Misty and Sun Today!

Yo Ho Woofers!

It's Daisy & Holly back again!

We have had a busy day today, doing nothing! We love days like that!

After all the hard work watching Old Two Legs shovelling earth for all he is worth, we let him have a play with the shovel again this morning. So, he has shifted some more earth out to the front of the house and put it near the skips.

Our morning walk along The Sea Wall was all full of sniffs and there were some visitors with their dogs as well.

One little terrier type was a ball of teeth and tail and he wasn't allowed on the ground for a sniff 'cos his owners thought he may bite everyone!

We heard some singing and wondered who it was singing a silly song about putting you leg in and out. So, carefully we crept around the corner to see a Sea Gull marching around the rocks singing!

Yer put yer left leg in, left leg out, in out in out and shake it all about!
OTL even thought that was funny!

Then we had a joke on OTL.

As the tide was right out, there was a patch of beach that had more sand than stones, so, we told OTL that we were going to dig our very own pond and this is how he should dig the hole!

This is how it's done!
Then, we showed him the ideal depth of the hole, for us!

and at least this deep!
OTL said that if we kept on showing off he would put us in the hole and fill it in again so only our tails showed above the sand!

That was it, Holly said that would be the last time she gave him any help on how to dig a hole!

A bit further on we met up with a Westie who was having a run around by himself, so we joined in and chased each other around in the long grass for a bit!

Yo! Westies R Us!

Back home he had another look at the mountain of earth and decided it was just too hot to do any more shovelling, he would leave the rest until tomorrow!

After fiddling about in his office we told him he was working too hard and he should take us out for a walk down by The Sea Wall!

Off we went, in the sun shine, the window was open a little, so we stuck our noses out and had a 'Speed Sniff' of the road side as we passed!

When we got to the Sea Wall, what a shock! There was Sea Mist blowing in onto the beach!

Here comes the mist!
It looked really strange, blue sky, warm sun shine and chilly mist on the breeze!

As we walked along the wall it got really heavy with mist and Holly nearly bumped into a fisherman on the beach 'cos she didn't see him until the last moment!

Who's That There?
It even made Holly jump!

We decided we wanted to go back to the warmth of the garden so off we went back to the car as soon as possible!

Where's the sea gone?
At one point we couldn't even sea the sea from the path!

Back home, snooze time then mug OTL for some of his curry!

Must get off to bed early tonight 'cos we got to wake OTL up good and early so he can get the rest of the earth out of the back garden ready for when the next skip arrives!

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly (Still Misty-fied!)

Worn Out OTL!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here on a Super Sunny Day!

We've been out early this morning on our run along The Sea Wall but we wanted to get back 'cos we had Lambs Heart for breakfast, seriously super grub!

Old Two Legs was playing in his office first thing but soon he was in the garden.

After breakfast, Holly and I thought we would have a roll around on the pond, just to try it out for size!

We tried jumping in at the deep end, then we slide down the walls into the deep end and then swam to the shallow end to have a bask on the 'Beach' bit!

Trying The Pond for size!
OTL was out the front of the house shovelling earth into the skips that were delivered this morning.

He had ordered a three cubic metre skip but they delivered two one and a half metre skips which was OK 'cos they added up to three metre.

Now, OTL has been having a problem with this digging lark because first of all he dug out the pond to roughly the shape and depth he had in mind, so he has a big pile of earth in the garden he has shovelled once. Then, to get it out the front of the house he shovels it all into a wheel barrow and moves it to the front of the house and empties the barrow onto the place where the caravan normally is parked.

Then once again, he shovels the earth into the skip. So that means he will have moved the earth pile three times! At the moment we expect to have moved four and a half cubic metres of earth three times!

So, OTL will have moved thirteen and a half cubic metres of earth by the time he finishes and that's without the earth he will shift 'Sculpturing' the pond to shape.

We told OTL about our calculations and asked how he felt about moving that much earth.

He Cried!
Holly pointed out that his hat was soaking with sweat, (something us doggy's don't do!), everywhere except for the very top and the outside of the brim!

We decided he needed a break, so we took him off to The Forest where he could have a walk in the shade of the trees.

We didn't complain when he wanted to take a picture of the Fairy Queens Throne!
Throne of the Fairy Queen!
We know there are other seats all over the forest and sometimes OTL stops for a rest!

He spotted that there were still loads of Bluebells out in the sunshine, so he took another boring picture!

This is Boring!
We saw several squirrels and called for them to 'Come on Down' , but they didn't!

So that gave OTL time to take another flowery picture!

Flowery Path!
Back home to another afternoon snooze while OTL finishes loading up the skips. He has got another skip lined up for delivery on Friday, so that means he has tomorrow off, now what can we get him to do tomorrow?

We will let you know!

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Tuesday is Sunday!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here!

Old Two Legs was doing his 'Good Owner' bit last night. You see, Holly has eaten something that has upset her tummy, so, after our late night wee at eleven we all marched off to bed.

Around twelve thirty, Holly makes it to the back door and give one of her 'I Wanna Go Out' woofs. So, down stairs goes OTL, very much asleep 'cos he had just got into the 'Deep Sleep' part his sleep cycle!

Well done OTL, Holly comes back and races OTL upstairs for the best space on the bed!

Holly wins but is thrown off by OTL who wants his bit of the bed back and all to his self!

Around two thirty, guess what? Yep! There is Holly doing her 'I Really Have to Go Out NOW' woof.

OTL staggers down stairs, bouncing off the walls and bumping into the kitchen door!

Holly rushes out, just in time and gets her butt washed when she come back in 'cos as OTL says, she's got a 'Grubby Butt'!

Holly beats OTL to the bed and gets thrown off again!

Around three forty five, we hear the 'I Really Got to GO OUT AGAIN.......NOW!' woof from Holly.

Good OTL, but this time he almost falls down the stairs 'cos his eyes are still closed and he is on 'Auto Pilot' mode and he has put his dressing gown on back to front!

He manages to bump into everything in his way and stub his injured big toe on the coffee table.

OTL is not a happy OTL!

Holly makes it out to the garden just in time and gets her butt washed and polished again!

At six, OTL has to get up 'cos he has to get the caravan down to the servicing place.

OTL is not in a good mood!

We have our morning walk and it is all misty and a chilly wind! What happened to the sunshine we were promised??

As we were strolling along, Holly says that her tummy feels much better now!

We meet up with Vinny and he has a sniff and says that Holly has a 'Flowery' sniff about her, we don't tell him it's the shampoo!

Mmmmm! Flowers!
OTL went off with the caravan but we had to stay at home with The Missus 'cos after the caravan OTL had to go to have his eyes tested!

Judging by the way he was crashing into things last night, we reckon he needs new glasses with stronger lenses or maybe radar fitted to his head!

When he came back we went out to The Marsh and had a good chase along the sea wall.

There were loads of Canada Geese swimming around and there were some baby geese as well.

The Mother was calling out for them to 'Keep in Line!'

You there, keep in line!
Holly said that they would make a tasty roast snack while we were watching television in the evening!

I saw one of the Male Canada Geese heading towards me, so I kept very low, very quiet and made sure my tail was up to make me look like a duck!

Come to Daisy!
Before they got close enough for me to catch, one decided I was not a Goose or Ducky Thing and raised the alarm, off they went all honking and squawking!

Hello Little Ducky Thing..........Ooooops!
Back home for a snooze before dinner and we even got to watch OTL take some of the earth out to the front of the house to await the arrival of the skip tomorrow.

We may even get to have our picture taken in the pond, providing the sun keeps shining!

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly (With a clean Butt!)

Monday's Sunday!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back with you again!

Yesterday we had the weather man talking about warm weather and sunshine for this week.

When we went out with Old Two Legs this morning it was decidedly chilly, windy and un-sunny!

We went looking for rabbits but they stayed inside their holes and refused to come out to play!

We saw a House Sparrow on the beach having a morning breakfast of sea weed, a sort of Sparrow Seaweed Sushi!

Seaweed Sushi

Holly and I were having a sniff on the grass path when this young Husky came bounding up to us. Now, you know I'm not the tallest puppy on the block and Holly is the same size, so, we tend to get a bit put out when we come up against a big dog we don't know.

I get really nervous and start to yelp and snap at them. I don''t really mean it, it's just I'm a little unsure of myself.

We had not met this Husky before, so, I got a bit worried.

Wanna Play?
He wanted to play.

I didn't.

He jumped up and scared me.

I yelped and ran behind OTL.

Then I woofed and snapped at him.

He jumped back so far he sat on his tail!

That sorted him out!

You don't mess with a Terrier!

This afternoon we went out with OTL down to The New Park, we haven't been there for ages, so there were loads of new sniffs and a few dogs we haven't met either!

First of all we went to see the Not Not Neddy's but they were down near the stables and pretended they couldn't hear us!

So we carried on and were joined by Sasha, a big excitable doggy who wanted to play chase. So, Holly and I had a game with her and I even let her chase me all the way down the field!

Catch me if you can!
We arrived at the swimming hole and we both jumped in for a paddle. It appears that Sasha is just a wary of the water as I am and only goes in as far as her tummy! OTL and Sasha's owner were throwing the ball for us and we were jumping in to fetch it. Then disaster struck, the wind caught the ball and blew it too far out so neither of us could get it, so we lost Sasha's ball!

Too Far For Me!!
That was it! We decided to carry on with our walk and see if there were any rabbits about!

Can you see us?
Trouble is, when we go rushing off to hunt rabbits OTL looses interest in us and wanders off and starts to wave his camera about. This time, when we came back, there he was, on his knees, photographing a dandelion that he said had just given birth.

We didn't think flowers did that sort of thing but he explained that the seeds had just blown off in the wind!

Dandelion giving birth!
Sometimes we think OTL is a bit strange!

Holly and I carried on running about and even managed a paddle in the Swimming Hole on the way back.

We had to be careful 'cos the was a big retriever having a swim as well and he kept loosing his ball!

Who Has Got My Ball?
We ran off up the hill following OTL who was throwing our ball for Holly but Holly just hasn't got the 'Ball Thing' yet. You see, OTL throws it and Holly chases the ball, catches it then runs away and hides the ball!

Then she comes running back to OTL saying, 'OK Now it's your turn to find it!'

OK, It's Your Turn!
Sometimes I wonder about my sister!

Back home it's chicken tonight and a mug of OTL's dinner, not sure what he has got 'cos we can't smell anything cooking, we just hope it's not ham salad!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Sunday but Slowly!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy & Holly back with you again!

We had a really lazy morning, first we got up, had our morning wee, then went back to bed again for our 'After Wake Up Snooze'.

Then of course, we got to have our 'Slowly Wake Up Snooze' in the day bed and then while Old Two Legs is having a shower, we wander back to the bedroom and collapse onto the bed to have a 'Gentle Roll Around Snooze' and await OTL to wash behind his ears!

By the time OTL has got his coat on, we have woken up enough to stagger downstairs for our morning walk along The Sea Wall with OTL.

This morning we heard, and then saw, a White Throat dancing among the weeds, then the Sea Gulls flew over us. Holly and I went for a walk along the beach and I got to have a roll in something smelly!

OTL was not happy with us for doing that!

Holly was having her 'Morning Workout' by chasing Mr Rabbit and Mr Corvid and as normal, failing to get near enough!

Still Trying!
On the way back home, OTL stopped by the side of the road and jumped out to take a picture of the Linseed flowers. We reckon he should get the correct lens and a tripod, but it's not too bad for a beginner!

Linseed and Rape
The afternoon walk was fun, we went to the Sea Wall near the docks. It's great for running and there are loads of sniffs there that we just don't get on the beach.

Good Running Space!
Both Holly and I got a good roll in some stuff that had a sniff of goose in it!

Rolling in a Sniff!
OTL called us both 'Smelly Nelly's' and threatened us with a bath when we got home!

I went into the water for a 'Deep Paddle' and got a bit smelly on top of the smelly I got from having a roll!

Fresh from a Deep Paddle!
I bet that in the winter time it will be deep mud everywhere down there, so I'm looking forward to that!

The Docks
We got a good look at The Docks on the way back and Holly said that the cranes look like Big Monsters waiting for a meal!

We said 'Hello' to Mr & Mrs Tufted Duck but they didn't say anything, they were too busy quacking to each other to hear us!

Mr & Mrs Tufted Duck
Back home we spent some time in the garden and I was laying on the pond side pretending it was full of water and the sun was shining!

Mind you, the weather man did say that we should be getting some good warm sunny days next week, so claws crossed, we might be able to catch up on our tans!

Bye bye for now, dinner calls!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Swimming Pool or Moon Crater

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back with you again.

Today we have spent with Old Two Legs, re designing the pond.

It all started when we went out for our morning stroll along the beach.

Holly said that the pond should have different layers, like a beach.

Look, Layers!
Then she said it should be like the Swimming Hole we sometimes go to, that has a long sloping bottom and then it goes into mud and stuff!

Then she just happen to mention that it looked like my bottom and that's why I liked it so much!

I told her to get off the beach and say that, and that's when we got into 'Discussions'!

Come up here and say that!
That didn't last long and we were back to looking at the beach again!

Look, slopes!
Back home we had a good look at the hole and then got OTL to dig some more out so that we got several layered sides and a bit deeper to it doesn't freeze in the winter.

OTL said that if we go much deeper we would meet up with the earth's magma and that would keep the pond at boiling point!

Wot? No Magma!
Then Holly said that it looks like a moon crater like the ones on Trev's blog when he takes pictures of the moon!

We might get OTL to have another dig tomorrow, just to slope the sides a bit.

Next week we have the skip arriving, so OTL will have to put all the earth he dug out into the skip, now that will be fun!

Off to dinner now, bye bye until tomorrow!

Birds and a bit of sunshine.

Hi Ho Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here on a bright Friday!

We were up good and early this morning, we woke The Missus up and then tried to wake up Old Two Legs.

TM is no problem but OTL? No way! Talk about snooze champion, he didn't even move when we gave his ear a lick, nor did he move when Holly stood on his back and licked his bald patch!

We went on our morning walk along The Sea Wall, OTL was interested in a Kestrel that was hovering over the path, looking for it's breakfast!

Here Mousy Mousy!
It was zooming up and down the path but we never saw it catch anything!

Do doggy's taste like Mouse?
He looked so sad not catching anything but Holly got a bit worried when he shouted down and asked if we tasted like Mouse!

On the shore we found a huge log that had been floating on the sea and landed up at the high tide mark. It was so heavy we couldn't move it at all!

Big Wooden Pole!
The run down The Forest was super, we went hunting squirrel again but as normal, all we did was see the rotten little things!

Can You See It?
OTL caught sight of a bird dancing about in the trees and he stood for five minutes before identifying it as a Great Tit!

Not The Most Exciting Bird!
Back home for some dinner and then a cuddle with OTL and a snooze before going to bed!

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Sun, then back to normal!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here!

We were out good and early this morning, and it was super sunshine for a while, until the clouds blew in!

This is what we want!
Seems like we are back to normal and the prospect of rain later, YUK!

We met up with Vinny along the path, he doesn't get to meet other dogs very often and when he does, he goes potty!

Wanna Game of Chase?
We had a run around with him and soon he was all puffed out, he is just not a fit as us girls!

On the way back to the car Holly thought she spotted a rabbit and went chasing off after it. I hung back and walked along with Old Two Legs, enjoying the sniffs.

Suddenly the hairs on my tail started to tingle, a sure sign the was a cat close by!

I had a sniff, stood up on my back legs and there, sitting in the grass, getting ready to chase after MY rabbits was this big Ginger Tom!

That was it, no one chases my rabbits without permission from Holly or me, in writing, in triplicate, signed and counter signed!

Off I went like a rocket, off went the cat like a rocket on steroids!

Gerroffamyrabbits!
I woofed for Holly to go around the bushes the other way but she got all confused and ended up chasing me!

The cat got away, but we think we have given him something to think about!

Old Two Legs has been digging again in the hole, going deeper, I reckon soon he will get the tape measure out to see if he has got to the magic 100cm!

This afternoon we have been down The Forest again, searching for the squirrels and interesting sniffs.

I tried hiding in the Bluebells but that didn't work very well.

Me, Hiding!
Then I tried jumping onto the logs and stuff, a sort of 'Log Dance' but still not as fast as those squirrels!

Log Dancing!
OTL went off and found a log of his own but instead of jumping on it, he took a picture of it 'cos it was surrounded by English Bluebells!

English Bluebells.
Back home we watched OTL measure the depth of the hole and he decided it wasn't deep enough yet.

Just how deep is he going to go?

Lamb Hearts and biscuits tonight plus what we can mug off OTL, he's got steak and chips!

We don't care much for the chips but the steak makes our mouth water!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

A Sunny Day in North Kent!

Yo Ho Woofers!

Daisy and Holly here!

What a super sunny day! This is how May should be, sunshine, balmy breezes and loads of rabbits!

We were having a great time on The Sea Wall, loads of sniffs!

Even Old Two Legs was having fun photographing the local bird life!

A male Chaffinch showing its colours!
The Chaffinch looked good with all is colours showing. The Meadow Pipit was singing its head off!

A Happy Meadow Pipit!
Holly was almost in luck, she sneaked down the side of the path and at the last moment rushed down towards the bushes.

Nearly, very nearly!
The afternoon was spent watching OTL working in the garden, digging The Hole!

Poor OTL, his back is hurting, his head is aching and the hole is getting deeper but so slowly!

Getting deeper and bigger!
At least the washing line has been dug up, that is now resting beside the house and OTL is going deeper.

He says that the hole has to be in excess of one metre deep so that the winter time doesn't freeze the water all the way to the bottom. That way, anything that is over wintering in the pond won't get frozen!

All we got to worry about is falling in and getting a bath!

See you tomorrow Woofers!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly
