She's Here and Holly Wimps Out!

Daisy, Holly and Snowflake here!

She's Here! She's Here! The Snow Fairy has arrived! We got up this morning and it was all sort of sleety and by nine when we went out there were loads of it falling out of the sky!

The Missus went out into the back garden and filled up the bird feeders and put some fruit cake on the ground to feed the birds. Little did she know that Holly had sneaked out  behind her and was eating the cake!

When TM found out she chased Holly all around the garden but Holly wouldn't drop the cake, as she said, 'To Hell with The Diet!'

We went down to The Sea Wall as normal and Holly and I went in and out of the grass, kicking up the snow and sniffin under it as well!

It's all sort of 'Frozen Sniffs!'

 We ran off down the path and Holly started to moan about the snow making her paws cold!

Hey! This stuff is cold on my claws!

Then we turned the corner and caught the wind and snow coming in off the sea. 'Ee Up!' says Holly in her best ferret accent, ' t'Blooming Cold Here!'

I didn't mind it really 'cos I had my coat on but Holly had taken it into her mind that 'Enough was Enough' and legged it back to the car!

I'm OK but where's Holly?

OTL was looking for Holly and he found her tracks in the snow, so, off we set 'Tracking Holly'!

OTL was calling her and whistling as well but no sign of her, so back he went to the car park and there she was, standing by the door woofing to get back in!

Come on, open the doors!

Talk about a wimp!

So, that was it, we all pile back into the car and head for home and a warm bed!

Snowflake thought it was funny and had a good laugh from inside her 'Play Box' she hides her toys in when she is let out of Snowy Heights, so OTL can clean it out.

Snowflake says she isn't feeling 100% today and she has missed out on her morning poo, which is not normal for a ferret. Normally she produces a prodigious amount for such a small body but the raw chicken yesterday may have upset her, so she is on Ferret Nuggets today until she gets sorted!

OTL thinks she may be 'Self Regulating' her intake 'cos she isn't a piggy like Holly and, as she has been well fed since she has been here, it may be her having a small 'Fast' so she can get in between the stuff under the desk!

Lunch time came and I bullied OTL into going out for our walk but Holly saw me getting into my coat and legged it up stairs and hid in the bedroom! OTL decided he wasn't going to wait and he and I went over The Fields, a place I haven't been for some time!

This is fun!

It was cold, snowy and fun! I had great fun jumping in and out of the snow drifts and we even saw a fox crossing the field ahead of us. As there was only me, I decided not to chase it today and save it for when Holly is with me!

On our way back we spotted Mr Snowy in a neighbour's garden and OTL said it looked like it had an 'Afro' haircut!

Back home I had a snooze while OTL took some pictures of the birds in the tree in our garden, we saw Goldfinch and Sparrows.

Holly got fed up watching the birds and went out in the garden with TM, Holly had a nibble of the cake she had stashed behind the shed this morning, TM was not Happy!

So we settled down to a late afternoon snooze and Snowflake tucked herself into her bed as well. It was only OTL who stayed awake!

I can now sniff the dinner cooking but I reckon our chances of some nibbles is very low and it's all Holly's fault!

It's still snowing and they say there is more on the way so Holly and I are going to make two sledges out of Snowflakes Poo Trays and in the morning we can slide down The Sea Wall hills!

Snow? Wot Snow!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly & Snowflake here again!

Well, we woke up this morning expecting snow drifts up to the roof, total 'White Out' in the garden and icicles from gutter to ground.

What did we get?

Nuffin!

I've seen frost deeper than the snow that fell last night! The cars were barely covered and you could see more grass than snow!

Where's the Snow?

We went down to The Sea Wall in the big car 'cos Old Two Legs gets fed up waiting for the little cars heater to warm up! He also wants to show off that he has a 4x4 when the snow comes as well!

When we got down to The Sea Wall it was cold, the wind was blowing in off the sea and OTL said that it was cold because of the 'Wind Chill Factor'. Holly said she wanted to go home after she had done her business and walked off up the path towards the car!

This is disappointing, can we go home now?

OTL called her back and off we went to get our 'Morning Exercise'. We met up with that Bozo of a Labrador that thinks OTL is a 'Wonderful Two Legs' and he was jumping all around and making whining noises like a little puppy!

 I mean, he really must control himself!

We got back to the car all sort of shivery and glad to be out of the wind!

Back to the car and the heater!

Back home it was a brush and a big bowl of Chicken and Biscuits followed by a carrot for Holly and a teeth cleaning chew for me!

OTL then cleared out Snowflakes cage and while he was doing that he let her loose on the floor for a run around, which she loves! It was all going OK until OTL decided to have a game with Snowflake, what he does is to let her collect the squeaky toys and stash them away in a corner and while she goes off to get another to stash, OTL pinches one and puts it back out for her to collect again!

Now, Snowflake got a Tinkly Ball yesterday and OTL got that and shook it so it made a noise, Snowflake went potty! She started to jump up and down, roll over and spin around and arch her back. OTL at first thought it was great fun but as the game proceeded he was not too sure if the noise was disturbing her. At one point, he was standing up and rattling the ball and Snowflake ran onto his foot and up his trouser leg to the top of his sock and gave him a 'Love Bite' on his leg!

Her teeth went through his skin and left a couple of puncture marks but they weren't deep and didn't really hurt at all!

Now we have got to work out if it is play or  is she afraid of the tinkle sound!

OTL gave Snowflake a chicken wing, all chopped up and 'Raw' which she loves. Then afterwards she got to lick a couple of drops of 'Ferretone' off OTL's hand. He does that so Snowflake associates OTL with 'Good Things' so she doesn't take it into her mind to bite him, especially when she dives up his trouser leg!

I wonder if that would work with Holly and me?

We all had a good snooze while OTL played around on his computer!

The lunch time walk was terrible, the wind was whipping in off the sea and there was a sort of frozen rain drops that were beating on us and it was difficult to keep our eyes open!

This is getting painful!

It wasn't long before we decided that enough was enough, I took one look around the corner and I couldn't even open my eyes!

This is Stupid!

Holly took the lead, 'I'm off' she said and headed up to the shortcut back to the car!

I'm Off!

Back home it was straight up to the office and into our day beds for a snooze to get warm again!

Snowflake was taking the mickey out of us for going out for a walk in the cold. She said that we should learn how to use a tray like wot she does!

At least we get to have a run about, not like her, she is not allowed out yet until we get a harness for her, then we'll see how she stands up to the cold!

I was in trouble and the Snow Fairy's still not here!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly & Snowflake back with you!

Last night I got into trouble!

You see, Jane & Ian came over for a meal and brought Snowflake a present of a rope bridge! So, I just had to do the testing to make sure it was strong enough for Snowflake!

This needs testing before she uses it!

 Now, it's very kind of them to bring Snowflake a present, but, they brought their dog Lucy with them and she is sneaky and on top of that she has got a silly grin!

Lucy is a six year old Jack Russell and she is Sneaky! 

She comes over to Old Two Legs and is all cuddly and rub her wet nose on his hand and 'Please Tickle my Ear' an 'Shaky Paw' an sit at his feet playing with my rope ball and showing off by throwing it up in the air and catching it before it lands on the ground!

Wot a Show Off!

After just a few minutes I had decided I didn't like her and what's more, she's a TART!

Well, I got fed up with all this showing off, no one is going to cuddle up to My OTL, without getting past me first!

So, I sat on OTL's lap and as soon as Lucy came near I did my 'Last Warning Growl!'

That's the one where I get really showy off an snap at who ever I'm doing it too!

It was at that point that OTL picked me up and took me to the office and left me there with nothing to do except talk to Snowflake, not even a nibble of dinner!

I was not a Happy Puppy!

I had to stay there until dinner was finished and then when I was allowed down, I had to sit on OTL's lap or on the top of the arm chair where he was sitting, all evening!

I still kept a watch on Lucy and gave her the old 'Hairy Eyeball' whenever she came close!

 Next morning OTL was up early 'cos he had a customer coming to visit to pick up some stuff and it made a change not to go out to deliver it! Trouble was, the customer spent too much time adding stuff to the order, OTL calls it 'Selling The Extras'!

We went down The Sea Wall and although the Snow Fairy hadn't arrived, the cold wind certainly had, it was horrid!

We were keeping as close to the wall or the grass to keep out of the wind, even Holly was feeling the cold!

We had just turned for home when who should come charging down the hill? It was Barney! He had his mates with him as well, Archie and Charlie. We had a run and a chase but we were really interested in getting back to the car!

Archie and Charlie made a fuss of OTL, as normal, an' we all went for a run about to try to get warm!

Like the coat? It lights up at night!

Back home we had our brush and some Lambs Heart then we each found a soft spot for a snooze.

Snowflake got her rope bridge put up in Snowy Heights and had a kick about with her ball that went Tinkle Tinkle when OTL rolled it along the ground!

We told Snowflake all about Lucy and she said that the way to beat her is to play the cute card. 

Then she showed us how she does 'Cute', she said that there was no way she could be beaten on 'Cute'.

Mind you she said, just when they think it's all OK, I give them a bite on the butt, that normally sorts the rabbits out anyway!

Midday arrived and OTL had a spot of lunch before taking us out for our run. It still wasn't snowing, I mean, everywhere else was ten feet deep in snow and what do we have? Frost!

It just isn't fair!

The wind was blowing a bit harder and it was not nice down on the Sea Front. Holly said that she had a wee and when she turned around to check it out all she saw was an icicle!

I think she might have been exaggerating a bit but I know what she means!

We had a race along The Sea Wall to help warm us up but even after a race we both felt cold, so, back to the car and turn on the heaters!

When we got back home there were some very small bits of white stuff falling but you couldn't really call it snow, more like a cold sparrow with dandruff!

If it carries on like this I reckon the Snow Fairy will miss us all together!

No snow, no nibbles, cold wind and no Snow Fairy!

More Frost, No Snow, Yet!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly & Snowflake here again!

Old Two Legs didn't win the lottery last night, so it's back to Doggy Scoff!

Mind you, it was a late night last night, well for us and OTL it was. We stayed up singing songs and watching OTL eat his shortbread and drink his whisky and not even offer us any!

Well, it was his birthday and we are supposed to be on a diet!

So, after the late night, we had a late start to the day, even Snowflake was still asleep!

Holly had to be shoved off the sofa to go out for the morning walk, she really didn't want to move!

Down on The Sea Wall it was frosty again and OTL went off looking for frosty plants and found this sea weed that was all frosty and sparkly!

 As the tide was out, we had a good game of 'Chase The Ball' and even Holly joined in the game! Mind you, she soon got fed up and went back to cataloguing the sniffs on the path!

We spotted a Redshank standing in one of the pools and he was talking to his reflection, really strange! Holly reckons he was cracking up but I said he was practising for the Spring when he would be looking for a mate!

 It was at that point that Mr Corvid flew over with his breakfast and was looking for somewhere quiet so he could enjoy it in peace!

Morning Girls, can't stop, breakfast calls!

 A bit further on we pointed out a strange sight to OTL, a 'Steaming Tree'! Now, you don't see one of those every day! Holly asked when it would burst into flames, just like the cloud did yesterday!

 Holly said that while it may be a bit draughty after a haircut, one good thing was that she could see what was around, so much better than when her hair covered her eyes!

 It was a pity she couldn't see what was making the tree steam!

Back home to a brush and a snooze on the sofa until lunch time. When we got down to the beach the sea looked very strange, no wind, no waves and strange colours!

 It didn't stop us having fun with OTL throwing the ball and then chasing me into the grass!

Holly spotted what she called an 'Inshore Lugger' but I think it's just called a Cargo Vessel! OTL said it looked strange with the sea and sky behind it, so he took a photo!

Back home OTL was bashing away on the computer 'cos he had a customer arriving tomorrow to pick up some stuff!

We have got Jane and Ian coming over for a visit and a meal and of course we will be introducing them to Snowflake then offering them an 'Offer They Can't Refuse'

Give us some of your dinner or we will let Snowflake loose on you!

We'll let you know how we got on!

OTL's a Thousand Years Old Today!

Hello Woofers!

D,H & S back with you today!

It was cold this morning, like extra cold! We went out for our walk with Old Two Legs and guess what? That's right, The Missus stayed in bed and refused to get up! So much for the 'I'll come with you for a walk 'cos I want the exercise'!

We woke OTL up good and early to day 'cos his telephone alarm woke us up! The alarm was to wish himself Happy Birthday, sad or wot!

That meant we were out for our walk early, hence TM not wanting to get out of bed!

The temperature was minus three degrees Celsius!

Of course, OTL was looking for deep frost but surprisingly there was very little of it about on the Sea Wall, just the remnants of last years spiders web!

Last of the Webs!

 As the tide was out, OTL was throwing the ball as hard as he could and I was having fun chasing it, trouble is, OTL is not very accurate when he throws it and normally it lands on the beach, which is a pain in the tail 'cos I have to jump down onto the cold pebbles! After a while I got fed up with all this jumping and tried to get Holly to fetch the ball but she wasn't interested and suggested that if OTL wants it, then he should go and get it!

If he wants it then he can get it!

 We met up with Ellie the Staffy and she was wagging her tail at OTL, as normal, she's a Tart!

OTL was more interested in finding frosty bits and I told him that my tails was feeling frosty, but it wasn't the same!

 We had Chicken and Biscuits when we got back, plus, a spoon full of Doggy Scoff for 'Afters', but we didn't touch that!

OTL gave Snowflake a raw chickens leg, minus the needle bone, and after she had eaten half of it, she spent the morning snoozing!

........and a tummy full of chicken!

Our lunch time walk was a bit cold as well, Holly didn't want to get out from under TM's fleece where she had spent the last few hours, snoozing and woofing at the birds in the garden!

Out we went though, just to keep OTL happy and especially as he had got all dress up in his wind proofs as well!

We met up with Erik down on The Sea Wall, now here is a dog that never seems to get cold during the winter, his fur is about five foot thick!

 With fur that thick it's a wonder he could even sit down!

On the way back home OTL swerved off the road and jumped out of the car to get a picture of a cloud that looked like it was on fire!

We got back and you know what? That Snowflake was still asleep! We can't wait for her harness to turn up, then she will have to come out with us for a walk!

Temptation!

Hello to all you Woofers!

It's Us again, Daisy, Holly and Snowflake!

Well, what happened to the Snow Fairy? She didn't arrive down this end of the world, just a little dusting off her cloak and that was it! We have seen the TV Weather and there are pictures of people with loads of snow but not down in North Kent!

Holly was a naughty puppy last night, just before Old Two Legs went to bed she suddenly decided that she would have a bash at the Doggy Scoff and off she went down stairs as OTL climbed into bed.

About two thirty, Holly was sleeping on the sofa and thought she heard a noise outside, so off she went on her 'Clear Off Burglars or I'll Bite Your Legs' woof. The Missus had to get up and calm her down! Then Holly decided that it would be a good idea to go to her own bed upstairs. So, off she went and took her carrot with her, just in case she fancied a nibble later on.

As she was still upset about the noise she stayed awake, listening, but soon got a bit peckish, so, she had a chew on her carrot which was fresh and crisp and made a loud noise, which woke TM up and had her grumbling for the next half an hour while Holly polished off the remains!

Now, all this late night fun means that Holly didn't want to get up this morning and when it came to going out for a walk, her heart was really not in it! She wanted to go back to bed, but there was no way TM was allowing that, not after the night time woofing and carrot crunching!

Holly just doesn't do mornings!

Mind you, when we got down to The Sea Wall she had woken up and was quite bouncy!

It's not so bad!

I had some fun with OTL, I pretended that I was going to bury the ball in the beach!

Look OTL, bet you can't find this!

TM came with us again but today she put on her 'Bird Watching Coat' and didn't stand out so much but even so, we still reckon she looked like a candle on two legs!

Holly spotted a Trolley that someone had left on the Sea Wall, she said that there were some Two Legs that really had no idea about what constitutes good behaviour!

What is worse, the nearest place they could have got it was at least twelve miles away!

 Some of the Two Legs have got Poo for brains and shouldn't be allowed out on their own!

Back home OTL cleared out Snowflakes cage and let her out for a scamper about while he did it. That's OK while we are out of the office but as soon as we come back OTL has to be on his guard. 

Well, we are Terriers and do things instinctively, like want to take a lump out of Rabbits and Ferrets! 

It's just a Terrier Thing, OK!

Snowflake was doing her 'Investigating' thing and decided to look under the desk, so she scrambled down with her nose and head but forgot that there was no grip and her backside sort of slipped over towards my nose.

I was TEMPTED!

I WAS SERIOUSLY TEMPTED!

But OTL was there and scooped her up before I was tempted too much!

Go on, just a Little Bit of the Flank?

 Lunch time the sun came out and we headed off again. Snowflake is looking forward to getting her harness so she can come with us! I'm not sure that she will be running as far or fast as us but it will be fun.

OTL will be on his guard against doggies and us who might have a go at Snowflake and of course he has to make sure Snowflake doesn't bite any doggies!

Mind you, I wonder how the rabbits will react to a 'Professional Ferret' sniffin about their burrows!

We had some fun playing 'Chase The Ball' and OTL kept throwing it onto the beach and I was getting fed up jumping up and down the wall!

 But at least I did it with STYLE!

 Holly said that I was just showing off, I reckon it was 'cos I can jump higher than her!

 Holly and I are still on this diet, no nibbles from OTL but OTL isn't getting any nibbles either, so that's him on a 'Technical Diet'!

If we suffer then OTL is suffering as well, so we don't feel so bad!

 We are off to finish off the Lambs Heart we had this morning, so, see you tomorrow!

OK, Don't panic, Snowflake was telling Porkies when she said she could type as well as Old Two Legs and Me!

OK, where is F7?

 She says it's because her claws are too long! Too long for typing but normal for a ferret!

We had some fun this morning, we were just getting ready to go out, Holly had her coat on and Snowflake had gone back to bed, The Missus announced that she was coming with us for a walk along The Sea Wall!

Now that was strange but even stranger was her intention of doing some bird watching! I mean, you have to blend in with the surroundings to get to see birdies and rabbits an' stuff like that.

 We tried telling her but once she has got it into mind then there's no changing it!

Back home we had some fun stopping OTL from working, it's very easy you see. All we have to do is have Holly woof at the birds and for me to jump onto the back of his office chair and cuddle up to him.

No work, loads of cuddles and even Snowflake slept all morning!

Lunch time we were down the beach again but this time TM stayed at home. Holly reckons she got fed up with us laughing at her 'Camouflage Jacket'!

 Here we had a picture of TM in her jacket but OTL has been threatened with all manner of nasties if he didn't remove it!

We had our normal game of 'Chase The Ball' and even Holly joined in a couple of times!

I did the 'Pick-up the ball and run into the grass' trick that made OTL grumble but he joined in the fun in the end.

He threatened to throw us both into the Sea!

Then Holly was going on about loosing so much weight with her Slimming Plan that she could fly further than I could and then set about showing us!

OTL laughed at that and said even he could fly further than both of us put together, yeah, in his dreams!

Back home OTL spent the afternoon rearranging Snowflakes furniture. She has asked for a 'Downstairs Bed' and a feeding station and can OTL rearrange the access from the Lounge to the Down Stairs?

Well after much cursing and banging his head we have got it some where near to what Snowflake wants, but she is going to give it a try tonight and see what she thinks!

OTL let her out of the cage several times and it was fun watching Snowflake explore the office. She can now get from the desk top to the floor and run around OTL's feet without any help and she surprised him while he was 'Furniture Shifting'!

Holly is really feeling this diet thing, we got served 'Doggy Scoff' this morning and neither of us has touched it at all today. We have both tried begging and mugging but we couldn't get anything, not even a nibble!

Holly says that she may not last the night, Snowflake asked if Holly dies during the night, can she eat her?

Holly said that she was so hungry she fancied eating almost anything, including 'Ferret Sandwich'!

We may just have a nibble of Doggy Scoff late tonight, if we both don't fade away before then!
