Big Flea's Have Little Flea's Upon Their Backs To Bite 'em!

Hello Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

We played our joke on Old Two Legs again this morning, but he didn't get a chance to start paddling before Holly went crashing through the office door again and jumped up onto his lap and gave him a lick on the nose!

Then I rushed in and jumped onto his lap as well and he nearly fell of the Rowing Machine!

We decided to leave him alone to get his exercise and headed down to see what The Missus was doing!

It wasn't raining when we went down the Sea Wall, however, it was a bit chilly but at least the rain held off!

Snowflake was doing her, 'Can we go home yet?'

Come on, let's go home, I'm cold!
She got all interested when she found what she called a 'Surf Board'!

I thought it was just a big plank but she said that if we had some waves we could ride them!

Look Girls! A Surf Board!
I pointed out that the waves were miles away 'cos the tide was right out but she said we should dig a big hole and bury it so we could play with it when we are next down there.

OK, I thought, I'll help her out by digging a hole but when I saw the size of the board I suggested we hire a JCB!
Here's a Hole for you!
Back home there was Chicken waiting for us and OTL was off down to the town while we enjoyed our breakfast!

Lunch time it was Yuk! Drizzly Rain and big puddles and wet paws!

Next time I'm bringing my Wellies!
Back home OTL went back to playing with the camera and found another dead moth on the window ledge. So, off he went trying different things like turning the lens around on the camera!

This moth was held in place by a splodge of Heat Sink Compound which is an electrical thingy wotsit OTL uses sometimes.

Mortified but fresher!
As he was playing about he noticed a little bug crawling out from under the moths wing. It moved like an inch worm and disappeared under the wing again. So, with the aid of a pair of tweezers, he lifted up the wings and searched for the bug but couldn't find it. What he did spot was an egg! So it looks like the bug laid an egg on the dead moth!

OTL told us of a bit of a poem he knows.

Big fleas have little fleas,
Upon their backs to bite 'em,
And little fleas have lesser fleas,
and so, ad infinitm.

Can you see it?
Next experiment is to have the camera with a lens on it as normal but then mount another lens on the front, in reverse!

Now that should be fun!

OTL reckons we could then see the hairs on a Gnats Backside!

What ever turns you on!

We're off to do some mugging now, so bye bye for now and see you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

It can be Dangerous Here!

Hi Woofers!

Were back again, Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

You know that Old Two Legs gets up early to have his splash and paddle around the office? Well, he likes to get up early 'cos that way he can do all his paddling in private and not have anyone laugh at his technique, you know, thrashing around as if he was drowning!

Holly, being a right pickle of a puppy, has been getting up about ten minutes or so after OTL gets up, waits until OTL is well into his paddling, then she bursts through the office door and jumps up the side of him and gives him a big 'Good Morning' lick on his ear!

Well, that puts OTL off his stroke and he just collapses across the oars laughing, Holly and I are laughing as well and that of course gets the ferrets laughing as well!

Our walk along the Sea Wall was a bit damp and it took Snowflake a bit longer to warm up before she set off for the car!

Mind you, we did see her hiding behind a clump of grass saying that it was less windy there!

Not So Drafty Here!
She decided to stay a bit longer and called out that she was hiding and we were to use our noses to search for her.

Holly was sitting on top of the Sea Wall, right above where Snowflake was hiding and pretending she hadn't seen Snowflake, started to call out that Snowflake was lost and we should all search for her along the waters edge!

Oh No! Where has Snowflake gone!
Of course Snowflake soon worked out that Holly was only joking and called her a cheeky puppy!

Then all of a sudden, Snowflake dived into the sea shells on the beach saying that she could sniff ferret!

She was getting all excited and saying that it might be a lost and lonely ferret who needed to be rescued like wot she was and OTL would look after the little lost ferret and she would give it lots of cuddles and keep it warm.

I Sniff a Lost Ferret!
Holly came down from the Sea Wall to have a sniff and declared that the sniff was indeed ferret, but it was an old wee spot that Snowflake had done yesterday!

Snowflake was so embarrassed!

Back home we all burst through the door to find Auntie Sheila there with The Missus making cards and sloshing the glue pot about.

'Come on' says Holly, heading for the stairs, 'Let's get the Woof outta here before we get covered in Glue & Glitter and end up like a sparkly ball of fur!

Auntie Sheila, one of the Glue & Glitter Girls!
Lunchtime came and we went for our walk again but it was raining and after OTL had kicked us out of the car we had a little mooch about and tried to get back into the car, Holly and I just don't do rain, it's too dangerous 'cos you can get a cold and The Snuffles and you could end up in bed feeling all rotten!

The afternoon was spent snoozing on the bed while OTL was playing about with his camera. He was trying to take a picture of a long dead moth. One of those tiny moths that seem to appear on a summers evening and fly around the light.

Well, this one has been laying dead on the Office window ledge for ages and was about to get vacuumed up, together with the inch of dust that OTL keeps there as well!

But just for fun it became the 'Model' for the shoot!

Mortified Moth, Head On!
Now, just to let you see what sort of size it is, the picture below is the moth, on top of a drawing pin!

The drawing pin was stuck in the top of a wooden something or other that has been kicking around the office for years, we think it held the roll of paper kitchen towel!

Still Mortified!
By the way, did you like the play on the word Mortify? It was Holly's idea 'cos she is clever like that!

TM's off to her Master Class tomorrow so OTL has been instructed to get on with the decorating that he should have finished ages ago!

Tomorrow we are looking forward to a good long snooze while he is working!

Bye bye for now!

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles

Whizz Bangs, Cuddles and Sniffs!

Hello Woofers!

Here we are, Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

After we posted the blog last night Holly and I successfully mugged Old Two Legs for some Gammon from his dinner plate! Mmmmm!

We all settled down to a snoozy evening when some Bozo of a Two Legs started letting off loud Whizz Bangs that got Holly all wound up again.

This time we knew exactly what she wanted and we all had an early night, we were off to bed with lots of cuddles and she didn't even wake us all up later to go for a wee!

In the morning, we ran into the office just before OTL got strapped into his rowing machine and gave him a 'Good Morning' lick, before he got all sweaty again!

The ferrets were all full of life this morning as well, chasing each other all over the place, in and out of the cardboard boxes and tubes that OTL has made into an 'Adventure Playground'

Mr Brambles 'War Wound' is getting better but it is still a bit raw where the stitch pulled out but at least he is not worrying it, so we reckon it should be good and dry by the time he goes back to visit the vet!

Our run down on the Sea Wall was a bit damp this morning 'cos there was a lot of rain last night. We didn't meet any other Woofers but we did see a couple of Green Woodpeckers that we hadn't see much of this summer.

Mind you, by the time I had seen them then pointed them out to 'The Gang', they had flown further up the Sea Wall!

Here! Look! Green Woodpeckers............................Oh!........There they Go!
Snowflake and I were sniffin' around the log again and we were comparing sniffs and what bugs were inside the log!

See, it jumped from this rock onto the log and then went down the hole!
Snowflake seemed convinced that it was some sort of wood boring beetle or worm that spent it's life eating away wooden ships!

.....and when it gets here, it turns around and goes back again!
Holly wasn't too impressed 'cos she had studied wood boring worms at evening classes and reckons that they get rid of them nowadays with special paint that replicates the action of copper mixed with sea water.

She is such a clever Woofer sometimes!

Mind you, it didn't stop Snowflake and I from doing some more investigating, even if Holly was bored with the sniff!

Look! it came out here for a breath of fresh sea water!
Back home we got Chicken and Biscuits for breakfast but it was a bit cold. When OTL does our breakfast he makes sure it is good and warm, and we get all the skin as well but The Missus leaves it for a while to cool down and it's just not the same.

We'll have to get OTL to give her instructions on how to cook and serve our meals!

Mr Brambles was all tucked up in bed 'Convalescencing' as he calls it, we call it 'Snoring his head Off'!

Just having a 'Convalescence'!
He said that he is looking forward to being let out for a walk again and he's getting a bit fed up with staying in doors all day.

Lunch time came and OTL had to deliver some stuff down town, so, off we went singing our driving songs! Of course, having been good little girls we demanded to be taken for an 'Adventure' so OTL took us to The Forrest!

Now you wouldn't normally describe The Forrest as an adventure but as soon as we had got off the lead, OTL put us back on the lead again 'cos we saw Monsters following us!

Don't look behind you but.............!
That was it, were off and around the corner as soon as we saw them! Once they had wandered off we went in search of Squirrels!

We searched all around the trees and bushes and in the undergrowth and under the fallen trees and in the 'Squirrel Holes' in the trees but, we didn't find a single squirrel!

No, nuffin' up here either!
Having decided that all the squirrels had run away or were hibernating already, we went hunting Badgers!

Here be Badgers, but they're not at home!
We found some Badger sniffs but no sign of them scurrying around the woods today, we were Badgerless!

I decided that if there were no Badgers then we should go back to 'Huntin' Squirrel' 'cos we're good at hunting squirrel but that is when we see a squirrel and we have seen squirrels here before and therefore there must be squirrels here now!

WazzataSquirrelIHeardThen?
Again we hunted high and low and stood and listened to the forest telling us what was about and we still saw nuffin'!

WazzataNuverSquirrelHiding?
Holly reckons that they were all hiding in their Winter Dreys, chomping on nuts and keeping warm by roasting their toes on the fire!

It was very squidgy on the path all the way around and at times OTL had to go off the path and into the trees to save falling over in the quaggy bits!

All in all it was a fun time and an adventure!

Back home we both had a snooze before Holly caught the sniff of food being prepared and you know what that means? It's Mugging Time!

We're off to see what it is and if it's worth mugging!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles (also known as Grumpy!)

Wednesday's Fun!

Hi Woofers!

We are here again, Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Last night was horrid! We had those nasty Whizz Bangs all evening and Holly was getting upset. Not as bad as other years but she got worried. In fact, she was so wound up that she wanted to go to bed, but she wanted Old Two Legs to go to bed as well so she could have a cuddle!

So, at nine we tramped off up to bed and Holly cuddled up to OTL on the bed and I cuddled up to Holly and she said she felt safer and even went to sleep, for a couple of hours.

It was at eleven thirty that she decided she needed a wee, so OTL got the 'I Wanna Wee Woof' and down we went into the garden. By then all the Whizz Bangs had stopped so we could have a wee without being scared!

Back up to bed and off to sleep!

In the morning, OTL got up and went for a paddle around the office. He has put the drag on the rowing machine up another notch so that made him puff a bit more! He was down to the last fifty strokes when Holly and I burst into the office and we gave him a big 'Good Morning' lick. It was part 'Thank you for looking after us last night' and the other bit was 'Slow Down before you have a heart attack'!

He was plonking away like a demented Two Legs on Hyper Juice!

Still, he got to the magic one thousand strokes mark and then did a few more just to slow down but the sweat was dripping off the end of his nose!

Yuk! Not a pretty sight!

Mr Brambles had the last of his medicine and a slurp of milk then went back to bed.

Slurp, Slurp, Slurp, Slurp!

Snowflake finished off her milk then got her harness on and soon we were all heading to the Sea Wall.

As normal, OTL had to carry her to the beach, you know she really is a lazy ferret first thing in the morning and she certainly doesn't like the cold, drafty mornings!

This wind goes right through you!

Holly and I were having a run on the Sea Wall and a couple of little Bozo's came down the path. We went into our 'Hello' woofs and ran towards them. They were both on a lead and we thought they would be let off but the owner stopped and told us to go away!

OTL asked what the problem was and the owner thought we were going to attack the woofers! Us! Attack!

That was it, they went off up the other path and we went back to Snowflake who was having a sniff on the beach!

Didn't wanna play with them anyway!
Snowflake had found that log again and was doing some serious sniffin', so we decided that we would join her and see what tales the sniffs would tell us!

This end has been wee'd on!
It was good sharing sniffs with Snowflake 'cos she could sniff stuff that we would have missed and we could sniff stuff she just dismissed as sea weed!

........ and over here is where it crawled away!
She has a good nose for small sniffs but I still don't trust her when she gets too close, 'cos she is just as likely to give us a nip just for fun!

Back home it was Lambs Heart for breakfast, the stuff OTL froze when he did the batch cooking. Even though it was warmed up in the microwave, it didn't taste as good as 'Fresh from the Pan', if you know what I mean!

The morning was spent having a snooze on the bed and chewing a 'Teeth Cleaning Chew' which is OK, but I couldn't eat two of them!

Lunch time was a little late 'cos OTL had to visit the dentist for a check up and although they made him pay out loads of money, it was only for a check up and the cost of the X-Ray photo which OTL says is sort of like Infrared photo of the inside of your teeth!

What ever turns you on!

Down on the beach the tide was right in and further up the beach than normal, Holly says it could be a 'Spring Tide' which means it comes further up the beach!

Spring Tide?
If you turned around and looked to other way, all of the breakwaters were below the water. So, we reckon that Holly is right and it is a Spring Tide today.

Not a Break Water in sight!
We had a look at the Tide Tables when we got back and can confirm that it is a 6.1m tide, so that makes it a Spring Tide, so there!

I was planning on going for a swim but OTL said it was not a good idea and for me to keep my paws on dry land.

Dry Land? It's raining, the land is wet!

Back home to a snooze again and then some mugging tonight!

Let's keep our claws crossed for Cocoa and her wart removal next week, it doesn't sound like a big one but if you need a Skinny Vest to wear, then Mr Brambles has got one here she can have!

Mr Brambles is back to the vet on Monday for a check and says that he will put in a good word for Cocoa and get it passed down the line!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles (Getting Better all the time!)

It's Wet, it must be Autumn!

Hello Woofers!

The Gang's back again, Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

This morning has been one of those 'Lazy' mornings. We were up at our normal time and Old Two Legs was plonking away on the paddle boat. The ferrets didn't even wake up to say 'Good Morning' when OTL started his paddling!

We did notice that he increased the drag up to level three on the machine. Mind you, it goes up to level eight, so we are not yet up to the 'Manly Level', more the 'Old Duffer Doing Himself and Injury' setting!

After the noise came the calm, while he went off for a shower, on his return the ferrets woke up and the morning rituals began. First a slurp of milk which also included some medicine for Mr Brambles. Then OTL's 'Rabbit Food' with cold milk that Mr Brambles just loves to mug off OTL! What Mr Brambles gets is a finger dipped into the milk and he gets to have a lick. That way OTL keeps in his good books and because it is such a small amount Mr Brambles doesn't get the Tummy Grumbles and starts Projectile Pooing!

After yesterdays coat failure, OTL had a close look at the 'War Wound' and there was no further damage, so OTL is pleased about that!

Now I know that a wart doesn't normally cause such a big fuss but to show you why OTL was so worried about Mr Brambles, here is a snap we took this morning while Mr Brambles was cleaning the Ferretone bottle!

The 'War Wound'
The wart was about the size of a five pence piece and by the time it had been removed there was a reasonable sized hole that had to be covered again!

If you imaging you had a wart on your hip the size of a small saucepan lid, you'll get the picture!

So, our big brave Mr Brambles is getting better at a steady pace and that is why OTL is keeping a close eye on him!

He is still not allowed out down the beach yet, so he went back to bed and showed off while Snowflake came out with us.

Now Snowflake is not a natural 'Early Morning Person' and even then, she is not a 'Early Morning Fresh Air Person' either!

So, when she is put down on the beach she take ages to warm up and she doesn't look too happy when she's doing it!

Chilly Innit?
Holly and I had a run up and down the beach while we waited for Snowflake. We were having a rest up near the top of the beach when I had this brilliant idea.

Let's go for a run on the mud!

I haven't felt the squidgy feeling between my claws for ages!

Holly said that it would not be a good idea, especially as OTL was looking at us while he waited for Snowflake to get moving!

Well, I thought it was a good idea anyway!

How about a Squidgy Run!
When we got home we got a bowl of Chicken each which went down a treat! After which Holly and I retired to a soft sleeping place and crashed out for the rest of the morning!

Both ferrets did exactly the same, however, Mr Brambles did a crafty trick, he started to lick his 'War Wound' which means that OTL had to distract him with some Ferretone!

It's no good being a ferret if you can't be a 'Crafty Ferret'!

Lunch time and it had just stopped raining, so OTL and us set off to see if there were any more interviews to give, but there was no one down on the beach except us!

You could see the rain clouds that had passed us and when we looked behind, there were some more creeping up!

It looks like Rain!
We decided that a quick wee and a warm bed would be the best thing to order up this afternoon, so back we went to the car in double quick time!

Needless to say, our route back was full of muddy spots and puddles, still, we washed all the muddy bits off our paws by running into the puddles, now there's clever for you!

Splash, Splash, Splash, Splosh!
Back home the ferrets were still snoring so we decided to join them! I wonder what OTL has got for dinner tonight and will we be able to mug him?

I'll let you know tomorrow!

By the way, tonight there should be loads of Whizz Bangs and OTL has promised to give Holly lots of cuddles to help her get over them. Mind you, she has said that she draws the line at a 'Thunder Vest' 'cos she has seen what a plonker Mr Brambles looked in his and there is no way she is going to wear one, even if it was painted pink and was covered in glitter!

So that looks like OTL's tailoring has come to an end!

Bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Back to the Vet!

Hello Woofers!

We're back! Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

It was all rush and panic this morning, Old Two Legs had just finished his self inflicted punishment for over eating, (Thirty Four Minutes or one thousand and ten strokes on The Rowing Machine). Both ferrets wake up and come to the bars to say 'Hello' and get a tickle under the chin and a run around the office after their morning slurp of milk.

OTL took one look at Mr Brambles only to see that he had pulled one of his stitches and opened up the wound. It wasn't nasty but it had been bleeding a little and it looked rather raw. Next thing was to wash the wound with warm salt water and trim off the bit of stitch that was standing out from his skin so it didn't catch on anything and make him scratch it any more!

That done he was put back in his cage to keep him quiet, no chance, Mr Brambles threw a 'Right Strop' kicking the poo pot all around the cage, then he got inside and tried to dig through the bottom of the tray, hurling the wood pellets all over the office. It was a good job OTL had changed the contents and it was all clean!

Then Mr Brambles went over to his water bowl and kicked that all around the cage as well!

He was not a 'Happy Ferret'!

OTL reckons it's because he is going 'Stir Crazy' and missing his morning half mile run and hole digging on the beach!

A telephone call to the vets got him a ten thirty appointment and he was boxed up in the travelling cage together with a bottle of Ferretone in OTL's pocket, just to keep Mr Brambles still for when the vet inspected his 'War Wound'!

The vet decided to leave the wound alone and see what happens but OTL was told to try to keep him for nibbling it and the vet suggested making up a coat using an elasticated support bandage or an old sock.

OTL decided that the sock idea was a no brainer 'cos he only has woollen socks so down the pharmacy he goes, wallet in hand!

A pack of Tubigrip was purchased and OTL went to work with the scissors, just like a professional tailor! We reckon it looks like one of those 'Skinny Vests' that OTL wears every so often.  Mind you, he caught sight of himself in a mirror wearing one and it was then that he decided to get a rowing machine!

He said something about a skinny vest with a bell bottom!

Never mind the quality, just feel the width!
After OTL had worked hard on his cutting and carving he held it up and asked what we thought of it.

We couldn't speak for laughing!

Then we got Mr Brambles to try it for size and that's when all hell broke loose!

It was OK while he was slurping some Ferretone to keep him occupied but as soon as he was put back in the cage, everything went up in the air!

His water bowl and bedding were piled into a corner and the poo pot contents were dug up and hurled out of the cage all over the office floor!

OTL tried to calm him down with some drops of Ferretone while he was in the cage but as soon as he had finished it, off he went again on his 'Destruction Derby'!

Just wait until this is finished, then I'm off again!
Well, in the end OTL had to declare that the coat idea was a total failure!

However, if ever OTL gets a sprained wrist, he'll have an elasticated bandage all ready for it!

Our lunch time walk was fun. There was the BBC down on the sea front doing more interviews on the proposed airport and OTL got asked his opinion!

I don't think they'll put it on air.

Blah, Blah, Blah!

There was a Black Headed Gull sitting on the breakwater catching a few rays while the tide was in and OTL tried to creep up on it. He would have done if I hadn't woofed my way along the beach and scared it off!

Woof Off Birdy!
There were a couple of real Bozo dogs we said 'Hello' to, first a Big Bozo.

Hello Big Bozo!
And sitting next to the owner was a Little Bozo!

Hello Little Bozo!
Then there was a 'Rabbit' we saw in the grass that was worthy of a chase, only problem was, it wasn't a rabbit, but rather a big spaniel who was snuffling around looking for a rabbit!

Us woofing and charging through the grass didn't put him in a good mood and I quickly ran back to OTL for protection!

Back home for an afternoon snooze before dinner.

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr (Hooligan) Brambles.

Sunday? Windday?

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

You know, it was really strange trying to get to sleep last night. Holly and I went up with Old Two Legs and stretched out on the bed, as we have done for the last week, then The Missus gets into bed, you know what? We had to move off the bed, there wasn't enough room for us all!

Not the same with Snowflake and Mr Brambles, last night OTL let them sleep together. As soon as the door was shut they both dived into the bed and cuddled up together!

I think she missed having somewhere to put her cold feet!

We were up early, well TM was 'cos she had to clear away all her card making stuff so we can move around the house!

Just for fun, Holly and I went down stairs to watch her trying to decide where to put the glitter pots!

Snowflake came out with us on our morning run and Mr Brambles got 'The Hump' 'cos he wasn't allowed out yet. He shoved his poo pot all around the cage and also gave his drinking bowl a good kicking as well!

When we got down to the Sea Wall is was overcast again but the sun did manage to poke through the clouds to shine down on Sheerness across the water.

Another Sheerness Morning.

Snowflake started to play with the large lump of wood she found the other day, first she tried to hide in front of it out of the wind, she said it was warmer there!

This is a warm spot!
Then she got fed up with hiding and started to have some fun climbing all over it and at one time she tried to look underneath but fell off onto her head!

Look! On me 'ead!
Back home OTL did some cleaning up of the ferrets house, Snowy Towers, but Snowflake kept on rushing back to the bit OTL was cleaning, then chased OTL out by attacking the cleaning cloth! Both Snowflake and Mr Brambles thought that was great fun! Snowflake even rushed out and ran up OTL's trouser leg and nipped him!

Needles to say, it made OTL jump and he managed to bang his head on the cage!

Great fun!

While OTL was busy TM served up our breakfast..........DOGGY SCOFF!!!!!!!!!!!

That is it, no cuddles for her today, how could she do that to us, all week with proper scoff and now?

YUK! YUK! YUK!

Lunch time we were down the Sea Wall again and now the wind had picked up. Certainly we could feel a chill in the air, a sure sign that Winter isn't too far off!

We saw a Two Legs with a small boat onto which he had mounted some fishing rods, I suppose if your not very good at throwing the worms far enough out, you can always get a boat and take them out!

Carry yer worms Mister?
All the way around our walk the wind was getting stronger, there was no sign of a rabbit anywhere. Holly even cracked a funny by saying.........

It's Too Windy for Wabbits!
She can be a right Wag sometimes!

After all that was done we got home and settled down to watch the F1 racing and both Holly, OTL and I fell asleep!

Well, it gets a bit boring with the same driver winning all the time!

Snowflake and Mr Brambles have been moving around the ferret house  and sleeping in different places but always cuddling each other, you can tell they missed each other after Mr Brambles operation!

We've got some hard work to do tonight, OTL is getting curry again and TM is into Cottage Pie, all of which is not very 'Muggable', I suppose we will just have to starve again until tomorrow when we might get one of the frozen Lambs Heart that OTL cooked for us.

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

She is Back!

Hi Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Well, this is going to be a short blog today and the reason is we just haven't had time to take photos! AND, 'cos we left home early for a quick walk before setting off to pick The Missus up from some far flung spot called Coventry!

The ferrets decided that they would stay at home and snooze the day away.

It certainly is a strange place Coventry, loads of strange sniffs!

When we finally arrived it was all licks and kisses all around and once again Holly wee'd all over Matt's bed with excitement!

It was only a little wee really and that was 'cos we hadn't had a wee since leaving home!

After saying 'Hello' to everyone, Old Two Legs managed to get us into the back garden for a proper wee and while we were there we sniffed, Squirrel!

Well, I was on full 'Guard Mode' and Holly was keeping an eye out while she was saying 'Hello' to her first family!

Then we spotted it! A Sneaky Squirrel scampering along the top of fence, we went potty!

Not that we had any chance of getting it but, well, you gotta put on a show for these squirrels, I mean, they can't have it all their own way!

Before too long it was time to say good bye and get on our way back home. The amount of stuff TM took up there, it was like a mountain! OTL said that when she next goes up to Coventry she can jolly well hire Pickfords!

Must dash, I can sniff food being cooked and we have been promised Lambs Heart, one of the meals OTL batch cooked the other day!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles (His bruise is clearing up a treat!)

It's Clear Up Day!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again!

After we did the blog last night, Old Two Legs got caught out trying to be too clever in the kitchen!

He had decided to have a curry and got the stuff out of storage, the curry's in the freezer, the Boil in the Bag rice is in the cupboard and the Naan Bread was in the fridge.

Now to get everything to come together he had to allow one hour for the curry to heat up in the Slow Cooker, after it had thawed out, and half an hour for the rice to cook and eight minutes for the Naan Bread to be cooked on both sides, four minutes each side.

Well, he was getting there with the rice and curry, the curry was a bit slow in heating but he just extended the rice time a little. Then he made a nice ring of rice on the plate, put the Naan Bread under the grill, and poured the curry from the pot onto the plate. Unfortunately,  either the work surface is on a slope or the plate was uneven 'cos the curry started to cascade over the edge of the plate, a bit like Niagara Falls!

So, quick as a flash, he starts scrapping the curry back towards the centre of the plate whilst at the same time, rotating the plate just in case it's the plate that's wonky!

Finally he had it all balanced on the plate and turned to flip the Naan Bread under the grill.

He opened the door and was greeted with a large burst of smoke! He had managed to cook the Naan Bread the same way that The Missus does, raw and uncooked one side and burnt black the other side!

It was a good job he bought a pack containing Two Bits of Naan Bread!

In the end Holly got a couple of bits of Naan Bread dipped in the curry sauce, I on the other paw decided that curry is not really me unless I'm starving, so I declined his offer and that's why Holly got two bits!

This morning was a bit grim, although it wasn't raining it was damp and cloudy, but that didn't stop us from going out for a walk. Snowflake came as well and although Mr Brambles said he fancied a walk as well OTL decided he should stay in until at least next Tuesday, just to make sure!

Mr Brambles was not happy about that and showed off by kicking his water bowl along the cage bottom and then he heaved his poo pot around the cage as well!

Down on the beach we found a big sheet thingy and reckoned we could dig it up and have a game but OTL said it would take us too long and even Snowflake said she would pass on this game!

Well, if we all dig together!
Snowflake was still intrigued as to why us dogs always chase sticks, so she tried out a twig on the beach and after chewing it for a bit decided that we had no sense of taste 'cos it tasted horrible!

It's too salty!
We had a challenge from Snowflake, she reckons she can run faster than we can, which is a bit daft really 'cos she has such short legs! However, she said she could get back to the car before us!

That was it, off we set at a trot, we were so far ahead in the first ten seconds that we stopped for a sniff and a wee. Snowflake just flew up the mountain rocks and got ahead of us, just!

Up the Mountain!
Then we stopped for a sniff on the grass path, well we could easily catch her up and the sniff was rather good!

Getting ahead!
A bit further on we let her steam ahead 'cos we could see our old mate Barney bounding down the path!
Hello Girlie's!
We had a good chat and caught up with the news and told him some of ours and he asked to be remembered to Mr Brambles and hoped that his War Wound gets better soon. In fact we even let OTL and Snowflake get all the way down the hill before we left Barney to carry on with his walk!

Half way down the hill I caught the sniff of rabbit and did a sharp left hand turn and into the long grass, OTL whistled for us but the sniff was too strong, we just kept hunting!

OTL decided to put Snowflake in the car and come back for us 'cos once we are in 'Hunting Mode' we go sort of 'deaf' to his calling!

Well, back he came to collect us and we asked where Snowflake was, thinking she had got lost or something, 'She's back in the car' he said.

Oh No! That means we got beaten by a ferret on a running race, I don't think we will ever live that one down!

Lunchtime came and we decided to get in some running practise so we went for a jog along the Sea Wall, Holly was leading to begin with but I soon caught her up, well, I'm not going to be beaten twice in a day!

Holly's in The Lead!
It's bad enough when Mr Brambles asks if I want running lessons!

Here I come!
We didn't see any other dogs but I spotted a Little Egret on the mud having a poke around looking for worms.

A Wormy Egret?
You can see that it wasn't too bright but at least it wasn't raining!

It's called 'Dull and Over Cast'!
Back home we all helped clear up the house, it's amazing just how much stuff there was to clear up and pile back in the cupboards! I found a ball I thought was lost and Mr Brambles helped Holly hide a chew for later. OTL was rushing around with the vacuum cleaner in one hand and the carpet sweeper in the other. I won't tell you where he stuck the feather duster but he was able to flick it about as he went along!

So we are almost ready to go and collect TM from 'Up North' tomorrow. The ferrets have decided to stay at home 'cos it will be a bit too far for them to travel in the travelling cage, well it's only really for transporting to and from the vets!

So, off we go now for a bit of mugging and we'll see you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake (Super Fast Flying Ferret!) and Mr Brambles (Knitting together nicely!)
