Sneaky, Sneaky and Sneaky!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy & Holly back again!

It's funny what a nights sleep will do. We went to bed last night and it was still raining, not much but still dribbling down, this morning, Sunshine!

It looks like we are set for a couple of days of warm weather and balmy sky's!

So, we plan to go down to Dungeness and along the coast. OTL wants to wave his camera about and we want a run on the big sandy beach!

This morning we walked along The Sea Wall and enjoyed 'Sniffin the Sniffs' on the beach.

Just Sniffin the Sniffs!
We came across the fishermen who are normally there catching their dinner, but today, the had caught nothing!

One of them started to play a trick on Holly. She did her 'Got and Food Mister?' trick and one of them said 'Yes!'

'Oooo!' says Holly, licking her chops! Then he opened a plastic box, the sort you might keep sandwiches in!

Yes
He put his hand inside and brought out.............A Lead Weight!

Chew on that!

Sneaky or Wot!

Holly was right Miffed, she was all for peeing into his tackle box or having a chew of his boot laces, but in the end she just flicked her tail and walked away!

Now, when a dog flicks it's tail at you, that is the biggest insult you can get, it sort of translates into ' You're not worth letting sniff under my Tail!'

Back home to a brush and a snooze, after breakfast!

We do love our morning snooze, in fact Holly has the best snooze of the day in the mornings!

There are times when she is so into her snooze it takes all OTL's sneakiness to get he to get up and have here lead put on!

Snoozing Holly.
Holly hears OTL call out 'Walkies!' but doesn't move a claw. So, OTL comes in and tickles her tummy and says 'Walkies!'

Holly doesn't move a claw.

So, OTL leaves Holly and comes back out to me standing by the door and shouts out 'RABBITS!'

Holly comes flying off the sofa and tears around the corner, all Teeth and Tail, ready to chase a rabbit.

'Hello' says OTL, 'Fancy a Walk while your up?'

Now that's Sneaky!

We had a super walk at lunch time and Both Holly and I had a 'Practice Dig' at a hole, just sort of getting ready for Saturday when we expect to get onto that big sandy beach and dig 'Enormous Holes!

Just a little practice!

As we headed back to the car, we saw a very big and hairy looking Alsatian dog ahead of us. It was big and black and hairy and not the sort of friendly dog we expect to meet on our walk!

What are we going to do? Holly says that we should bluff the dog, so, we march along, just in front of OTL, and do the 'Throat Growl' which is not so much a challenge, more of a 'Stay Away if You Know What's Good for You!'

OK, Big and Bold !
'Big and Bold' says Holly and you know, it worked! The Alsatian glanced at us and then kept his nose to the ground and walked past!

'OK', says Holly 'Who's the Sneaky ones now?'

Back home for a snooze before dinner and then maybe a game of ball with OTL!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Too Much Wet!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here!

What a Yucky day it has been. We have been looking out of the window getting ready for a run around the garden but every time we look out, it's raining!

Our walks have been timed to be in between the rain showers instead of when we normally go out!

Mind you, it does let us show off our new rain coats.

Here is me looking terribly smart and doing the 'Puppy Pose' to accentuate the fine lines of my super slim figure!

Daisy looking Good!
Holly did a bit of posing for Old Two Legs and said that she looked Classy and Sophisticated in her coat!

Classy or Wot?

In the end we decided that we were both Sophisticated Sisters!

Sophisticated!

OTL was off trying to photograph rain drops, like, there wasn't enough of them all over the place already!

Rain Drops keep falling on my Leaf!
We spotted a Black Cap in the bushes but the bird was too far away to get a clear shot, so you will have to put up with this wobbly one!

Black Cap.

We spotted Mr Corvid looking for a meal, he said he fancied a bit of Sushi but the gulls must have had it all!

Still looking for Sushi!
We decided that OTL should try some 'Fashion Shots' of us in our coats and we wanted a 'Classic Look', so here is what we got!

First of all there is Holly.

Cool Holly!

 And Me!

Darling Daisy!
Now OTL said that he could do Sepia but then remembered that the tools for doing that were on his laptop, and we know where that is at the moment don't we!

Every time we look out of the window it is raining and every time we have a snooze, the sun comes out!

Not to worry, we are looking forward to a day out on Saturday with OTL and we have been promised sun shine for that!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly (Looking Good, no matter what the weather!)

OTL is not a Happy Puppy!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again!

Oh Woe and Doom!

OTL is not in a good mood!

