It's Megan Rose, but does it taste Like Chicken?

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here!

Well, we are Not Happy!

After all our hard work yesterday thinking up names for the new baby, what has Auntie Zoe gone and done?

Ignored us and our suggestions!

She is calling the baby Megan Rose!

I don't know what a Megan is, but Rose is a flower, so we are half pleased with that.

The big question is............................does she taste like chicken?

Can Finley have a nibble and tell us?

Super Sunny morning today, The Missus was up very early to watch the racing and Holly, me and Old Two Legs stayed in bed snoozing!

When we all finally got out, we discovered it was sunshine and Balmy People!

Look at these two, they have their fishing rods out but the tide has gone out and won't be back for six hours!

Who Nicked The Sea?
We met up with the closet Sea Gull who really was a Collared Dove but wants to change colour! He also has got a taste for sea weed on the breakwaters!

Closet Sea Gull
Holly found another lump of Egg Sack and had a great time showing off her tricks.

First she worried it, then kicked it along a bit, then she jumped on it and pretended to bite it's head off!

Gotcha!
Then she started to kick it along the path and pretended she was Wayne Roony on a good day!

Goaaaaaaaal!
Gawd, you'd would have thought she had won the Cup Final all on her own!

The rest of the day was spent with Old Two Legs choosing his his pictures for his 'Portfolio'.

He's got so many pictures to sort out and so little time!

The whole package should be ready by next month and he has got to print them and mount them all fifteen of them!

Clever old stick he is!

Early to bed tonight all this motor racing has worn us out!

Bye for now.

Wet Walkies, F1 & A Funny Smelling Baby!

Yo Ho Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here!

We have had a busy day today, so much to do!

First of all, we were woken up too early this morning by The Missus getting up and goig downstairs to watch the F1 Practice Sessions on the TV.

All we wanted to do was snooze but the sound of F1 cars racing around kept us awake. So, we woke Old Two Legs up to complain! Not that it did any good, he just went back to sleep again!

Our morning stroll along the Sea Wall was early as well! What was worse, it was raining! We had to put on our rain coats in case it got any wetter. Luckily, it didn't, but we did need our legs and tummy dried off when we got back to the car!

We saw the Corvid Family having breakfast, so we both tried chasing them, just for fun and I even lost my coat doing it!

Nearly Gotcha!
As I'm the faster runner, I was ahead of Holly and I only just missed them!

Next time I'll get them good and proper!

It was then that we heard laughter coming from on top of the hill, it was Barney laughing at us. 'You're Just Not Fast Enough Girls!'

Not Fast Enough Girls!
Then he tried showing us how to leap up in the air from a standing start, a sort of 'Let The Force Be Under You!'

Look, Bend the Knees Like This!
Well we tried it but couldn't get the hang of it at all! So we said we gotta go 'cos we're off to see what the new baby taste like!

Barney said that if it tastes like the new baby he knows, it will be all smelly and making loads of noise!

We said we would let him know!

After lunch, off we went to see the new baby and Auntie Zoe. When we got there, loads of people were all cooing and cuddling the baby. We got shut in the kitchen with a chew and a bowl of water. Not exactly the best welcome we've had in the past!

We had some fun with Finley, he came and tried out our mobile day bed but decided it was too lumpy for him!

Sorry, it's just Not Me!
Of course, the baby got passed around the family for a cuddle, OTL was on hand for the photo's.

First Cuddle for TM!
Even Tom got to have a cuddle, but we weren't sure if he understood what he was supposed to do! Mind you, the football was on the TV and I think he was having trouble concentrating on both jobs!

Hey Cuz! It's a goal kick!
So, we never got to taste the new baby, but I'm sure there is plenty of time yet, chicken, turkey or beef or fish, it's got to be one or the other!

We thought it funny when Finley said he was fed up with all the attention the baby was getting and decided to watch Peppa Pig on the iPad instead!

Peppa Pig is Bacon!
So far the baby has not been given a name, so we suggested they call it Daisy or Holly or Peppa!

It's getting late, so we are off to bed now.

See you tomorrow, about six when the F1 race starts!

Bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Clear the Decks, OTL is planning to work this Weekend!

Hi Ho Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here with you again!

After I posted the blog last night I settled down to a good snooze in the 'Day Bed' but got woken up by The Missus banging doors and running up and down the stairs, she was getting ready to go to bed, at nine thirty!

Anyway, with TM upstairs, that left Old Two Legs and Holly downstairs, Holly chewing on her favorite chew and OTL watching some film on the television.

Now, this chew Holly has is one she keeps carrying around with her all the time. She even takes it out in the garden when she wants a wee! So, it is my job to get it off her and tucked up in my bed!

I start of by laying down in front of her and wag my tail. (Invitation to a little game?).

No movement.

Then I start to 'talk' to her, to you that would sound like me doing a low down grumble and a bit of a whine.

Still no movement.

Then I jump onto OTL's lap and do the same from there, adding a 'woof' or two just for good measure!

Still no movement.

Next I jump down, walk up to her and 'Paw' the chew away from in front of her.

Quick as a flash, she leaps forward, picks up the chew, grumbles seriously at me and runs behind the chair!

Gotcha!

A quick whine while standing at the back door gets OTL up and me and Holly shoo'd into the garden for our late night wee.

OTL grabs the chew from Holly as she heads out the door.

Out I dash, have a quick wee while Holly is still sniffin the air, then back again inside, grabbing the chew off the coffee table on my way back up to bed!

Mission Accomplished!

I reckon I'm pretty clever sometimes!

This morning I found she had sneaked into my bed and pinched it back again!

She can be just as sneaky sometimes!

We went for a walk along the Sea Wall and the first thing we spotted was.............No Barrel!

Barrel Gone Walkabout!
We reckon it has gone for a wander around the country side looking for other interesting things to do, like hunting chews!

A bit further on we were descended upon by Barney, 'Wheeeeeeee! Girlies' he called and almost landed on Holly and me while we were having a sniff of something interesting!

Wheeeee!!!!!

Barney had got a new ball and was chasing about with it and sometimes letting his owner throw it for him to chase.

Holly and I surprised him by chasing after the ball at the same time!

Quick get it!

It soon got into a game of 'chase and shove'!

OK, Let's Get Him!

Then OTL got our ball out and Barney tried to grab them both!

Holly and Barney got into some 'Discussions' about ownership of both balls.

Negotiations!

Which developed into 'Meaningful Discussions!'

I said, Drop It Lanky!

Followed by 'The Ultimatum!'

You keep him busy and I'll bite his tail!

That did it, we got our ball back!

Back home for breakfast and a snooze.

Lunch time we were out again and this time we saw the First Wheatear of the year arrive on the Sea Wall. It looked all super smart in it's new plumage. So we are going to keep our eyes open for the rest of the flock who must be following close behind!

First Wheatear this year!
I spotted the Wormy Man out on the mud digging away before the tide came back in.

Wormy Man!

Holly spotted a 'Wormy Curlew' also digging away for all its worth before the tide came in!

Holly's Wormy Curlew

We are off to see the new baby tomorrow, not sure if we will be allowed anywhere near it, Holly might want to have a taste!

We have left OTL up in his office, tidying up the work tops, we think he is planning to do some work on his 'Portfolio' for an award he hopes to get sometime in the next year!

See you tomorrow!

Daisy & Holly

Work Work and Grandchild number ten!

Hi Ho Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here with you again!

What a day this has been!

First of all we were woken up early by Old Two Legs, getting up and showering, before having his 'Rabbit Food Breakfast'!

We were shoo'd into the car and off to the Sea Wall while it was still misty!

Misty Morning!

We even met Barney who came flying over the hill, he said that it was a Two Legs thing to get up early sometimes when they had loads of work!

It's Meeeeeeeee!
We wished him well and were dragged off down the path.

The mist was really heavy and people looked all scary in 'Soft Focus'!

There was one scary thing we saw...........The Barrel!

Not only has it returned but now it had got out of the sea and was sitting on the Sea Wall!

I'M BACK!!!
Is it going to catch a bus and go on a sight seeing trip around Rochester?

We were very close to the car when a young lad came charging up 'Hey Girls! Fancy a game of chase?

Let's Play Chase!

We said 'Thanks for the invitation but we were off to our breakfast!'

Well that's what we thought! Instead we were off in the big car while The Missus chased us in the small car!

OTL stopped at the garage and left the big car 'For it's MOT' he said.  We didn't understand what an MOT was but we reckon it's a bit like the vet giving you a check up before selling you worming tablets.

We are going to keep an eye on OTL and see what size the worming tablets are for the car!

Off delivering and today TM came with us! She spent most of the time sending messages to Auntie Zoe who was going to have her baby today.

We ended up at The Forest and went Hunting Squirrel!

I spotted the first one.

Well, it was here a moment ago!

Then Holly spotted the second!

Guess what I see?

Then OTL spotted one but it doesn't count for him 'cos he doesn't chase them!

There was one time that Holly climbed the tree but was a bit worried about getting down, so she called for OTL to get her down by climbing onto his shoulder!

Get me down Daddy!

We were creeping up on one squirrel and were hiding in the fox hole when a squirrel started throwing nuts at us, mouldy ones he had dug up!

In Coming!

Holly says she is going to have a word with him the next time she sees him!

OTL was chasing his Jay about again but not doing very well. Every time he got close, the bird flew away!

Mr Jay, not helping OTL!

We have had very little sleep today and were about to go to bed when the phone rang and TM started jumping up and down, Auntie Zoe had just given birth!

A baby girl (late, as every female is, says OTL!)

Mother and baby doing well, baby sleeping and mother taking pictures with her iPhone!

That makes number ten Grandchild, ages ranging from thirty minutes to twenty three years old!

This is all too much for me, I'm going to bed!

Angela, can you get the engine driver to blow the whistle for us?

Bye bye for now!

See you tomorrow!

Daisy & Holly

Return of The Barrel!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy & Holly back again!

Guess What? We went out on our morning stroll along The Sea Wall and we spotted The Barrel back again at the High Tide mark. Seems it went out for a cruise then returned to the same beach for a snooze while the tide went out!

The Return of The Barrel!

Holly tried running The Wall of Death, well some sea weed covered concrete that when it's wet is slippery beyond belief!

Even with Puppy Powered Four Paw Powered Traction Control,  it's as slippery as a frozen pond!

Puppy Powered Four Paw Powered Traction Control!

After that scare, all Holly wanted was to go home and have some breakfast to calm her nerves!

Take me home for Breakfast!

As soon as we had eaten breakfast Old Two Legs had his coat on and an arm full of bits that needed delivering, so off we went again!

We finished just around the corner from The Forest, so,  where shall we go now?

Squirrel Hunting!

We got into the Forest but Holly wanted to show off her 'New Look'. She said she had been slimming and now looked all Super Slim and Trim!

I asked her when she did the slimming and Holly said 'Last Night, I didn't have any chews until ten thirty!'

If that's slimming then I'm a Sheep!

Looking Slimmer for The Spring!

We saw several squirrels up in the trees but to begin with I saw one on the ground, off I went like a streak of lightening doing my 'Squirrel Chasing War Cry'!

The squirrel saw me and only just managed to get up the tree trunk before I got to him!

Sneaky Squirrel having a breather!

Then OTL spotted a Tree Creeper chasing another Tree Creeper all around a tree trunk. Then one stopped and hid under a big branch, until the other one found her.

Tree Creeper Creeping Around The Tree!

Holly said it was a game of Hide-n-Creep!

I spotted some more squirrels and Holly an I chased them up even more trees!

Quick its up here!
Then OTL spotted a Jay sitting in the tree as well. Trouble was, it was sitting on a branch that was too high off the ground and the picture looks like OTL was trying to photograph the Jays Bottom!

Smile Please!
Back home for a snooze before our third outing of the day!

We bullied OTL into taking us down to the Sea Wall and guess what!

Yep! The Barrel is Back!

Back home to dinner, chicken and biscuits followed by some gammon steak from OTL's plate!

See you tomorrow.

Spring Cleaning for OTL

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here with you again!

It has been boring today, I mean Really Boring, in fact I would even go as far as saying it was BORING!

Old Two Legs has been letting things slip. There has been a pile of papers that have been left in the corner of his office and every thing he doesn't want to do gets put on the pile.

Well, today the pile got too big to ignore, so, he has been doing something about it!

Not that he really wanted to do anything but it got just too big to leave any longer!

There were forms for the Pension Office ('cos he's and OAP now!) and forms for the Tax Office ('cos he is still doing his work) and forms for The Council ('cos they hate him!)

So he has been filing, filling and posting all today. Which means there has not been too much time for us!

Our early morning walk was along the Sea Wall as normal and this time we could see the Sea!

Now, I tried to upload a picture here but the blog is playing up again, so you will have to use your imagination, again, until I can get them to load!

Panoramic picture of Holly and me on the beach!
A bit further on I found an old car tyre, no car, just the tyre!

Picture of me looking at the tyre!

Blow me down if a few yards further on Holly found an empty plastic barrel washed up on the beach!

Picture of Holly and the green barrel!

OTL told us to keep away from it 'cos we didn't know what was, or had been in it!

Holly remembered when she had been sniffin on the beach and got some nasty stuff on her nose that was horrible and she had to go to the vet 'cos it caused a nasty rash on her muzzle!

Back home again and more boring stuff all morning, so we slept and snoozed and then we had a little nap before setting out again.

Normally OTL takes us on an 'Adventure' at lunchtime but today it was back to the Sea Wall, which is OK but not the same!

We found the barrel was just about to float off on the incoming tide, so bye bye barrel!

Picture of Barrel bobbing around, ready to go on a cruise!
I found a large lump of those egg sack thingy wotsits and had a go at throwing it in the air, just like Holly does, but I'm not as good as her.

Picture of me making a mess of tossing the Egg Sacks!

Holly spotted me and rushed over to show me how to do it but I showed off and wouldn't let her have the Egg Sacks. So we had a Tug of War until they broke in half!

Picture of me and Holly and the Egg Sacks!

We were having a serious sniff on the path when we heard Wheeeeeeeee Girlies!!!! and Barney jumped over the top of Holly and chased after me!

Picture of Barney jumping over Holly
We all had a chase about and we told him of some interesting sniffs down near the path.

After all that it was back home again for some more boring paperwork. Around six this evening OTL announced that he had finished all the pile of paperwork and other than taxing the car for next month, he had finished!

So, tomorrow we are looking forward to a 'Double Adventure' to make up for a BORING Day!

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

If this blog keeps playing up we may just invest in our own web site and do our own blog from there!

Monday is Delivery Day!

Hi Ho Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back with you again.

Today started off a little Misty, we got to the Sea Wall and couldn't even see the Sea!

I can't See the Sea!
It was getting warmer as we went for our morning stroll. We woofed at a couple who were walking along in front of us but they didn't say anything.

Then Old Two Legs tried taking a picture of the Broom flowers again but there was just enough breeze blowing to make it almost impossible to focus!

Still, he did try!

Fuzzy Broom!
Back home it was all rush and tear around getting everything into the car. Then we were off, but first of all we asked if we could have a little walk down in the New Park, 'cos us girls needed a wee before setting out on the motorway!

We managed to stretch it into a bit of a game with the ball and this time OTL didn't fall over or hurt his ankle!

On the way out we came across this puppy. All of twelve weeks old, and didn't OTL just fall for the soft little eyes and little button nose!

Don't we just look Cute!
Holly reckons she was putting it on a bit and said we will have to watch her as she gets older 'cos she looks like she could be a real Tart!

Back to work and off we went with the car load, we lost count of the number of things we dropped off or picked up, but it was loads!

By the time we had finished, we were up near Purley Way in Croydon. We used to stop there on our way back home from Grandma's House. It was always or it just seemed to be always, dark when we had a run, so it made a good change to see it in the day light!

Gissa The Ball!
Holly and I chased each other all over the place, then we chased the ball, then we chased each other with the ball!

I gave Holly a good demonstration of Low Flying at Ground Level!

This is how it's done!
She said that I was just showing off and I was, just a little bit!

So we played 'Chase OTL With The Ball But Don't Let Him Get It'

Your turn with the ball!
We had him running all over the place trying to get the ball! Poor old thing got all Puffed Out by the time we had finished!

To finish off we decided to have a game of Football but had to give up after a bit 'cos we couldn't decide who was going to be in goal!

No! It's Your Turn in Goal!
So, all in all, we had a great day and spent all evening snoozing, after mugging OTL and having a super chicken dinner!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly
