Rabbit Stew All Round!

Hi Woofers!

We're back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

It was a misty old morning today down here in North Kent. Old Two Legs was wishing for some sort of artistic misty morning so he can take some 'Moody' pictures again but all he got was some uninspiring mist across the Medway!

Just the Mist!
We had a sniff along the beach and while I was engrossed in a rather interesting sniff, Mr Brambles had a bet with Holly that he could creep up on me using his famous 'Commando Crawl' that he had learnt from Army Chum of his!

The Commando Crawl!
You know I reckon he would have made it if he hadn't sneezed!

Back home it was chicken and biscuits, all warm and slippery and tasting super!

OTL was playing on the computer again so Holly and I had a snooze and Holly even spent some time next to the pond catching up on her tan!

Lunch time was a scream! OTL decided to take the ferrets out again but this time to do our Rabbit Hunting route, just to see what they make of it.

Of course, they were a bit cautious to begin with, a strange new area of sniffs but very quickly they settled down to Rabbit Sniffin'

Holly and I set off to flush any rabbit out of the bushes, just to show them how it's done!

No, none here either!
Then the ferrets started to investigate the holes the rabbits had started to dig.

'er! I reckon I've found one here! Looks like Rabbit Stew Tonight Lads!
Next thing we knew was he had stuck his head right down the hole and was sniffing like crazy!

Rabbit! Yes! I can Sniff Rabbit!
Then he jumped back with a disgusted look on his face, 'Gawd! It's a Rabbit Poo Trap'!

A crafty rabbit had dug a hole and got all his mates to poo in it, just to trick us!

They're sneaky like that you know!

Mr Brambles was right put out about that and carried on investigating every hole he could find. There was one where he swore that he could see a rabbit looking back up the hole!

I can see one here, he's looking straight at me!
I rushed over to check but it was a couple of shiny stones that reflected the sun light!

No Eye Balls Here, Just Stones!
Mr Brambles was not a 'Happy Ferret' and marched off mumbling something about getting rabbit stew next week!

Down on the beach we found that big lump of wood again and Mr Brambles said we could carve a boat out of the wood here and make a canoe to go fishing.

Will it Float?
What was funny, Miss Snowflake found a bit of wood as well and said we could use it as a paddle!

OTL could fashion a paddle from this bit!
On our way back we got loads of Ooooo's and Arrrrrrr's from people who have never seen a ferret before. Holly said it was getting a bit boring listening to the same old thing again and again!

Does it smell? Does it bite? How do they get on with the dogs?

OTL says that one day he will say 'Yes! They smell worse than horse poo!' and 'Of course they bite, how do you think they eat their food!' But best of all...........

The dogs love them, they would eat three a day if they could get hold of them from Tesco's!'

Back home the ferrets crashed out and have been asleep all afternoon, mind you, so has Holly and I!

See you tomorrow!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles

Who's a Pongy Puppy?

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

What a change there has been this morning! We woke up expecting warm balmy breezes and loads of sun shine, but in stead it was Cold, Windy, Cloudy and Sunless!

Not ideal for the ferrets to go walking in!

Mind you, Miss Snowflake climbed out of the Ferret Bag and onto Old Two Legs arm expecting all that warm stuff and got the shock of her life, cold wind!

It wasn't much better down on the beach but the wind did help to get the ferrets to 'Get a Move On' back to the car!

Miss Snowflake did her 'Pick Me Up Daddy' bit but OTL said she needed some fresh air!

Pleeeese Pick Me Up Daddy!
Not getting her own way she headed off to the sea weed where Mr Brambles said he had found an interesting sniff!

Well, it certainly has a Pong about it!
I could even sniff it on the wind and when I put my nose towards the sand it was even stronger. I gave Holly a woof and we both followed it to a pipe that was sticking out of the sea wall!

Mmmmm, It's strong here as well!
We told OTL and he suggested we all keep away from it, just in case it was something that would give us all upset tummies!

It even goes all the way down here as well!
While we were waiting for the ferrets to catch up, I got the sniff of something in the grass that just called out to me and said 'ROLL IN MEEEEE!'

Well, what could a little puppy do?

I had a roll, and another roll, and just to finish it off, I had another roll!

That's when OTL saw me and called me a 'Smelly Nellie' and a 'Pongy Puppy' and when we got home, guess who ended up getting washed from the tip of her tail to the tip of her nose and everything in between?

The Missus came back from her shopping trip and announced that she  had found a source for Ox Heart which the butcher said was better as there wasn't anywhere near the amount of fat on the heart as there was on the Lambs Heart!

So, there are plans to try some, even though we do love the fatty bits 'cos they are tasty and slip down a treat!

Auntie Angela turned up to play Splosh the Glue Pot with TM, you could hear them giggling their heads off as the glitter pot was flying all over the place

They do make such a mess everywhere, us doggies dare not sit down anywhere near then 'cos we would end up with sparkles all over our butts!

OTL was sneaky, he managed to mug a cream filled apple turnover and didn't even share it with us!

Lunchtime walk was a little 'Fresh' 'cos the wind was coming in off the sea and when those easterlies blow they can certainly blow your tail about!

To keep warm, Holly and I went Rabbit Hunting but only OTL saw any rabbits and by the time we were on it's scent the rabbit was twenty foot underground and enjoying a carrot salad!

Hunting Rabbit!
Mind you, it was fun running and jumping and pretending we were chasing the rabbit home!

Down on the beach there was a great big lump of wood that must have fallen off a pier or something and as Holly said, 'It wasn't here this morning!'

We had a sniff around but there was nothing too exciting about it so we left it to float away on the next tide!

Sniffy, but nothing interesting!
Back home the ferrets wanted to come out to play so OTL shut the office door and they went on a 'Ferret Rampage' around the office chasing the squeaky balls and climbing inside my sleeping cushion!

After a hunt through the adventure playground and the camera stuff and behind Snowy Heights and climbing up on top of Snowy Heights, they decided to go back to sleep again!

Not sure what OTL has for diner tonight, let's hope it's 'Mugable', if not then we shall rob him of some shortbread!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles

Another Fun Day!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Wot a super sunny day again! The garden pond is full of little wriggly things that promise to grow into some flying, stinging thingys! The sun has been shining on the solar power thingy by the pond and the water fountain has been splashing water all over the pond!

The ferrets were up early and gave Old Two Legs a run around the house when he opened the office door to go and fetch some fresh water. Mr Brambles rushed out and headed into The Missus's store room and tried to open one of her pots of glitter!

OTL just managed to get to him in time!

As he was returning to the office he was just in time to see Miss Snowflakes tail disappearing around the corner, tearing along the corridor and into the bedroom! OTL ran like mad to catch her before she disappeared under the bed!

In the end OTL said that he was taking us all out 'cos he reckoned we all needed a good run to calm us down!

On the beach Miss Snowflake found a sniff in some sea weed and proceeded to rub her chin in it!

Mr Brambles was further down the beach diving in and out of the rock pools!

Oooooooo! This is Lovely!
I found a sniff but it was buried, so, I had a go at digging it out!

Come Out, Come Out, I Know Your There!
Back home we had some chicken for breakfast and afterwards Holly and I spent tome time at the bedroom window woofing at anyone who passed!

Of course, TM kept on telling us to stop woofing but we didn't take any notice.

While we were on the cushion by the window Holly said, 'I reckon I would like a Fish and Rice breakfast, just like Archie Babe had yesterday!

We spent some time discussing what fish we could have, obviously ones with bones is out 'cos they might get stuck, so, it was Cod we settled on in the end!

Lunchtime we went delivering with OTL and ended up at the Riverside Park. We saw the old yacht was still there, so we reckon if we mended it we could go fishing for cod!

A lick of paint and a plank or two should do it!
The tide was out, so we couldn't see if it floated but there was another yacht out on the mud that would do equally as well but OTL said that it must be owned by someone 'cos it looked well kept!

Wot about that one to go fishing in?
We got fed up looking for a boat and played 'Pirates' along the old wall. Holly played the Pirate and I was the Revenue Man!

No matter how she tried, she couldn't get past me and I won every game!

On Guard against Pirates!
We had great fun chasing each other around, especially when we found a bit of twig on the ground!

OTL had his Infra Red Camera thingy so it looks like we were playing in the snow!

Of course, there was no snow really but it was still fun!

Chasing Pirates in the Snow!
Back home again and the ferrets were still asleep, so we cuddled up on the sofa and enjoyed an afternoon snooze!

For dinner tonight, OTL has got some of those 'Home Made Burgers' that TM makes. Holly and I try to get a nibble of those but OTL and TM eat all theirs and leave none for us!

Not fair!

Still, we will mug OTL for some shortbread tonight 'cos he is a sucker for a lick behind the ear and Holly and me holding our paws up in the air!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Sunny Sunday!

Hi Woofers!

Spring is here!

So are Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Well, Old Two Legs has finally finished putting away all his stuff from the Scotland Trip and we are back to the normal mess in the office!

I've got one of our cushions under his workspace, Holly has hidden one of MY chews around the back of the ferrets house and the ferrets 'Adventure Playground' has squeaky ball hidden everywhere, not to mention the stack of Ferret Nibbles hidden in the darkest recesses!

With the few days off in Scotland OTL hasn't been on his rowing machine since he has been back, naughty OTL! Still, he has promised to get back on it on Monday morning!

Down on the beach Holly and I found a super sniff in the sand and spent some time digging and rolling in it while OTL was attending to the ferrets!

OK, First a dig, then a Roll!
I'm not sure if OTL knew what we were doing but he didn't say anything, maybe he reckoned that we deserved a roll in something 'cos we were such good puppies for TM while OTL was away!

Both ferrets said that they would have had a roll but it was too wet on the sea weed!

No, we'll just have a sniff thanks!
We all had a chase along the beach and then headed back to the car. Mr Brambles was very good and didn't race away and leave Miss Snowflake struggling to get up the steps!

Come on Girl, up you get!
The ground was getting dry so it was good fun to run along the grass. Miss Snowflake even had some fun chasing Holly!

Oh No you Don't!
Back home we got bowls of New Doggy Scoff that really doesn't get us very excited, in fact we had a sniff and went off to have a snooze!

OTL got going in the garden with his big drilling machine. We got hold of a tree trunk that OTL has decided to incorporate into the garden as a Bug Hotel. To help things along he wanted to drill some holes in it of several sizes so that Bees and Bumble bees and other sorts of bugs can set up home. However, drilling holes with his big electric drill is OK but when he started on big holes, about three quarters of an inch diameter he drilled a few and then there was a big POP!

Smoke poured out of the drill and OTL very quickly unplugged it from the extension lead before it did any damage!

So, we now have a tree trunk full of holes and a drill that is dead, but the 'Hotel' is finished!

Now all OTL has to do is spread the 'Wild Flower' seeds he has plus the 'Goats Beard' seeds he 'Collected' from the Sea Wall last year.

Lunch time and the sun was even warmer that this morning! There were the Sunday Trippers down on the beach, families and there was even a Metal Detector Geezer running around on the mud waving his detector thingy. OTL said that all he would find were unexploded bombs!

No Sarnies, No Strokes!
There were one couple that not satisfied with a beach tea, brought their own table and chairs to sit looking at the mud and eating cucumber sarnies and drinking tea from real china cups!

Don't they look POSH!
On the way back we stopped at the church in our village, Holly says that OTL was 'Getting Religion' but as the church was closed all he could do was take some more pictures with the Infrared Camera!

Allsaints Church Allhallows.
After that is was back home to watch the rugby match. Holly and I love rugby, it's just like Holly an I playing 'Chase The Ball' or even 'Grab the Stick'!

Just like Rugby!
See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles

Tripod Walla Throws a Strop!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back with you.

What a super day today, the sun is shining, the sky is blue and Old Two Legs is back home again and this afternoon we visited The Forest!

We went out for our morning run along the beach. Mr Brambles was almost beside himself with pleasure, he was jumping and running all over the place. Miss Snowflake was a little more refined but she still was running along 'Dooking' her whiskers off!

My Rocks better than this one!
It was funny when Mr B decided to run across the sea weed 'cos he ran straight into a rock pool and ended up with soaking legs and belly, but he did keep his tail dry!

Oops! Just a bit Quaggy Here!

Back home, OTL gave us chicken for breakfast and we wolfed that down in no time at all! The ferrets were in a playful mood as well and while OTL was cleaning their poo pots, both ferrets tried to run up his trouser legs! Lucky for OTL, he was expecting something like that and was ready to pull them back out! Both ferrets ran off chuckling to themselves!

OTL was telling us about some of the things that happened while they were up in Glencoe, like the rain being mostly horizontal and how the filters on the camera were a 'Raindrop Magnet!' He says that next time he will have to make up a shelter or buy an umbrella to shield the camera from the storms!

Rain Drop Magnet!
Now, while he was up there he had some trouble with the staff, that 'Tripod Walla' to be precise. You see the Tripod Walla was under the impression that he was an 'Apprentice'  and that he would be progressing up the ladder and one day would become a 'Camera Walla', with an increase in gruel rations and a bottle of beer at tea time. OTL had to explain that he was a terrible Tripod Walla and would have to work very hard to become a Camera Walla and he may make it but not for many years.

It was at this point that the Tripod Walla threw a Strop and Showed Off!

I Wanna be a Camera Walla, Now!
Mind you, when we looked at the pictures, we could see why he thought he could be a Camera Walla!

'Camera Walla First Class with Nodules' putting his paw down!
Mind you, no matter who has the camera, if there's no snow on the ground you just don't get the spectacular vista!

Snow-less Glencoe!
There were a few other stories involving Cullen Skink which Holly thought was a Canadian Pole Cat and that is a distant relation to our ferrets and the thought of OTL eating ferrets was just not on!

After OTL had cleared up all his stuff we went off to do some shopping and get his glasses fixed! I ask you, how can you wear a pair of glasses out by just looking through them!

At lunch time we were in the car and heading off into town, after the shopping bit we visited The Forest! Now, we haven't been there for ages 'cos the mud was about six feet deep on the paths!

It was still muddy but with a bit of care you could keep your paws clean!

Look! Clean Paws!
Mind you, there were a couple patches that were a bit quaggy but we danced around the mucky bits!

Holly was searching out all the new sniffs and found a couple of new ones behind a tree stump!

Guess wot I found?
Of course, OTL was looking at the flowers and birdies flitting around in the bushes. We were happily trotting along Sniffin' the Sniffs and when we looked behind, no OTL!

Back we went and there he was taking pictures of the 'Wild Daffodils'. Holly said that they didn't look very wild to her!

A Wild and Angry Daff!
I said that if she did a wee on them they would get very angry!

Back home we had to go and pick The Missus up from her Master Class, she is a busy little crafter!

Tonight we are going to have a cuddle with OTL and nibble his shortbread and listen to some more tales of Glencoe!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Rain, Sleet, Snow, Gales and Mist, all withing ten miles of Glencoe!

Hi Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Sorry for the late blog today but Old Two Legs didn't get back until late and he has been telling us stories about the trip!

This morning when he and Alun (Tripod Walla), left Glencoe this morning they encountered rain, (horizontal type), then it turned to sleet, helped along by very strong wind and finally snow, which piled up alongside the road. They even passed a snowplough lorry!

They said good bye to the Red Deer but had to shout 'cos they were tucked up in the bushes!

Wot? Who said Good Bye?
They have been travelling back all day today and unlike on the way up, this time OTL only took ten and a half hours to get back home. On the way up it took eleven hours, but that was because of traffic hold ups!

Mr Brambles and Miss Snowflake were tickled pink with their rocks and were doing some serious sniffing!

Both were delighted OTL was back and he let them out of their cage and while he cleared it all up they were running around all over the place chasing each other and OTL!

We gave him loads of licks and haven't left his side since he got in, but as we are both tired little puppies, we're off to bed now. More pictures and stories tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Mr Brambles & Miss Snowflake are Expecting a Special Present form OTL!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again!

You know, we have been watching out of the bedroom window today but we still haven't seen Old Two Legs arrive. It must be tomorrow when he is coming back!

We have heard that he has been out again down Glen Etive looking for snow but it seems to be creeping back up the mountain!

Alun, (Tripod Walla) is still in a Grumpy Mood 'cos he has to look after the tripod in the rain. He says he is going on strike!

Tripod Walla's going on Strike!
OTL says that if he if he does that then he won't get his Cullen Skink tonight and he would sack him!

OTL says that it wasn't raining this morning up there so they went back to look for some more Moody Pictures and bumped into some red deer they met the last time they were up there.

Yes, I  think I remember you!
He should have stayed down here 'cos we got deer and stuff in our forests and on top of that it has been sunny and warm today. Our morning stroll along the beach was good fun and The Missus even enjoyed it as well!

When we got back I was snuffling under the cushions and found the chew Holly had hidden, so I pinched it! What was even better, I proceeded to chomp away at it while she watched me!

We got a message from OTL saying that he was 'Above the Snow Line' and it was Snowing!

OTL must have been out with the Snow Fairy 'cos you can't have snow without the Snow Fairy!

OTL meets the Snow Fairy!
OTL says that the Snow Fairy looks a lot like a Tripod Walla he sacked this morning!

A Snow Fairy Walla?
The last message we got was that OTL had got another rock so that both Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles can now have their own rocks to roll about the the tray at the bottom of their cage.

Mr Brambles says he loves a good bit of 'Rock & Roll'

He's getting as bigger wag as Holly!

See you tomorrow when OTL should be home!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Anyone Know a Good Tripod Walla?

Hi Woofers!

Us Again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

You know, it's just not the same without Old McTwo Legs, I know he spends time playing on his computer and bits of paper and other stuff that he delivers to his customers, and I know we sleep on his bed or under the work surface but at least he is within woofing distance should we want a walk or a wee or a game or a chase of a big fat pigeon who is wandering around the garden!

Now when we woof, there is only The Missus and she doesn't always know what we are woofing for, all she does is tells us to 'Be Quiet!'!

We have heard that OTL has been charging up and down Glen Etive again looking for snowy mountains and blue skies but all he got was rain and low clouds and rain and little bits of snow and rain!

Maybe he chose the wrong week!

Mind you, he says that he has a few 'Moody' shots and one of those is Cousin Alun, who is the main 'Tripod Walla', standing in the rain and guarding the tripod, he was getting right Moody!

Join the Army and see The World and end up as a Blooming Tripod Walla!
Holly and I thought it was tremendous, especially as down here we have been enjoying sunshine and warm barmy breezes wafting in off the sea!

McTwo Legs gets howling wind, horizontal rain and rain drops on his graduated filters!

Moody!
You know, we are really well known down here, when TM took us out at lunch time we met up with a couple who said they watch us and OTL every morning going walkies with the ferrets. TM said that there was no way she was taking the ferrets out!

Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles say that they would like to get out but understand that they should have OTL with them, just in case any unknown woofers come sniffing around, well, you just can't trust some woofers!

We are looking forward to Friday but until then, Holly and I will be sleeping on OTL's side of the bed!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

He's Gone and Left Us!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly,Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again!

You know what? That Sneaky Old Two Legs has run away!

At the crack of dawn, there he was packing all his stuff into the big car and then after a Bye Bye to us, he was off!

He is off to do some photography in Glencoe and Glen Etive, where he went some time back and he also plans to go to Ben Nevis and take some pictures there as well!

And he has left us behind!

This is not on, I mean, we wouldn't do it to him!

The ferrets are distraught, no way will The Missus take them out for a walk. She had to be bullied to taking us to the beach as it was!

Mind you, Auntie Sheila came along as well, so we didn't run in too many puddles!

The ferrets said they were bored out of their brains and spent most of the day asleep. I know what they mean, I spent most of the day looking out the window watching for OTL and when he didn't arrive back I then went and fell asleep on his old sniffy fleece!

OTL has phoned up to say that they have arrived and there was some snow on the mountains but not as much as he would have liked!

Rannoch Moor in the Dark
It took him a total of eleven hours to get up there, loads of traffic holdups and diversions 'cos bridges being mended!

Still, it won't be long and he is due back on Friday, bringing us treats and stuff!

So, if OTL is reading this, Licky Licky from Holly, me and The Ferrets and come back soon!

The ferrets say that the Ferretone doesn't taste the same when TM gives them a slurp!

We hope!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

OTL is Up To Something!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back with you again!

It has been super sunny down here in North Kent, the beach was washed clean and the sun reflected off the sea weed and the sand.

We must have had some rain last night 'cos the puddles on the path looked a little fuller that yesterday.

Miss Snowflake took a little while to get going but as soon as she did she was off like a ferret up a trouser leg!

Both of them were hunting in the sea weed and getting their paws all wet and muddy!

First of all Mr Brambles started of by getting 'Deep and Dirty'! He had mud over his paws and green skid marks on his tummy from the sea weed!

Yeah Man! Getting Deep Down & Dirty!
Mind you, Miss Snowflake was getting in a bit of a mess as well. She was even sticking her head under the sea weed sniffing out the cockles!

Another Mucky Ferret!
By the time OTL had cleaned them up they were busting to get onto the muddy path to start all over again!

They tried to make an ambush by the steps but Holly and I are just too smart for that to happen 'cos we had jumped up onto the Sea Wall before we got to the steps!

I get the feeling someone is watching us!
Back home it was chicken again and Holly and I soon had our fill! We spent a couple of hours in the bedroom, on our cushion, looking out of the window and woofing at the Two Legs going past. It was great fun, especially when The Missus started shouting up the stairs for us to be quiet!

Gawd! She was making more noise than all of us woofin' at the same time, and that includes OTL as well!

Now, while we were 'On Guard' OTL was bashing about on the laptop computer and doing some instructions with TM about cleaning the ferrets poo trays out. Then he makes a telephone call to Alun, his cousin and says 'It's Confirmed' see you tomorrow morning.

Now, we got to wondering what he is up to? Is he taking us to see Alun, is Alun coming to see us?

We are going to have to keep a close eye on him, he's up to something!

Lunch time arrives and he is getting out his camera stuff, charging batteries and cleaning lenses, mmmm, still not sure what's going on.

Off we go for our walk and when we got to the beach, it was almost gone! I mean, like nothing but water!

What' happened to the breakwaters?
There was nothing to paddle in or sniff at, in fact there was only 'Stony Sniffs' to enjoy and to be honest, they were mostly stale!

Stony Sniffs!
Getting back home, OTL dives into the cupboard and starts searching through the OS maps and comes up with some maps of Glencoe and the Nevis Range! No, he can't be thinking of sneaking off and leaving us at home, oh no, not our OTL!

The pile of camera stuff is getting bigger and he has even started to sort through his sock draw for his woolly socks!

This is not a good sign!

We'll have to keep a close eye on him!

See you tomorrow,

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.