Last night his new super duper laptop that is supposed to be the dogs Doo Dars went into terminal decline! It is less than a year old and a message flashed up on the screen.....'Your Hard Drive is About to FAIL!'

Several phone calls and a visit to the local Computer Super Store means that Old Two Legs is without his computer and all the photo processing software!

So now he is reduced to taking photos using JPEG files!

This is one he took of Holly last night.

Holly and her Chew!
OK, it was done without any flash and at ISO6400 1/15 sec at F5.3 but it is nowhere near the standard he normally produces!

Shame Innit?

Now he has got to live in the real world!

This morning we were up good and early, the rain is still pouring down and really, we didn't want to go out for a walk, even if we were walking around with our legs crossed!

In the end we had to go and it rained all the way there but stopped as we got out of the car and the sun shone!

After our mooch around I suggested a running race along The Sea Wall and we would leave OTL behind!

Look, I said, here is the starting line!

Start Here!
Off we went like the wind, I was in the lead but Holly was gaining on the bends!

Then, all of a sudden, Holly stops and says 'WOW! Just get a load of this sniff!'

WOW!

Well, that was it, I skidded to a halt and ran back to where Holly was sniffing. Unknown to me, Holly sneaked off while I was sniffing and crossed the finishing line!

Sneaky or Wot!

Holly's The Winner!
OTL spotted a big cloud heading our way, so we didn't hang about too long and on top of that we left home with the sniff of lambs heart being cooked for our breakfast!

Yes, interesting, but not as good as Lambs Heart!
Lunch time came and OTL took us down the New Park and we tried the 'WOW Look At This' trick on OTL.

WOW! OTL Look!
Trouble was, he wasn't interested and said he had seen that trick this morning!

We carried on but half way around the walk, it started to rain, again, so, back to the car and sit there until the rain stopped.

OTL put our coats on and tried to get us out in the park again but we had just about finished with walking in the wet grass and decided to go back to the car!

On the way we met a young pup who was all excited about walking in the wet grass but we made our excuses and left him to get on with it!

Nah! Your on your own young lad!
Back home, after a rub down we spent some time catching up on our snoozing in the day beds.

Not sure what OTL has for dinner tonight but Holly and I will be getting a bit, that's for sure!

We have looked at the forecast for the rest of the week and it looks like Friday the sun comes back and stays until Monday, that's when the rain returns!

Claws crossed, if it in sunny we may get a trip out 'cos we haven't been out on an adventure for some time!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Holly has a Good Idea!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back with you on a very wet and damp Monday!

We were hoping for some sun shine today but instead we get the 'Orange Alert' from the Environment Agency!

Not too sure what it means but we think it must be something to do with the rain!

This morning we were out good and early for our run along The Sea Wall. When we left home it wasn't raining, on the road to The Sea Wall, it started to rain, but when we got there, there was no rain!

Off we went at a steady trot to do our business and sniff the sniffs!

First thing we found was a slug doing a dash between hiding places, it kept saying 'Don't stop me, I'm on a Mission!'

On a Mission?
Looking over towards Sheerness we could see the sun beams trying to poke through the clouds. Not the best sight we have seen but a sure sign that Autumn is on it's way, you know, dark cold mornings standing around while Old Two Legs gets all excited about capturing the sun rise!

I think I'd rather do that from the comfort of our bed!

Autumn is coming!
We met up with Mr & Mrs Corvid and Mrs had a Cockle Shell she was opening up. 'Morning Girls!' she called, 'Look Sushi for Breakfast!'

Cockle Sushi!
'Rather you than me!' said Holly under her breath, we've got chicken cooking for us this morning!

With that she trotted on ' Come on, I can smell the chicken from here!'

Come On, Home!
We spent the morning resting in our 'Day Beds' and chatting on what we could do on a damp day like today. I was all for digging a hole in the garden but Holly said it was just too mucky for that and we'd only end up having a bath to get the mud off us!

Having a 'Day Bed Chat'
'No' she said, 'I've a better idea!'

In the mornings we get a brush and afterwards we get a Doggy Choc, as a reward, they're really Puppy Choc Drops but we like them as a reward after a brush and it has been that way ever since I can remember.

We ran out of Doggy Chocs a few days ago and now the brush, well, it just doesn't seem the same!

So, Holly reckons we should get OTL to buy some more. It just happens that we spotted a new Doggy Store near to where OTL gets his petrol, so, we pointed out to him on the way out for our lunch time walk, that he should get some more fuel 'cos the tank was nearly empty!

After our quick walk, well it was starting to rain, off we went to the petrol place!

After that we woofed and jumped up and down and pointed to a new Doggy Shop that had opened across the road, well, what could OTL do but to 'Have a Look'!

We came out with some Puppy Doggy Choc Drops, the ones we love, plus some chews that supposed to clean our teeth and they taste good as well!

We also got some of those absolutely super doggy twisty chews that I think are wonderful but Holly says taste like poo!

We also got some more Chicken Fillets that both Holly and I think are brilliant!

On top of all that, we got to go for a walk down at the Riverside Park, in between showers!

So, all in all, a good day and Holly's brilliant idea worked!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly (The Brainy One!)

Two Ticks & OTL's Up in The Air!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here again!

What a day we've had!

First of all, Old Two Legs took Auntie Sheila and The Missus down to the station so they can go to Ally Pally and spend all their money on Glue and Glitter.

I suppose that means Doggy Scoff for the next month or so!

We dropped them off and off we went to The Forest again.

Going there so early means we meet new dogs that we only know by the sniff they leave behind, it's sort of 'Putting a Tail to a Sniff' if you know what I mean!

Hey! These are really Fresh Sniffs!
First we met up with Basil, we had exchanged sniffs but never met before!

Hey Basil, Great to meet you at last!
Holly had a word with some cyclist who came tearing down the path, it went like this.

Oi! You pair of Numpty's, can't you read the signs, it says 'No Cycling!'

Can't you two read?
A bit further around the woods we came across Bella. She is not a big 'Sniff Leaver' but it was good to say 'Hello!'

Hello Bella!
When we got home, OTL gave us both a good brush and while he was doing me, he made a discovery, TWO DEAD TICKS!

Now, we are not sure where I got them from or when, I mean, they could have been hanging onto my fur for ages!

After looking at them with his magnifying glass, he decided they were dead and of not danger to us!

So, tomorrow we have decided to get TM to give all our bedding and stuff a good wash. That should boil any left in the bedding and a good shake should get rid of them afterwards!

OTL managed to get the radio mast down, clever old thing, he just about got it into the garden when the rain started and it rained and it poured down!

At lunch time we decided it would be a good idea to have our second walk down on The Sea Wall. Unfortunately, it started to rain again, so, OTL got out our new rain coats!

We got down there and OTL put our coats and opened the car door.

It was horrid!

The rain was pouring down and in no time I was soaking wet through to the skin from my nose to my neck. So was Holly, OTL on the other paw was soaked all down his legs to his boots!

'That's It' said Holly 'I'm not having any more of this!'

Enuff is ENUFF!
I've just about had enuff of this rain, I mean, it's not even warm like it is in Scotland!

Scotland this Ain't!
With that, she turned right and pulled OTL up the hill to the car park!

The Car's This Way!
Well, we got a rub down in the car and when we got home we had another rub down, it was good to be in the warm again!

TM got back all loaded up with stamps and glue and peel off's and glitter by the ton, so she will be busy for the next week 'Experimenting'!

Ho Hum, an early night I think and wait until the rain stops so we can dis-assemble the mast and wait until the scrap man calls!

Off for a snooze and see what there is to mug off TM and OTL!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Busy Day watching OTL Work!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again!

What a lovely day today, the sun was shining when we went for our morning stroll along The Sea Wall. It was a bit windy but most enjoyable!

Holly was a bit slow having a walk 'cos she was catching up on all the sniffs! She said that it was important to keep up with all the sniffs 'cos you never know who is is that is about and a good guard dog must always be aware of who is about!

Holly doing the Sniffs!
I said that as normal, she was talking through her tail and it was just that she was getting old and slow.

It was then that she ran up and gave me a nip on the tail, and that's when the fight started!

We got back home and had our brush and a bit of breakfast and afterwards we had a lay down on the patio while Old Two Legs got the ladder out to clear a blockage in the guttering, well, it was a bramble bush that had started to grow in a short down pipe that had got blocked with some of the lichen that had come loose from the roof!

After that we watched him set up the ladder by the side of his antenna mast on the end of the house. You see he was very into Amateur Radio and had some antennae mounted on the mast but now they are not used, so, as he says, it is time to get them down before he gets too old to do it and has to pay someone else to do it!

He has been up on the ladder squirting WD40 over the nuts that hold the thing together, so tomorrow we should have some fun getting it all down!

Lunch time we were back down The Sea Wall again and had some fun chasing each other around, I was doing my 'Sneak Up and Woof' trick which is good when Holly can't see me!

Me Doing a 'Sneaky'!
We saw this Two Legs on The Sea Wall with a tripod and Holly reckons he was a Bird Watcher but I said the thing on top was a camera. As we got closer we could see that it was indeed a camera, but it was pointing at the sky!

Oh No, says Holly, Not another Camera Nut!

When we got up to him OTL said he was taking pictures of the clouds, 'cos they were interesting!

Oh No! Look What we got Here!
We thought it was just OTL who did daft things like that, we didn't think there would be more of them!

Then just to prove us right, OTL suddenly drops to his knee and starts taking pictures of a flower 'cos 'It looks pretty'!

Pretty
The rest of the day was spent watching OTL rig up a series of ropes and things to drop the mast down tomorrow. It looks like it could be fun!

He said it was a 'Practise Run' only he wasn't running!

Still, we even let him do a bit more weeding in the back garden before woofing at him to have a game with the ball!

We watched a replay of the F1 Qualifying and saw Lewis get pole position with Jenson on the second row in fourth position.

Providing OTL gets the mast down in time, we will watch it 'Live' tomorrow!

Bye bye for now.

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Frightening Friday!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here!

What a day we've had!

First of all, Holly, she has not been on top of the world the last two days and finally what ever it was that upset her finally left her, this morning, on our first walk of the day.

Old Two Legs had to give her a good clean down in the car park and Holly had to stand on the parcel shelf while OTL gave her a clean up.

Holly said it was a bit embarrassing having it done on the parcel shelf in full view of everyone in the car park but did admit she really needed a wipe down!

Back home and a wash with Doggy Shampoo soon cleaned Holly's backside and she retired to the sofa for a snooze, but only after a bit of chicken for breakfast!

Come lunch time it took a bit of persuading to get Holly off the sofa for a walk but OTL said we can go down The Forest again, so Holly decided that she would come with us!

Well, down in the woods we started off with a sniff around the path to see who was about and if there had been any squirrels trotting past as well!

Sniffin the Sniffs!

No luck, they seemed to have decided to keep to the trees!

We kept up our hunting and finally I spotted a sneaky squirrel half way down a tree trunk, looking at us and trying to decide which way it should go, back up or down!

Spotted!
It went back!

Off we went and came across a couple of Woofers coming down the path towards the gate we were going through. Now, we are smallish sort of dogs and we tend to use our brains rather that our weight, mainly because we not very heavy!

Well, when we saw these two dogs our blood went cold!

The first was a big, fat, lumbering, great Rottweiler and he came up, took one look and went off to pee up a tree trunk!

The second was, well I don't know, it was En, blooming, normous! It scared me and I ran and hid behind OTL's legs and didn't say a thing!

Holly was on the other side of the gate and thought she was safe, that was until the dogs went through the gate, first the Rottweiler trotted through and then this 'Thing' went through!

It walked past me 'cos I reckon he didn't see me but he spotted Holly and put his head down for a sniff.

Holly thought it was going to eat her and gave out with a big yelp and rushed through the gate and behind OTL's legs where I was!

A 'Close Thing' said Holly, 'Did you see the size of that thing!'

Off we went laughing about the dogs and pretending we weren't scared at all. T show how big and brave we were, I stood in the middle of the path and did one of my 'Ya Boo & Sucks' woofs that start off in a Woof, then go into a Howl and ends in a WoooWooooWooooo!

It's a sort of doggy insult that says :-

'IcankickthetailofyouanytimeIwanttoyoupileofoldcarpetslippers!'

That is a rough translation 'cos there are subtle woofs in there that make it a bit of a challenge and a rude bit about the way you smell and what we think of your Father as well!

Off we went looking for more squirrels, we were sneaking around the bushes and all the tree trunks!

Sneaking around a tree!
We were passed by a Labrador who was holding a ball in it's mouth, of course, OTL just had to throw it for him!

He went on ahead and then stopped at the top of the hill, we stood in the middle of the path, OTL stood still and asked what the matter was.

There, standing on top of the hill, right on top of the hill, standing over the Labrador, was that Big Dog again!

Holly said, 'Do you think he heard you shouting?'

I did my 'Jumping up at OTL's Leg' trick that means 'Help! Pick me up, Quick!'

OTL crouched down and I didn't wait for him to pick me up, I jumped up onto his lap and then onto his shoulders and hid behind his head!

Holly, being the big brave puppy she is, ran under OTL's legs and hid there!

'Just Look at him' said Holly, 'He towers over that Labrador!

Look at the size of That!
Holly said that it looks like it has some Poodle in it and I said it looks like the other half is a horse!

We stood very, very still as it passed OTL and us, we didn't say a word as it wandered off down the path.

Slowly, very slowly, we came out from behind OTL and ran off down the path, in the opposite direction! Holly did suggest that we don't do the 'Ya Boo' call until we were back safe inside in the car!

I though that was a 'Very Good Idea!'

Back home for a snooze before dinner. OTL has got some sort of Rustic Chicken tonight, so we are planning to give him a good mugging!

Bye bye for now!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

It's a Three Walk Adventure Day

Yo Ho Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again!

What a busy day we have had today, first of all we were up good and early for our run along The Sea Wall, loads of sniffs both on and off the beach!

Old Two Legs was messing about with the camera trying to catch the Dragon Fly in Mid Air shot and failing miserably!

ZZZZZoom!                 MMMMMooz!
The Dragon Fly kept flying past OTL shouting out Zoom! Zoom! You know, it was moving so fast that the Zoom came out backwards when it went the other way!

We had a visitor this morning, it was Auntie Angela! She had come to play at 'Glue Pot Splashing' with The Missus. You know it's dangerous when those two get going, glue, glitter and inks everywhere! You know, a doggy could change colour in a blink of an eye if you got too close to those two in full flight!

Mind you, she brought some Jam Doughnuts and shared them out, I helped OTL finish off his share!

Mind you, I left the jam bit alone but he rest with a little sprinkling of sugar went down a treat!

Lunchtime walk was fun, to start off with, Holly was not feeling too much like a run around 'cos she says she is not feeling well, must be some thing she has eaten, she does eat some strange stuff!

So, I had to keep waiting for her, I mean, it's not the done thing to go rushing ahead when your sister is not well!

Waiting for Sis!
We tried to cheer her up by telling a couple of jokes and it wasn't until I nipped her tail that she seemed to snap out of her mood!

We had a great time chasing each other and trying to grab each others tail!

Pretend Fight!
We also enjoyed having our 'Pretend Fight' which is great fun!

Here I come!
It was a 'Mad Five Minutes' and in the end we were both puffed out!

When we got back home, we were just about to settle down for a snooze when OTL started to head for the front door, without us!

No Way was he getting out on his own!

So, off we went, down to the Bank and then to one of his customers!

Afterwards, OTL said we could go for another walk if we wanted, so, off we went and I started singing our 'New Park' song which is a little bit rude but very funny and OTL got the message!

Get off the Path!
We started off towards the Swimming Hole and OTL and I were on the grass looking for my ball when we heard Holly giving off a load of woofing. Turning around we saw she was telling the Park Warden to 'Get Off The Path' and then told them what to do with their car as well!

We carried on down towards the Swimming Hole with OTL throwing the ball for me. I love having a ball chase along the path 'cos I can do my famous 'Hand Brake Turn' to grab the ball.

Hand Break Turn!
Then I end up in a big cloud of dust, which is a really good 'Show Off' way of stopping, it makes all the other dogs think I was going very fast you see!

Showing Off my Speed!
I had a great time splashing about fetching the ball and OTL did his normal trick of throwing it just a little bit too far!

Too deep for me!
The wind was blowing in the right direction, so, all I had to do was to wait until the ball came back to me!

I got a bit brave a couple of times and stepped off the edge and found myself swimming with all my paws off the bottom!

I got soaking wet all over!

So, back I came to OTL and decided to share the water with him by having a good shake in front of him!

Catch the water!
We then went off for a good run in the cut hay and Holly says that she has been reading all about camouflage and then showed me how she can disappear from view in the middle of a field!

Bet you can't see me now!
I was getting a bit shivery 'cos I was still wet from the swim, so, Holly and I had a good run and a roll in the hay so I got dry and warm pretty quickly!

Drying Off!
The only problem was, when we rolled in the hay, we picked up all the prickles and burrs, so that means OTL had to spend some time taking it all out while sitting on the bench! Still, it gave him an excuse for sitting down for a while!

Off Again!
Back home we both fell asleep after a bit of dinner, Holly spend all evening asleep on the sofa, me, I was up in OTL's office, snoozing!

I reckon that it won't be long before we go to bed, so I must get back to snoozing in case I miss out on my sleep!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly
