Silly Sunday!

Yo Ho Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again!

Today has been a slow day, Old Two Legs has been playing with his computer and we have been snoozing the day away!

We haven't been bored just sort of lazy if you know what I mean!

It is good to be lazy once in a while, well according to OTL there is nothing wrong with that and he should know!

He says that if you spend all your life working hard and never get to be lazy once in a while, what is the purpose of working hard!

We went down The Sea Wall and met up with a man who was working hard, cutting the grass!

This is one of the volunteers who keep the Sea Wall tidy and fun for us dogs and you Two Legs and he was working at having fun while working, if you understand.

Boop! Boop!
OTL was watching him cut the grass on the paths and said he looked like Mr Toad on his brand new speed machine!

We had Doggy Scoff for breakfast, not my favourite, but I was hungry and ate all mine straight off. Holly had a sniff and a nibble but decided she was going to have a 'Detox Day' by drinking water and nibbling grass.

Mind you, I did see her mug OTL for half of his Cookie Biscuit this morning!

Lunch time we were strolling along the beach and Holly said the Detox was working well and she was looking The Business and just to prove it, she struck a pose for OTL to record on the camera!

Looking Good!
I wasn't going to have that, so I said to OTL to get the camera ready and I did one of my 'Super Smart Look Into My Eyes And Love Me' looks!

I do this when I want OTL to take notice 'cos I want him to do some thing like feed me, walkies, tickle me, play ball, take us out driving in the car and other stuff!

Am I 'Super Smart' or Wot!
Holly and I got into an argument about who looked the best and we asked OTL to judge. He said we were both the same cuddly puppies!

Really, we knew it was going to be a waste of time asking him to decide!

So, just to teach him a lesson, we both mugged him for a nibble of his dinner, (Meat Balls & Rice)!

We have left him messing about on the laptop all evening and we're off to bed now, so, see you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

He's Back!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back with you!

'A BIG WOOFING HELLO' to Joan who has been brave enough to sign up to our blog!

We hope you have lots of fun reading about our adventures with OTL and TM!

Well, what a fun day, first of all, you should have seen Old Two Legs this morning! The alarm went off at five fifteen to wake him up for work.

Now OTL is even worse than Holly for 'Early Mornings', there he was bumping into all the hard things, like doors or walls and stubbing his toe on the bed leg!

You should have heard him grumble!

Holly and I stayed in bed and after he got up, we jumped up onto the bed and snuggled down into the duvet, all warm and comfortable!

The Missus got up to watch the F1 qualifying from Japan, 'cos she is into F1 motor racing and she pretends she is racing when she drives the vacuum cleaner around the house!

OTL went out early 'cos he had a load of work to do and an early start means he could just about get it all done in one day!

That means we have to get The Missus to take us out for our walks. TM doesn't drive the Big Car so instead of a run down on The Sea Wall, we headed off to The Farm.

We noticed that all the crops have been taken in, so now all there is left is stubble and mud!

The field is so big and there is nothing in our way, so, Holly and I can really get a good charge going!

What is better, the mud just flies up in the air as we pass and goes all over the place!

Great fun!

Pity we couldn't show you what it was like but TM is not into photographs, unless it is her cards and tags and stuff, so you will just have to close your eyes and imagine two little black and white and muddy little doggies tearing across the empty fields!

OTL came back a short while ago, he tried creeping in the front door without us knowing, silly OTL, no chance!

He got licked and cuddled all over and a bit more! It was really good to see him again, we don't like it when he leaves us!

We are just about to mug him for some of his dinner, Curry and Nan Bread tonight, super!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly (Super Dogs!)

What a Day!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back with you again!

What a day it has been! First it was a run down on The Sea Wall, when we got there, it started to rain, so Old Two Legs left his camera in the car 'cos as he says, 'It don't like the wet'!

When we got back there was a message from the Computer Shop that the laptop had been returned!

So, with instructions from The Missus as well we headed off to the Computer Shop.

Now, we like it when OTL goes to the Computer Shop, 'cos right next door is The Doggy Shop!

That Doggy Shop has got to be one of our most favourite shops in all the world!

So, while OTL rushed off to the Computer Shop, Holly and I stayed in the car having a chew each!

Next stop was the place where TM can get her Electric Carpet Sweeper! She needs a new one, not because she has worn the other one out,but rather she has broken the old one, snapped the handle off by stepping on it!

She was almost heart broken when she told us about it!

So, with a new one tucked under her arm we headed back home for a nibble and then our lunch time walk.

There were a few new sniffs and some we weren't too sure off!

Wotcha Reckon? Rat or Cat?
OTL disappeared off into the grass and we thought he was looking for a rabbit but when we went back for him, there he was, on his knees photographing a fungi!

The first of the season!

Guess Wot!
Back home OTL locked himself away in the office and has started reloading all the programs onto the laptop. He has been banging his head on the wall trying to get back into the network he set up 'cos he has forgotten all the passwords!

One good thing, he has found the pictures he took of Auntie Zoe's family, he was so worried he may have lost them but, the Gods have been kind to him!

So, as the lads would say 'Whoopee!'

Whoopee! We're not lost!
OTL has got to go out very early tomorrow and will be working all day, so TM has agreed to take us out for our walks.

I wonder if we will have an adventure?

I'll let you know tomorrow night!

Bye bye for now!

Daisy & Holly

I've Lost My Ball!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again!

Seems like it was only five minutes ago I was sitting here at the keyboard telling you about our day!

Well, here we are at the end of another eventful day and I'm just worn out!

It started this morning when we got to The Sea Wall, I was having a sniff and Holly was charging about looking for rabbits, not very successfully I might add!

All of a sudden she shouts out that I should 'Jump over the Sea Wall and have a splash in the mud!'

Well, I wasn't going to have any of that, so I told her to 'Kiss My Tail!'

Oi! Kiss My Tail!
That was when the fight started!

It didn't last long 'cos she couldn't catch me and I ended up running circles around her!

Old Two Legs was well ahead of us looking for a Cranefly to photograph, he was not too successful but did find one that was all tangled up in a weed with spikes on!

Help! I'm Stuck!
Back home and Holly said she had a 'Icky Tummy' and missed out on breakfast, so I helped her eat breakfast, well, it was Chicken and you just gotta help your sister out!

Seems she ate too much 'Doggy Barbecue Sausage' last night and  it has bitten her back!

Lunch time she said she felt better but not enough to eat her chicken, so OTL put it away for later and to stop me having a nibble!

We dropped some stuff off to the carrier and carried onto The New Park. OTL had to get some petrol for the car and as the park was close, we went in there first!

As normal, there were loads of sniffs to sniff and as we were off the lead we could take as long as we wanted!

There is nothing better than a Loooong Sniffffff!
You see, we can leave OTL to get on with whatever he wants 'cos there is so much open space that we can't really loose him and he can't get into too much trouble without us seeing him!

So, we left him in the bushes doing this photograph, he came back and said ' Hey! Look Girls, this is VIVID!

Mmm, OK, Yes, Wot?

Seems to turn him on!

VIVID!
Now, we know Michael and Trevor will be interested, so, if I can stay awake while I type this!

Just for Michael who may catch the 'Fall' if he is lucky!

Nikon D3
Lens 28-300
Focal length 70mm
ISO 200
1/250 sec at f/5.6
JPEG Fine 8 bit
Adobe RGB
Saturation +3 (VIVID)

 OK, that's done that!

We wandered along and suddenly I get the sniff! It's The Swimming Hole! Off I rush, kicking up the dust on the path and 'Flying!'

In fact, I was going so fast that a Heffer was knocked sideways by the blast of wind as I went past!

Wotssat?
When I got to The Swimming Hole, there were a couple of dogs having a game of 'Splash', that is where you jump in and try to splash everyone on the shore!

The Lads playing 'Splash!'
I had a paddle and went up and down just to check that the bottom was where I left it last time!

Just checking the bottom is still there!

OTL and Holly arrived, Holly went in for a little paddle and a drink while OTL threw the ball for me several times.

Me fetching the ball!
Then he did it! He threw it out too far and I couldn't get it! What was worse, the other dogs swam past it and pushed it out further!

He's done it Again!
I kept trying to get it but it drifted out too far and my mouth wasn't big enough to grab it, I just kept pushing it out further!

OTL, it's Too Far Out!
OTL said that it was going to get stuck in the reeds and I even thought at one time I could take a big jump and grab it, but then I got sensible and decided that OTL will just have to buy another ball down the Doggy Shop!

Shall I dive in?
I was shivering a bit 'cos it was getting cold and I was soaked through to the skin, so OTL called me away and we had a good run back to the car, Holly was chasing me and then I chased her. By the time we got back I was a bit warmer and as OTL had two of our towls in the car, it wasn't long before I was dry!

Back home to a snooze and then we are off to mug OTL for some of his dinner, steak we think, not sure what sort but we won't complain if it's Fillet!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly (Feeling Better now)

A Three Walk Day!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back with you again!

Loads of fun chasing cats today, some of them were mooching about in the bushes and some were outside the car where we couldn't get to them, but they could hear us!

The first one was down on The Sea Wall, we had just arrived and after a quick look for rabbits, we spotted this great big Tabby wandering through the grass, so, we sneaked up on it.

Well, what happened really was Holly yells out 'CATS!' and proceeds to run as fast as she can along the path and into the grass where the cat was seen. I just had to follow 'cos I always back my sister up, unless it looks dangerous or the dog is bigger than us!

In we went, crashing through the grass and trees until we came to where Holly had seen the cat.

Well I saw it come into here!
No cat, just an old rabbit hole!

That was it, I mean, all that running about and woofing only to find out there was no cat!

We carried on and Holly was mumbling all the way along the path, it was some thing to do with cats and big holes but I didn't take too much notice 'cos Old Two Legs was trying to get an 'atmospheric' shot of a ship leaving harbour.

Early Departure.
Never mind, he tried and can't always get what he wants!

Right across the Thames Estuary we saw a big plume of smoke and fire at the bottom of the smoke there was flames!

OTL reckons that it may be on Foulness Island 'cos they do some funny things on Foulness Island!

Foulness on Fire!

Back home we go and blow me over, didn't we see a big old Ginger Tom walking along the path waving it's tail in the air as walked along!

That was it, we went POTTY!

We were all over the car, woofing out the passenger window, rushing back to the parcel shelf and woofing from there, snarling and woofing and growling for all we were worth!

I'm sure that cat stick it's tongue out and blew a raspberry at us! Just wait, we'll be back!

We went out again at lunch time and although we hunted high and low, we didn't find that cat, but we will!

One thing we did notice, it was a Very High Tide today, if it came up any higher it would have reached to wall!

Very High Tide!
Holly and I had some fun woofing at a couple of fishermen in a rubber boat that was chugging up and down! We were doing our Woofing Howl at them and OTL was laughing his head off!

Holly doing the Woofing Howl!
After all that we went off to deliver some stuff and landed up at the Riverside Park, great fun 'cos the tide was still in and of course, before OTL could say anything, I was in for a quick dip!

Hey! This is fun!
It was especially good fun 'cos while I was in the water I did a quick wee, but I didn't let on to OTL in case he told me off!

Holly and I had a great time chasing each other around the grassy bits and Holly even had a go at flying, but she is still not as good as me!

Flying Holly!
Back home for a snooze and a read of my new book. It's called Yoga for Dogs!

I am going to give this thing a bash so that I can be calm when facing the big dogs and not get so angry when we don't catch the cats!

Mind you, looking at some of the positions I think I may go back to licking my bits and curling up on OTL's lap!

Maybe I'll send it onto Archie then he can control his Karma when chasing moths around the front room!

All together now, Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Rats, Rats, As big as Pussy Cats!

Hi all you Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again!

Didn't we have some fun last night! At bed time, the real bed time, not just our evening snoozett, Holly and I took out carrots up to bed. Well, we like a nibble during the night after our 'Puppy Patrol' around the house!

Trouble is, us crunching away wakes Old Two Legs up and he tells us off.

Not that we listen to him!

Well last night he decided that he would confiscate the carrots, so, every time his hand came down into the bed to take the carrot away, we tucked it under the blanket!

He fell asleep with one hand inside my bed, which was OK 'cos I used his hand as a pillow!

This morning down on The Sea Wall, it was dark, the sun had got up but the clouds were making it a bit dismal!

A Dismal Start!
A little cloud doesn't upset us! No, we are still into the 'Sniff' and 'Hunting' mode! We started off looking over the wall to the beach and saw a couple of very big rats. Holly thought that they were cats to begin with but changed her mind when she saw them run for their hole when they saw us!

Jus' look at the size of Them!
Further along the Sea Wall Holly stopped and started to stare into the grass, Psst! She said, 'I've got a mouse here!'

I wasn't interested in mouses, only big rats and rabbits!

Psst! Look a Mouse!
Holly said I was just being greedy just wanting the big stuff! I said it was easier to catch 'cos those mouses are super fast when you try to chase them and I've tried before and got nothing except grass darts and burrs all over my muzzle!

I don't do Mouses any more!
Back home to Lambs Heart and a snooze while OTL is making up some stuff for one of his customers!

Lunch time we were off again and ended up at The New Park, which was great by us as it didn't look like rain!

I was chasing the ball and Holly was wandering along 'Sniffin the Sniffs!'

Me and The Ball!
We got as far as the 'Training Area' and Holly said we should go in there for a laugh, pretending to be training OTL!

Come on OTL it's Training Time!
It was fun for a while, until this young Lakeland Terrier Cross got let off the lead. It was the first time he has been off the lead! He said his name was Archie and he had never got to have a good run before, unless it was around his garden which didn't really count!

Archie and me having a game of 'Chase'
It was good fun as I was much quicker on the turns than Archie and several times he fell over trying to keep up with me!

Can't catch Me!
After a while he got out of breath and went over to Holly and challenged her to a running race but Holly just turned up her nose and said 'I don't do racing!'

I don't do Racing!
We heard the gate go 'Click' and this Whippet dog came in all twitchy and nervous looking.

Well that was until she got let off the lead, she ran after Archie and bowled him over with no trouble and going at the speed of light!

Wheeeeeeeeeeeee!
Holly and I just sat there watching, not believing our eyes!

That is one Very Fast Doggy!
There was no way that we were going to get mixed up with that hound, so we left Archie to get on with it, silly dog will learn a good lesson, Stay Away from the Fast Dogs!

After a while we left the Training Area, OTL is still as useless at Sitting and Walking at Heel!

He came across a bush full of berries, so he just had to take a picture, it reminds us that Autumn is almost here, so that means walks in the forest and fields where the leaves are all changing colours and of course, OTL will soon be on his knees photographing Fungi!

Autumn is Here!
Back home to a snooze before dinner, well OTL's dinner 'cos we've eaten all of our Lambs Heart and got nothing in the bowl except dry biscuits, which is nearly as bad as Doggy Scoff!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

P.S.

We have just been told that The Missus has had a load of her 'Tags' shown on 'Create and Craft' television.

She is going to be UNBEARABLE to live with now!

OTL says it will Five Bob to talk to her!

Monday and The Rain Comes!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here on a damp Monday!

After the fun and games over the weekend it makes a change to have a 'slow day'!

This morning we got to The Sea Wall but Old Two Legs wouldn't let us out of the car without putting on our rain coats!

A quick look at the windscreen told us it was just starting to rain, you now, that stuff that falls and you think it will be OK but in the end it makes you horribly wet!

Now, these coats are all very swish and we 'Look The Business' in them, but, there is one slight hitch that causes us problems.

You see, the back of the coat, the bit nearest to our tail sort of opens up like a Tutu if the wind is blowing in the right direction! So, to overcome this design fault, the makers have sewn in a length of elastic that goes under our leg and clips back onto the coat, keeping the coat down by our side. Looks great, works well,  until you want to walk!

It sort of chaffs our legs makes us walk funny!

Holly says she feels all sort of 'Pulled Apart' and to see her, she looks like she has been doing too much horse riding!

It's not so bad for me but it's still not the most comfortable thing to wear!

OTL says he will try to get The Missus to sew in an additional length of elastic so it's not so tight!

If he thinks I'm running in this, he can think again!
Holly says we can get some of the elastic from OTL's underwear but I don't fancy having 'Calvin' hanging from my legs!

Lunch time we went out delivering stuff and ended up at The New Park. I was all for a run and chase about but Holly says her tummy is not feeling too good, must be something she ate!

We had a wander about and got back to the car just before the rain came down!

Here comes the Rain Cloud!
You can see how bad it was, still we got home all warm and dry!

Holly and I have been fighting over a carrot, you see, we got half a carrot each and I can take or leave them, but Holly, she just loves a good carrot straight from the fridge, all chilled and crunchy!

I on the other hand just want the carrot she has, in stead of mine!

It's a sister thing you see!

We will still be chewing it when we go to bed tonight, so OTL will be kept awake by the sound of carrot crunching tonight!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly (Crunch! Crunch!)

A relaxing Day 'cos we Need IT!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here.

We are still trying to get over yesterday on the beach. You know, running over those pebbles and on the sand can make you so tired!

We fell asleep almost as soon as we got in, well Holly did and I had to do my blog before retiring to bed!

I didn't know it, but Holly fell asleep on the sofa and Old Two Legs had to pick her up and put her to bed!

You know, she was that exhausted she didn't even wake up!

This morning we were both still snoozing while OTL got up, showered, dressed and ready for a walk!

It was an effort to get up!

Down on The Sea Wall, we spotted a Black Headed Gull having a paddle in the pools and just for a change, it wasn't shouting it's head off!

Having a Paddle.
Then we saw the reason, it was a Little Egret having a search around the pool as well, searching for food, so if the Gull started shouting it had found food, the first bird to arrive would be the Egret!

Keep Quiet, Stranger in the pool!

Holly wanted to know why there were reeds growing on the path 'cos she reckons that reeds should grow in wet boggy places.

Then OTL pointed out the line of drain covers coming down the hill and under the reeds.

Mmm, maybe we have a leaky water pipe says Holly!

Reeds on the path with their roots in a pipe!

Back home for an 'After walk Snooze' while OTL was messing about in the garden dis-assembling the mast he took down.

A lot of the bolts were all rusted up, so he got out his trusty 'Bolt Cutter' and chopped all the bits off!

Now we have a pile of bits awaiting the next scrap metal man to arrive in out road!

Lunch time down The Sea Wall, we saw a couple of those water Skate Board Thingy Wottsits racing across the water, Holly says she would like to have a go on one of those one day but it will have to be a warm day and the water must be calm!

Holly's Dream Trip!
A bit further along we spotted a young Two Legs playing on the Sea Wall, Holly said that we should keep an eye out 'cos he may fall in and if we rescued him he would be so grateful we would get first pick of his Sandwich Tin!

How big is his Sandwich Tin?
Well, we sat and waited, and then we waited some more but he didn't fall in, in fact he walked back up to his fishing rods and was eating the last of his sandwich as we got to him!

Some people are so Ungrateful!

After that let down, we went hunting rabbits but even they had gone back to bed for a Sunday Afternoon Nap!

Coo'ee! Rabbits, where are you?
So, Holly and I decided that it would be a good idea if we also went back home and had one of our extra special 'Afternoon Snoozetts'!

And that's what we did, straight up to our Day Bed in OTL's office and just for a laugh, we swapped beds, I slept in Holly's and she snoozed in mine!

Super Afternoon Snoozing!
Not sure what OTL has got for dinner tonight but I hope it is something I can mug 'cos we got Doggy Scoff this morning and you know how much we love that stuff!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

A Day at Dungeness!

Yo Ho Woofers!

It's Daisy & Holly back again from an exciting adventure at Dungeness!

We were up at the crack of dawn, well, maybe just a bit after the Crack bit!

Almost the Crack of Dawn!
We had a quick run around The Sea Wall and bumped into Oscar and his mate, out for a morning stroll.

Well, as normal, it was a quick sniff and a Hello to us and then off they went to play up to Old Two Legs, I'll tell you, it was so syrupy it made us want to go Yuk!

Syrupy Sid & Oscar!

We just had to move away, they were just too much that early in the morning!

We were sitting on the wall waiting for OTL when this slug jogged by, 'Mornin' it said, 'Can't stop, I'm training for the next London Marathon'!

Jogging Slug!
As Holly says, 'What ever turns you on!'

 Next stop Dungeness!
We arrived as a load of Gulls were landing and making a bit of a racket, we think they were arguing about a bit of food and you know what a lot of noise gulls can make! Holly woofed at them asking which one tasted most like chicken, that shut them up!

Who Tastes of Chicken today?
Well, OTL got going with his camera and we went for a walk with The Missus. We managed to kick up a rabbit and several birds and a couple of rats and Holly says she chased a Hare!

TM said she didn't believe the bit about the Hare!

We caught up with OTL and he showed us what he had done so far, pretty colours but no rabbits!

Pretty colours!
I was in the 'Naughty Corner' 'cos I kept on chasing the rabbits and wouldn't go back to TM when she called, so, I had to spend some time on the lead as a punishment!

In the Naughty Corner!
OTL has got something about old boats, he keeps photographing them when he goes down to Dungeness and today was no exception!

A Boat Off the Rails!
Not only boats but the old Winding Gear that used to pull the boat up the beach!

Old & Rusty, Like OTL!
OTL likes a joke with his photographs and this one we think is funny, do you think he knows there is a boat in the way!

Say Cheeeese!
After lunch we went off to St Margarets Bay, it is so super down there, miles and miles of sandy beach and Holly and I can go at full speed for as long as we can run and we can chase the ball all over the place as well!

Holly doing a Runner with the ball!
We had great fun chasing each other and grabbing the ball!

GissMyBallBack Holly Dog!
After all that running about it was good to have a rest in big puddles on the beach!

Cooling Off!
Holly didn't have a splash about, she just paddled around the edges!

OTL wanted to get a 'Sun Set' picture but right at the last moment the sun disappeared taking the red bits with it, so OTL was left with the Lighthouse, the Shadow and nothing else!

Not the Sunset he wanted!
We didn't get back until late and as soon as I've finished typing this, I'm off to bed, 'cos Holly is already snoring her head off, almost as loud as TM when she gets going!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly
