Soaked, Again!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

We had some fun this morning, Old Two Legs was up a bit late this morning, something about being tired!

He should go to bed earlier then!

We went out for our morning walk but when we got to the car park, down came the rain, in bucket loads! There was a fox wandering around in the rain looking for rabbits.

Well, we went potty, woofing and growling and it was so loud that he ran off!

After the rain stopped, we went out for a stroll, well the ferrets did.

Wot! No Beach?
We were waiting for our run along the Sea Wall and even Holly got bored waiting for the ferrets and sat down, saying, 'Tell me when they've finished!'

I'm Bored, Just tell me when it's finished!
While the ferrets were ferreting and Holly was showing off, OTL was trying some Fungi shots with the little 'Point & Shoot' camera but he couldn't get the focusing right!

Plants are OK but the Fungi is out of focus!
I was having fun 'Sniffin' the Sniffs' and sorting out the different sniffs, Ferrets, Foxes and Rabbits!

Jus' Sniffin' the Sniffs!
Once the ferrets were back in their travelling cage in the car we were off for our stroll and you know what? The sun came out, just ahead of the next rain shower!

The Sun!
Lucky for us, we were back in the car just before the rain started!

Back home to a Chicken Breakfast and a snooze on OTL's bed! Well, that was the dream, instead it was Doggy Scoff and another hungry day without food!

Holly says she is going to leave home soon and get lost so she ends up in the Doggy Home, at least, she says' she will get some real food!

Which way to get lost?
Lunch time we were down the Sea Wall and it was sunny, so I was up for a swim 'cos the tide was right in and there was just some gentle wave lapping the shore.

I found a bit of wood and OTL tossed it into the sea and in I went!

and I lost it!

OK Where is it?
I had to turn around and do another search and at last I spotted it, grab it and back to shore!

Look! I Got It!
We had some fun in and out of the water while Holly sat and watched. She said it was too cold for swimming!

OTL found another fungi all on it's own so he tried some low level photography with a bit of 'Zoom' so that the fungi was in focus but all around it was a 'Soft Focus' that's what he calls Bokeh, sounds too technical for me!

Fungi and Bokeh!
Back home I got wrapped up in The Missus fleece and drifted off into a super snooze where I dreamt I was swimming across the Medway to Sheerness!

Scary or Wot!
Not sure what OTL has got for dinner tonight but I reckon Holly and I will be in serious 'Mugging' mode!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

A Saturday with OTL.

Hi Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Today The Missus is off to her Allhallows Crop, or as we call it 'The Glitter & Glue Gathering'!

That means Old Two Legs is in charge until she comes back. So, OTL's first command was 'An extra ten minutes in bed!' Ooh! Hi is so Bossy sometimes!

That means though, he is late for his Rowing Exercise Machine, mind you, he did get his one thousand strokes in thirty minutes, so at least he kept up that bit!

Snowflake and Mr Brambles enjoyed a bowl of Lactose Free Milk each and then set about chasing each other around the office while OTL had his 'Rabbit Food and milk!

We were soon off for our walk and OTL was keeping his eyes on the sky 'cos rain has been forecast for today, loads of it!

We had some fun looking for rabbits but they had been warned about the rain, they had been out earlier for breakfast and now were back in their burrows snoozing!

When we got to the beach, along came Max and Oscar, who started to take an interest in the ferrets. OTL lifted Mr Brambles up to say 'Hello' but both dogs looked like they wanted to play a game called 'Let's Eat a Ferret'.

OTL kept an eye on them and wouldn't put Mr Brambles down until they had moved off.

So, there we were, on the beach having fun while the two Bozo Dogs were walking along the Sea Walk looking down at the ferrets. Mr Brambles got fed up with them looking at him and gave what he called 'The Ferrets Farewell'!

The Ferrets Farewell!
 That sorted those Bozo's out!

Back home it was Lambs Heart followed by a slurp of the ferrets milk and a snooze to let it all go down!

When ever I woke up it was raining, first just a dribble then a proper rain then just dribbling again, it just wouldn't stop.

Come lunch time I was getting a bit fed up and decided that if OTL put my rain coat on me, I might just risk a walk!

I'm still not too sure!
We got there and it was still dribbling down but I needed a wee, so off we set.

By the time we got down to the Sea Wall I knew we had made a mistake and was in a mind to turn around and head back to the car!

I tried the old 'I don't like it' look and even had a woof but OTL said it just as far back to the car if we carried on or if we turned back.

I really don't like this any more!
Then, as I was walking along the shore, I noticed that the tide was right in and there was no big waves and the water didn't look cold and I thought, 'What about a swim?'

OTL said that if I couldn't put up with a bit of rain, then what is the benefit of getting soaking wet all over?

Well, it seemed a good idea at the time!

Reasons To Sulk           1. Not allowed to swim!        2.  It's still raining.     3.   I'm still getting wet.
So I sulked all the way back to the car and even woofed at a couple of Two Legs who were walking in the rain............Bozo's!

Back home to a nice warm comfortable bed to snooze the rest of the afternoon away. TM should be back by about five after she has put all the tables and chairs away.

I think I'll tell her about OTL not letting me go for a swim!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Important Information to all Woofers!

Hi Folks!

We're back again, Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

What a morning!

We were out good and early this morning 'cos Old Two Legs has loads of paperwork to do today, something about the VAT Quarter!

We looked out the window and saw it was all misty, I mean more like fog than mist but we know it wasn't real fog, it just looked like it!

There were spiders webs all over the place hung with water droplets from the mist and the grass was soaking wet!

We were diving in and out of the grass looking for rabbits and Mr Brambles was doing the same but he could only go as far as the lead would let him, which wasn't very far!

OTL put Snowflake down on the path so she could have a wee in the grass instead of wee'ing all over OTL's expensive coat!

Mind you, once she had wee'ed, she was back to OTL, scrambling up his leg to get back to the warm spot in the crook of his arm!

There she stayed until we all arrived at the beach and then we all had a good time digging holes and chasing each other, except OTL, he didn't dig any holes but he did chase us all!

Back home we all got a second rub down with our towels, including the ferrets and went off to breakfast, Chicken & Biscuits!

It was afterwards that we all got together in OTL's office waiting for our midday walk, that is after our morning snooze to get over the breakfast.

Holly started it off by saying that not everyone could be a Bozo. Mr Brambles asked her to explain.

Well, says Holly, taking a deep breath, to add effect and show that she was going to say a very long sentence!

'There are many Two Legs we meet and there are loads of dogs we meet and loads of Two Legs and loads of dogs that read our little blog and I was thinking that some are Real Bozo's and some are Real Dopey Bozo's and some are not really Bozo's at all but act a bit 'Bozo' just for fun.'

I told you it was going to be a long sentence!

Mmmm, we all said in unison, and your point is? 'What we should do is to arrange these Bozo' into some sort of order.'

Mmmm, we all said together, and what do you propose? Holly took another deep breath, this one is for effect rather than a long sentence.

'First of all, any Woofer who is a Follower of our blog can't, at any time, be a real Bozo. They can act like a Bozo if they want to have some fun but they are not 'Real Bozo's'

'Hang on,' says Mr Brambles, 'I hear no mention of Ferrets in your proposal!'

'Patience,' says Holly, 'I have yet to arrive at the sub species of Woofer yet'

'We are not a Sub Species' says Mr Brambles, we are FERRETS and sometimes we like to play Bozo's for fun!

'OK', says Holly, getting a bit flustered! 'All Followers and OTL and The Missus and ferrets, are not Bozo's

Snowflake said that OTL was only a Bozo when he was paddling that machine around the office first thing in the morning. I mentioned that he acts like a Bozo by calling and whistling when we were stalking rabbits and Mr Brambles said that he liked a cuddle with OTL before going to bed at night 'cos he got some Ferretone as well and no one who gives out Ferretone could be a Bozo in his eyes!

We agreed on that point, however, I pointed out that TM acts like a real Bozo when she get going on her cards, all that Splodging an Splatting and Whacking and Scrunching and Distressing and that's before she gets to the Glitter and Glue!

'Well, again' says Holly, 'TM will have to be a special exception as well!

So, there are no Bozo's on this blog except OTL and he has immunity 'cos he is OTL!

After that we went out for our lunch time walk and walked into a big Bozo Labrador!

You are and Official Bozo!
It didn't help having Holly stand behind me calling out, Bozo! Bozo! Bozo! Bozo! Bozo!

We also spotted the Winter Wheatear, this is the one that turns up each winter with a couple of his mates!

I'm not a Bozo, I'm a Wheatear!
As the tide was in there was the normal gang of fishermen scattered along the Sea Wall  and Holly was doing her normal 'Inspections!

I've told you before, No Sandwiches, No Strokes!
We thought we had lost OTL at one time and it was only me standing on my back legs that helped spot him.

Yep! There he was taking pictures of a Fungi, again!

We've seen it before but can't remember it's name!
So, there we are, a fun day out with OTL and a momentous decision that none of us are Bozo's, except OTL, but he has immunity!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

It's the Sun Again!

Hi Woofers!

We're back again! Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

It was super out first thing this morning, the sun was poking out from behind the clouds and the wind had dropped from yesterday.

We were out of the car and rabbit chasing while Old Two Legs got the ferrets all strapped up in their harnesses. By the time he was ready we had disappeared into the brambles and were in serious 'Hunting Mode'!

We didn't even hear OTL call us, not that we would have paid any attention anyway!

So, off he went with the ferrets leaving us hunting.

It was only when Holly mentioned that we hadn't heard OTL calling or whistling for some time that we decided to go and look for him as he may have fallen in a ditch or got dragged into the brambles by the ferrets!

We found him a bit further down the path walking both ferrets who were having a good old sniff!

Down on the beach we dug some holes and Mr Brambles and Snowflake ferreted around in the sea weed to see if there was any other signs of ferrets or weasels or stoats, but we couldn't find a thing. Just the spot where Snowflake had a wee yesterday!

Stoatally Weasel Free Here!
Of course, Mr Brambles just had to dig another hole. Holly did suggest that we loan him out to the Wormy Men to dig for worms but Mr Brambles said he had better things to do than dig for worms!

This Looks a Good Hole Site!
Snowflake zoomed off to the rock fall and did a bit of 'Speed Scrambling' she says that seeing OTL thrashing away on the rowing machine in the mornings has given her an idea for a fitness regime and it going to be called 'Ferret Fit' and it involving eating breakfast first thing then a run up the rocks and back home to sleep.

Well, she reckons it was just made for ferrets!

'Speed Scrambling' on the concrete rocks!
Holly says that ferrets are masters of the art of sleeping!

We left them snoozing when we went out at midday, TM and her mate Helen were down stairs slopping the Glue and Glitter about so we reckoned the safest place to be was miles away down on the Sea Wall!

It was sunny when we got there and the tide was in!

We spotted a fisherman who had the day off, so he was enjoying his time down on the beach. He hadn't caught anything yet and he didn't have any sandwiches left either, which was a big disappointment to Holly!

Anything Edible?
To make up for it I pointed out that the tide was in and you know what that means?

Time for A Swim!

Periscope Up!
It was good fun and there were some gulls on the breakwater watching me as well!

Go Doggy Go!
A bit further on down the path I heard a rustling in the grass and did my 'Wossit?' stance, this always gets OTL's attention.

It turned out to be a Dragon Fly that was having a snooze in the grass and had slid down the grass and got caught up in the stalks!

OTL did a bit of 'Gardening' which allowed it to climb back up and as a thank you the dragon fly allowed OTL to take a couple of photo's before flying off!

If only we had a Tripod!
The trouble with OTL is that the tripod is always at home and the wind is too high, you just can't please him!

It's Too Windy!
OTL said I was a clever puppy for finding the dragon fly and to let him know if there are any more on our walk!

Back in the car I was up the back getting the sun shine on me to try to dry off. Holly, sitting in the passenger seat was saying that she was perfectly dry and OTL should leave now for home!

Home, OTL and don't spare the horses!
When we got back we discovered that The Missus had put our dinner out.............Doggy Scoff!

Will she never learn!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles

Another Wet One!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles back with you.

It has been one of those Yucky Autumn Days today. We were out first thing with the ferrets this morning and the grass was dripping with rain drops. Holly and I just dashed through it all enjoying the splashing of the water onto our noses!

Mr Brambles was doing his thing on the path, digging holes, and Miss Snowflake just wanted to stay wrapped up in Old Two Legs arm!

Well, remembering her need to have a wee pretty early in the walk, OTL put her down on the ground and walked a few feet away and made her walk around a but. It was only when she decided to have a wee that OTL crouched down and called her using his special 'Ferret Call'.

She came rushing over to him and jumped up onto his lap then dived onto his arm and stuck her head into the crook of his arm out of the way of the wind!

There she stayed until we all reached the beach where she knew she had to 'Get Off and Walk'!

I Jus' Love a Good Hole!
That was OK 'cos she had spotted young Bryn walking down the Sea Wall path and he is always good for a game!

Today Mr Brambles was calling out to him but all he could see was Snowflake in OTL's hand. 'Er, your voice sounds different' he says looking totally confused, that was until Mr Brambles called out again from the beach, 'Ere', says Bryn, 'You said that without moving your mouth!'

We all had a good laugh about that and in the end Bryn looked over the path edge onto the beach to see Mr Brambles laughing his tail off!

Holly says that Bryn can be a real Bozo sometimes!

I'm Not a Bozo!
Back home it was Chicken this morning and we both had a really good scoff before retiring to bed for our 'After Breakfast Snooze'

Lunchtime was not fun. First of all it was raining, not too heavily, but enough to get you wet. Secondly, we went around the garage and got the small car fired up. We had to use the big car to get some electricity into the small car 'cos it has been sitting for almost a month without being used.

Now there's nothing really wrong with the small car but it is just not as comfortable to ride in as the big car!

Off we went to the Sea Wall again and we made sure that we did all we needed to do and get to the shortcut before OTL, then we sort of sidled up the shout cut, looking behind us to make sure OTL was following and as soon as we saw him turn the corner, off we ran, all the way back to the car!

Come on! Back to the car!
Back home it was a case of 'Find somewhere warm and curl up' I chose the bed and Holly decided to crawl under The Missus fleece!

So, another super sleepy day, even if we did get wet! Mind you, OTL also got as wet as us but he didn't have a towel to give himself a rub down with, only ours which were wet and damp once we had finished with them!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Guess Where We've Been?

Hi Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

We saw the sun this morning, what a change from a couple of weeks ago when it was all 'Sunshine & Sand'!

Although the wind was blowing it wasn't too cold and both Mr Brambles and Snowflake had a good run.

Down on the Beach I asked if we can go in swimming but Old Two Legs said that we didn't have a towel in the car and he didn't want his seats to get wet!

Spoil Sport!

Well, how about a little Paddle?
Both of the ferrets had fun digging holes but it took some 'Tough Love' to get Snowflake to enjoy the beach, all she wanted to do was have a cuddle and wee on OTL!

Come On, Just a Little Wee?
Mr Brambles, as normal, was getting into trouble and this time he found an old nibbles packet, thrown away by some Bozo Two Legs, so he stuck his head inside for a sniff and couldn't get it off again!
Oi! me 'ead's Stuck!
OTL had to get it off his head before he could carry on digging a hole!

Wotcha Reckon on The Hole then?
Miss Snowflake was rooting around in some sea weed and decided that there was no way that she could ever eat the stuff 'cos it was so salty!

This is Yuk before you even get near to it, how could anyone eat it!
Of course, they both enjoyed the scramble through the rocks on the way back. Mr Brambles want to try it after it gets some ice on it from the sea, he reckons that he would need and Ice Axe and Crampons and he asked OTL to have a look on the Internet to see if there were any his size!

This would be good for a Winter Climb!
Back home it was Lambs Heart today, so the rest of the morning was spent 'Resting' on the bed sleeping it off!

Mr Brambles must have damaged his wart again 'cos there was some blood on his coat and OTL had to wash it off with some warm salty water. Holly said it might have been a good idea if we just dipped him in the sea and wrung him out!

Mr Brambles said that if Holly came close enough he would give her a kiss for coming up with such a brilliant idea, just wait while he sharpens his fangs!

Lunch time came and I decided that we should go  out a little earlier 'cos the sun was poking through the clouds and on top of that OTL had promised we could go down The Forest again!

Off we went leaving the ferrets asleep in their house.

When we got there we were shocked!

They have been slashing away with the chain saws and ripping up all the bracken and mowing the grass and making life unbearable for OTL's Fungi!

There used to be loads of fungi here!
It was terrible! There were tractor tracks everywhere and on top of that we were almost run down by a bunch of  walkers whose combined ages must go into the millions! I swear there was not one under the age of seventy!

Stampeding OAP's!
Once we had let them stomp past, there, standing by the path were the Highland Cattle that were there to chomp away all the bracken. Trouble was, they were on a 'Lunch Break' and had decided to have a break from chomping!

One even tried to charge OTL for reading the notice! Silly cow, trying to get OTL to part with money? She might as well have tried to fly!

Oi! Five bob to read The Notice!
We found some Fungi for OTL but it wasn't anything exciting, just the normal stuff, all the good fungi had been wiped out by the mowing machines!

Not very exciting!
I went off hunting squirrels but they were hiding up in the trees keeping out of the way of those nasty chain saws!

Shss! I thing I hear one!
OTL found some more Fungi, not very pretty, so he tried to play about with the light to make them more interesting!

This was on the 'Vivid' setting.
Then he found this bunch at the bottom of a tree where they couldn't get their chain saws!

Hiding in the Forest!
So, back home we went to have an afternoon snooze before mugging time!

Not sure what we are doing tomorrow 'cos they forecast more rain in the morning, lunch time and afternoon!

I think we will be spending tomorrow with our legs crossed, unless OTL lets us wee on his coat like he does Snowflake!

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles (Wounded)

Autumn is Here!

Hello Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

It has been yet another wet and windy day here in North Kent and Old Two Legs got wee'd on again!

Snowflake says it's 'cos it was just too cold and windy and she just couldn't help it!

OTL was OK about it 'cos the rain washed it off as we were heading back to the car!

After our protest yesterday, we got Chicken this morning, freshly cooked, just the way we like it!

After a good feed, we spent most of the morning snoozing which was OK really 'cos OTL was working away in the office getting some stuff ready to send out this afternoon.

The lunch time walk was fun, we saw a Curlew out on the mud digging away and of course OTL was there clicking away.

If anyone says 'Watch The Birdy' I'll Scream!
Then a Little Egret flew past, so Click, Click again!

Zoom! ZOOM!!
Then we tripped up over some Fungi, so Click Click again!

Oh No! Not more Blooming Fungi!
It was then that Holly gave a shout and ran off up to the Westie that appeared on top of the hill!

Hey! Look! It's Dave!
You know, it was a good job young Dave arrived on the scene in time to give us a break from OTL's Clicking!

Of course, it was a quick 'Hello' to us two then off he went to get a 'Tail Tickle' from OTL

Hello OTL!
Back home via the Farm Shop to get some seed for the garden birds. We went up to the office to tell Snowflake and Mr Brambles about Dave and the Curlew but they were just too sleepy!
If you 'aint got Ferretone then I don't want to know!
Mind you, I know how they feel I just had to have a snooze on the bed to rest my legs after our run!

OTL has been talking about going down to the Forest again to do some Fungi Photos, providing it doesn't rain of course!

Fungi Photo's? You can tell Autumn has arrived when OTL starts to get down on his knees to take pictures!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles

And Didn't it Rain!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles back with you again!

What a wet day today down in this part of the world!

We were up good and early to get all of The Missus gear shipped to the Village Hall for the second of her 'Master Classes'. This one is for 'Journals' and as we see it, it is a book of classy designs, loads of ink sploshing and stencils and air brush machines and other technical stuff!

Now normally if you do a picture or card and it doesn't work out or you make a mistake you can screw it up and start again, but you can't do it with this 'cos it's a book of stuff and you can't afford to make a mistake or the whole book is ruined!

Dangerous stuff this crafting!

When Old Two Legs started to load up the car, the rain started as well, then it came down a bit heavier. Holly and I stayed indoors!

OTL called me to jump into the car and get ready, so I rushed down the path and straight into the back of the car, tripping over TM sandwiches!

Next OTL called Holly who came to the front door, looked out, decided she would pass on the promised walk and returned to the comfort of the sofa!

It took OTL to go and pick her up and transport her under his arm to the car!

Not a Happy Puppy!

Well, she was right, as soon as we got to the Sea Wall and got out of the car, the Deluge arrived and we all got soaked. Even the ferrets wanted to go back! Mr Brambles was straining on the lead to get back, Holly was sitting in the middle of the field refusing to go further, Miss Snowflake ran up OTL's leg so he had to pick her up and as soon as she got into his arms she buried her head in his coat.

Then she did a wee over his hand 'cos although she didn't like the rain and wanted to keep dry, she really did fancy a wee!

We all had a laugh about that back in the car!

Back home we all got a rub down, for the second time, and Holly and I crashed out on the sofa to watch the F1 racing but immediately fell asleep!

Mr Brambles had his breakfast and also fell asleep!

So that left Snowflake and OTL to have a game with her squeaky toys!

First My Bone!
Snowflake likes the bone 'cos the squeak has gone so she pretends it is squeaking and laughs all the way down the tunnel!

As soon as the toys were stashed down in the box, OTL would empty them back into the paper box an off we go again!

I remember this one from last time!
It amazes us how much fun a ferret can get from moving squeaky toys around the room. Snowflake just loves putting them in 'Safe' places where OTL can't find them, but he always gets them in the end and off we go again!

Now, just put that one back!
We have been using the camera without any flash or lighting so just for a laugh, using Photoshop, I have 'Inverted the colours of Snowflake and came up with this picture!

She does look Grumpy like this!

I'm not a Grumpy Ferret, I'm a Grumpy Ferrets Mum, and I'll keep on being Grumpy 'till Someone Tickles my Tum!
Pretty soon OTL had to pick up Snowflake 'cos she had fallen asleep in the box. So he carefully put her into her bed and left her to snooze the afternoon away!

Lunch time came and the rain was still raining and the ground was getting wetter and the pond was full to the brim!

Getting Full!
Holly and I decided that it may be a good idea to stay in doors and keep dry! OTL had other ideas!

Off we went and you know what? It stopped raining the moment we got there! Holly and I were off chasing rabbits as soon as we got out of the car, it took OTL quite a while to find us both!

We met up with Mr & Mrs Corvid who were having a snack on the breakwater.

Just a Snack at Lunchtime!
Holly spotted an old fork on the shore and reckons a Wormy Man had lost it or the fork had lost the Wormy Man!

Wot! No Wormy Man?
The sky didn't look too inviting, so we didn't hang around too long and headed back to home

Dark Clouds full of Rain
When we got home OTL said that TM had left some food for us!

IT WAS ROTTEN DOGGY SCOFF!!!!!!!

That's it, she is not going to get a welcome lick when OTL brings her back, were on strike, no decent food equals no licks!

We are going to cuddle up to OTL tonight, TM has blown out all together!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly (Both Starving Hungry), Snowflake and Mr Brambles.
