Rush Rush Rush and that's the Day Gone!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly & Snowflake here again!

You know, I started off life with The Missus and Old Two Legs being the only doggy in the house. I had almost total attention to my every need, I got brushed, fed, watered, cuddled, worried over, poo inspected, butt wiped when needed and washed when it got too much!

Then Holly arrived and I had to share everything. Which when you consider that she's my sister, it ain't too bad 'cos we have loads of games and she is there for a chat if TM and OTL are busy doing 'Two Leg' things!

Then Snowflake lands in our garden and things change again. We have to share some of our toys and she gets some of our chicken wings or legs, which we don't mind donating 'cos it must be terrible to be hungry!

OTL keeps a careful eye on us and Snowflake 'cos he says that we are a danger to each other 'cos we might just snap and do each other harm! Not that we would mean to, it's just a sort of natural reaction, as OTL can testify 'cos he has had his hand felt by all our teeth over the time we have been here!

We get to go on adventures, like today down the park. When we get the all clear from the vet, Snowflake will be able to come as well and that will be great fun!

Now today we have  been out for our run along The Sea Wall and of course, woofed at OTL to 'Throw The Ball'. He said that he didn't have it and it was lost!

Silly OTL, we could sniff the rubber ball in his pocket so when he said he didn't have the ball all I said was 'Talk To The Tail'

Talk To The Tail!
Today has been a very busy day for OTL, first of all he had to deliver some stuff to his customers, then down to the repair shop and pick up his big car after they had put some solid gold parts into the workings, well, OTL said that amount they charged him the bits better had be 22 carat gold!

Then we had a couple of hours to kill until he could pick up his new computer. So off we went to the park. It was enormous, it had a couple of big lakes and a golf course, or 'Pitch n Putt' as OTL calls it but whatever they call it, it had sand pits!

Sand pits turned out to be called 'Bunkers' and were part of the game but Holly and I had a great time chasing each other into the sand and digging holes!

OTL was going potty chasing us and filling in the holes after we jumped out to go to the next sand pit!

I reckon we should have them on our beach instead of wasting them on the grass in the park!

There was loads of space to run and chase about and OTL was able to throw the ball as hard as he wanted and not have it go into the lake!

So, now he is up stairs playing about on the new computer trying to get it all working again, ready for tomorrow!

As you have worked out by now, we didn't get many pictures to show you today, unless you want to see a picture of a computer or some nuts and bolts from the car! (Seriously Boring!)

Fingers crossed for OTL and we'll be back tomorrow with more tales of mischief!

Bye bye for now,

Luv,

Daisy, Holly & Snowflake

Computer Problems so Heads Down Girls!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly & Snowflake back again!

We were a little naughty last night, well, Holly was, but I joined in as well!

Around two in the morning, Holly has a real need for a wee, so she did what she always does, she marches down to the kitchen door and does one of her 'Wee Woofs'. The Missus heard her and did what she always does, elbow Old Two Legs and says 'Holly's Barking'!

Down goes OTL, bouncing off the walls and lets Holly out.

Back to bed and settle down for some more sleep.

Around Three Thirty, Holly gets the twinges again, and 'Woof' she goes.

TM sharpens her elbow and manages to crack OTL's ribs again and says 'Holly's Barking'!

Down goes OTL bouncing off the walls again but this time clutching his crumpled rib cage and groaning with the pain.

Out goes Holly and this time I've come down for a wee as well. Holly doesn't want a wee, she has a tummy ache from eating something not on today's menu!

Back to bed to give OTL's ear a lick for letting us out and to give TM a kick for being so cruel to OTL!

Naughty TM!

We went on our morning walk and the wind seemed to be blowing from the North, Holly thinks it is going to get colder and I agree! It didn't stop us from having fun chasing the ball and this time Holly joined in the fun.

How deep are we going?
First of all she helped me dig a hole to bury the ball in so OTL couldn't find it!

Whoops! It's jumped back out!
Then as I dropped the ball into the hole, she was digging the sand out and at the same time threw the ball out! Then she picked it up and ran off with it, leaving me to dig the hole on my own!

Mine! All Mine!
Back home, OTL was mumbling under his breath about the computer 'Throwing a Wobbly' and he was trying to get it to do something or other. It's best to leave him on his own when this sort of thing happens, he normally fixes it but it's the fixing that seems to cause the problems!

Lunch time and we certainly noticed that the wind had moved around and was blowing from The North. We started off by hiding behind the bushes searching for Rabbit Sniff. There were some there but not new enough to go searching for them!

I sniff a 'Two Hour Rabbit'!
There was nothing newer than half an hour which really was too late to do anything, what you need is the 'Just past this way' sniff being about thirty seconds old!

Then I got OTL to throw the ball again, I showed him my 'Fangs' and said if he didn't throw the ball he was getting them in the same place where he keeps his tail!

So There!

Here I come with My Fangs!
The Staffy heard my commotion and ran up offering her ball for a throw but I know she is much faster than me, so it was 'No Contest' before the ball was picked up!

Wanna Play Wiv My Ball?
Back home, OTL unplugged the bits of wire from the computer and left in a huff to go to the Computer Shop where he stayed for most of the afternoon.

When he came back the computer was fixed and he was off again producing bits of paper and stuff!

It doesn't take much to make OTL happy!

Snowflake has been 'Snoozy' today, she had a good feed this morning and that was followed with some raw beef mince, one of her favourite meats, next to chicken!

OTL says that she is a bit strange 'cos she has a super Ssssh bed that is soft and hangs from the cage and swings gently. Then she has the folded up Fleece Jacket from OTL that she can crawl inside and snuggle down for a sleep.

So, what does she choose?

Yep, down she goes to the purpose built Poo Pot that fits into the corner of her cage, drags a bit of cloth into it and falls asleep in that!

There is something strange about Ferrets!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly & Snowflake (Snoozing Still!)

A lonely day without OTL!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly & Snowflake back with you!

A sunny start and we had some fun on the walk this morning, we had a fun time playing 'Chase The Ball', well I did and Holly just played 'Kick The Ball'!

She doesn't do 'Ball Chasing' but we still had fun, especially when Old Two Legs threw the ball and it bounced onto the beach, just where Holly was having a wee.

I came bounding up and caught a sniff of it just before I wrapped my teeth around it.

It was Holly Wee!

We got into a bit of an argument of how we were going to get it back to the path. So we just stood there looking at it until OTL came down and picked it up!

Holly said 'Shall we tell him?'

'No Way' says I!

You wee'd on it, You Pick it Up!
Well, that small problem was solved but when Holly said that she had found some fox poo to roll in I said that she had to 'Go First' 'cos I reckon OTL could still see what we were doing!

He's watching, I just know he's watching!
We decided to have a roll at lunch time when he was busy watching the birds!

There was a large flock of birds flying just off the beach and OTL says that they look like Knot.

Birds, wall to wall and not a chicken in sight!
We got back and OTL cleaned Snowy Heights and filled the drinking bowls. While he was doing that, I was sitting in his office chair looking at what Snowflake was doing! She was having a great time exploring all the places you would never expect a ferret to get into. She was standing on the paper shredder which I thought was a little dangerous!

What's is up here?
It wasn't long before she got up and was looking for more toys to play with.

Now, what's up here?
She has now pinched OTL's little duck that he had as a key fob, then she pinched my 'Squeaky Bone' but the biggest loss is the 'Mini Space Hopper' that Holly and I share as a 'Joint Squeaker'. Not only has she got them but today she has pinched my 'Rope Ball', it doesn't squeak but it is great fun playing 'Tug of War'!

We don't mind her playing with our toys because Holly and I have fun  with the 'Cat Tease' OTL got for her to chase!

It's a Snake, I'm sure it's a Snake!
After all that, OTL went off on his own today, something to do with 'Business', all very boring but it meant that we were all alone with The Missus and she can't throw a ball or get Snowflake out of Snowy Heights for a chase around the office.

Mind you, she did stick her finger through the cage and Snowflake was just a bit slow and missed out on a 'Taste' of TM!

Silly TM, if she does that any more Snowflake will not miss the next time!

OTL got back late but we didn't mind, just as long as he comes back! We gave him a good 'Welcome Home' lick and tonight we will have a cuddle on the sofa!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly & Snowflake

Mondays Funday!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly & Snowflake back with you again!

Snowflake got a pleasant surprise this morning, after a run around Old Two Legs office she got a bowl of Raw Chicken, as a treat 'cos she has been a good little ferret, well you see she hasn't taken any of OTL's blood for a few days!

In fact, last night she licked some Ferretone off his finger then wrapped her teeth around his finger, gave a little squeeze, as if to say, 'Thanks OTL!' and then let go!

Now, OTL thinks that is a big step forward in the Snowflake & OTL relationship so this morning some Chicken!

Now I don't know if Snowflake is showing off but she did the 'Licky Finger trick and grabbed OTL's finger with her teeth and gave another little squeeze, a bit harder than last night but still a 'Friendly Squeeze'!

Mmmm, I'm not too sure what her plan is but I'm keeping a close eye on her!

I'm just being Friendly, Honest!
Holly and I had fun on our walk along The Sea Wall and at one point we were sure we had found a Rats Nest!

I'm Sure it sniffs like a Rat!
We spent so long trying to sniff the rats that OTL had to come back to fetch us away!

So, to make up for being deprived of a good Rat Hunt, we decided to go digging for Sand Rats!

Keep digging I can sniff one, I'm sure I can!
We didn't find one but it was good fun pretending we found one, just to get OTL down on the beach!

Of course, he couldn't find the rat and how we did laugh, in fact he caught me laughing and threatened to unscrew my tail so I'd never be happy again!

I know he wouldn't do that, so I woofed at him and ran off to find Holly!

What a Silly OTL!
Back home again and we found Snowflake had eaten over half of her chicken breakfast and was sleeping it off, just like we do!

There is nothing better than an 'After Meal Snooze' unless you consider the 'After Wake up Snooze' or the 'Before going To Bed Snooze'!

On our 'Lunch Time Walk' we met up with Bonnie, now she is a little terrier who just loves OTL!

She comes bounding up to us, has a quick sniff and then  charges up to OTL and wiggles her tail and jumps up on his lap and licks his hand.

Holly is right when she calls her a Tart!

Yo OTL!
Of course, OTL just loves the attention, he is as soppy as she is, he gives her a tickle behind her ears and then tickles her tail, which makes her giggle, so OTL does it even more!

Bonnie's owner gave her a nibble and offered a bit to Holly and me. Well, Holly had a sniff and decided that after all OTL's hard work, she should refuse the nibble 'cos she is still on this diet.

That was very good of her, so just to help her out by removing temptation, I ate both bits!

Mind you it wasn't that impressive, tasted a bit like smelly cardboard! As OTL has always told us to be polite, I said 'Thank You' and trotted off to hunt for more sniffs!

Bye bye OTL, see you again soon!
Just now Snowflake is finishing off the chicken and OTL has just given her the medicine she must take for a couple more days.

She says it tastes good and she doesn't mind it. That's not what I have found with the stuff I get from the vet, my stuff tastes awful!

We are off now for an evening of fun and entertainment, well, we will fall asleep cuddled up against OTL's leg until it is time to go to bed and he will try not to fall asleep!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly and Snowflake (Still Pigging Out on chicken!)

Lazy Sunday and Snowflake gets Remission!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly & Snowflake here!

What a super lazy Sunday it's been. We were up at our normal time and then went back to bed for an 'After get up Snooze' while Old Two Legs had his shower.

Snowflake was up and looking to OTL to clear the floors and Poo Pans in Snowy Heights. While he did that, she wanted to get out for a run around the office, but OTL said it was too soon.

So she showed off again!

We went out for our morning run and noticed that it was a bit colder than yesterday and that was because of the wind blowing, (wind chill factor) but it didn't stop us from having a game of 'Chase the Ball' with OTL.

Throw The BALL!!
It's good fun when he has to go onto the beach to pick up the ball 'cos we couldn't see where it landed, then he comes up to The Wall and I shout for him to throw it, and he pretends to, but hangs onto it, so I shout some more and so we go on until he throws it!

Now we don't to the 'fetch the ball and drop it at his feet' like those Bozo Labradors and Staffies we meet, oh no, we run off and hide it in the grass and he has to find it!

What did we meet today?

It was Buddy, now Buddy is one of those Bozo Labrador's who does the 'Fetch' thing but he has another trick.

He digs up the grass!

Dopey dog runs into the grass, puts the ball down and then rips up the grass looking for the ball!

His owner says it's because he likes gardening, Holly says it's because he is a Bozo!

Buddy says .........'I do it 'cos It's Fun!'

Wanna Throw My Ball?
Back home we had a brush and got some 'Anti Flea and Other Nasties' drops between our shoulders, it's a bit yucky to begin with but soon dries off!

We were up in OTL's office and Snowflake was getting stroppy again so, OTL decided to create an 'Adventure Run' that would not tax her too much, so, with the aid of some cardboard tubing he made up a trail that went all over the place, but gently!

Then he let her out and we scarpered!

She had a 'Ferret Around' and then explored the run, then came back and did her 'War Dance' which is her way of being excited and wanting to play with OTL by biting his hand! OTL's not that daft and he has one of our toys that he uses to let Snowflake grab and have a little Tug of War!

Then she had a run around and collected all her toys and stored them in her travelling cage so OTL couldn't get them!

OTL got on with some work and after a while noticed he couldn't hear Snowflake scrabbling about, so, very carefully he spun his chair around and saw that she was resting on top of his laptop case, looking tired.

With the aid of a drop of Ferretone she came out and onto his lap where she had a lick of the Ferretone and rolled over to wipe her whiskers on OTL's leg!

Snowflake was then put back into Snowy Heights where after a drink of water, crawled back into OTL's fleece and fell asleep!

Lunch time we were off again and for a change, OTL decided to take the Flash Unit for the camera so that he could play with a bit of 'Fill In Flash'.

'What ever turns you on' as they say!

I don't care about the Flash, Just Fro The Ball!
Then I really got stroppy, well if it works for Snowflake then why not me?

FRO THE WOOFIN BALL!
Of course, Holly, Little Miss Goody Four Paws, decide to pose instead of chasing the ball!

Do I look slim from this side?
While OTL was on the beach he spotted a small fish which he identified as a young Gurnard. It had been dead for some time 'cos it's eyes were clouded and the colour was fading. Still, we had never seen one before, so that was a first!

Gurnard
Back home again and we settled down to watching some Sunday Afternoon TV and we all fell asleep!

That tells you what the TV was like!

After dinner, OTL goes up stairs to give Snowflake her medicine and a little run around. Where he was playing about with the Ferretone, some had got onto his fingers, so guess who now has Ferret Tongue Scarred Fingers!

Still, it made a change from sinking her fangs into him!

Can I come out and Play?
She was let out for a little wander around and a cuddle with OTL or rather, he got a couple more drops of Ferretone on his fingers and she licked it all off!

Then she had a cuddle while licking the Ferretone off her whiskers!

This is the way to do it!
There we are, a fun and lazy day ending up with a cuddle with OTL for Holly, Snowflake and me, it can't get any better!

See you tomorrow!

Daisy, Holly &Snowflake

A Fun Saturday alone with OTL!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly and Snowflake here again!

Snowflake has been showing off. Old Two Legs gave her some medicine this morning and a slurp of Ferretone and while he was cleaning out her cage, she wanted to be let loose in the office. Now, because of her operation, OTL says that she has got to stay in her house for at least five days before he lets her out to run amoke!

Snowflake doesn't like that and this morning threw a 'Strop'. She just threw all the furniture about, her poo tray went crashing across the floor, her food bowl was almost tipped over and she threw all her bedding out of the bed OTL made up for her!

Then she went downstairs to the other poo tray and did the same!

She was right 'Put Out' was our Snowflake!

OTL said she could show off all she liked but she ain't coming out for another two or three days!

So There!

Snowflake showed off by going back to bed in the fleece and didn't come out again until lunchtime!

What a super sunny day today, makes a change from the rain we have had for the last few days.

A Sun Shiny Morning!
It was still a bit quaggy down on The Sea Wall but we still had a game of 'Chase The Ball'!

This is how it's done!
There was a sea gull looking to land in front of us to grab a bit of food off the path but because OTL was standing there, it just hovered around, which was good for OTL to try to photograph it, even with the sun behind it!

Clear Off, I want that food!
It hung around for a while then got fed up with OTL clicking away, it blew a raspberry at OTL and said it was off to see what else was worth eating!

OK, I'm off!
Back home we had a brush and some super Lambs Heart, then we went up to the office for our 'After Breakfast Snooze'. We said hello to Snowflake but she was already snoozing under OTL's fleece, all snuggly and warm and showy off!

This is the Life!
OTL went out to do a bit of gardening but decided that it was too wet for digging, so he just shoveled some stone chips up then chopped down a bush in the front garden that was getting too big to be called a bush!

Lunchtime we were down The Sea Wall again but this time Holly and I decided we would have a look at the sand hills but OTL caught us before we got too far and instead of getting covered is sand, we got spalshed with muddy sandy stuff that sort of stuck to our legs!

I'm more Yellow than You!
We were trotting along the wall and suddenly Holly stopped, what was that noise, is it dangerous, has it got teeth and how big is it?

What the.....................?
She even ran back to OTL for assurance that it wasn't going to eat us! Then we spotted what it was!

Mikes Thing!
It was one of those Mike Things that he plays around with, he calls them a Kite but the only Kite we know is the Red Kite we have seen flying over the fields near the rubbish tip!

But we needn't have worried 'cos before long it got caught up in the tree and couldn't make any more floppy noises!

Get out of that!
Back home we enjoyed the rugby on the TV and then had a bit of a sing song with OTL and chased the birds off the garden.

Snowflake got her medicine and a slurp of Ferretone 'cos she was a good girl!

The Missus got back form her card making and now we are about to sit down to watch a DVD or something!

So, bye bye for now and see you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly & Snowflake

(No stroppy Snowflake showing off tonight and she got another slurp with her medicine!)

Back to the Vet for Snowflake and we get WET!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly & Snowflake back again.

What a Day! Old Two Legs has been rushing around like a Blue Tailed Fly and we had a visitor as well!

First of all we went out for a walk along The Sea Wall, well, it wasn't a walk, rather a paddle! It was pouring with rain, we were swimming, I'm sure we were!

We tried our 'Body Shake' which should get rid of all the loose water on our bodies but today it didn't work, no matter how much we tried!

Gerroff!
By the time OTL decided to head back to the car we were not very pretty looking, all wet damp and unhappy!

I'm fed up with Wet!

Back home we had a good rub down and a brush which set us up for our breakfast, Doggy Scoff!

Oh Dear! We decided it really was the day to go back to bed!

A bit later we had a visit from Auntie Andrea who had come to visit and catch up on all the news!

OTL introduced her to Snowflake who very kindly licked some Ferretone from her finger! Thus proving that Snowflake is a Ferret and not a Rat as Andrea has been saying.

We reckon that Snowflake should have given her a nip just for thinking that!

Later OTL had to go out so The Missus took us on our lunchtime walk and Holly spotted a rabbit and chased it all around the bushes. TM didn't see the rabbit and even managed to loose sight of Holly!

So that meant Holly was in trouble!

I think it's better when OTL takes us out 'cos he understands our Rabbit Hunting needs and keeps an eye on where we are, most of the time!

OTL came back a bit later and took Snowflake down to the vet. Now don't panic, there is nothing wrong with Snowflake, she was just going to have a check by the vet to see how her scar is doing.

Well, she got loaded into her Carry Cage and off they went.

When they got in to see the vet, they saw the one that gave her the Distemper injection which Snowflake remembered was a bit painful and he had held her down by the scruff of her neck as well.

Now, as Snowflake says 'You don't do that to a Ferret and think you can get away with it, we got a memory just like any other animal!'

OTL put the cage on the table and opened the door and called Snowflake to come out. She was a bit slow to come out, so OTL got out the bottle of Ferretone to entice her out.

'Come Here' says the vet, shoving his hand into the cage to drag her out, Silly Vet!

With lightening fast reactions, she spotted who had shoved his hand inside the cage and as Ferrets don't like their space to be invaded she sunk her fangs into the vets hand!

The vet withdrew his hand, quickly, in fact very quickly!

 Yikes! He cried, Aaaa-Haaaaaaah!!!!!!

 'Gotcha!' says Snowflake.

He was the same vet who stuck that needle into me as well and he was the one who shoved a drainpipe into me to embed a chip into my rump!

 Revenge!

Got any more vets I can taste?

OTL opened the cap on the bottle of Ferretone and out came Snowflake took a lick and allowed OTL to pick her up, turn her over and allow the vet to examine her tummy!

You just got to know how to handle a ferret!

Back home Snowflake had us rolling around laughing our tails off when she told us the tale and we cheered at the bit where the vet had to let OTL handle Snowflake!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly & Snowflake

Snowflakes getting better and Holly's on the Run!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly & Snowflake here again!

First of all, Snowflake says 'Thanks' to everyone who sent 'Get Well Soon' cards!

She woke up late this morning and overnight had two poo's and another one after her breakfast!

These ferrets are champions at this poo production, shovel loads of it!

She wanted to get out and have her normal run around the office, exploring all the holes and stuff Old Two Legs has under the work surfaces but OTL made her stay in Snowy Heights.

She wasn't too happy about that, so as OTL put her back onto her bed, she turned around and nipped his finger!

You've got to admire her spirit!

OTL has to give her some medicine twice a day, so what crafty OTL does is to put it in the top of her Ferretone bottle cap together with a couple of drops of Ferretone and it only takes five licks and it's all gone!

Snowflake taking her medicine!
OTL has to do a lot better than that to get me to take any medicine and that includes those horrid Worming Tablets!

We went out this morning and instead of rain there was sunshine! Now that makes a change from snow and windy rain!

We got to The Sea Wall just as High Tide happened and we saw the Surge that happens at high tide. It wasn't very big but you can imagine what it would be like on a stormy day with the wind blowing the wave onto shore, 'Serious Surfing' as Holly would say!

Tidal Surge on The River Medway
OTL and I were playing 'Chase The Ball' and as normal he tried to throw it down the Sea Wall and as normal, it ended up on the beach, but this time I thought I was going to catch it before it went over the edge.

I Missed!

Dog Overboard!
I really shouldn't try to do this ball chasing lark, it really is for Bozo Labradors and Staffy's like this one!

Another Bozo and her Ball!
Holly has been getting into trouble again. She is the one that starts off all the woofing in the house and of course, she is the one that The Missus goes after with the WMD!

Holly was sitting by the front window looking at the world going past when she took exception to a Two Legs that walked past our house. Well, what can a Guard Dog do but to issue the 'Warning Woof, with Attitude'!

That started TM off as well, telling Holly to be quiet, which she didn't, so out comes the WMD and TM marches down the lounge towards Holly.

Holly has been thinking about this and has a 'Cunning Plan'

As soon as TM gets near enough to squirt the water cannon at her, Holly jumps up and runs behind the sofa, sticks her head out of the other end and woofs again!

TM rushes down the whole length of the sofa to get Holly but by now Holly has turned around and legged it back to the window, done a couple more of the 'Warning Woofs, with Attitude' then charges off up stairs to hide in her 'Day Bed' in OTL's office!

Sneaky Holly or wot!

In the office we were in the Day Bed giggling about TM and the WMD when Snowflake stuck her head out from under OTL's fleece and asked 'What does a Girl have to do to get some sleep!

We said 'Sorry' and had a snooze until it was time to go out again!

Snoozing with the sniff of OTL all around her!
Down on the beach Holly was enjoying herself, digging in the seashells at the High Tide mark and she even called out that she was a Beach Babe! I said she looks like a Beached Whale, but I don't think she heard me 'cos she didn't say anything!

A Beach Baby Whale?

We carried on our walk and met up with another of those Bozo ball chasers and as he was on a lead, so, I decided to tease him, by pretending we had a ball in my mouth!

Luk Ir Go' a Bawl here!
Then OTL told us off for teasing him and he woofed at us, the Labrador, not OTL!

Back home Snowflake was awake and moving about, so we asked OTL to take a picture of Snowflakes scar. Well, TM took the picture and OTL held Snowflake!

This is for Auntie Zoe who is into scars, operations and stuff like that!
It all looks like it is healing well and although it is sore and a little bruised, Snowflake says she is feeling better all the time!

So that's it for today, Snowflake has got some more medicine to take before going back to bed again and we are off for a cuddle with OTL while we watch TV.

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly & Snowflake

Snowflake gets a Sore Tummy &The Missus gets WMD!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly & Snowflake here again.

You will excuse Snowflake today but she is a bit groggy and sore from her operation today and has buried herself in OTL's fleece which she loves curling up in!

As Old Two Legs says 'She's had her Bits Sorted'!

She is sleeping at the moment and we are creeping around trying not to make any noise!

Now, we have a serious problem and need some help.

As you know, we are 'Attack Guard Dogs' and we take our job very seriously. Any small, unexpected noise gets attended to and if we feel that some sort of response is required, we provide the response in the appropriate manner!

Now, sometimes that could be a growl or maybe a small woof and even a Loud Woof. There are times when we judge the response requires it to be a Full Blown, Screaming Howling, Snarling & Woofing  type of warning to everyone who can hear us, TM, OTL The Lady next door and the man who lives down the other end of our street!

As experts in guarding we are left alone to decide on the suitable response, normally.

Last night we judged a 'Situation' was developing and did our normal woofing, The Missus shouted at us to stop, we did stop, that was until it started again, so we Woofed again, loudly.

This time we heard TM advancing from behind and expecting her to join in the Woofing we went back to looking for what we were Woofing at.

Then it hit us, WHOOSH! A nasty, unexpected, cold, damp, wet, squirt of water, right up our tails!

Hey! Wot? Yikes! Retreat, Scarper!

There she was with a WMD............Weapon of Mass Drenching!

Holly was shocked into silence, I legged it up the stairs to OTL!

We thought it may have been an isolated occurrence but today when we were woofing at someone walking past our house, WHOOSH! There it was again, another nasty, unexpected, cold, damp, wet, squirt of water, right up our tails!

TM is getting too accurate with that WMD!

What do we do? How do we get that away from her? Is she trying to take over our Guarding Duties or is it she just wants to play with the re used Shower Cleaner Spray Bottle?

Heeeeeeeelp!

It was just about three forty five that the vet telephoned through saying that Snowflake has had her operation and was in 'Recovery' and doing well!

OTL can pick her up any time after four and he has to get instructions on caring for her 'cos she is bound to be sore!

As you can imagine, we were all happy with the good news and couldn't wait to have her back home.

She was a bit 'Hyper' as OTL calls it, at the vet, she was glad to get out, jus' like me, and after getting her back home OTL gave her the medicine to help her sore tummy.

Then she dug a hole in the folds of OTL's  fleece.

He has folded it up and put it in the bottom of the top floor of Snowy Heights,  and now she is snoozing.

Well she needs the rest and she says she is glad to be back home with us all!

So, that is it for today, OTL has been working, TM has been attacking us, and Snowflake is out of it all together!

Sorry about the lack of photos today but it has been all sort of hectic!

See you tomorrow and Snowflake has promised to show us her scar and OTL may even photograph it!

Busy, Busy!

Hi Ho Woofers!

Daisy, Holly & Snowflake back with you after a busy day today!

We woke up late this morning, Holly was fast asleep, even after Old Two Legs got out of bed!

I don't know why she was so tired, she spent last night sleeping on the chair with OTL, then she bagged the best spot for and 'After Wake Up Snooze'!

Snoozing as an Art Form!
And, after all that, she said that she really didn't feel like going for a walk first thing 'cos she didn't have any energy!

OTL insisted, so she struggled out of the duvet and just managed to get downstairs before OTL sent The Missus up to sort her out!

Down on The Sea Wall we watched a ship go by, heading for the docks. On the side was writing saying that it was Sea Cargo. Now don't get me wrong, but what else  could it have been? I mean, you wouldn't put 'Train Cargo' on the side of a ship would you?

What about Road Cargo going by Sea?
Holly was telling a story about meeting up with a big fox when she was a small puppy and being a bit scared 'cos it was about five feet tall and it had a big mouth full of very sharp teeth!

Just as she got to the part about the teeth, there was a rustling in the grass and we both stopped and at the same time said 'Wossat?'

Whaaaaaaa?
I was still a bit nervous even after we saw a pigeon fly up from the grass and I kept looking back to see if anything was following us!

Well, you can't be too careful!
We met up with Sally, we had met her a couple of times before but have never stopped for a chat. This time she was looking out to sea and staring very hard at the water. We thought there was some thing wrong and asked if we could help. 'Well young ladies', she said, 'I lost my ball here last year and I'm looking to see if it is floating on the water'

Holly and I said we couldn't see it and hurried off. We only just made it around the corner before we both burst out laughing!

I lost it over there!
As we got closer to the car, we spotted this very old dog having a sniff. She was a bit shaky on her legs so we didn't rush over to her. Another reason was that she had a big yellow balloon tied to her collar. OTL asked her owner if it was her birthday but they said that she was deaf and it was a good way of keeping track of her. They also said that she was twenty one years old, which in doggy years is very very old!

Lady, twenty one years old!

Back home and next OTL was off doing the rounds with his customers and he didn't get back until late.

Snowflake was telling us some stories about hunting rabbits, 'cos she knows we like chasing them.

She told us how she would sneak through the undergrowth and make sure she was 'Down Wind' of the rabbits.

You creep slowly through the undergrowth!
Then, as you get closer, you get right down onto your tummy and move forward by dragging your body along the ground with just your claws.

It is only when you are less than a couple of feet away from the rabbit, you jump up, run over and sink your teeth into the rabbits bottom!

Jus' Like This!
Snowflake says that the rabbits think it great fun 'cos they think they are so good and spotting anyone creeping up on them, especially clumsy dogs like us!

We thought that was a great tale and then Snowflake told us about this morning when OTL let her out of Snowy Heights. First thing in the morning, OTL clears out Snowy Heights and gets rid of the poo an stuff. While he's doing that Snowflake has a run around the office exploring any new places she can find and then she tries to get OTL to have a game with her.

The way a ferret invites you to play is to do a 'War Dance' then rush up and nip you. Well. it works with other ferrets but OTL's skin is a bit softer than a ferrets and he always ends up with loosing some more blood.

At least now he can make out the difference between a playful nip and an annoyed nippy sort of bite.

A playful nip only leaves two puncture holes but a bite leaves four!

Snowflake in the middle of a 'War Dance'!

OTL says that he would prefer Snowflake uses her tongue rather than her teeth but as Snowflake points out, 'I just get Carried Away'!

Come On, Have a Game!

Another game that Snowflake loves is finding places to crawl into and wriggle along until she falls out the other end. A bit like a rabbit hole or a rats nest!

Now, OTL's trousers seem to fit that description and a few times she has got as far as his shin before deciding that her claws won't dig into flesh like they can on socks, so she backs out!

OTL, being a sneaky Two Legs, has found the perfect protection against this attack by Snowflake!

Curses! Foiled Again by OTL!
See you tomorrow and claws crossed for Snowflake and lets hope her tummy is not too sore!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly & Snowflake (How do I get down the top of his trousers?)
