Mid week Already And TV Stars!

Hello Woofers!

It's us back again, Super Cool Daisy & Super Smooth Holly!

It was a bit dull this morning on our run, the clouds were hiding the sun but at least it has warmed up a bit. We didn't need our coats when we went for our walk along the Sea Wall.

We played a game of 'Hide & Seek' with Old Two Legs but somehow he always found us!

Boo!
Holly jumped up to have a look where OTL was and .........

Boo Too!
OTL was a bit too quick for Holly!

We chased a Sea Gull and had a woof at the Brent Geese who were walking on the mud. OTL counted nine today 'cos normally there are six in the group. Holly reckons that some relatives have come to stay for a holiday!

Brent Geese on a Route March!
Back home to a breakfast of Lambs Heart and Biscuits then a well earned snooze while OTL messes about in the office.

It seems like just a moment snooze before our internal clock start telling us it's time for the 'Lunch Time Walk' and for a change, we decide it should be The Forest, 'cos we haven't been there for a while.

Come lunch time The Forest was forgotten and we dashed off to the Sea Wall again. When we got down there, we saw a big van with a satellite dish on top and people walking around with big cameras and microphones that looked like stuffed squirrels!

OTL says it was all to do with the stupid idea of putting an airport in the Thames Estuary. They were interviewing an RSPB spokesman who was telling them it was a stupid idea as well.

It's A Stupid Idea!
Then we saw another camera man taking pictures of the Sea Wall and people walking their dogs, so, we had a shake and put on our best 'Super Star' look and just floated along the Sea Wall while they took our picture!

Getting ready for the Stars to arrive!
They also took a picture of OTL as well, but we don't think they will use that 'cos he would scare the birds off worse that the aircraft!

When we got home, we were just 'Fatigued Darlings', so we spent the afternoon 'Resting' with our Rawhide Chews!

Just Resting Darlings!
It's hard life being Super Stars!

We're going to watch the local TV news this evening to see if they use our 'Takes'!

Holly says she is going to phone Steven Spielberg and see if he has anything that might interest us!

Bye bye for now, see you tomorrow, if we can get through the fan mail tomorrow morning!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Chilly Day!

Hello Woofers,

Daisy & Holly here again.

We didn't wake up too early this morning, it was the late night we had last night , partying the night away with Old Two Legs, celebrating his birthday. Super fun, Holly sang a song about chickens escaping from the farm and The Missus told us a story about the time she got stuck in the ladies. OTL had his whisky out and the shortbread went down a treat as well!

So it was a late night and a late morning, in fact Holly didn't want to get up at all!

Holly really doesn't do mornings and even had a little grumble when OTL told her to get off the bed and go down stairs and put her coat on!

Hey! The day after the haircut is the day we really appreciate those coats and not only were we warm, we looked good as well!

Me, Warm and looking Good!
Holly said we should have a fashion show with these coats and then pretended to walk down the 'Cat Walk' wiggling her tail just like a real model.

Holly on the 'Cat Walk'
I said she looked more like duck on the Board Walk!

That's when the fight started!

It didn't last long 'cos we saw the Wormy Man heading out to find the worms and he was racing out there 'cos another Wormy Man was heading towards his spot!

The Wormy Races!
We left them to it and saw young Barney in the distance, he was bounding all over the place chasing his 'Ball on a Rope'. He just loves that and when he gets going, he gives it a good shake and almost knocks himself out!

When he got to us, we said he looked real smart in his winter coat and what did he think of ours? He said he could really do with one that was fleece lined, just like ours because his one scratched his back sometimes!

Barney & Holly
We all had a chase around and before long we had got back to the car and started off for home.

Breakfast was Beef and Biscuits, well, TM makes up a large batch of curry for OTL and freezes meal size portions, but, she always has some left over and cooks it for us!

We had a snooze in OTL's office and woke up just in time to go for our lunch time run! This time it was the New Park, 'cos OTL had to deliver some stuff.

A good run around, with our coats on of course, OTL was waving the camera about and took a shot of me looking 'Cool'

Me, looking 'Cool'
Of course we stopped by the Not Not's to say hello but as normal, they only looked at us and whistled then stamped their feet at us! Oooo! So Scary!

Not Not Neddy's being 'Scary'!
The best bit of the walk was when we met up with a Wire Haired Fox Terrier! OTL said that we should remember that our Mum is a Wire Haired Fox Terrier. So, we both said hello and Holly said she was nearly as tall as him and she said he was a handsome example and he said that Holly was a 'Sweety' and gave her a kiss on the nose!

Holly gets kissed!
Holly went all sloppy and said she was not going to wash her nose for a week!

Back home to a snooze before the serious business of mugging OTL for some of his curry. We are not bothering to mug TM 'cos she has decided to go on a slimming course and her food tastes horrid and there is not much of it any way!

I said that Holly should go on a diet as well 'cos her back end was getting too big and that's when the fight started, again!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly (with the Kissed Nose!)

Happy Birthday OTL!

Hi Ho Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here!

Today we had some fun! You see it's Old Two Legs Birthday and to celebrate his birthday we woke him up good and early and sang him our 'Happy Birthday' song.

The Missus didn't seem to know the words but she did some woofing of her own and went back to sleep.

OTL said thank you to us both and then said that as it was just a quarter to two, he would go back to sleep and enjoy a lay in for a while! Well, what could we say? We left him to snooze and we went back to sleep ourselves!

Now we know that OTL can be sneaky sometimes but after our walk this morning, he took us down to the 'Poodle Parlour' and left us there to get our 'Shampoo & Set', as he calls it.

Well, what can we say/ We were shampooed, shaved, claws trimmed, tail coiffured, bottom washed and then blow dried and sprayed with 'Puppy Pongo' spray that make us smell all unnatural, as far as doggy's go!

We were sure glad to see OTL at lunch time when he came to rescue us, he made a big fuss then had to be helped to a chair when they presented the bill! I'm sure that he is just showing off when he does that!

Back home for a late breakfast and a snooze.

We asked OTL to get our coats out when we go out walkies, the wind does sure blow up some new places when you get a hair cut!

Here are two pictures, a sort 'Before' and 'After'!

Before
And Now...........

Me After!
Holly After

After we got out of the Parlour, we were straight down to the New Park, OTL knows what we want! We also had a bit of Chicken Fillet he had brought with him, super tasty stuff that is!

When we got down there, most of the other dogs stayed away from us and we weren't sure why? Then a big hairy door mat stopped and we all had a sniff, then he announced that we both smelt 'Terrible'! It was that spray they covered us in!

Where did you get that sniff?
We are going to have a word with OTL when we get home!

Saying hello to TM was fun, we both run around her and dive in quickly with a lick in the ear, then before she can see who it is, the other dives in and licks her ear!

We had a super bowl of liver and biscuits and a snooze to follow, in fact we were quite worn out and just stretched out, stuck our feet in the air and enjoyed being at home.

This evening we are going to have a party for OTL, we will get his whisky out and share some of his shortbread and Twiglets! He can have a slurp or two or three and we can all sing songs and tell jokes about OTL getting confused and us playing tricks on him!

Do we know how to live or what!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Sunday fun with the Family!

Yoo Hoo! Woofers!

It's us again!

Sunday can be fun some times and we had a really fun day today.

First of all, we went down the Sea Wall with Old Two Legs. Not so frosty as yesterday but the sun was out and so was the sea! Being Sunday, there were no Wormy Men digging in the mud.

We had a woof at the crow again and this time Holly chased the crow off his shell fish meal, that made him cross and he kept dive bombing Holly to drive her away. Trouble was, he didn't know what food means to Holly and she wasn't going to move until it had been investigated to the full!

In the end, Holly reckons it tastes a bit like the prawns The Missus likes and really wasn't Holly's favourite taste, unless she is starving!

So she let the crow have his meal back!

We met a couple of doggies we have met before and after a quick hello all round, we headed back for breakfast.

Hello Lads!
After a brush and our breakfast, OTL decided that we had 'Mucky Chops' and were in need of a wash. Now, our 'Mucky Chops' come from chewing on the rawhide chews and we end up with the rawhide juice sticking to the fur around our mouth. Left over night, it hardens up and is not very comfortable when we want to put our chins on our paws for a snooze!

So OTL has a go a washing it off, well, first of all he sits me on his lap, then proceeds to wash my mouth and under my chin with a flannel dipped into warm water and doggy shampoo.

It's a bit yucky and the shampoo doesn't taste too good either. I wave my head around a bit trying to get away but OTL has a good hold on me and we finally get the hard bits soft and OTL pulls them off or cuts them off with the scissors.

I then get a good rub down with the towel and off I go with a damp snout!

Next it was Holly's turn.

Now Holly has never been too good with this obsession these Two Legs have for soap and water. So, sitting on OTL's lap she does what I do, wave her head about trying to get away from OTL.

This doesn't work too well 'cos OTL has a good hold of Holly so she can't jump down.

Holly has a trick that had OTL chuckling away as it happened.

Holly puts her head right back, under OTL's chin, so as OTL is washing Holly's chin he is washing the side of his face as well!

Then, as he carries on washing, she quickly turns her head, that means she has her nose under the other side of his chin. That results in him washing the other side of Holly's chin, and, at the same time, the other side of OTL's chin!

Poor OTL, he does try to do his best for us and he ends up getting all washed with doggy shampoo and smelling like a pampered woofer!

Talking of Pampered Woofers, we had a look at the calendar and see that we have an appointment in the morning with the hairdresser for a Shampoo & Set!

In this weather? He must be joking! I hope he brings our coats when he picks us up!

We had our morning snooze and were woken with the noise of The Boys arriving with the rest of the family for a Christmas Lunch. Holly likes that and we both make a big fuss of everyone. Holly also likes Christmas Dinner 'cos that means she gets to have Turkey for a change!

OTL got a present of a belt buckle (Bald Eagle) and a bottle of the finest Talisker Single Malt Whisky, one of OTL's favourite slurps!

You know why?

Tomorrow is his birthday, we reckon he must be getting on for a thousand years old, at least!

We had a good meal and even got to have a bash at the ice cream as well!

So, early to bed tonight 'cos we are up early for our hair cut and shampoo and of course, we have got to wake him up with a 'Happy Birthday Lick & Cuddle'

So, Bye Bye for now and see you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

OTL keeps Disapearing!

Hello Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy & Holly back to see you.

Last night after up loading the blog, Old Two Legs an The Missus started putting on their outside coats and TM was putting lipstick on as well. A sure sign they were going out! So, Holly and I started to try and guess where we were all going. That was right up to the point where OTL waved his hand and said 'Bye, Bye' and then told us he wouldn't be too long!

That's it, we were going to be left on our own with nothing to do but chew carrots on the lounge floor and sleep on the sofa where OTL had left his big warm coat!

Holly and I started off with a good game of chase all around the house. Then we went and got our rawhide chews and brought them down stairs. Now, we normally get in trouble if we do that 'cos they leave a white sticky mess on the carpet. After a short time we took them back up to OTL's office  'cos we didn't want to get in trouble when they come back!

Auntie Sheila came in around nine and let us out for a wee in the garden, which was very kind of her and to show how thankful we were we gave her a 'Big Hello' lick!!

Needless to say, when OTL & TM finally get back from visiting their friends, we gave them a lick as well, before going to bed.

This morning it was frosty when we went out, deep frost that made you very careful when you go for a wee. We don't throw our leg up in the air like wot Max does, we squat down and if you go too far, that frosty grass can be a bit chilly on your bits!

Watch yer bits Sis!

On the way back we played a game with OTL, we reckoned that if we put our shadows together, we could be as long as OTL's shadow but somehow it didn't work out!

He is still longer than us!
When we got home OTL gave us a brush and we had lambs heart for breakfast. When we finished, Auntie Karen & Uncle Ian came knocking on our door, well, we gave them a good 'Hello Lick' and Karen started unloading loads of glue pots and bags of glitter, we know what she had in mind for today!

Before we knew it, OTL and Ian had sneaked out of the house and were off to do some bird watching, without us!

That was not fair, I mean, we can be good girls and watch birds without making too much noise!

We spent the day dodging glue and glitter lumps flying about, but we did get a run around the Fields at lunch time and Holly reckons she found a sniff worth rolling in, that was until TM started to shout at her , so she had to leave it alone. She did make a note of where it was so next time.......!

OTL came back and said that the birds were all tucked up in bed keeping warm, he saw some of the Ducky things like Coot and Moor Hen and Shoveller and he took a picture of a Tufted Duck with its yellow eye!

Oo! You taking my photo?
As normal, the Coots were all fighting and chasing each other around the pond! OTL saw a Marsh Harrier, but it was a long way away across the other side of the pond and kept looking the other way!

Marsh Harrier having a rest.
OTL reckons the best bird he saw today was the Great White Egret, but it was so far away that he had to get Ian to use his telescope to find it first of all!

Can you see it?
When they both got back, OTL said that we wouldn't have enjoyed it down there as it was too cold, even in the hides! So, maybe it was a good idea that we got left in the warm with TM and the Cat Woman!

Not sure what is planned for tomorrow but we did hear OTL & TM talking about The Boys coming over for 'Christmas Lunch'? Now, come on, even we know it's January and Christmas in in December! If they do come over we can have a good game and maybe go out down the New Park for a run, that would be fun!

I'll let you know what happens!

Bye bye for now, see you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Rush around Friday

Hi Woofers!

D&H back with you on a sunny Friday.

Old Two Legs has been rushing around today trying to get loads done and ending up getting nowhere, as usual!

We saw a crow eating shell fish today and Holly tried to get a good look at what it was eating, but every time she got close, the dopey bird flew off!

'ear! Got any chicken?

I stayed well away, 'cos I know that if you start to run where it is all green and slimy you will only fall over and end up with a smelly rump!

Then OTL tells you off and you get all your parts washed when we get home!

We had a good run down The Farm this afternoon, loads of Badger Hunting and Squirrel Chasing, except that we didn't see any squirrels or badgers, but we pretended we did!

Holly found a hole and kept woofing down it, I think she was trying to wake up whatever it was that was sleeping down there!

Yo! Wake up you Dopey Badger!
Needless to say, nothing happened!

OTL has been having a bash with his printer this afternoon, so we didn't get our walk until late and we had to put on our flashing collars.

Didn't we look the business!

Flash or wot!

Off for some lambs heart for dinner, so, must rush!

See you tomorrow, have a good weekend!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Thor's Day with a Snooze!

Hi Ho Woofers!

D&H back again!

What a wonderful sunrise this morning! It was super deep red and yellows. We woofed and woke Old Two Legs up thinking he might like to take a photo of it, but all he did was to take us down to the garden and let us out for a wee!

Mind you, that early in the morning we don't think he can tell if there is a red sun rise or he is still looking through his eye lids!

Poor OTL just doesn't do early mornings!

By the time we got down to the Sea Wall the red had all gone, leaving a sort of golden glow.

Which was OK by us and it didn't hurt OTL's eyes!

A Gentle sunrise!

As we came back we saw some people on the beach taking photos and using a big reflector. Holly thought it was a wind break 'cos the model was in swimming trunks but OTL put her straight on that one being that he's 'Technical' on photographing and anyway, he has one of them reflector things as well!

Smile and say Cheese!
OTL wanted to go down and ask them what they were doing but we were pulling on the lead so hard to get back for breakfast that he didn't get a chance!

You know he showed off all the way home!

The Missus has been playing at crafting today, she showed OTL a label thingy that she made from the aluminium tape he sells. She stuck it on a bit of card, then squeezed it through her die machine, then  sloshed some inks over it and dried it with her flame throwing heat gun. (Dangerous thing that!)

Then she rubbed it down with some sort of sand paper. When she showed it to OTL she said it was called a 'Distressed Finish' OTL asked why it was that when he looked 'Distressed' TM just called him an 'Untidy Slob'!

OTL just can't win!

We both had a good snooze this morning, really relaxing snooze in our day beds, that was until OTL decided we both had 'Mucky Chops'!

Where we enjoy a good chew of the Rawhide Chew, the rawhide gives off a super slimy sauce that tastes wonderful. The only problem is, it is like glue, great when it is fluid but dries solid and gums up our whiskers!

OTL has been promising to wash our faces for some time and today is the day! I spent about half an hour, sitting on OTL's lap having my face washed with warm water and doggy shampoo, YUK!

In the end we didn't get it all out, but worst of all, Holly escaped the washing bit, OTL was too tired to do her!

Lunch time came and we went out to check on the fishermen, Holly said they had chicken sandwiches in their bags and was going to have a closer sniff when one of them shouted at her to 'Clear Orf'!

OTL laughed at that.

Got any Sarnies?

There were a few down there on the wall so we moved inland a bit.

No Sarnies here either!
We met up with a young doggy who had only just started to live with her owners, so was getting used to all the new sniffs and meeting loads of new dogs as well!

Thanks for the Sniffs Girls!
So we said 'Hello' and told her of a few really good sniffs on the path, then we had a little game of chase before heading for home.

The afternoon was spent having another well earned snooze and we even managed to get OTL to take us out for a run in the park when he took a parcel down to the Post Office!

So this evening we are going to spend having a snooze in front of the TV, well, OTL & TM do that every evening, so why not us?

But not until the shortbread gets nibbled!

This has been a good Thor's Day for us!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

How to get on OTL's nerves in one easy lesson!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back with you.

Today has been a funny sort of day, Old Two Legs was up early to take us out. He was trying to catch the sun rise but never got around to the Sea Wall in time. Still, it was nice and bright for our rabbit chasing!

First of all we sneaked around the brambles and hid behind the tree, keeping a lookout for any rabbits on the surface.
Is that one over there?
We saw just one and by the time we got to him, he had gone! Sneaky or wot!

OTL was trying to get a photo of the water splashing up the Sea Wall but the waves were not high enough, so they sort of just sloshed around on the beach. Not very exciting!

Just Sloshing Around!

We didn't see any other dogs while we were out but that is not unusual, especially at that time of the day.

We did see some Brent Geese running up and down the mud, chasing each other and making a terrible noise. A bit like The Missus does when she is laughing at the television when we are all up in the office!

Brent Geese on a Mission!
It was funny watching them run backwards and forwards and at one time I'm sure they were going to try and mug the Wormy Man for his bucket of worms!

Let's chase the Wormy Man!
They gave up the chase after a few feet 'cos the one at the back found his own stash of worms and made the mistake of telling the others!

So, the Wormy man got away, this time!

Wormy Man escapes a mugging!
This afternoon, TM went of Baby Sitting so we spent most of our time looking out the window waiting for TM to come back. OTL was working away, so he was no fun, I tried a couple of times to get him to come out and play ball in the garden but to telephone rang and that was it!

It was good when TM came back, we both gave her a big welcome home and we enjoyed the liver diner she had cooked for us.

So now all we got to do is mug OTL for a bit of shortbread and then off to bed!

See you tomorrow!

Daisy & Holly

Sharp Needles R Not Nice!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy & Holly here with you again!

Well, we went out good and early with Old Two Legs this morning and did our normal run around and woof at the Gulls, but when we had finished, it was down to the vet for our injections!

Now we are not wimps but it seems that every time we go in that place, OTL cries and we get hurt!

This time was no different, poor OTL was beside himself when he got the bill, even threatening to put us on eBay to help get his money back!

We got the complete check over but this time they didn't stick the thermometer up our bottoms! It was a case of feel this, prod that, squeeze the other and look into my eyes!

Then they came in with this enormous syringe and a needle that looked as big as a lamp post, told OTL to hold us but look away (he can't stand us being hurt).

I was OK but Holly started to bleed a little from the injection, you see she didn't keep her paw on the plaster, so, after a wash down she was OK and we were both desperate to get out of the place!

As a present for being so brave, OTL and The Missus took us down to the New Park, super ball chasing fun and we even waved hello to the Not Not Neddies. Not that they waved back!

We chased around hunting the ball, then Holly said that as I was the faster runner, I should let her run after the ball first. Well, I said that if she wasn't so fat and loopy she would be a bit faster on her paws and that would teach her for being such a pig at the feeding bowls!

Then she called me short legged twerp with no sense of fare play and it was such a pity that my tail didn't curl over like it was supposed to do!

That was it, she wasn't going to get away with that, I said I would straighten her tail out for her.

And that's when the fight started!

Tail Grab & Twist!
OTL shouted at both of us for fighting and growled at us for being 'unladylike' and told us we would get taken back to the car if we didn't behave!

Yes, Sorry OTL!

We met up with Sky and Kep a couple of Lurcher/Sheepdog sort of things that were very big and full of life. They chased us around and at one time I even climbed onto OTL's lap for protection!

Sky (Bully)
We walked on a bit and got to the swimming hole, we were glad about that 'cos we both needed a drink!

Down there we met up with Jimmy, we had met him before and we had an exchange of sniffs. We told him to be careful of Sky and Kep, he thanked us and went on his way.

Yo! Jimmy Lad!
No sooner had Jimmy walked off when we were almost bowled over by Honey who came tearing up to us! We had played with her before and we knew we could beat her on the fast turn, so we had a good game of chase using OTL and the turning spot!

Hello Honey!
It wasn't long before we were all out of breath, so Holly had a chat and told her about the interesting sniffs a bit further down the path.

We were glad to get back home, a good meal of liver and a mug of OTL's meal, then settle down in front of the TV for a snooze before bed!

See you tomorrow!

Daisy & Holly

Last Day before we get Done!

Hi Ho Woofers!

It's the Terrible Two, (as Old Two Legs calls us sometimes) back with you again!

A quiet sort of day today, went for our normal morning walk but OTL didn't have his big walking boots on, instead he wore his normal 'Day Shoes', now that means he is going out in the big car. So we were getting all excited about where we were going to go!

After our brush, he put down our breakfast bowls and called us into the kitchen, something was not right, he still had his coat and shoes on.

Then as Holly was tucking into her food, OTL waved us good bye and shut the kitchen door! He was off before we had time to whimper!

He was gone, leaving us with The Missus!

We were not happy little puppy's about being left at home, we always go with OTL where ever he goes!

Holly says he was going without us because she got all bossy about going to the Forrest yesterday but I told her it was more than likely that he had some customers to see or he was going where dogs were not allowed!

Lunchtime we had a hunt for rabbits, but it was not the same without OTL, you see, as he is taller than us, he normally points out where the rabbits are, TM didn't know that and let us get on with it on our own.

Come on, we know you're in there!
We even kept our eyes open for other doggy's but they were nowhere to be seen!

So, who's that then?
Holly started to do her bird watching and got all excited when she saw a Shore Lark. Now that is a Rare bird around here, not exactly a MEGA report but rather a 'Very Rare & Interesting' bird.

She managed to get a photo, not very good, but the bird wouldn't stand still long enough!

Holly's Shore Lark.
Holly reckons it is a female and has been around for some time, lost!

They are normally found up the far north in Sweden or Norway or on the Alpine Moors, so the Isle of Grain is a little out of its normal territory!

It was much later when OTL came back and yes, he had been out to see some of his customers. We gave him a big 'Welcome Home' type of hello and licked his ear as well. It was good seeing him back home again and super to get a late run down the Sea Wall.

Still no rabbits, but at least he did point one out to us!

Lambs heart tonight and TM has mixed some Doggy Dins in with it! What a way to ruin a good tasting heart!

See you tomorrow, and no, OTL still has not got the printer set up yet. At this rate it would be quicker for him to paint the scene rather than trust the camera and the printer!

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly
