He Left Us Behind!

Hello Woofers!

A Very Unhappy Daisy & Holly Here!

We got up this morning, all bright and bushy tails, looking forward to a fun day.

The Missus said that she would be taking us out for a walk this morning, now that was a bit strange 'cos she never normally does that!

That was OK, we didn't mind a trip over The Fields, 'cos we don't get there so much nowadays.

So, off we went, sniffing the sniffs and checking the field out for new sniffers!

When we got back home, Holly and I went looking for Old Two Legs to tell him about the sniffs, only to find he wasn't there!

I mean, he'd gone!

He went and left us at home while he went off to the show!

That was it, we showed off, we wouldn't eat our breakfast, (Doggy Scoff), we went straight up to bed and stayed in there all day!

OTL got back about three in the afternoon, soaking wet, chilled and sniffin 'cos of the Hayfever!

Seems like he had seen the weather forecast and decided to go on his own so he could duck and dive about between showers, only they weren't showers, more like monsoon's passing overhead!

He managed a few photos and here is the first.

.........and?
This is an Eagle Owl, the biggest owl in the world, we think. OTL says it is big enough to eat us!

Then he saw the horse jumping which is always fun to watch!

A Flying Horse!
To start off the sun shone for a couple of minutes, so he took another shot!

Coming into land!
Then the heavens opened up and it seemed like the whole sea had gone up into the clouds and then descended on OTL and the horses!

Wet.........innit?
We said we felt sorry for the horses, well the Two Legs can get out of the rain if they wanted but the horses were made to go and jump in the rain!

OTL found an animal that would have been very happy with the rain......................

A Whistling Duck!
OTL said that it didn't whistle while he was there, but it did blow a raspberry!

There was someone that OTL said could keep the rain away, it was a 'One Man Band'!

OTL said that when he was playing, the rain stopped but as soon as he stopped playing, the rain started again!

The Rain Man!
After OTL took this picture, the man stopped playing and went off for a cup of tea and as OTL said.......................that's when the flood started!

We have been promised a trip up there tomorrow 'cos the forecast is for sunshine and clouds, claws crossed!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

We miss out on some Super Sniffs!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again!

Do you ever get one of those days when it starts out looking like it's going to be a great day but then you end up getting everything wrong?

Well we have just had one of those days.

Old Two Legs is a member of some organisation that gives him access to the local Kent County Show where there are loads of animals on show and there are horses and pigs and chickens and loads of stuff and the Sniffs are to die for!

We had planned to go over there after our lunch time walk along The Sea Wall. Well, OTL had been busy all morning and managed to finish all his stuff he had to do and out we went for the walk. It was a short walk 'cos as soon as we had done our business it was straight back to the car and off to the Show Ground.

That was until we heard the local news radio station telling us that cars were being turned away from the car park 'cos there was too much mud!

Wot a cheek! We have got a 4X4 but OTL decided that it would be better if we tried tomorrow or even Sunday when the weather forecast said it would be sunny!

So claws crossed for a little bit of sunshine to dry the car park!

This mornings first walk was fun, Holly and I chased each other all along The Sea Wall, woofing at each other and trying to run the fastest!

Gotcha, Gotcha, Gotcha!
Then we spotted one of those sailing barges and OTL said it reminded him of a song, 'Red Sails in the Sunset'. We had never heard of that song so we reckon if OTL can remember it, it must be very very old!

Red Sails in the Morning!
While he was taking his pictures we sneaked off into the undergrowth and found a Super Sniff and took turns in having a roll, until OTL caught us!

Oooooooooooo!
Back to the car for a wash down with some smelly Baby Wipes!

Around four thirty we bullied OTL into going out again and this time we played on the rocks.

We were getting ready for some mountain climbing when we go on holiday, we had a practise scrambling all over the rocks.

Do we need Crampons here?
OTL just sat there looking at a Royal Navy Ship going up the Thames.

HMS Wotsit
OTL said it was going to be more guards for the Olympics!

Mind you it was a bit boring sitting there waiting for the ship to go past, well, I mean, you see one ship, you have seen them all!

Boring, Bored, Boring, Bored, Boring, Boring, Bored!
Holly didn't say much but she agreed with me.....................................

I'm Bored!
So back to some Heart and Liver for dinner tonight, followed by a cuddle with OTL and some Shortbread!

See you tomorrow, if we can get into the car park!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Back to Work!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here with you again!

Today we have been making up for our day off yesterday.

Work, work, work!

First of all we were doing our 'Guarding' last night, all that marching about the house making sure there was no one creeping into the house while Old Two Legs and The Missus was asleep!

Then there was the checking of OTL's work he has been doing on the computer, making sure he gets all the figures in the correct boxes!

We went out this morning along The Sea Wall and said hello to the Spiky Leaf Sort of Thistle Type of Plant and noted the subtle change in the shape of the new blooms!

A Paint Brush?
Holly says it looks like a paint brush and OTL said it reminds him of a shaving brush, which had us puzzled 'cos we don't understand how you can have a shave with a brush!

There was Mr and Mrs Corvid looking for breakfast and we woofed 'Good Morning' but they seemed too busy for a chat!

Busy, Busy!
I found an interesting sniff from one of the dogs we sometimes meet but I just could not work out how it got so far up the grass, I mean, it was a bit of a stretch for me just to sniff, never mind weeing that high!

How'd he get it right up here?

Then OTL spotted some insects and started taking photos again. The insects were rather put out as they think he is one of the Paparazzi the way he keep taking their picture!

Watch out! The Paparazzi are back!
Back home Holly spent the morning by the side of the pond, she said she was practising for our Summer Holiday where she was going to be The Poolside Babe!

Poolside Babe!
Lunchtime, we went for a walk down to the New Park again. As soon as OTL let us off the lead I was steaming along the path that led to the Swimming Hole!

A Speck in the distance!
There were loads of dogs down there and although I had a bit of a 'Deep Paddle', OTL didn't throw the ball out for me 'cos he said that he would have trouble getting it off the other dogs!

I suppose he was right but at least I did get a dip!

Busy!
We carried on our walk and ended up in the Tee Pee. Holly spotted a couple of very big Alsatian dogs walking our way and she said we should wait until they got closer then we could surprise them with our woofing.

Surprise Surprise!
As I said.........................Your on your own Sister!

Back home we had Lambs Heart and Liver for breakfast and I had left some in my bowl, so it was a quick nibble to finish it off before mugging OTL for some of his dinner!

You see, we are very helpful when it comes to food!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

A Funny Old Day!

Hi Ho Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here.

Today has been strange, well, sort of, 'Not Our Day'.

Let me explain.

We went out for our normal stroll along The Sea Wall and Old Two Legs didn't even take his camera!

Holly said that he wasn't feeling very well and couldn't even be bothered with taking photos of us!

Now that is bad!

We got home and were bundled into the Big Car, together with his camera box and some other bits.

Off we went and I must admit, we both fell asleep until we got close to Auntie Zoe's place.

We knew it was close 'cos they got a funny sniff of Posh Squirrels as you get close!

Well, we got locked into the kitchen with just a baby gate to keep us in. We said 'Hello to to The Lads and Megan, who we had not met before. She smelt of milk and wee and didn't say much but she is very small and young as well, so we let her off this time!

She will get better once she can sit up on her own!

OTL spent all the time taking photos of Zoe & Paul and The Lads & Megan!

We were almost ignored all day, except when The Missus took us out for a walk or when we got fed!

Still, we are back home now and after a cuddle with OTL and a late night chew of our Rawhide chews, were just about ready for bed!

Bye bye for now and see you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

P.S.  Don't tell Zoe, but we have sneaked a preview of a couple of the pictures, what do you think?

Splashing about!

Hi Ho Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again!

It started out looking a bit gloomy today, you know, all clouds and no sun shine.

We went out with Old Two Legs for our walk along The Sea Wall and Holly suddenly stopped and asked, 'Can there be two of me?' OTL started on about a parallel universe and a doppelgänger, which we didn't understand at all. 'Well' said Holly, 'It's just that I can sniff me here and we have only just arrived, so how can I be here before I got here, if you know what I mean?'

OTL laughed and said, 'Don't you remember, that's where you had a pee yesterday!'

Here, I can sniff Me!!!
Oh yes says Holly, I'd forgotten that wee!

All of a sudden we were overtaken by a young Staffy, all of four months old, 'Hello Ladies' he said, 'My name is Diesel and I'm having a super time!'

This is a Super Walk!
We had a little chase and a sniff before he got called away by his owners and we went back to hunting Rabbits!

We went with OTL to the carriers after lunch and then off to the New Park again. Now, the last time we were here, OTL led us away from the swimming hole, well, I was not going to have that this time! Off I went, well ahead of OTL and Holly and before long I landed at The Swimming Hole!

Holly arrived a little later, then OTL. By then, Holly and me were having a bit of a paddle.

Don't go too far, it gets deep out there!

OTL got the ball out and tossed it into the water for us to get, well me really 'cos Holly doesn't do swimming or getting any deeper than her knees!

Well, I still think you are Potty!
I was getting all brave and even had my back paws off the bottom and swimming on my front paws!

Look! Back legs up!
I was getting all big and brave, I was even rushing into the water and making a big splash as I was chasing the ball when OTL tossed it into the water!

Geronimo!!!!
What I didn't see was the two big dogs that wanted to play with my ball, there I was waiting for the wind to blow the ball back towards me when there was an almighty great splash and the ball and me disappeared in the foam!

What the..............................!
They were taking turns to jump off the bridge to get the ball that OTL threw for them and all he would say was ....'Look! That's how to do it!'

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!
As Holly said, 'If he wants to make a splash, he can jump in himself!'

After a while the other dogs went off. It was just after OTL put the wet ball into his pocket and told the two dogs that it had 'Gone!'

Aw! I know you got it!
I had a good time running into the water and swimming out to get the ball but I did keep some paws on the bottom!

Got It!!
Then I'd bring it back and put it down for OTL to throw again!

Throw it again!
There was one time when he threw it out and as normal, it was too far for me, when this old Labrador paddled in and said 'I'll get it for you youngster!', I didn't have the heart to say that it would come back to me as the wind blew!

I'll get it for you!
OTL took us for a walk through the grass and threw the ball for me to chase, just to try to get me dried off, but it didn't work, I was still all damp by the time we got to the car park. We think it must be something to do with the rain that fell on us as we ran back to the car!

Back home for a good rub down with our towel and  then a chance to mug OTL for some of his dinner.

Now we are about to settle down to a cuddle and a good chew of our Chicken and Rice Chew!

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

We love Mondays!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again!

We love Mondays, everyone goes off to work and we get loads more space on The Sea Wall and in the parks!

Today we went down for our normal walk along The Sea Wall and we only saw four dogs and that was only for a moment or two, a quick woof and a sniff and they were gone!

Hey Girl, get a sniff of this!
That was OK with us, we were more interested in Rabbit Sniffin!

Old Two Legs was busy trying to photograph the insects again and he even had a bash at a Meadow Brown that insisting on landing on the Sea Wall!

I'm a Sea Butterfly really!
It was pretty daft, I mean, there are no flowers on the Sea Wall for it to feed on!

Can you see me?
On top of that, it did sort of stand out against the concrete!

It was fun when OTL started to take pictures of the insects, you could hear them calling  'He's here again!'

You Again!
Lunch time OTL took us out in the big car, he had some stuff to deliver and afterwards we went to the New Park!

It was great, OTL threw the ball for me and I lost it, again!

We met up with a few dogs we had met before.

I know you!
OTL was going potty with the insects and found some Green Bugs running around a bloom!

I'm catching you!
Then he saw a Hover Fly having a rest between blooms!

Having a rest!
Holly was keeping a close look out for rabbits and kept jumping up on every seat to get a better view!

I think I see a Rabbit!
Although she said she saw them, she never actually got around to chasing one that I could see!

However, we did see a Kestrel sitting on the path and OTL got a couple of shots.

Kestrel having a rest on the path.
Before he could get any closer, Holly gave the 'Charge!' command and we both went steaming after the bird!

The Chase!
Trouble was, we found out it's quicker than a Rabbit!

As we headed back to the car, we told OTL he couldn't hang about taking pictures of more insects 'cos we were thirsty and also wanted a sleep 'cos we were tired!

It was a good job he had water and  our travelling bowl in the car!

Back home to a snooze and a chance to mug OTL for some of his dinner, wonder what it is tonight?

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Dancing between the showers!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again!

It has been a day of showers and cloud!

We were out this morning walking along The Sea Wall and although it wasn't raining it was getting close!

Old Two Legs was waving the camera about and pointed out that is was very clear weather conditions and he could see the wind turbines and the Thames Forts in the distance!

We can see for miles!
You know, it was that damp, OTL started taking pictures of the rain drops!

Rain Drops
Now that has just got to be desperation creeping in!

Back home we had a snooze after breakfast then Holly decided that we were being attacked by puppy eating monsters, so she and I raced around the garden woofing and snarling and growling until Holly gave the 'All Clear'!

The F1 racing was good, except that Jenson or Lewis didn't win but it was a good race and no rain!

The lunch time walk was fun, we jumped from the car and went chasing after the family of rabbits that live close to the car park. We chased them all through the bushes and then the undergrowth, it was a bit of bad luck that I missed getting one that had a bad leg and was limping towards the rabbit hole and fell in just as I arrived, running at 100mph!

OTL was busy photographing a couple of bugs on the Spiky Leaf Sort of Thistle Type of Plant.

Bugs on the Spiky Leaf Sort of Thistle Type of Plant!
Holly started to bark, then she went into 'Serious Bark' then into 'I am really going to get upset Bark', so, OTL had to give up with the bugs and find out what she was doing.

There she was, standing on the side of The Sea Wall, woofing at a couple of Two Legs who were sitting on the wall preventing her from walking along the wall as she normally does!

Woof, WOof, WOOf, WOOF!

OTL shouted 'Enough', which is the sign that he wants us to stop woofing, Holly was just about to woof again but she turned her head towards OTL, took one step forward........and fell off The Sea Wall onto the beach!

Everyone laughed, except Holly, who looked most put out!

A bit further along the beach we saw another Two Legs sitting on the beach taking pictures of the sea, nothing else, just the sea, and he was playing with glass filters, like wot OTL does when he wants to get all 'Posh'.

Smile!
Holly didn't woof at him 'cos the sea was close and she didn't want to fall in there!

Then it was back to the insects for OTL, the wind was blowing and the flowers were waving about all over the place, so the bugs had to hang on tightly!

Wot you doing Mr?
OTL had the same problem with a fly who was wandering around a flower sneezing, except the fly was trying to eat the nectar but the pollen kept of getting up his nose, so he was sneezing!

OTL asked if he could hang about while he took a photo but the fly seemed more interested in trying to find his hanky so he could blow his nose!

WhaaaaaaaChoooooooo!
Back home before it rained again and settle down to a snooze before mugging OTL for some of his dinner!

Next week it is going to be busy, OTL has got a load to do, AND we are off to the Kent County Show on Friday!

Loads of sniffs there!

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly
