and sticking to the grass paths amongst the trees and bushes.

At one spot we saw a big cave where OTL said that a 'Big Bad Badger' lived and at night he would come out and chase the horses in the fields!

 OTL said he liked the plant life and the way the sun shone on the young trees, so he took another picture!

OTL took some pictures and even found a couple of mangy looking fungi that were past their 'sell by' date!

 So he didn't take their picture!

Instead of going around in a big loop as we normally do, OTL crossed the 'Green Lane' and we we crossed the field and suddenly we were in The Forest!

What! This is a seriously long walk! I did notice that OTL was looking around the sites he was photographing fungi, but he didn't find his gizmo thingy.

We went by the 'Dog Training Area' and OTL said that as it wasn't being used, we could go in and he would teach us how to behave.

Well, we couldn't stop laughing, us, doing all that Stand, Sit, Come By, Away, and best of all 'Stay'!

We told OTL what he could do with all that rubbish!

Don't make us laugh, it hurts so much!

By the time we got back to the car we were worn out little puppies and you could tell that 'cos we slept all the way back home!

Tonight's dinner was Chicken, but we did notice that OTL has got one of TM's home made curries. OTL loves them and we get to have a small bit of Nan Bread dipped into the curry juice, just as a treat, mmmm! Super!

Hey, Tomorrow is December, so that means it is not long until Christmas and you know what that means?

Yes! A whooping great big Turkey and loads of turkey dinners for us! Holly says that we will also get other special stuff like Christmas Pud and Rawhide Chews and Doggy Treats and stuff like that.

Now TM has made us an Advent Calender and behind every door is a treat! We sneaked a sniff the other night when they were asleep and worked out that there is a small biscuit behind every door. Not the most exciting thing to offer a cute puppy like wot we are, but it's better than nothing!

At least we got an Advent Calender!

See you tomorrow, we're off to mug some shortbread from OTL!

We're in Trouble Again!

Daisy & Holly back again!

While we think of it, Max, pay attention, your paws are for digging holes, the other end is for attaching your tail to!

Not so cold this morning but it has been raining over night. We found out when I fancied a wee, around one thirty this morning. I jumped up and woofed at The Missus with our 'I Wanna Wee' woof.

Good old TM, she gets up and staggers down stairs, all grumbly and mumbling under her breath, then she opened the back door for me.

Hey! What? Shock, Horror!       It's raining!

Well if the sky is having a wee on the garden then I'm not going out!

Holly just barges past and has a wee on the grass, no shame that dog!

I turn around and go back to bed, I'll hang on 'till the morning thanks!

TM goes back to bed, all grumbly, that means we're in trouble again!

Old Two Legs slept all the way through it all!

After our 'early morning run' over The Fields we got back to a Lambs Heart Breakfast and Biscuits, one of our most favourite breakfasts!

Lunch time we got OTL to take us to the New Park and boy was it windy! It blew our ears inside out and our fur was pointing the wrong way!

We were not allowed to go for a paddle in the swimming hole 'cos there were some big Labrador dogs splashing about and we didn't have our ball with us either, so we stayed good and dry!

We said 'Hello' to The Watchers and an old Alsatian who was passing by, but most of all we just tried beating each other up!



When we got home, Holly decided to wrap up in TM jumper thingy which was good and warm and smelt sort of comforting!

OTL was busy for the rest of the afternoon, so we enjoyed some TV and a gentle snooze!

Dinner is almost ready, Chicken & Biscuits by the smell of it, followed by a bit of shortbread mugged from OTL!
