Rats, Rats, As big as Pussy Cats!

Hi all you Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again!

Didn't we have some fun last night! At bed time, the real bed time, not just our evening snoozett, Holly and I took out carrots up to bed. Well, we like a nibble during the night after our 'Puppy Patrol' around the house!

Trouble is, us crunching away wakes Old Two Legs up and he tells us off.

Not that we listen to him!

Well last night he decided that he would confiscate the carrots, so, every time his hand came down into the bed to take the carrot away, we tucked it under the blanket!

He fell asleep with one hand inside my bed, which was OK 'cos I used his hand as a pillow!

This morning down on The Sea Wall, it was dark, the sun had got up but the clouds were making it a bit dismal!

A Dismal Start!
A little cloud doesn't upset us! No, we are still into the 'Sniff' and 'Hunting' mode! We started off looking over the wall to the beach and saw a couple of very big rats. Holly thought that they were cats to begin with but changed her mind when she saw them run for their hole when they saw us!

Jus' look at the size of Them!
Further along the Sea Wall Holly stopped and started to stare into the grass, Psst! She said, 'I've got a mouse here!'

I wasn't interested in mouses, only big rats and rabbits!

Psst! Look a Mouse!
Holly said I was just being greedy just wanting the big stuff! I said it was easier to catch 'cos those mouses are super fast when you try to chase them and I've tried before and got nothing except grass darts and burrs all over my muzzle!

I don't do Mouses any more!
Back home to Lambs Heart and a snooze while OTL is making up some stuff for one of his customers!

Lunch time we were off again and ended up at The New Park, which was great by us as it didn't look like rain!

I was chasing the ball and Holly was wandering along 'Sniffin the Sniffs!'

Me and The Ball!
We got as far as the 'Training Area' and Holly said we should go in there for a laugh, pretending to be training OTL!

Come on OTL it's Training Time!
It was fun for a while, until this young Lakeland Terrier Cross got let off the lead. It was the first time he has been off the lead! He said his name was Archie and he had never got to have a good run before, unless it was around his garden which didn't really count!

Archie and me having a game of 'Chase'
It was good fun as I was much quicker on the turns than Archie and several times he fell over trying to keep up with me!

Can't catch Me!
After a while he got out of breath and went over to Holly and challenged her to a running race but Holly just turned up her nose and said 'I don't do racing!'

I don't do Racing!
We heard the gate go 'Click' and this Whippet dog came in all twitchy and nervous looking.

Well that was until she got let off the lead, she ran after Archie and bowled him over with no trouble and going at the speed of light!

Wheeeeeeeeeeeee!
Holly and I just sat there watching, not believing our eyes!

That is one Very Fast Doggy!
There was no way that we were going to get mixed up with that hound, so we left Archie to get on with it, silly dog will learn a good lesson, Stay Away from the Fast Dogs!

After a while we left the Training Area, OTL is still as useless at Sitting and Walking at Heel!

He came across a bush full of berries, so he just had to take a picture, it reminds us that Autumn is almost here, so that means walks in the forest and fields where the leaves are all changing colours and of course, OTL will soon be on his knees photographing Fungi!

Autumn is Here!
Back home to a snooze before dinner, well OTL's dinner 'cos we've eaten all of our Lambs Heart and got nothing in the bowl except dry biscuits, which is nearly as bad as Doggy Scoff!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

P.S.

We have just been told that The Missus has had a load of her 'Tags' shown on 'Create and Craft' television.

She is going to be UNBEARABLE to live with now!

OTL says it will Five Bob to talk to her!

Monday and The Rain Comes!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here on a damp Monday!

After the fun and games over the weekend it makes a change to have a 'slow day'!

This morning we got to The Sea Wall but Old Two Legs wouldn't let us out of the car without putting on our rain coats!

A quick look at the windscreen told us it was just starting to rain, you now, that stuff that falls and you think it will be OK but in the end it makes you horribly wet!

Now, these coats are all very swish and we 'Look The Business' in them, but, there is one slight hitch that causes us problems.

You see, the back of the coat, the bit nearest to our tail sort of opens up like a Tutu if the wind is blowing in the right direction! So, to overcome this design fault, the makers have sewn in a length of elastic that goes under our leg and clips back onto the coat, keeping the coat down by our side. Looks great, works well,  until you want to walk!

It sort of chaffs our legs makes us walk funny!

Holly says she feels all sort of 'Pulled Apart' and to see her, she looks like she has been doing too much horse riding!

It's not so bad for me but it's still not the most comfortable thing to wear!

OTL says he will try to get The Missus to sew in an additional length of elastic so it's not so tight!

If he thinks I'm running in this, he can think again!
Holly says we can get some of the elastic from OTL's underwear but I don't fancy having 'Calvin' hanging from my legs!

Lunch time we went out delivering stuff and ended up at The New Park. I was all for a run and chase about but Holly says her tummy is not feeling too good, must be something she ate!

We had a wander about and got back to the car just before the rain came down!

Here comes the Rain Cloud!
You can see how bad it was, still we got home all warm and dry!

Holly and I have been fighting over a carrot, you see, we got half a carrot each and I can take or leave them, but Holly, she just loves a good carrot straight from the fridge, all chilled and crunchy!

I on the other hand just want the carrot she has, in stead of mine!

It's a sister thing you see!

We will still be chewing it when we go to bed tonight, so OTL will be kept awake by the sound of carrot crunching tonight!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly (Crunch! Crunch!)

A relaxing Day 'cos we Need IT!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here.

We are still trying to get over yesterday on the beach. You know, running over those pebbles and on the sand can make you so tired!

We fell asleep almost as soon as we got in, well Holly did and I had to do my blog before retiring to bed!

I didn't know it, but Holly fell asleep on the sofa and Old Two Legs had to pick her up and put her to bed!

You know, she was that exhausted she didn't even wake up!

This morning we were both still snoozing while OTL got up, showered, dressed and ready for a walk!

It was an effort to get up!

Down on The Sea Wall, we spotted a Black Headed Gull having a paddle in the pools and just for a change, it wasn't shouting it's head off!

Having a Paddle.
Then we saw the reason, it was a Little Egret having a search around the pool as well, searching for food, so if the Gull started shouting it had found food, the first bird to arrive would be the Egret!

Keep Quiet, Stranger in the pool!

Holly wanted to know why there were reeds growing on the path 'cos she reckons that reeds should grow in wet boggy places.

Then OTL pointed out the line of drain covers coming down the hill and under the reeds.

Mmm, maybe we have a leaky water pipe says Holly!

Reeds on the path with their roots in a pipe!

Back home for an 'After walk Snooze' while OTL was messing about in the garden dis-assembling the mast he took down.

A lot of the bolts were all rusted up, so he got out his trusty 'Bolt Cutter' and chopped all the bits off!

Now we have a pile of bits awaiting the next scrap metal man to arrive in out road!

Lunch time down The Sea Wall, we saw a couple of those water Skate Board Thingy Wottsits racing across the water, Holly says she would like to have a go on one of those one day but it will have to be a warm day and the water must be calm!

Holly's Dream Trip!
A bit further along we spotted a young Two Legs playing on the Sea Wall, Holly said that we should keep an eye out 'cos he may fall in and if we rescued him he would be so grateful we would get first pick of his Sandwich Tin!

How big is his Sandwich Tin?
Well, we sat and waited, and then we waited some more but he didn't fall in, in fact he walked back up to his fishing rods and was eating the last of his sandwich as we got to him!

Some people are so Ungrateful!

After that let down, we went hunting rabbits but even they had gone back to bed for a Sunday Afternoon Nap!

Coo'ee! Rabbits, where are you?
So, Holly and I decided that it would be a good idea if we also went back home and had one of our extra special 'Afternoon Snoozetts'!

And that's what we did, straight up to our Day Bed in OTL's office and just for a laugh, we swapped beds, I slept in Holly's and she snoozed in mine!

Super Afternoon Snoozing!
Not sure what OTL has got for dinner tonight but I hope it is something I can mug 'cos we got Doggy Scoff this morning and you know how much we love that stuff!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

A Day at Dungeness!

Yo Ho Woofers!

It's Daisy & Holly back again from an exciting adventure at Dungeness!

We were up at the crack of dawn, well, maybe just a bit after the Crack bit!

Almost the Crack of Dawn!
We had a quick run around The Sea Wall and bumped into Oscar and his mate, out for a morning stroll.

Well, as normal, it was a quick sniff and a Hello to us and then off they went to play up to Old Two Legs, I'll tell you, it was so syrupy it made us want to go Yuk!

Syrupy Sid & Oscar!

We just had to move away, they were just too much that early in the morning!

We were sitting on the wall waiting for OTL when this slug jogged by, 'Mornin' it said, 'Can't stop, I'm training for the next London Marathon'!

Jogging Slug!
As Holly says, 'What ever turns you on!'

 Next stop Dungeness!
We arrived as a load of Gulls were landing and making a bit of a racket, we think they were arguing about a bit of food and you know what a lot of noise gulls can make! Holly woofed at them asking which one tasted most like chicken, that shut them up!

Who Tastes of Chicken today?
Well, OTL got going with his camera and we went for a walk with The Missus. We managed to kick up a rabbit and several birds and a couple of rats and Holly says she chased a Hare!

TM said she didn't believe the bit about the Hare!

We caught up with OTL and he showed us what he had done so far, pretty colours but no rabbits!

Pretty colours!
I was in the 'Naughty Corner' 'cos I kept on chasing the rabbits and wouldn't go back to TM when she called, so, I had to spend some time on the lead as a punishment!

In the Naughty Corner!
OTL has got something about old boats, he keeps photographing them when he goes down to Dungeness and today was no exception!

A Boat Off the Rails!
Not only boats but the old Winding Gear that used to pull the boat up the beach!

Old & Rusty, Like OTL!
OTL likes a joke with his photographs and this one we think is funny, do you think he knows there is a boat in the way!

Say Cheeeese!
After lunch we went off to St Margarets Bay, it is so super down there, miles and miles of sandy beach and Holly and I can go at full speed for as long as we can run and we can chase the ball all over the place as well!

Holly doing a Runner with the ball!
We had great fun chasing each other and grabbing the ball!

GissMyBallBack Holly Dog!
After all that running about it was good to have a rest in big puddles on the beach!

Cooling Off!
Holly didn't have a splash about, she just paddled around the edges!

OTL wanted to get a 'Sun Set' picture but right at the last moment the sun disappeared taking the red bits with it, so OTL was left with the Lighthouse, the Shadow and nothing else!

Not the Sunset he wanted!
We didn't get back until late and as soon as I've finished typing this, I'm off to bed, 'cos Holly is already snoring her head off, almost as loud as TM when she gets going!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Chasing Indians and other stuff!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here again!

It's Friday and we are both looking forward to the weekend. Old Two Legs is going to get his camera gear all sorted out tonight and we have just heard that The Missus will be coming with us to Dungeness as well! Who knows, she may even bring her camera as well. Mind you, I don't think there will be many cards to photograph on the beach!

Our morning walk today was fun, we were out looking for sniffs along The Sea Wall where they had moved all the stones away from the wall.

Holly says that it would make a good race track, just like at Brooklands in the 'Old Days'. Well, I reckon that you must be going at some lick to stay up on that wall and what happens when you get to the steps?

High Speed Wall?
That's simple says Holly, 'You just Jump!'

Jump!
We were having a discussion about racing when it got all dark and dismal, like it was about to rain.

We took a look at the sky and noticed that the clouds seemed to go around in a circle.

Hey, look, says OTL this must be the middle of the 'Low' that has passed over us!

Low?
Oh, Right, says Holly, Looks 'High' to me!

OTL had to go out to visit a customer at lunch time, so of course we just had to go with him, just in case he got lost!

We started off towards London but Holly and I got the sniff of the New Park and started to woof and howl and sing our 'Walking' song!

How could he refuse? The customer can wait a while longer!

Holly met up with Patch, a doggy she met a while ago, they had a game of 'Chase' until his owner took another path and we parted with a 'Woof'!

Hello Patch! Long time no see!
While Holly was having a game, OTL was busy trying to take a picture of some red leaves, me, I was getting interested in a pile of Fox Poo and wondering if I dare chance a quick roll in it!

Autumn Colours
I decided against it 'cos that would mean a bath when I got home and that might get in the way of dinner and that is not allowed!

So, I didn't!

Aren't I a Good Girl?

Holly found The Fort we used to play in and pretended to be in charge and kept marching up and down and looking out the windows looking for Indians!

I see no Indians!
Then we went over to the Tepee and pretended to wait for the Indians. OTL was busy playing with the camera again and I whispered to Holly, 'Shout out It's Behind You, and see what happens'!

So she did and OTL fell over backwards with the shock!

Holly says it's the best laugh we've had all week!

Wot a Laugh!
Let's hope that tomorrow TM can catch OTL falling over again!

Bye for now, dinner is ready!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Sneaky, Sneaky and Sneaky!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy & Holly back again!

It's funny what a nights sleep will do. We went to bed last night and it was still raining, not much but still dribbling down, this morning, Sunshine!

It looks like we are set for a couple of days of warm weather and balmy sky's!

So, we plan to go down to Dungeness and along the coast. OTL wants to wave his camera about and we want a run on the big sandy beach!

This morning we walked along The Sea Wall and enjoyed 'Sniffin the Sniffs' on the beach.

Just Sniffin the Sniffs!
We came across the fishermen who are normally there catching their dinner, but today, the had caught nothing!

One of them started to play a trick on Holly. She did her 'Got and Food Mister?' trick and one of them said 'Yes!'

'Oooo!' says Holly, licking her chops! Then he opened a plastic box, the sort you might keep sandwiches in!

Yes
He put his hand inside and brought out.............A Lead Weight!

Chew on that!

Sneaky or Wot!

Holly was right Miffed, she was all for peeing into his tackle box or having a chew of his boot laces, but in the end she just flicked her tail and walked away!

Now, when a dog flicks it's tail at you, that is the biggest insult you can get, it sort of translates into ' You're not worth letting sniff under my Tail!'

Back home to a brush and a snooze, after breakfast!

We do love our morning snooze, in fact Holly has the best snooze of the day in the mornings!

There are times when she is so into her snooze it takes all OTL's sneakiness to get he to get up and have here lead put on!

Snoozing Holly.
Holly hears OTL call out 'Walkies!' but doesn't move a claw. So, OTL comes in and tickles her tummy and says 'Walkies!'

Holly doesn't move a claw.

So, OTL leaves Holly and comes back out to me standing by the door and shouts out 'RABBITS!'

Holly comes flying off the sofa and tears around the corner, all Teeth and Tail, ready to chase a rabbit.

'Hello' says OTL, 'Fancy a Walk while your up?'

Now that's Sneaky!

We had a super walk at lunch time and Both Holly and I had a 'Practice Dig' at a hole, just sort of getting ready for Saturday when we expect to get onto that big sandy beach and dig 'Enormous Holes!

Just a little practice!

As we headed back to the car, we saw a very big and hairy looking Alsatian dog ahead of us. It was big and black and hairy and not the sort of friendly dog we expect to meet on our walk!

What are we going to do? Holly says that we should bluff the dog, so, we march along, just in front of OTL, and do the 'Throat Growl' which is not so much a challenge, more of a 'Stay Away if You Know What's Good for You!'

OK, Big and Bold !
'Big and Bold' says Holly and you know, it worked! The Alsatian glanced at us and then kept his nose to the ground and walked past!

'OK', says Holly 'Who's the Sneaky ones now?'

Back home for a snooze before dinner and then maybe a game of ball with OTL!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Too Much Wet!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here!

What a Yucky day it has been. We have been looking out of the window getting ready for a run around the garden but every time we look out, it's raining!

Our walks have been timed to be in between the rain showers instead of when we normally go out!

Mind you, it does let us show off our new rain coats.

Here is me looking terribly smart and doing the 'Puppy Pose' to accentuate the fine lines of my super slim figure!

Daisy looking Good!
Holly did a bit of posing for Old Two Legs and said that she looked Classy and Sophisticated in her coat!

Classy or Wot?

In the end we decided that we were both Sophisticated Sisters!

Sophisticated!

OTL was off trying to photograph rain drops, like, there wasn't enough of them all over the place already!

Rain Drops keep falling on my Leaf!
We spotted a Black Cap in the bushes but the bird was too far away to get a clear shot, so you will have to put up with this wobbly one!

Black Cap.

We spotted Mr Corvid looking for a meal, he said he fancied a bit of Sushi but the gulls must have had it all!

Still looking for Sushi!
We decided that OTL should try some 'Fashion Shots' of us in our coats and we wanted a 'Classic Look', so here is what we got!

First of all there is Holly.

Cool Holly!

 And Me!

Darling Daisy!
Now OTL said that he could do Sepia but then remembered that the tools for doing that were on his laptop, and we know where that is at the moment don't we!

Every time we look out of the window it is raining and every time we have a snooze, the sun comes out!

Not to worry, we are looking forward to a day out on Saturday with OTL and we have been promised sun shine for that!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly (Looking Good, no matter what the weather!)
