OTL Sniffs of Dustbin Lorry!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

We had a really good time on our morning walk today.

First of all we had fun laughing at the ferrets attempt to dig a hole, well, really it was Holly who was doing the 'Jokey Bit' and saying that they couldn't dig their way out of a wet paper bag!

Mr Brambles said that she had better watch her behind 'cos if he got close enough she would feel how he could make holes with his teeth!

Mind you, it still didn't stop Holly, she then started on about the hole Miss Snowflake was digging!

Just Look at this Bozo Ferret!
It was at this point that Miss Snowflake leaped out of the hole and chased Holly Dog down the beach!

She only stopped when she put her foot through the harness and had to ask Old Two Legs to put it back on for her!

'ere! Me Harness has Slipped!
On the way up the path Mr Brambles spotted a big black slug and asked what they tasted like. Holly said they tasted like chicken and he should have a bite!

Well, Mr Brambles had never tried Slug before and took a bite.

YUK! YUK! YUK! YUK!

It was Horrible and Mr Brambles spent the next five minutes licking dew off the grass to wash the taste from his mouth!

YUK!
Then it happened, Holly and I spotted a Rabbit, sitting in the middle of the path, chomping away on some grass, and it had it's back to us!

Do you see wot I see?
That was it, we were off like a flash!

OTL said that it was a good job he was walking the ferrets or he would have chased after us! Still, we got a good rampage around the rabbit grounds and the ferrets got a chance to ferret around in the undergrowth!

Lunchtime came and by then OTL had disappeared off to play with the dustbin lorries and we got a walk with The Missus over The Farm.

We met up with a couple of Bozo Labradors, one was a youngster and the other a bit older and not too friendly, seem she woke up with the grumbles this morning and it was still there at lunch time!

We gave her a wide berth and headed off to Sniff the Sniffs.

Talking of sniffin' OTL has just turned up and he 'HONKS' we reckon he has been playing with all the rubbish in the lorries! Still, it's a good job he has his 'Boiler Suit' to keep most of the muck from sticking to him!

Still, it was straight in and into the shower with him!

He is due to come out soon so I'm off to find one of our Doggy Towels for him to have a rub down 'cos we have just noticed that the ferrets have pulled his towel down off the rail and one of them has had a poo on it!

Both ferrets are asleep at the moment but we will ask who the culprit is later on!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

It's Tuesday, so it's Back To Work!

Hello Woofers!

Us here again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

It rained last night, we know that 'cos we heard it. It rained a lot, we know that 'cos there was a whopping great puddle across the road that leads us to The Beach!

When we got there, we saw some mighty big puddles along the path as well!

There were rainy sort of clouds blocking the sun, so it all looked a bit gloomy!

Gloomy or Wot?
Miss Snowflake didn't look too happy 'cos she said she was a bit cold and really fancied going back to sleep again and could she get back in the ferret bag again!

Go On, Just a Little Snooze Again?
Of course, Old Two Legs said that she needed some exercise and suggested a jog along the beach, just like wot Mr Brambles was doing!

I tried to cheer her up by pretending I was the last Easter Bunny!

Look! I'm The Last Easter Bunny!
That made her laugh! Then we found an underground sniff, so I set to work digging it out while she stood at the edge of the hole giving me instructions!

OK, Now Move over there and go deeper!
You know, she can be a right Bossy Ferret when she puts her mind to it!

OK, Now Deeper!
Thanks to PeeJay for identifying the brown tail moth caterpillars and Peterc for confirming the observation, OTL looked up the moth in his book and saw that they can launch their hairs into the air if threatened! The location and nest was as described in the book and you can get a nasty rash from those hairs as well!

We stayed well away from them!

Back home it was Doggy Scoff again, I really don't know why she does it to us, I mean, we are always giving her licks and saying how pleased we are to see her after one of her Master Classes, and what do we get as a reward?

Doggy Scoff Yuk, YUk, YUK!

OTL  took us out for our lunchtime walk and spent most of the time on his mobile phone, really boring!

We had to sit there while he waved his arms about, as if the person on the phone could see him!

Then it was back home and off he went leaving us with The Missus!

When he came back he had some funny sniffs on his boots! Cow Poo!

Seems he has been up to a farm to look at something or other and the not only grow stuff but they keep animals as well!

So, he is back and we are off to see what he has for dinner and then mug some, anything has got to be better than Doggy Scoff!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

The First Swallow!

Hello Woofers!

Us here again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

You know, today has been pretty good. Like sunshine almost all day, chicken for breakfast and a nibble of Old Two Legs Marmite Toast at lunch time!

Holly and I have been snoozing on the bed for most of the morning after our 'Rush Around' the beach first thing. The ferrets were enjoying the sun shine as well, even though there was a brisk wind blowing in off the sea. Mr Brambles got under the Sea Wall and managed to get out of the wind and enjoy the warm sun.

I've never found a full shell!
Miss Snowflake was too interested in chasing around the beach looking for new sniffs!

I joined her for a while, that was until Holly woofed that she had something really smell and worth a roll in!

Any Good Sniffs?
OTL heard her and warned both of us of the perils of 'Sniff Rolling' which may include a cold water hose down and a scrub with the kitchen floor scrubbing brush!

We got the message!

It was at that moment that OTL said 'Look!' and pointed to the sky, well, that's a funny place for a rabbit I thought! Then he said 'Swallow!' And it was! The first swallow we had seen this year, Summer is on it's way!

It had been raining overnight, so we all got a bit damp, especially the ferrets 'cos their tummies are closer to the ground than ours! Even so, they got wet and Holly and I got wet as well from jumping in the grass and stuff!

It was a good job OTL had our Doggy Towel in the car and we all got a good rub down to take the damp off out hair, ferrets first of course!

Lunchtime it was still sun shine but the wind was still blowing and as hard as he tried, OTL still didn't get any good pictures of the insects that were flying around. That was until the end of the walk when he took particular interest in a sort of spiders web that was crawling with caterpillars!

Not sure but we will keep our eyes on them!
We've had a look in his insect book and also on The Web but still couldn't identify them. Still, they were all awake and wriggling about, so it won't be long before they leave the nest and head off to chomp their way through the hedgerows!

Back home OTL has been teaching The Missus how to create a PDF file and email it. Seems TM had no idea what a PDF file was to begin with, but now she does!

While he was with her laptop OTL ran an Anti-Virus program that showed up over ten thousand broken files in the 'Browser' section and a ton of other dodgy files that would slow up the computer!

Still, it's all nice and clean again and she is back on the Internet racking up the broken links again!

So, a Clean Computer and the First Swallow, it's been a good day today!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Sunday = Rainday

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

There we were, all ready for another fun day in the sunshine and what happened? We got to the end of our morning walk and it started to rain!

It had been a good start to our walk, a couple of rabbits to chase and Miss Snowflake stuck her head out of the ferret bag to see if there were any Easter Bunny's hiding in the long grass!

Old Two Legs said that the sun shining through the clouds looked pretty on the water, yeah, yeah, what ever turns you on!

Gissa Bunny!

Easter Sunday Morning
We all had a run on the beach, Holly and I went off down the other end of the beach and pretended we were getting excited. Miss Snowflake was watching us and she called out 'What you Soppy Puppy's got there?'

Wot You Soppy Puppy's Got?
I came racing along the beach shouting that I'm being chased by an Easter Bunny with Big Ears!

Help! It's Chasing Me!
Holly dog was right behind me and woofed that she was the Easter Bunny!

I'm The Easter Bunny with Big Ears and I've Come To Bite Your Legs!
You know what? Miss Snowflake was not impressed! She called us 'Daft Doggies' and said that she would give us both a 'Nip' on the legs if she got close enough!

Daft Doggies!
Right at the end of the walk the rain started. Now, you know we don't do rain very well and the ferrets decided they would rather be back in their beds!

Holly legged it back to the car and both ferrets said they wanted to be picked up 'cos OTL walks faster that they can!

I'm Off, see you back at the car!
Back home we had some Ox Heart for breakfast and the ferrets had a 'Rampage' while OTL was clearing their cage out.

Miss Snowflake had 'The Pickle' in her and both she and Mr Brambles spent some time chasing each other and 'Dooking' all around the bedroom!

OTL was on his knees playing with them but The Missus stayed on the bed out of the way 'cos she doesn't trust Miss Snowflake not to bite her toes!

After breakfast we all had a snooze, except OTL & TM who were busy watching the F1 Racing!

I must admit, I fell asleep during the race and woke up in time to see Hamilton finish in first place!

It was about then that I did my 'I wanna Walk' look at OTL followed with a little whimper, that normally does it!

I was a bit surprised to see OTL get out the rain coats! It was even worse when we went out, it was raining and it was raining so much that OTL didn't even take his camera with him!

So, down to the Sea Wall, a quick run around half of the normal route and then back to the car!

Back home again, a quick rub down with our towel and then up to bed to catch up on our snoozing!

OTL has got a curry tonight, so no muggings for me, but Holly does like a bit of Nan Bread dipped in the gravy, mind you, it does give her the wind!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Happy Easter and we go Bunny Hunting!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

It was a super morning on the beach, a bit drafty but the sun was up and shining. Old Two Legs had been telling us about Easter and the Easter Bunny, so, Miss Snowflake had decided that she would go Bunny Hunting and she started as soon as she was put down on the sand!

OK, just what does an Easter Bunny look like?
Mr Brambles said he would help her but he wasn't sure what an Easter Bunny looked like either!

Would a Bunny hide under Sea Weed?
Along the beach we met up with Mercedes, a big Bozo Labrador who just loves OTL! He stuck his head over the Sea Wall and said hello to the ferrets but they were too busy looking for Easter Bunnies!

Hello Ferrets!
Holly said she wanted to put together a portfolio of photos of her to show her in different poses.

She started off with her 'Wind Swept' look. She said that it should be titled 'Holly, Gone With The Wind.'

Gone With The Wind!
I said it should really be 'Suffering From Wind'!

......and that's when the fight started!

Miss Snowflake kept on hunting the Easter Bunny and you know, she even disturbed the Rabbits we normally chase!

Hunting the Easter Bunny!
We got home to a bowl of Doggy Scoff! Well, that spoilt our Easter! I showed off and went upstairs to the office where I finished off my Teeth Cleaning Chew!

We went with Old Two Legs to the Caravan Shop where he got some stuff for the caravan and we had fun woofing at the cat that was wandering around the car park!

We stayed with OTL while he did things in the caravan and afterwards we went down to the Sea Wall again!

Still blowing an Easterly!
OTL tried to take some pictures of the waves, but at ground level. He really should have got closer but the waves threatened to soak him!

Here come the waves!
Holly said she would do some more posing for her Portfolio and then did her 'Sporty' pose!

Miss Sporty Holly!
A bit further on she looked over the wall at OTL and he got another shot which he called ......

Sunshine on My Shoulder!
We spotted one tree that the leaves were just bursting and they looked good against the blue sky!

Spring is Bursting Out All Over!
Back home again and the Doggy Scoff was still there. With any luck we will be able to mug some food tonight!

Not sure what is happening tomorrow, maybe we will get to see the Easter Bunny, even if it is raining!

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Trying to Teach a Ferret to Line Dance & Caravan Fun with OTL

Hello Woofers!

We're back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Old Two Legs has a big list of jobs he has to do over the weekend, they all involve water and washing things, like, The Caravan, The Big Car, The Little Car, The Garden Path and other stuff!

We had a list for him as well and goes like this, Walk, Walk, Walk, and Walk!

It was sunny but with a bit of a wind this morning but Mr Brambles insisted on being carried on OTL's arm all the way down to the beach!

While Miss Snowflake was sniffin' about, Mr Brambles called out, 'Race You To The Top' and off he went!

Here comes Brambles!
Miss Snowflake said she didn't fancy all this rushing about and she would stay down the bottom having a sniff!

Sniffing is better than all this rushing about!
Of course, in no time Mr Brambles was at the top and showing off just 'cos he got up there first!

I'm the Winner, The Winner, The Winner!
Miss Holly Dog had gone on ahead to sniff out the path and OTL couldn't see her anywhere. So, OTL insists that he must be able to see us all at all times, even if we are a mile down the beach, so, he gave one of his Big Whistles which means 'Come Back to Me!

Back came Holly, tearing along the path saying 'Wot You Want OTL?' Mind you, she knew exactly what OTL wanted really!

You want Little Me?
Pretty soon we were all up on the path, Holly and I were Sniffin' The Sniffs while the ferrets went hunting Mouses and Voles!

Mouses have been here!
I said that ferrets should think of something else to do other than chasing Mouses and I suggested they try some Line Dancing. I set about showing them.

The trouble with ferrets is that they don't know their left paw from their right paw and they kept on getting out of step with each other!

No, Look, This is you Left Paw!
In the end I gave up and we all went home for some breakfast followed by a snooze.

That was until OTL started to wash the caravan, we were inside the caravan and as OTL moved down one way Holly and I ran down the caravan woofing at him!

Then we woofed at anyone who walked past the caravan, it was a good thing OTL left the blinds up!

Lunchtime we were down the beach again but I didn't go in swimming 'cos it too cold and the waves were splashing right up on the beach!

Not a day for swimming!
Holly and I chased a couple of rabbits and then tried a bit of 'Parallel Sniffing', it sort of sniffing but in Stereo!

Stereo Sniffing!
I had a quick blast along the Sea Wall doing my Line Dancing Practise that I was trying to show the ferrets!
Yer Put Yer Right Paw In!
All of a sudden I heard a load of woofing coming from the top of the hill but I didn't woof back, I just stood there looking for them!

I did hear a woofer up there!
Holly on the other paw, ran up the hill to say hello to the woofers and left me at the bottom!

By the time I got up there the woofer had wandered off with his owners and Holly was there grinning all over her face!

Don't worry, I sorted them out!
Back in the car, OTL was looking at some birds on a bush but we both woofed at his to 'Get Back Home' for a snooze!

Come on OTL, Home!

Back home we had our snooze and a little bit of chicken that was left over from breakfast and enjoyed the rest of the afternoon while OTL went back to work again!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

We hear our First Cuckoo!

Hello Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here again!

Guess What? We have heard our first Cuckoo this year! It was giving it some 'Welly' as we got out of the car for our morning walk and we could hear it all the way around our walk. Holly did at on stage ask if it tasted like chicken!

Miss Snowflake was caught off guard and thought it was a Hawk or Buzzard or even a Nargle!

Wossat Making That Row?
Mind you, she says that about almost every noise she hears!

She kept hiding every time the Cuckoo started calling and every time she asked.......

Is It Dangerous?
Back home to some Ox Heart and a snooze!

Lunchtime we met up with Spike who was having a brush on the Sea Wall, he said he could put up with it all day if need be!

Spike said that he was fourteen years old and enjoys the sort of activity that involves laying down on his back or his tummy or his side!

Spike, having a strenuous work out!
Old Two Legs was having an Infrared Day 'cos he hasn't played with the Infrared Thingy for some time, so, off he went clicking at everything he could see.

A Red Butterfly that isn't red!
Then of course, I found a stick and OTL threw it in the sea for me to fetch and I made sure to keep my tail up in the air!

Periscope Up!
There was just enough of a wave to help me back onto the beach every time I went in. OTL says that if the waves get bigger I will be able to surf back onto the beach!

A Surfin' Beach Babe!
We went into town to take some stuff to the carriers and also get some fuel for the little car. It was OK but a little boring 'cos OTL wouldn't let us woof at the cats we saw!

I'm Bored, can we go home now?
Even Holly agreed with me and told OTL to......

Wake me when we get home!
OTL says he is going to wash the caravan tomorrow, let's hope it doesn't rain!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

It's Windy Down Here in North Kent!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here with you again!

I don't know what it's been like where you are but here we have had sunshine together with a stiff breeze the last two days! Not that it worries us, the ferrets get tucked up in their 'Ferret Bag' and stay warm and Holly and I have a good covering of hair to stop us getting chilly. Not so Old Two Legs who is getting on a bit and says that he 'Feels The Cold'. Maybe we should get him a big warm blanket to wrap up in when he goes out!

Down on The Beach both ferrets got a move on and headed back towards the path back to the car, they said it was just 'Too Windy' on the beach and they didn't want OTL to catch a cold!

I was more interested in the sniff that was coming in on the breeze, I was sure it was Kebab and Chips and it was coming from the right direction, Margate!

Mmmm! Kebab and Chips with no Chilly Sauce!
On the steps leading up to the path a big pile of newly mown grass had been blown down the steps. Mr Brambles dived straight in and had a glorious roll in it saying that he 'Just Loves New Mown Grass'!

I jus' Love grass!
Miss Snowflake on the other paw said that she much preferred the feel of 'Growing Grass' under her paws!

Give me the real stuff!
While the ferrets were discussing the finer points of grass texture, I thought I saw a Monster in the grass. I did my 'Standing Up And Looking Big And Fierce Bit' and I gave the Monster a real good woofing.

OTL came past with the ferrets and asked why I was woofing at a bush?

I did feel a Bozo!

That Monster is Waving at Me!
Back to home and a bowl of chicken for breakfast.

OTL was still messing about with stuff on the bench and seemed to be very busy, so we left him to it and sneaked of for a snooze on the bed!

Lunch time  arrived and The Missus pinched the small car to do some shopping, so off we went in the big car that OTL had spent the weekend cleaning the inside and getting rid of all the stones and ferret hair from the seats.

Today, he put the back seats down and made us ride in the back, 'So We Don't Mess p The Seats With Our Paws', as if!

The tide was right in but I didn't go in swimming 'cos it was still windy and blowing the waves about.

Holly and I went off sniffing and trying to mug the fishermen for a sarnie or two but they had eaten them all by the time we got there!

No Fish and No Sarnies!
We came across one fisherman we see quite often and he was throwing his worm out into the water to teach him how to swim. Holly did ask if it would be easier if he took the lead weight off the line!

Get out and Swim!
OTL was keeping a good lookout for insects but, just the same as yesterday, it was too windy and he had great difficulty in getting anything to stay still. They all seemed to be flying past at 100MPH!

He did manage to get this one of a fly called a Flesh Fly, (He identified it when we got home) and said that close by there had been a dead rat, so the fly must have been feeding on that and also laying it's larvae on it as well!

Flesh Fly
We didn't hang about 'cos we didn't want any fly laying larvae on us!

Then we bumped into a butterfly which we think could be a female Orange Tip. The male has super Orange tips to it's wings!

Female Orange Tip
We had been running about all over the place and as we headed back to the car, Holly mentioned the fact that we hadn't seen a rabbit all day!

Most unusual!

Do you realise, we haven't seen a rabbit all day!

Back in the car OTL made us get into the car at the back and sit in the back of the car 'cos we had 'Dusty Paws'

We reckon he should get us a proper carpet we could wipe our paws on as we got in the car, at least that would stop him moaning about our paw marks!

Off now to wait for TM, she should be back soon and we have got to give her a warm welcome when she arrives!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.
