OTL keeps Disapearing!

Hello Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy & Holly back to see you.

Last night after up loading the blog, Old Two Legs an The Missus started putting on their outside coats and TM was putting lipstick on as well. A sure sign they were going out! So, Holly and I started to try and guess where we were all going. That was right up to the point where OTL waved his hand and said 'Bye, Bye' and then told us he wouldn't be too long!

That's it, we were going to be left on our own with nothing to do but chew carrots on the lounge floor and sleep on the sofa where OTL had left his big warm coat!

Holly and I started off with a good game of chase all around the house. Then we went and got our rawhide chews and brought them down stairs. Now, we normally get in trouble if we do that 'cos they leave a white sticky mess on the carpet. After a short time we took them back up to OTL's office  'cos we didn't want to get in trouble when they come back!

Auntie Sheila came in around nine and let us out for a wee in the garden, which was very kind of her and to show how thankful we were we gave her a 'Big Hello' lick!!

Needless to say, when OTL & TM finally get back from visiting their friends, we gave them a lick as well, before going to bed.

This morning it was frosty when we went out, deep frost that made you very careful when you go for a wee. We don't throw our leg up in the air like wot Max does, we squat down and if you go too far, that frosty grass can be a bit chilly on your bits!

Watch yer bits Sis!

On the way back we played a game with OTL, we reckoned that if we put our shadows together, we could be as long as OTL's shadow but somehow it didn't work out!

He is still longer than us!
When we got home OTL gave us a brush and we had lambs heart for breakfast. When we finished, Auntie Karen & Uncle Ian came knocking on our door, well, we gave them a good 'Hello Lick' and Karen started unloading loads of glue pots and bags of glitter, we know what she had in mind for today!

Before we knew it, OTL and Ian had sneaked out of the house and were off to do some bird watching, without us!

That was not fair, I mean, we can be good girls and watch birds without making too much noise!

We spent the day dodging glue and glitter lumps flying about, but we did get a run around the Fields at lunch time and Holly reckons she found a sniff worth rolling in, that was until TM started to shout at her , so she had to leave it alone. She did make a note of where it was so next time.......!

OTL came back and said that the birds were all tucked up in bed keeping warm, he saw some of the Ducky things like Coot and Moor Hen and Shoveller and he took a picture of a Tufted Duck with its yellow eye!

Oo! You taking my photo?
As normal, the Coots were all fighting and chasing each other around the pond! OTL saw a Marsh Harrier, but it was a long way away across the other side of the pond and kept looking the other way!

Marsh Harrier having a rest.
OTL reckons the best bird he saw today was the Great White Egret, but it was so far away that he had to get Ian to use his telescope to find it first of all!

Can you see it?
When they both got back, OTL said that we wouldn't have enjoyed it down there as it was too cold, even in the hides! So, maybe it was a good idea that we got left in the warm with TM and the Cat Woman!

Not sure what is planned for tomorrow but we did hear OTL & TM talking about The Boys coming over for 'Christmas Lunch'? Now, come on, even we know it's January and Christmas in in December! If they do come over we can have a good game and maybe go out down the New Park for a run, that would be fun!

I'll let you know what happens!

Bye bye for now, see you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Rush around Friday

Hi Woofers!

D&H back with you on a sunny Friday.

Old Two Legs has been rushing around today trying to get loads done and ending up getting nowhere, as usual!

We saw a crow eating shell fish today and Holly tried to get a good look at what it was eating, but every time she got close, the dopey bird flew off!

'ear! Got any chicken?

I stayed well away, 'cos I know that if you start to run where it is all green and slimy you will only fall over and end up with a smelly rump!

Then OTL tells you off and you get all your parts washed when we get home!

We had a good run down The Farm this afternoon, loads of Badger Hunting and Squirrel Chasing, except that we didn't see any squirrels or badgers, but we pretended we did!

Holly found a hole and kept woofing down it, I think she was trying to wake up whatever it was that was sleeping down there!

Yo! Wake up you Dopey Badger!
Needless to say, nothing happened!

OTL has been having a bash with his printer this afternoon, so we didn't get our walk until late and we had to put on our flashing collars.

Didn't we look the business!

Flash or wot!

Off for some lambs heart for dinner, so, must rush!

See you tomorrow, have a good weekend!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Thor's Day with a Snooze!

Hi Ho Woofers!

D&H back again!

What a wonderful sunrise this morning! It was super deep red and yellows. We woofed and woke Old Two Legs up thinking he might like to take a photo of it, but all he did was to take us down to the garden and let us out for a wee!

Mind you, that early in the morning we don't think he can tell if there is a red sun rise or he is still looking through his eye lids!

Poor OTL just doesn't do early mornings!

By the time we got down to the Sea Wall the red had all gone, leaving a sort of golden glow.

Which was OK by us and it didn't hurt OTL's eyes!

A Gentle sunrise!

As we came back we saw some people on the beach taking photos and using a big reflector. Holly thought it was a wind break 'cos the model was in swimming trunks but OTL put her straight on that one being that he's 'Technical' on photographing and anyway, he has one of them reflector things as well!

Smile and say Cheese!
OTL wanted to go down and ask them what they were doing but we were pulling on the lead so hard to get back for breakfast that he didn't get a chance!

You know he showed off all the way home!

The Missus has been playing at crafting today, she showed OTL a label thingy that she made from the aluminium tape he sells. She stuck it on a bit of card, then squeezed it through her die machine, then  sloshed some inks over it and dried it with her flame throwing heat gun. (Dangerous thing that!)

Then she rubbed it down with some sort of sand paper. When she showed it to OTL she said it was called a 'Distressed Finish' OTL asked why it was that when he looked 'Distressed' TM just called him an 'Untidy Slob'!

OTL just can't win!

We both had a good snooze this morning, really relaxing snooze in our day beds, that was until OTL decided we both had 'Mucky Chops'!

Where we enjoy a good chew of the Rawhide Chew, the rawhide gives off a super slimy sauce that tastes wonderful. The only problem is, it is like glue, great when it is fluid but dries solid and gums up our whiskers!

OTL has been promising to wash our faces for some time and today is the day! I spent about half an hour, sitting on OTL's lap having my face washed with warm water and doggy shampoo, YUK!

In the end we didn't get it all out, but worst of all, Holly escaped the washing bit, OTL was too tired to do her!

Lunch time came and we went out to check on the fishermen, Holly said they had chicken sandwiches in their bags and was going to have a closer sniff when one of them shouted at her to 'Clear Orf'!

OTL laughed at that.

Got any Sarnies?

There were a few down there on the wall so we moved inland a bit.

No Sarnies here either!
We met up with a young doggy who had only just started to live with her owners, so was getting used to all the new sniffs and meeting loads of new dogs as well!

Thanks for the Sniffs Girls!
So we said 'Hello' and told her of a few really good sniffs on the path, then we had a little game of chase before heading for home.

The afternoon was spent having another well earned snooze and we even managed to get OTL to take us out for a run in the park when he took a parcel down to the Post Office!

So this evening we are going to spend having a snooze in front of the TV, well, OTL & TM do that every evening, so why not us?

But not until the shortbread gets nibbled!

This has been a good Thor's Day for us!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

How to get on OTL's nerves in one easy lesson!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back with you.

Today has been a funny sort of day, Old Two Legs was up early to take us out. He was trying to catch the sun rise but never got around to the Sea Wall in time. Still, it was nice and bright for our rabbit chasing!

First of all we sneaked around the brambles and hid behind the tree, keeping a lookout for any rabbits on the surface.
Is that one over there?
We saw just one and by the time we got to him, he had gone! Sneaky or wot!

OTL was trying to get a photo of the water splashing up the Sea Wall but the waves were not high enough, so they sort of just sloshed around on the beach. Not very exciting!

Just Sloshing Around!

We didn't see any other dogs while we were out but that is not unusual, especially at that time of the day.

We did see some Brent Geese running up and down the mud, chasing each other and making a terrible noise. A bit like The Missus does when she is laughing at the television when we are all up in the office!

Brent Geese on a Mission!
It was funny watching them run backwards and forwards and at one time I'm sure they were going to try and mug the Wormy Man for his bucket of worms!

Let's chase the Wormy Man!
They gave up the chase after a few feet 'cos the one at the back found his own stash of worms and made the mistake of telling the others!

So, the Wormy man got away, this time!

Wormy Man escapes a mugging!
This afternoon, TM went of Baby Sitting so we spent most of our time looking out the window waiting for TM to come back. OTL was working away, so he was no fun, I tried a couple of times to get him to come out and play ball in the garden but to telephone rang and that was it!

It was good when TM came back, we both gave her a big welcome home and we enjoyed the liver diner she had cooked for us.

So now all we got to do is mug OTL for a bit of shortbread and then off to bed!

See you tomorrow!

Sharp Needles R Not Nice!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy & Holly here with you again!

Well, we went out good and early with Old Two Legs this morning and did our normal run around and woof at the Gulls, but when we had finished, it was down to the vet for our injections!

Now we are not wimps but it seems that every time we go in that place, OTL cries and we get hurt!

This time was no different, poor OTL was beside himself when he got the bill, even threatening to put us on eBay to help get his money back!

We got the complete check over but this time they didn't stick the thermometer up our bottoms! It was a case of feel this, prod that, squeeze the other and look into my eyes!

Then they came in with this enormous syringe and a needle that looked as big as a lamp post, told OTL to hold us but look away (he can't stand us being hurt).

I was OK but Holly started to bleed a little from the injection, you see she didn't keep her paw on the plaster, so, after a wash down she was OK and we were both desperate to get out of the place!

As a present for being so brave, OTL and The Missus took us down to the New Park, super ball chasing fun and we even waved hello to the Not Not Neddies. Not that they waved back!

We chased around hunting the ball, then Holly said that as I was the faster runner, I should let her run after the ball first. Well, I said that if she wasn't so fat and loopy she would be a bit faster on her paws and that would teach her for being such a pig at the feeding bowls!

Then she called me short legged twerp with no sense of fare play and it was such a pity that my tail didn't curl over like it was supposed to do!

That was it, she wasn't going to get away with that, I said I would straighten her tail out for her.

And that's when the fight started!

Tail Grab & Twist!
OTL shouted at both of us for fighting and growled at us for being 'unladylike' and told us we would get taken back to the car if we didn't behave!

Yes, Sorry OTL!

We met up with Sky and Kep a couple of Lurcher/Sheepdog sort of things that were very big and full of life. They chased us around and at one time I even climbed onto OTL's lap for protection!

Sky (Bully)
We walked on a bit and got to the swimming hole, we were glad about that 'cos we both needed a drink!

Down there we met up with Jimmy, we had met him before and we had an exchange of sniffs. We told him to be careful of Sky and Kep, he thanked us and went on his way.

Yo! Jimmy Lad!
No sooner had Jimmy walked off when we were almost bowled over by Honey who came tearing up to us! We had played with her before and we knew we could beat her on the fast turn, so we had a good game of chase using OTL and the turning spot!

Hello Honey!
It wasn't long before we were all out of breath, so Holly had a chat and told her about the interesting sniffs a bit further down the path.

We were glad to get back home, a good meal of liver and a mug of OTL's meal, then settle down in front of the TV for a snooze before bed!

See you tomorrow!

Last Day before we get Done!

Hi Ho Woofers!

It's the Terrible Two, (as Old Two Legs calls us sometimes) back with you again!

A quiet sort of day today, went for our normal morning walk but OTL didn't have his big walking boots on, instead he wore his normal 'Day Shoes', now that means he is going out in the big car. So we were getting all excited about where we were going to go!

After our brush, he put down our breakfast bowls and called us into the kitchen, something was not right, he still had his coat and shoes on.

Then as Holly was tucking into her food, OTL waved us good bye and shut the kitchen door! He was off before we had time to whimper!

He was gone, leaving us with The Missus!

We were not happy little puppy's about being left at home, we always go with OTL where ever he goes!

Holly says he was going without us because she got all bossy about going to the Forrest yesterday but I told her it was more than likely that he had some customers to see or he was going where dogs were not allowed!

Lunchtime we had a hunt for rabbits, but it was not the same without OTL, you see, as he is taller than us, he normally points out where the rabbits are, TM didn't know that and let us get on with it on our own.

Come on, we know you're in there!
We even kept our eyes open for other doggy's but they were nowhere to be seen!

So, who's that then?
Holly started to do her bird watching and got all excited when she saw a Shore Lark. Now that is a Rare bird around here, not exactly a MEGA report but rather a 'Very Rare & Interesting' bird.

She managed to get a photo, not very good, but the bird wouldn't stand still long enough!

Holly's Shore Lark.
Holly reckons it is a female and has been around for some time, lost!

They are normally found up the far north in Sweden or Norway or on the Alpine Moors, so the Isle of Grain is a little out of its normal territory!

It was much later when OTL came back and yes, he had been out to see some of his customers. We gave him a big 'Welcome Home' type of hello and licked his ear as well. It was good seeing him back home again and super to get a late run down the Sea Wall.

Still no rabbits, but at least he did point one out to us!

Lambs heart tonight and TM has mixed some Doggy Dins in with it! What a way to ruin a good tasting heart!

See you tomorrow, and no, OTL still has not got the printer set up yet. At this rate it would be quicker for him to paint the scene rather than trust the camera and the printer!

Bye bye for now!

Squirrel Hunting for a change!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again!

We were out this morning looking for rabbits but they had all gone to bed! Not good enough!

So after sharing a sniff or two, we asked if we could go down the Forest for a change.

Not a bad sniff!
Old Two Legs was a little put out 'cos he is still having problems getting his new printer to produce what he sees on the screen. Last lot came out like green mud!

He said he will see how things went and decide later. Well, Holly got upset about that and told OTL that if he didn't take us to the Forest then we were never going to lick his ear again or give him a cuddle!

She can be so bossy!

Forest or Else!
We carried on discussing it all the way around the Sea Wall and at one point I sat down and refused to go any further!

No Further!
OTL said that if we were good puppies, then he would consider our suggestion!

Yes, Success!

As it turned out, the printer was still not behaving it's self and OTL was getting upset, so a good walk in the woods would help him get over it!

As soon as we got to the woods I was off like a streak of light, chasing the squirrels!

Super Fast Squirrel Chaser!
We had a great time, Holly was acting as Beater and I was Chaser and we managed to get seven squirrels run up the trees while we were there! I got close to grabbing one but it was just too fast!

One time we even chased two squirrels up the same tree!

Two Pesky Squirrels!
It was fun just watching them jump around and then when they thought we had gone, we would spring out of the bushes and chase them again!

I got very good at following their running along all the branches and up and down the trees!

Watching & Waiting!
Holly said she had a brilliant idea, instead of waiting for them to come down from the trees, she would go after them up the trees!

Super Squirrel Holly!
Well, that didn't work 'cos OTL called her back down and said that he wasn't going to carry her back to the car if she fell off and hurt herself!

So, it was back to watching and pouncing when we thought we had a chance!

We can still see you
It was a super time we had and we think that OTL enjoyed it as well and when he got home he had another try with the printer.

No luck, he still gets muddy pictures!

We have left him in the office mumbling dark curses at the computer and the printer, so the safest place for us is tucked up in our beds, just for a small snooze before going to bed!

See you tomorrow!

Daisy & Holly

Technical Saturday for OTL!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here to see you again!

We've been very busy today. First of all we woke Old Two Legs up at six this morning and we asked if he was going back to work on his new printer before taking us out? He said, No, and went back to sleep for an hour! Well, we did ask him, 'cos we know how he wants to get it going properly!

'Walkies' he shouted and off we went down to our favourite morning walk, rabbits were out and we had fun chasing them down their holes. Well, we stood outside and woofed at them! It's a new game we are playing, you see, we used to go tearing around the brambles and get confused with all the rabbits running in different directions. Now, we sneak quietly behind the tree, see where the rabbits are, then CHARGE!

I Spy Rabbit!
Holly and I tried this out with an old crow that we often meet sitting on the railings!

Clear off Puppies!
This time he flew down to the waters edge and picked up a shell and was trying to open it and eat the inside, yucky or wot!

We spotted a ship moored off the mouth of the River Medway, OTL says it was there so it can have a rest before loading up on Monday morning!

Having a rest!
We got back home and had our brush, breakfast and this time OTL put on our anti flea stuff. Smells horrid but we haven't seen a flea yet, ticks by the ton but no fleas!

OTL spent all morning setting up, testing, then muttering curses when the printer didn't produce the quality of print he wanted!

Come lunch time he was getting all frustrated and cross with everyone!

So, we took him out for another walk along the sea front. It was a little blowy but not too cold, in fact, OTL has just replaced the battery in his portable anemometer, the one he used when climbing Scottish mountains, Munro's the call them and he always wants to know when it was cold enough to get dangerous! What he would do about it, half way up the mountain, I don't know, but this thing will give him the air temperature and also the wind chill temperature!

While we were out we met up with a new dog that was woofing more that Holly when she gets excited!

Noisy little Woofer!
He came running up, woofing his head off, ran away then came back for more woofing! This carried on for a while, then his owner started calling him but all he wanted to do was woof at us. In the end the owner had to come back and put him on a lead, that will teach him!

We know he was young but it is a good lesson to learn, when to woof and when not to woof!

Back home again and OTL went back to his new printer, trying different settings. You see, the picture you see on the computer screen and it's colours are not what comes out of the printer. OTL has calibrated the computer screen so he knows that is 'standard' but the printer is getting confused with the messages it getting from the computer and of course, the colours are all wobbly!

Still, it keeps OTL quiet and we knows he really enjoys the challenge!

Tomorrow, maybe The Forest if it's not raining, we may get to chase a squirrel if they are up!

See you tomorrow!

Daisy & Holly

Working hard watching OTL working hard!

Yo Ho Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again.

Today has been all sort of mixed up and frantic! It started this morning, about three thirty, Holly or maybe it was me, heard something making a noise, not sure what it was but it was outside. So, being good Guard Dogs, we let the maker of the noise know we were here and they or what it was, should clear off, fast!

Being a guard dog is full of danger you know, as soon as we start woofing, The Missus starts woofing, at us, then Old Two Legs wakes up and woofs at everyone!

Then TM can't get back to sleep and starts to toss and turn in the bed, waking OTL up again, he growls at every one and TM gets up and goes down stairs to make a card or two until it's time to wake OTL up. Trouble is, OTL is woken up by the lights going on and TM moving all the card making stuff around. You know, table and chair, then the fresh coffee and the biscuit tin, then the computer starts up with that Bing Bong sound. All in all, no one gets any more sleep, except us, who can sleep even when TM is making cards!

So, with OTL up early, we get an early walk!

This time we didn't get wet 'cos the rain had gone and the sun had come out and it was great running along the beach and the grass path.

We came across a big scary monster sitting on top of bush thing. We gave it a good woofing especially when it made a noise and shook it's self when the wind blew. OTL was laughing and called us a pair of 'Potty Puppy's'

The Bag Monster!
Well, it could have been dangerous and Holly agrees with me!

OTL played for a while trying to catch a wave breaking on the sea wall, he said he was practising for when we get a real big storm and the waves are huge. Well if the waves get huge, he do the morning walk on his own, Holly and I will just make do with the garden and go back to bed!

A Monster Wave in the Making!
We got back home and after breakfast, we were enjoying a well earned snooze, when we heard the front door bell ring, it was Auntie Sheila come to slap the old glue pot around and throw the glitter  about!

She got a big 'Hello' from both of us and a lick on the nose as well!

OTL got his new printer delivered today, so he has been bashing and crashing around in the office trying to make room for it. We have been watching him drilling and wiring and sticking new brackets on the wall and getting in a right state! So after lunch we decided it was time for him to have a break and take us to the New Park again!

It was fun as normal, loads of sniffs, a few new tails to sniff and Holly met a new friend that she thought looked wonderful, she said he was sophisticated and looked very fit. I thought he was a show off and soon ran circles around him when he tried to chase us!

Hello Handsome!
We came across a young Jack Russell type who was hiding in the ditch 'cos he was not too sure how friendly we were! Holly soon put him straight and pretty soon he was running about having a great  game of 'Chase' with us, that was until his owner called him away!

Hello Micky
Towards the end of the walk we bumped into another pair of Jack Russell types and we had a game of 'Chase' with them as well. Well, there was no way they could keep up with me, my 'Fast Turn' trick had them totally lost and falling over their own tails!

Can't catch me!
If OTL has finished his office, we hope to go out tomorrow on an adventure, providing it's not raining of course.

We are off now to mug OTL for a bit of Nan bread and a wipe of his curry sauce, then it's chicken and biscuits for dinner!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Windy old weather, Stormy old weather!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly just blown in!

Wow! It has been a stormy old day today, first of all, The Missus took us for a walk across the Fields and when we got to the highest bit the wind blew like mad and there was rain and SNOW!

Like, this is North Kent, the sunny bit of the UK, we shouldn't get snow!

When we got back Old Two Legs had to give us a good rub down with the towel and then it was back to the bed for a warm up and a snooze!

Lunch time was no better, this time we went down to the Riverside Park.

Wind? It was more of a gale when we got to the exposed parts, OTL could hardly walk he was being blown about so much!

We were lucky, you see we are close to the ground and the wind sort of misses us most of the time!

The only problem we have is that the sniffs blown on thewind come in at such a speed that before we register the sniff and it's meaning, three more have formed a queue behind it and are pushing it out of the way!

'ere, what was that Sniff?
We went around the other side of the trees and the wind had dropped right the way down, so Holly decided to play 'Queen of the Castle' and told us we were all her subjects and we had to do everything she said.

I'm Queen of the Castle!
I told her that I had declaired the Riverside Park a Republic and as soon as I find a big axe I would chop off her head!

She said that I was behaving like a little dictator and anyway, she didn't talk to little squirts like me.

And that's when the fight started!

It didn't last long 'cos OTL threatened to put us to bed early with no dinner.

He can be so strict sometimes!

OTL was really more interested in his camera and the sun beams coming down from the clouds.

Sun Beams
Holly said that if he keeps on like this he will end up as a little Sun Beam himself! I thought that was funny and we looked around to see if he had heard Holly say it, luckly he had not!

Back home we said 'Hello' to TM and retired to the office for a snooze before dinner. Lambs Heart and biscuits, one of our favourites!

Not sure what's planned for tomorrow, maybe a run down the Farm again, if it's not too windy, we don't want any trees falling on us!

Oops! Nearly forgot, Max Matey, new Two Legs make a loads of noise and smell funny and according to Holly, taste nothing like chicken!

Stay away from the paper pants, one sniff and your eyes will water all day long!

Do youself a favour, stick to looking cute and stick your tounge out at the same time, you'll get more treats that way!

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly (Still Queen)
