OTL has been crying again!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy and Holly back again!

Wot a start to the weekend!

The Missus went off early this morning with all her card making stuff. To day is the Allhallows Crop! So, today it is all gas and glitter in the village hall!

We went out with Old Two Legs for our walk along The Sea Wall, as we were walking along there came a couple of Staffy sort of dogs who wanted a game. They were a bit too big for me and a bit boisterous for Holly, so we woofed at them and I jumped up onto OTL's shoulder while OTL grabbed both dogs until the owner arrived to put them on their leads!

That sorted them out!

Holly is still not right concerning her upset tummy, so OTL telephoned the vet for an appointment and managed to get an appointment in one hours time.

That gave us enough time to get back home and give her butt a good wash!

We arrived at the vet's and we were weighed then sat down to await the vet. That was until a little Westie came through the door and decided to have a game with Holly.

All hell broke loose and it was mass of tails and teeth for a moment or two!

Then the vet called out our name and we went in the 'Consulting Room'.

I didn't like it in there, too many painful memories, but this time it was Holly on the table, push, poke, listen to your heart and then stick a thermometer up her............well, you get the idea!

In the end it was decided that there was nothing seriously wrong, just some bug she had picked up from a sniff or something she had eaten and knowing Holly, that could be anything!

We got some tablets to give her and some yucky stuff OTL has to squirt under her tongue  twice a day!

Then it was out to the car to escape but not until OTL was reduced to tears again when he got the bill!

He is a bit of a wimp sometimes when it come to our vet bills!

I mean, we're worth every penny!

OTL said he wouldn't mind if it were pennies but all he sees is pound signs on the bill!

Lunchtime we were down on The Sea Wall again, Holly didn't really feel like a long run in The New Park or Squirrel Chasing in The Forest, so it was the beach again!

The sun was out and OTL said that this is what July should really be like!
How July should be!
Holly spotted a family on the beach and she reckons that as there were children, there would be Ice Creams!

Got an Ice Cream I can Lick?
Trouble was, they had licked the ice cream until it had gone! Holly was not happy!

We met that big dog we saw the other day, the one that wouldn't let us play with his ball. This time he didn't have the ball, he said he had lost it and was very sad, in fact, he was feeling distraught!

Seen my ball?
Holly said he was just a big baby, yer, but he still is BIG!

Back home again for a drink out of the pond, it tastes nice! Holly had a nibble at my left over chicken. It was good to see she was interested in eating again, even if the vet said we should starve her today.

It wasn't much chicken, just a couple of little bits left over!

Holly said she is looking forward to tomorrow 'cos that means she can have some grub!

See you tomorrow and it's going to get hotter, trust us to know!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly (The Grumbly Tum!)

Snoozy Day today!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here with you again.

Holly has got an upset tummy, we can tell that 'cos she has been to poo four times today and she has been eating grass.

Old Two Legs has had to wash her backside after every walk and as Holly says, if he keeps on washing her backside it will either shrink or the colours will fade!

On our run down on The Sea Wall we came across a slug but this one was a Brown Slug.

Normally we see the Black Slug, so a brown one is a little unusual!

Arion rufus
OTL said that they are sometime thought of as being the same family as the Black Slug and the colour varies but other 'Experts' say that the Brown Slug should be considered as a separate species and called Arion rufus!

Holly and I sat there listening to OTL pretending we were seriously interested and trying not to fall asleep. Then Holly spoilt it all by announcing that she wanted another poo and dived off into the grass with OTL chasing after her with a Poo Bag!

Towards the end of our walk a Labrador we know came crashing through the grass to say 'Hello'

'Look' said Holly 'A Labrador Rufus!'

At that point even OTL started to laugh!

A Non Black Labrador Rufus!
We spent most of the day snoozing either in the office with OTL or down stairs while The Missus was watching the F1 practice sessions, it's easy to fall asleep when they are racing around, I'm sure it is the sound of the engines as they buzz around the track, a sort of lullaby in Horse Power!

Tomorrow TM is off to her 'Crop' in the village hall, so with a bit of luck, we may get an adventure with OTL, providing the sun is shining!

See you tomorrow!

Daisy & Holly

Rabbits R Us!........ Red Tailed Bumblebee is OTL!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here!

Now, just to prove that we are 'Serious Rabbit Hunters', here is a picture of us cornering a rabbit this morning!

Gotcha!
It was Holly that spotted it first and chased it into the long grass, then I arrived and chased it back again, then Holly did her 'Rabbit Eating Face' and showed the rabbit her teeth!

I thought that was a good idea, so I did my 'Rabbit Eating Face' and did my 'Super Growl'!

The rabbit went 'Squeeeeeeek' which is rabbit for 'Don't eat me please!'

It was at that moment Old Two Legs arrived and told us not to frighten the rabbit and pulled us back by our collars.

The rabbit, spotting a chance of escape, shot off into the brambles!

Then, a couple of moments later, from inside the brambles, we heard someone blow a 'Big Raspberry' and a rabbit called out........Missed Me, Nah, Nahneey, Nah-Nah!

Holly said that next time we are going to bite the rabbits tail and that will sort him out!

OTL then went off trying to catch a Dragon fly that was flying about the bushes, no chance!

He did get a picture of a load of bugs on one plant. We don't know why there was so many, I mean, it didn't smell that interesting when we had a sniff!

A Bug Bean Feast!
Back home for a brush and some breakfast, yes, it was Doggy Scoff, but a new sort. It seems that OTL is trying to find us some scoff that is acceptable for when The Missus doesn't cook chicken or lambs heart or liver or beef off cuts from OTL's Curry Stash!

They never learn, We don't like manufactured Doggy Scoff!

Lunch time we went down to the beach again and this time, while Holly was having a sniff at something on The Sea Wall, I was having a sunbathe! Well, you got to top up your tan when you can, I mean, what with all this rain we have been having lately you have to grab every chance!

Got any Factor 30+?
Holly said she doesn't do sun bathing as it will give you spots on your belly!

I don't want spots on my belly!
OTL was too busy trying to photograph a Red Tailed Bumblebee that had lost two of it's wings and had to crawl around from flower to flower!

It's hard with two wings missing!
OTL says that it might have got into a fight or was attacked by a Dragon Fly, whatever got it like that didn't get it all it's own way as that bee must have put up a good fight!

OK, off to mug OTL for some dinner and then some shortbread!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Sandwiches, Big Dogs and a Swim!

Hi Ho Woofers!

It's us back again, Daisy & Holly!

Our walk along The Sea Wall was fun, we chased some rabbits then raced after Old Two Legs who had walked off and was out of sight!

I chased after him and then Holly suddenly noticed she was on her own, so, in a terrible rush she came flying around the corner calling me!

Daisy..................Where is he?
OTL and I had good laugh about that!

Holly raced ahead and came across a fisherman, so as you would guess, she asked if he had any sandwiches left!

Got any sandwiches Mister?
That was no good, he had got them locked up in his fishing equipment box! So we left him alone and met up with an old Labrador who has fallen in love with OTL!

He told us about some other fishermen a bit further on who had their sandwiches on the bench beside them!

Hello OTL!
Off we went and found these other fishermen but they said they were keeping their sandwiches for lunch time!

Go on, I can sniff them!
As hard as Holly tried, they wouldn't give her a sandwich, she said that they were beef and mustard as well!

Holly was not that impressed with the fishermen so, when she met a new visitor to The Sea Wall, her manners were not up to normal.

He came wandering up and said 'Hello', Holly muttered something about 'Hello Yourself!'
then she looked up.

It was a dog the size of a horse! It had a ball in his mouth and you couldn't even see it!

No, it's My Ball!
He wouldn't play games, then he wouldn't let us play with his ball and after all that, he walked off without saying 'Good Bye!'!

We went out again later and we told OTL we wanted to go to the New Park!

As soon as we got out of the car, it was straight down to the swimming hole!

I was in up to my neck in no time at all!

Here I come!
OTL threw the ball in and the wind blew it back if it went in too far!

I did enjoy making Big Splashes!

Splash, Splash, Splash!
I was having a Ball of a time! I even tried a little underwater swimming as well!

Bubble, Bubble, Bubble!
Holly wanted to join in but didn't want to get her tummy wet!

Don't splash me!
She kept on calling out for me not to splash her, she is a wimp sometimes!

Well, that's it for today, we are expecting the weather to pick up soon and loads of sunshine to descend upon our heads!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

We spot a Bug Eater!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here with you again!

We had a busy night last night, there were burglars to chase away, pesky cats to scare off and something strange to woof off out of the back garden!

It was such a busy night that The Missus over slept and didn't get up until late and one of us got caught short and had a wee on the carpet!

Something we haven't done for years!

No names, no Pack Drill!

Out with Old Two Legs first thing, we came across a Dragonfly, OTL thinks it is a male Southern Hawker, it was just sitting there enjoying the sunshine!

Just Resting!
Then OTL had a closer look at him and found out that it was chomping away on a bug it had caught!

Dragonfly Breakfast!
Not the sort of breakfast we had planned!

Then, out on the mud, we spotted a Curlew enjoying the sunshine and looking for his breakfast.

Curlew in Silhouette.
As the sun was behind it, the bird was in silhouette, so, this one is for Trevor 'cos he likes silhouettes and reflections.

So this is a Curlew, reflecting on his breakfast, in silhouette!

We got back and TM had cooked some lambs hearts and liver for us, super super scoff!

The morning was spent snoozing away with very full tum-tums!

Our lunch time run was along The Sea Wall again but this time we didn't see any insects getting eaten!

Instead we saw some fishermen trying to teach worms to swim and a family out for a fishing trip!

Wonder if they got any sandwiches?
There was a boat charging around the Medway, all dark grey and 'Official' looking. OTL said it was the Boarder Agency again doing their 'Customs Thing'.

Still, it looked impressive to us! We think it is called 'The Vigilant', well, that's what it had on the back!

HMS Vigilant
When we got back OTL was on his knees collecting some rose petals that had fallen into the pond when he suddenly stopped, jumped up, ran back indoors and collected his camera!

Out he went and started taking pictures of an insect that was tearing around all over the pond.

Seems like this is out first Water Boatman or Pond Skater!

Pond Skater!
So, our wildlife is growing! We have now got a Butt Breathing Beetle, Mosquito Larvae and now an insect that runs on water!

OTL expects to see a Damsel fly next then with some luck, a Dragonfly!

We haven't included the birds that come down for a drink and a bath nor Holly and me who like to have a drink from the pond!

OTL had a panic phone call from one of his customers, so that meant we got a third walk today!

We ended up at the Riverside Park where we met up with a young Schnauzer who was out walking with her mother, we said 'Hello' and exchanged some info on sniffs along the path.

Sniffs, yes please!
Back home we got tucked into another bowl of lambs heart, well, half a heart each, but it did taste good!

Now we are going to have cuddle with OTL 'cos he gets his shortbread out after eight in the evening, something about the sun and yards of arm or something like that!

Bye for now, see you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

We escape being kidnapped, just!

Hi Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy & Holly!

just to let you know, after yesterdays running around the show and not having our day time snooze breaks, we were very tired little dogs last night.

We slept all the way through the night, except for one alarm when we heard a noise out side and told whoever it was to 'Woof Off'.

You know, even The Missus joined in the Woofin' bit!

Our walk along The Sea Wall was without any excitement, except for the rabbit chasing and posing for Old Two Legs so he could get an Ahhhhha! picture of us both.

Trouble was, he forgot to down load them to the computer and deleted them from the camera before he realised what he was doing!

Wot! a Plonker!

Lunch time he tried to make up for it and took some more, but Holly and I were just not in the mood to pose, so.........................

No!
OTL got fed up in the end and chased us along the Sea Wall threatening to unscrew our tails so we could never be happy again!

This afternoon we were out delivering stuff and secretly we were expecting to go down the New Park but it got a bit late so we gave up looking for the turn off the motorway.

Instead, we ended up at the Doggy Shop!

I'll tell you, that place has sniffs to die for! First of all there is the Rabbits and Gerbils and other furry animals just inside the door.

Holly and I sit there pretending we are ordering up our dinner!

Then down the shop we go, heading for possibly the best spot in the whole shop.

The Doggy Treats section!

While OTL was getting some chews and chicken strips, we were sniffin the roast Pigs Ears and then the Beef Jerky and the beef bones and the pigs ears and the rawhide chews and the biscuits filled with tasty stuff and the pigs ears!

There was a young female two legs filling up the shelf who took a fancy to us and gave us both a tickle behind the ear. She then offered us a bit of stuff from one of the 'Help Yourself' buckets.

We had a sniff and decided that was not for us, so, she got a couple of other things out of a bucket and offered those to us, we didn't fancy them either!

We also remembered what OTL had told us, 'Never to accept nibbles from Strangers''cos we might get kidnapped!

So we didn't have anything from her and instead followed OTL back towards the checkout.

There was something he had put in the basket for us that we could smell even if it was wrapped in plastic!

Back to the car we both stuck our noses into the plastic bag and tried to get the pack out, BBQ Sausages!

We just love them!

OTL opened one pack and got a sausage out, broke it in half and gave one half to Holly who gobbled it down in no time whatsoever.

I am more of a refined doggy, first I sniff the sausage, then I lick the end that was open, then I nibbled a little off the end while OTL held the sausage, then, after enjoying the subtle flavours, I bit a lump off the end!

Holly was going potty trying to take the rest of my sausage away from OTL but he held on to it until I was ready for another nibble, which I had, and so it went on until the sausage had gone!

With a bit of luck we may get another sausage tonight, well we only have 'Doggy Scoff' in our bowls and to be honest, it is a 'Last Resort' food when all other sources have gone!

OK, we are off to mug OTL for some of his 'Meat Balls' made fresh today by TM!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Sniffs Galore, Marching Band and a Grumpy Owl!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here with you again.

What a day it has been!

We were up good and early, all ready for our day at the Kent County Show. Old Two Legs had his camera gear and The Missus got her big walking boots from out of storage!

OTL said it may be a bit muddy so her high heel shoes were maybe not the right sort of shoes for the show!

We went there on the motorway and we kept seeing signs saying that the parking was closed! We asked OTL if that means we can't go to the show? No, no OTL said, 'I'm a Member and if needed, they will carry us and the car into the car park, wash the car and wipe our boots! That's what membership brings!'

Well, we got into the car park, (Members Car Park), sloshed through the mud and puddles and parked up close to the entrance to the show, good Old Two Legs!

Well we first went to have a look at the Eagle Owl that OTL had seen before and there is was sitting on its perch. Trouble was, as soon as it saw us it ruffled up his feathers to make him look all big and fierce, just to scare us off!

It almost worked!

Gerroff outta here!
Holly said that she could sort him out on her own!

Then, getting a bit bored with trying to find out if the Owl tasted like chicken, we went to watch the Terrier Racing!

Now, this is my sort of event!

Gottcha!
Now, the idea of this is to chase a thing that looks like a rat or rabbit or squirrel type of thing on a rope.

You started off in a box and the door is opened and they all rush down the field trying to catch the thing.

It's a bit rough and there were several fights between chasers but it was good fun to watch.

Foul!!!!!!
There was a Doggy jump and Swim stand where dogs rush up a path and jump off into the water while chasing a ball.

Holly said I should have a go seeing how I loved water but after a while watching I decide that it was not really my thing!

Super Dog!
There were several dog doing jumps, some sort of competition, it was fun to watch but we decided to leave it to the show offs!

Where's me ball?
In another arena we watched a demonstration of 'Duck Herding', Holly was getting all excited saying that they were Duck Burgers!

Duck Burgers!
Watching all this food running about in front of us we decided that it was time for lunch!

Lunch Time Missus?
Off we went and shared a Venison Burger between Holly and me but OTL and The Missus had one each!

It was fun watching the Two Legs walking through all the mud and puddles to get to the shows!

Quaggy or Wot!
We heard a Marching Band, so went to have a look and there marching along and playing their instruments came the 24th Invicta Rifles puffin and blowin!

Left, Right, Left, Right, Left, Right, Left, Right, Left, Right, Left, Right!

Marching and Puffin!
Holly fell in love with the one in front who carried a big stick!

Holly's Favourite!
We headed back to the car and kept to the hard path but where people had been walking in the mud and of course it was getting more and more quaggy the more they used it!

Quaggy!
We got home all worn out and ready for a snooze before bed!

Bye bye for now and see you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

He Left Us Behind!

Hello Woofers!

A Very Unhappy Daisy & Holly Here!

We got up this morning, all bright and bushy tails, looking forward to a fun day.

The Missus said that she would be taking us out for a walk this morning, now that was a bit strange 'cos she never normally does that!

That was OK, we didn't mind a trip over The Fields, 'cos we don't get there so much nowadays.

So, off we went, sniffing the sniffs and checking the field out for new sniffers!

When we got back home, Holly and I went looking for Old Two Legs to tell him about the sniffs, only to find he wasn't there!

I mean, he'd gone!

He went and left us at home while he went off to the show!

That was it, we showed off, we wouldn't eat our breakfast, (Doggy Scoff), we went straight up to bed and stayed in there all day!

OTL got back about three in the afternoon, soaking wet, chilled and sniffin 'cos of the Hayfever!

Seems like he had seen the weather forecast and decided to go on his own so he could duck and dive about between showers, only they weren't showers, more like monsoon's passing overhead!

He managed a few photos and here is the first.

.........and?
This is an Eagle Owl, the biggest owl in the world, we think. OTL says it is big enough to eat us!

Then he saw the horse jumping which is always fun to watch!

A Flying Horse!
To start off the sun shone for a couple of minutes, so he took another shot!

Coming into land!
Then the heavens opened up and it seemed like the whole sea had gone up into the clouds and then descended on OTL and the horses!

Wet.........innit?
We said we felt sorry for the horses, well the Two Legs can get out of the rain if they wanted but the horses were made to go and jump in the rain!

OTL found an animal that would have been very happy with the rain......................

A Whistling Duck!
OTL said that it didn't whistle while he was there, but it did blow a raspberry!

There was someone that OTL said could keep the rain away, it was a 'One Man Band'!

OTL said that when he was playing, the rain stopped but as soon as he stopped playing, the rain started again!

The Rain Man!
After OTL took this picture, the man stopped playing and went off for a cup of tea and as OTL said.......................that's when the flood started!

We have been promised a trip up there tomorrow 'cos the forecast is for sunshine and clouds, claws crossed!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

We miss out on some Super Sniffs!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again!

Do you ever get one of those days when it starts out looking like it's going to be a great day but then you end up getting everything wrong?

Well we have just had one of those days.

Old Two Legs is a member of some organisation that gives him access to the local Kent County Show where there are loads of animals on show and there are horses and pigs and chickens and loads of stuff and the Sniffs are to die for!

We had planned to go over there after our lunch time walk along The Sea Wall. Well, OTL had been busy all morning and managed to finish all his stuff he had to do and out we went for the walk. It was a short walk 'cos as soon as we had done our business it was straight back to the car and off to the Show Ground.

That was until we heard the local news radio station telling us that cars were being turned away from the car park 'cos there was too much mud!

Wot a cheek! We have got a 4X4 but OTL decided that it would be better if we tried tomorrow or even Sunday when the weather forecast said it would be sunny!

So claws crossed for a little bit of sunshine to dry the car park!

This mornings first walk was fun, Holly and I chased each other all along The Sea Wall, woofing at each other and trying to run the fastest!

Gotcha, Gotcha, Gotcha!
Then we spotted one of those sailing barges and OTL said it reminded him of a song, 'Red Sails in the Sunset'. We had never heard of that song so we reckon if OTL can remember it, it must be very very old!

Red Sails in the Morning!
While he was taking his pictures we sneaked off into the undergrowth and found a Super Sniff and took turns in having a roll, until OTL caught us!

Oooooooooooo!
Back to the car for a wash down with some smelly Baby Wipes!

Around four thirty we bullied OTL into going out again and this time we played on the rocks.

We were getting ready for some mountain climbing when we go on holiday, we had a practise scrambling all over the rocks.

Do we need Crampons here?
OTL just sat there looking at a Royal Navy Ship going up the Thames.

HMS Wotsit
OTL said it was going to be more guards for the Olympics!

Mind you it was a bit boring sitting there waiting for the ship to go past, well, I mean, you see one ship, you have seen them all!

Boring, Bored, Boring, Bored, Boring, Boring, Bored!
Holly didn't say much but she agreed with me.....................................

I'm Bored!
So back to some Heart and Liver for dinner tonight, followed by a cuddle with OTL and some Shortbread!

See you tomorrow, if we can get into the car park!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly
