Technical Saturday for OTL!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here to see you again!

We've been very busy today. First of all we woke Old Two Legs up at six this morning and we asked if he was going back to work on his new printer before taking us out? He said, No, and went back to sleep for an hour! Well, we did ask him, 'cos we know how he wants to get it going properly!

'Walkies' he shouted and off we went down to our favourite morning walk, rabbits were out and we had fun chasing them down their holes. Well, we stood outside and woofed at them! It's a new game we are playing, you see, we used to go tearing around the brambles and get confused with all the rabbits running in different directions. Now, we sneak quietly behind the tree, see where the rabbits are, then CHARGE!

I Spy Rabbit!
Holly and I tried this out with an old crow that we often meet sitting on the railings!

Clear off Puppies!
This time he flew down to the waters edge and picked up a shell and was trying to open it and eat the inside, yucky or wot!

We spotted a ship moored off the mouth of the River Medway, OTL says it was there so it can have a rest before loading up on Monday morning!

Having a rest!
We got back home and had our brush, breakfast and this time OTL put on our anti flea stuff. Smells horrid but we haven't seen a flea yet, ticks by the ton but no fleas!

OTL spent all morning setting up, testing, then muttering curses when the printer didn't produce the quality of print he wanted!

Come lunch time he was getting all frustrated and cross with everyone!

So, we took him out for another walk along the sea front. It was a little blowy but not too cold, in fact, OTL has just replaced the battery in his portable anemometer, the one he used when climbing Scottish mountains, Munro's the call them and he always wants to know when it was cold enough to get dangerous! What he would do about it, half way up the mountain, I don't know, but this thing will give him the air temperature and also the wind chill temperature!

While we were out we met up with a new dog that was woofing more that Holly when she gets excited!

Noisy little Woofer!
He came running up, woofing his head off, ran away then came back for more woofing! This carried on for a while, then his owner started calling him but all he wanted to do was woof at us. In the end the owner had to come back and put him on a lead, that will teach him!

We know he was young but it is a good lesson to learn, when to woof and when not to woof!

Back home again and OTL went back to his new printer, trying different settings. You see, the picture you see on the computer screen and it's colours are not what comes out of the printer. OTL has calibrated the computer screen so he knows that is 'standard' but the printer is getting confused with the messages it getting from the computer and of course, the colours are all wobbly!

Still, it keeps OTL quiet and we knows he really enjoys the challenge!

Tomorrow, maybe The Forest if it's not raining, we may get to chase a squirrel if they are up!

See you tomorrow!

Daisy & Holly

Working hard watching OTL working hard!

Yo Ho Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again.

Today has been all sort of mixed up and frantic! It started this morning, about three thirty, Holly or maybe it was me, heard something making a noise, not sure what it was but it was outside. So, being good Guard Dogs, we let the maker of the noise know we were here and they or what it was, should clear off, fast!

Being a guard dog is full of danger you know, as soon as we start woofing, The Missus starts woofing, at us, then Old Two Legs wakes up and woofs at everyone!

Then TM can't get back to sleep and starts to toss and turn in the bed, waking OTL up again, he growls at every one and TM gets up and goes down stairs to make a card or two until it's time to wake OTL up. Trouble is, OTL is woken up by the lights going on and TM moving all the card making stuff around. You know, table and chair, then the fresh coffee and the biscuit tin, then the computer starts up with that Bing Bong sound. All in all, no one gets any more sleep, except us, who can sleep even when TM is making cards!

So, with OTL up early, we get an early walk!

This time we didn't get wet 'cos the rain had gone and the sun had come out and it was great running along the beach and the grass path.

We came across a big scary monster sitting on top of bush thing. We gave it a good woofing especially when it made a noise and shook it's self when the wind blew. OTL was laughing and called us a pair of 'Potty Puppy's'

The Bag Monster!
Well, it could have been dangerous and Holly agrees with me!

OTL played for a while trying to catch a wave breaking on the sea wall, he said he was practising for when we get a real big storm and the waves are huge. Well if the waves get huge, he do the morning walk on his own, Holly and I will just make do with the garden and go back to bed!

A Monster Wave in the Making!
We got back home and after breakfast, we were enjoying a well earned snooze, when we heard the front door bell ring, it was Auntie Sheila come to slap the old glue pot around and throw the glitter  about!

She got a big 'Hello' from both of us and a lick on the nose as well!

OTL got his new printer delivered today, so he has been bashing and crashing around in the office trying to make room for it. We have been watching him drilling and wiring and sticking new brackets on the wall and getting in a right state! So after lunch we decided it was time for him to have a break and take us to the New Park again!

It was fun as normal, loads of sniffs, a few new tails to sniff and Holly met a new friend that she thought looked wonderful, she said he was sophisticated and looked very fit. I thought he was a show off and soon ran circles around him when he tried to chase us!

Hello Handsome!
We came across a young Jack Russell type who was hiding in the ditch 'cos he was not too sure how friendly we were! Holly soon put him straight and pretty soon he was running about having a great  game of 'Chase' with us, that was until his owner called him away!

Hello Micky
Towards the end of the walk we bumped into another pair of Jack Russell types and we had a game of 'Chase' with them as well. Well, there was no way they could keep up with me, my 'Fast Turn' trick had them totally lost and falling over their own tails!

Can't catch me!
If OTL has finished his office, we hope to go out tomorrow on an adventure, providing it's not raining of course.

We are off now to mug OTL for a bit of Nan bread and a wipe of his curry sauce, then it's chicken and biscuits for dinner!

See you tomorrow!

Daisy & Holly

Windy old weather, Stormy old weather!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly just blown in!

Wow! It has been a stormy old day today, first of all, The Missus took us for a walk across the Fields and when we got to the highest bit the wind blew like mad and there was rain and SNOW!

Like, this is North Kent, the sunny bit of the UK, we shouldn't get snow!

When we got back Old Two Legs had to give us a good rub down with the towel and then it was back to the bed for a warm up and a snooze!

Lunch time was no better, this time we went down to the Riverside Park.

Wind? It was more of a gale when we got to the exposed parts, OTL could hardly walk he was being blown about so much!

We were lucky, you see we are close to the ground and the wind sort of misses us most of the time!

The only problem we have is that the sniffs blown on thewind come in at such a speed that before we register the sniff and it's meaning, three more have formed a queue behind it and are pushing it out of the way!

'ere, what was that Sniff?
We went around the other side of the trees and the wind had dropped right the way down, so Holly decided to play 'Queen of the Castle' and told us we were all her subjects and we had to do everything she said.

I'm Queen of the Castle!
I told her that I had declaired the Riverside Park a Republic and as soon as I find a big axe I would chop off her head!

She said that I was behaving like a little dictator and anyway, she didn't talk to little squirts like me.

And that's when the fight started!

It didn't last long 'cos OTL threatened to put us to bed early with no dinner.

He can be so strict sometimes!

OTL was really more interested in his camera and the sun beams coming down from the clouds.

Sun Beams
Holly said that if he keeps on like this he will end up as a little Sun Beam himself! I thought that was funny and we looked around to see if he had heard Holly say it, luckly he had not!

Back home we said 'Hello' to TM and retired to the office for a snooze before dinner. Lambs Heart and biscuits, one of our favourites!

Not sure what's planned for tomorrow, maybe a run down the Farm again, if it's not too windy, we don't want any trees falling on us!

Oops! Nearly forgot, Max Matey, new Two Legs make a loads of noise and smell funny and according to Holly, taste nothing like chicken!

Stay away from the paper pants, one sniff and your eyes will water all day long!

Do youself a favour, stick to looking cute and stick your tounge out at the same time, you'll get more treats that way!

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly (Still Queen)

Back down the New Park today!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again.

Today has been much better, just a little rain and loads of puddles! So if we didn't get wet in the rain, then the grass managed to wash our tummies as we were chasing things!

We were out first thing with Old Two Legs and as normal, he was waving his camera around trying to look as though he knows what he is doing! We spotted a picture that looked like fun, so we told him to take the picture and just where to stand when he took it. Have a look and tell us what you can see!

Sneaky or Wot!
Yes, you guessed! It's a Power Station hiding in the back garden!

Holly thought that was great fun and kept on making jokes about it all morning!

That was not the only thing we did on our walk. You know how interested Holly is in all the bird life in our area, well, she spotted some ducks and stuff that had been hanging about for a few days. So she ticked them off in her 'I-Spy Bird Book'.

She told me she had seen a Canada Goose like the one that Michael had seen in his pond and she got OTL to take a picture so we can compare our one with his blog!

Holly's Canada Goose that will taste like Chicken!
In the afternoon, we went out with OTL and ended up at the New Park, which was great 'cos we haven't been there for ages. There were loads of new sniffs and a few new doggy sniffs, so we reckon Santa must have brought a few with him at Christmas!

Look, here's another sniff!
It was good chasing about and we played a joke on OTL. When we got near to the swimming hole, Holly said I should pretend I was going in for a swim! So, when we got there, I jumped up onto the rocks and made like I was going to do my 'Super Flying Dive'.

OTL went potty! Jumping up and down, steam coming out of his ears, shouting NO! NO!

I mean, just how crazy does he think we are? Who on earth would want a swim in this weather!

Can I go Swimming?

We said Happy New Year to a few of the lads we had met before and a few that were new to us.

Happy New Year!
Then we said Happy New Year to The Watchers, 'cos they are in charge and you got to be respectful and especially not have a pee up their legs!

Happy New Year Mr & Mrs Watcher!
We met up with Sparky and had a terrific game of 'Chase', there was no way he could keep up with me and my cornering left him all sort of lost and nowhere to go!

Can't Catch Me!
By the time we got back to the car Holly and I were two tired little puppy's and we slept most of the way home!

Me looking the 'Super Puppy' of the day!
We had liver this evening and of course, we managed to mug OTL for a nibble of his diner as well!

So, we are off for a snooze before going to bed, after OTL hands over a nibble of shortbread!

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Wot a Horrid Day Today!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back with you again!

We got up good and early this morning and it was because the wind was blowing the trees about!

The Missus was out baby sitting, so we went out with Old Two Legs for a run on the Sea Wall. We jumped from the car, as we normally do, only to get blown back again! So, OTL opened the other door and we jumped out and carefully moved around the side of the car, out of the way of the wind.

Now, it wasn't really raining but there was a lot of spray being blown about, so it felt like hard rain drops hitting us!

Not nice!

OTL shut the doors before we could change our mind and get back in the car and off we went for a run. It took just a couple of minutes for us to decide that out in the wind was where we did not want to be!

I'd rather be back home!
A quick word with OTL and it was not too long before we were back in the car having a rub down with the towel!

OTL had a load of stuff to do and we went with him to deliver and pick up things.
We had another run out around midday but the wind was still strong but the rain had stopped.

Back home we had another rub down and retired to the office for a snooze after we had finished off our Lambs Heart breakfast.

We will be glad when this day is over, we don't mind fresh air or a gentle breeze but a howling gale is the best reason for staying indoors and playing 'Chase' around the house!

Let's hope that tomorrow is a little better!

We've just seen TM putting a pack of shortbread into the kitchen cupboard, so we might be in luck tonight!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Another Days Holiday!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here!

We had some fun last night, around three thirty we jumped up onto Old Two Legs bed and gave him a 'Wake Up' lick, then jumped off the bed. He knows what that is, it's the 'We Wanna Wee' signal. We know it is a waste of time doing it to The Missus 'cos by the time she has woken up and got down stairs, we might have had an accident!

Poor OTL, he gets all the good jobs! Still we let him sleep in until nine before he got the old 'Cold nose and Wet Lick' treatment again!

He didn't even have time for his breakfast before taking us out!

First of all Holly tried flying again. I am sure she must know by now that she has just got to loose a few kilos before she can get airborne!

Nose Wheels Up!
We had a good run down the Sea Wall and Holly was getting a bit ratty about not flying. In fact, she even stopped at a Two Legs who she thought was laughing at her and gave her the old 'Hairy Eyeball'!

You Looking At Me?
Just to make her feel better I suggested we go hunting sniffs on the beach, which was OK to begin with. Then we got into a bit of shoulder shoving at a particularly interesting sniff.

Shove Off, This is My Sniff!
Well, after that first shove, it was only a few seconds before another fight started!

Another Fight!
OTL told us off for fighting and threatened to put us on the lead if we didn't behave, fat chance, he has got to catch us first!

But we did go and have a sniff around the grass bank and even stopped to let OTL explain all about modern Cave Art and to prove a point he took this picture that not only shows the 'Cave Art' but also a bit of a Power Station!

Modern Cave Art!
Really, we thought it was a bit boring, but we have got to keep him happy and look like we're interested!

Then along the beach a bit further we came to the Power Station Outflow, now, the only way I can describe it is like this. You see, the power station is doing loads of work making electricity and getting all hot while it's doing it and so, it needs a drink of water to help cool it down a bit. So, if it is like us, when we get hot, we get thirsty and have a drink of water. After the water has cooled us down, we have a wee to get rid of the water. Simple really, even a dog can understand that!

Power Station Wee!
Now, you didn't expect that did you!

OTL spotted a Black Headed Gull standing in the water looking at it's own reflection. OTL said that some birds do that and think they have a friend to talk to when all their mates have left them. We think that OTL has been getting some strange ideas of late, maybye he has been having too much whisky, or not enough!

Mirror Mirror on the Beach, who is the Prettiest Gull of All?
Holly and me reckon we are surounded with weirdo's and we are the only sensible puppies we know, except OTL, but we are not always sure about him!

Bye bye for now,

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

2012 with a Thud & a Dribble!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy And Holly here with you again.

First of all a big Happy New Year to everyone, but not so loud! You see we were up late last night, singing and dancing and having loads of nibbles and playing games of chase and Woof at the Fireworks!

So, this morning we didn't get up until nearly nine fifteen!

Both Holly and me had funny tummies and Old Two Legs looked a little out of salts as well! The Missus, who had been on the Champagne all evening looked like she was going to have a quiet day!

We finally got our morning stroll at about ten, so, the sun had got up and was tearing across the sky before we got to the Sea Wall, so no moody sunrise photos!

Too late for the Sunrise!
We did meet up with Billy and when he saw OTL had a camera, did his 'Funny Pose', which made us laugh!

Say Cheeese!
Back home it was chicken for breakfast followed by a snooze on the sofa while OTL was messing about with the computer.

A Big Hello to Max, we thought you has got lost! Have you got rid of that virus thingy in the computer? Nasty things they are, OTL is always looking for them!

We went out this afternoon for a walk, as you do, but we thought it was a bit strange that OTL got our snow coats out.

Snow Coats?

Snow?

No, it was rain, too much to be going out without a coat on!

Mind you, when we got out there on the Sea Wall, it seemed to be raining more than when we left home!

Holly was not too pleased with walking in the rain and kept complaining about going back. OTL was not listening and took us on the 'Full Walk' as normal, he said he needed the exercise as much as we do, in fact more!

Holly was still bitching even when we had turned around and was heading back to the car, she said that the rain was dribbling down the back of her neck!

I made sure I was warm on the way back, I sat on OTL's lap and made sure my bottom was warm and dry!

Back indoors it was a good towel down and a snooze on the sofa again until diner time!

What a way to end the holidays!

Back to work tomorrow, well, for OTL anyway!

Look on the bright side there is only three hundred and fifty five shopping days until next Christmas!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly (All warm and dry and with full tummies!)

The Last Day!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here!

Did you know that today is the last day of the year? Now, does that mean that tomorrow we will all be one year older?

It sounds a bit 'Technical' as Old Two Legs would say. As long as we get our walks and meals we will leave that all to you lot!

Holly is still trying to get up into the air. This morning she ran all along the wall and kept jumping into the air but failed to take off!

That was until she fell off the wall, onto the beach. I suppose that was technically flying, but I didn't tell her that!

Getting up to Take Off Speed!
One day she will take off, but will she be able to land properly?

She soon forgot the flying lessons when we met up with Elmo again, he's the same age as us and enjoys a good run around and we had a good chase up and down the path.

Yo Elmo!
We showed him the new rabbit holes we had found and also a couple of rat holes!

On our way back we met up with a poodle called Mac, he had a thing about hats, according to his owners but we told him that OTL's hat was really part of his head and not to be worried!

That seemed to work and he ended up giving OTL a lick on the nose!

Is that a Hat?
Tonight, OTL is going to have a drink of his whisky to 'see the Old Year Out', I reckon that he will have some more just to see the New Year In!

We're going to help him with the shortbread!

So, we will be late going to bed and I think we will all be getting up a bit later tomorrow morning!

So bye bye for now and from Holly and Me,

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Fox Holes and a Flying Holly!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here again!

It's been a bit gloomy today, the weather has even turned a little colder than yesterday. That doesn't worry us in the slightest, a good run along the Sea Wall and we are warmed up and ready to go!

Toad Hall from Grain Sea Wall
Old Two Legs pointed out that a building over in Sheerness Docks was called Toad Hall, we thought that was a funny name for a building.

We were snuffling along the path when we heard a woofing from up on the hill. So, Holly and I stood there looking for the woofer, it wasn't long before this long  haired Labrador walked past us without even a look. Not very polite!

So, who is the new Woofer?
I didn't think that was the right thing to do, so, I rushed up to the top of the hill and woofed at the doggy, nothing! Didn't even turn around to see who woofed!

That's it, I will mark that dog in the 'Rude Book' and it will take some good manners to get out of there!

Holly decided she was going to have a go at flying, just like me. So, she ran at full speed down the hill and jumped. It was no good, she just couldn't get into the air. She did however have some fun when Barney came bounding down the hill and said he wanted a game of 'chase'. Holly did her side step trick and poor old Barney got all out of shape again!

Barney getting out of shape again!
Back home we had some more chicken and biscuits followed by a snooze. OTL went back to working on the computer and we went back to sleep.!

That was until my body clock woke me up saying 'Time for Walkies'!

It didn't take too long to get OTL dressed up in his coat and his boots on, off we went, woofing all the way to the car. Next stop The Farm!

Holly and her Fox Holes.
Before long we were charging around the woods looking for squirrels or rabbits or even badgers!

Holly found these two holes next to each other and said that it must be a semi detached fox hole!

We had a good sniff around but there was no sign of a fox.

I went off hunting on my own and found my own fox hole that smelt like it was in use, so, I woofed a few times but the fox stayed in bed!

I smell Foxy!
It was great fun in the woods, so many sniffs! OTL found his mystery plant again but this time he found a big one next to it, but although it had seeds and flowers on it, he still doesn't know what it is!

We will have to wait until the spring to see what happens!

But What is it?
Holly spotted some trees that had been cut down and guess what we saw in one of the logs?

It's Alfie the Elf!
You just never know what you will find in these woods!

Back home for dinner and a cuddle with OTL and the last of his shortbread!

Bye bye for now and see you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Snoozy and Another Fight!

Yo Ho Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here again and getting into trouble, as normal!

We were woken up by Old Two Legs snoring this morning, at first we thought it was a monster trying to tear the house down. The room shook, the windows rattled and our water bowl vibrated so much, half the water sloshed over the floor!

We managed to stop him, a cold wet nose in the ear always does the trick!

As we went out this morning in the car, we saw a Pussy Cat crossing the road, well, OTL had never heard such a Woofing and Grumbling from inside the car, we were on top volume and running from front to back of the car as well!

Great Fun!

When we got to the Sea Wall we found the tide was out, so, that means the Wormy Men are out.

So we woofed a 'Hello' but as normal they just kept on digging!

There goes The Wormy Man!
We did get to go a bit further along the Sea Wall today, so that meant new sniffs and new things to see.

Holly found the power station water outlet and woofed at some birds behind the railings. Just as OTL was trying to take a photo of them!
No Rabbits, just Birds!
Mind you, we did find some new Rabbit Holes and spent some time investigating them for future use! You know, what is the best way to sneak up on them and where can we hide before jumping out and woofing BOO!

New Rabbit Holes!
Now it's OK sorting out the Rabbit Holes and doing all this planning, but, when you are deep in 'Planning Mode' and checking out the normal way the rabbit hole is placed against the hill, the last thing you want is your sister coming along and poking her nose in!

She just would not leave the hole alone, sticking her nose where it was not wanted, taking over the planning and even having a wee close to the hole so she could claim it was hers! Well, I wasn't having any of that and told her just where she could get off! With that she got all possessive and said that the hole was hers 'cos she saw it on the way down there and had marked it beforehand. I got all upset and called her a Hole Snaffler, she accused me of being Domineering and a Proper Madam''

As you might have guessed by now.

That's when The Fight started!

It took OTL to come between us and warned that we would get no more nibbles if we carried on fighting. So we just walked together back to the car, shoving each other every so often when OTL wasn't looking!

It's fun being a Puppy!

When we got home we were both tired puppies and crashed out for most of the afternoon cuddling our rawhide chew.

That was until diner time, chicken and biscuits and some of OTL's beef burger!

Bye for now and see you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly
