No Mud Pies, just a little Weed on the side!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again.

Wot a scorcher today!

It has been hot from the moment we woke up this morning. Even the ferrets were rolling around on their 'Cool Blanket'!

Down on the beach we were instructed to 'Stay Away From The Mud', so, when Snowflake invited us in for a cooling Sea Weed Wrap, we had to decline!

Come on Girls, you know you would Love It!
Old Two Legs was keeping a close eye on us, so we had to make do with digging the sand!

We are pretending it's mud!
Mr Brambles said we were acting like a pair of Bozo's but we didn't care 'cos we were having fun!

You two look like 'Bozo's R Us'!
We had a race around the rabbit patch but there was nothing there at all, we reckon they were all still in bed!

Nuffin, Absolutely Nuffin!
We met up with Oscar and Bonnie along the path and OTL had to pick both ferrets up and Oscar had to be put on his lead 'cos he's got a strong fancy for a 'Ferret Burger in a Bun'!

You can see it in his eyes that he has the 'Hunter Killer' instinct as far as small furry things are concerned!

Come on, just a bit off the flank?
Back home we crashed out after a breakfast of Ox Heart and OTL was still busy in the office 'Manufacturing' as he calls it!

This lunch time we were out again and OTL took his big camera together with the flash lights, which he forgot yesterday.

He is still after these Soldier Beetles that hang around the thistle plants.

He still is not happy with the results mainly because the flower heads were waving around in the wind and also those beetles just wouldn't take direction, they kept on running around the back of the flower!
OK, form a proper queue!
We're having a Love In!

What you doing up there?
Making more Beetles!
While OTL was taking these pictures, Holly and I were looking for shadows where we could have a rest. Holly found a bit of shade under a bush and I lay down in OTL's shadow!

Sneaky or wot!

When we finally got down to the beach again OTL said we couldn't go playing in the mud, so Holly and I had a quick play on the sea weed!

Well, it;s better than nothing!
Again, on the way back, Holly and I got ahead of OTL and made use of the shade under the picnic bench!

Next stop the car and a drink!
It wasn't long before we got back to the spot where we get our lead fitted. We were walking along the path when Holly said that I was off to the vets this evening to get stabbed. I said it was her that is going to get stabbed but OTL said it was both of us getting the needle!

OTL was going to have to pay for us getting injected!

So, not only were we getting hurt, OTL was going to be hurt in the wallet as well!

No, it's you getting stabbed, not me!
Well, it;s four thirty and OTL is calling us to come out to the car and off to the vets, so think of us!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

So, Who is for a sea weed wrap?

Hi Woofers!

We're back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

It has been very hot today, in fact so hot that the ferrets have spent most of the day on their 'Chilled Blanket' the one Old Two Legs has wrapped around a frozen block of something from the freezer!

Mind you, we haven't missed out on the 'Cooling Down Stuff' but more of that later!

This morning we were out a bit earlier, so we missed most of the usual woofers and we had the beach to ourselves.

Holly and I both decided to have a rest while the ferrets were playing in the sea weed.

Miss Snowflake says that if you lay down on the sea weed it is very cooling and most restful!

Well, whatever turns you on!

We said we preferred the beach 'cos we like the sand and as the tide had just gone out, it was still wet and damp, which was cooling as well!

We're the real 'Beach Babes'!
Mr Brambles was doing his 'Where's Me Head Gawn?' trick that we have seen so many times that now it's not even funny anymore!

Miss Snowflake was rolling on the sea weed and saying it was 'Really Cool'. We weren't sure if it was the sea weed that was cool or the act of rolling on it!

You don't know what your missing!
Back home we had some chicken and then headed off to the office for a well earned snooze before lunchtime.

OTL had spotted some more Soldier Beetles on the Thistles and this time he took his big camera and a tripod but forgot half of his flash system. So, he had to try to make the best of it with what sun there was.

Plus, the beetles weren't being very helpful, they kept on moving under the flower heads 'cos it was too hot!

OK, it's just too hot for all this stuff!
Remembering what Miss Snowflake had said this morning, I decided to try a Sea Weed Wrap and plonked myself down on the sea weed just off the beach.

Now, this looks like a good spot to try out this wrapping thingy!
I will admit, it was rather good!

I could get used to this you know!
While I was 'Chilling Out', Miss Holly Dog wandered a bit further along the shore line until she ran out of sea weed.

Now, Holly Dog was as hot as I was and she has a thicker coat than I do, so, she was looking for a 'Cool Spot'.

She found one.

In the muddy pool of water just off the beach!

Well, Holly is not your normal Water Dog but today she decided to try a 'Mud Bath'!

It cools yer bits off a treat!
That was it, I ran up the beach to where she was and we had a great game of 'Chase' along the muddy edge of the beach!

You know, OTL didn't even try to stop us! Not that he could have done anything without getting wet and muddy himself!

Come on OTL, Catch Me If You Can!
When we finally finished, we headed off to the car park. I said that I wanted to sit in the front seat on the way back and Holly said it was her turn 'cos I sat in the front on the way down here.

OTL said we were both going to sit in the back 'cos we were heading for a hose down as soon as we got home!

Hose down? Us? Why?

It's just a splash or two!
Holly reckons that it will dry off in no time and we didn't need a wash, not really!

I don't know what the fuss is all about!
We had to go into the house, by the back gate and before being allowed in, we both got a good soaking with the garden hose!

I wonder if we will be allowed to play in the mud again tomorrow?

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

If You Go Down to The Woods Today.............

Hi Woofers!

We're back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Another Super Summer Day!

When you think back to the storms and floods we had earlier this year, it's amazing how everything has bounced back and is growing taller than ever!

Except the rabbits, they are just as fast, but not any bigger!

Down on the beach this morning, Holly said she fancied spreading her Doggy Towel out and spending the morning 'Catching Some Rays' but Old Two Legs left the towel in the car, so that ended that plan!

Instead, she spread out and spent some time watching the ferrets play in the sea weed!

Just look at what they are doing now!
Mr Brambles was playing a game with OTL saying that he had 'Lost his Head'!

We didn't believe him and we don't think OTL did 'cos he just said that Snowflake was using it as a football!

Look! No Head!
Miss Snowflake was splashing about in a rock pool and saying just how refreshing it was to have cool water between her claws!

This is Seriously Cool!
Mr Brambles got fed up with 'Loosing' his head and followed Miss Snowflake into the rock pool for a splash about!

You are right, this is COOL!
Holly and I went off chasing the Corvid family and Holly still reckons that they would taste like chicken!

Come on, just a Little Nibble?
We all had a snooze when we got back home and the ferrets got a chilled block wrapped up in a towel put in their cage so they could keep cool.

Lunchtime OTL had to take some stuff down to the carrier and of course, we headed over to The Forest to search for Heeland Coos!

We sniffed all over the place looking for Coos.

Well, they've been here, you can tell by the pile of poo!
We spotted the notice on the gate and decided to let OTL go first, just in case!

After you OTL!
Well, we sniffed and looked and listened and sniffed again. Then Holly came across a sniff on a tree.

She said it wasn't squirrel and she was sure it wasn't Heeland Coo and she said that it wasn't ferret either!

It was certainly something big but she wasn't sure just what it was!

Now this wee is from a Big Animal!
Then, just as we were about to give up, heading our way, down the path, making sniffing noises, came the biggest pair of Bozo's Woofers we had seen in a long time!

OTL said that we shouldn't woof at them and you know what?

We Agreed!
Back home and with a bit of luck, we may even get some chicken tonight!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Chasing Things!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

What a super day today, the sun has been out and a gentle breeze to keep us from getting too hot. Of course, the ferrets made sure they got their splash about in the rock pools!

I Love the mud between my claws!
Holly and I spent some time running up and down the beach and rolling in 'Something Smelly' we found at High Tide mark!

Best of all was on the way back, we tried the old 'Sit and Wait' trick on the Bunny Rabbits!

Holly was ahead of  me but I still did my 'Softly Softly' creep up when the rabbit wasn't looking.

'Softly Softly Catchy Rabbit'
Holly had spent some time just sitting on the path watching the rabbits until they almost got used to her being there. So, every time they went about 'Rabbit Things' she wiggled her backside and shuffled up a couple of inches.

Wriggle, Wriggle, Creep, Creep!
It took some time but Old Two Legs was interested in seeing how Holly was getting along with her 'Rabbit Stalking' and he joined in and was inching his way along as well!

The ferrets were ferreting around and enjoyed themselves in the grass while the rest of us were wriggling and inching along!

Then, Holly was within about ten feet of 'Dopey Rabbit No 1' and felt like it was time to do the last few feet at speed, so, tensing her claws she sprang forward to get the rabbit.

The Last Few Feet!
The rabbit turned and ran back down the hole!

Never mind, back home we had chicken for breakfast instead of rabbit!

Lunchtime we were back down the beach again but just a little too early 'cos the tide hadn't come right in yet. I didn't mind but it did mean that I was running on the muddy stuff instead of swimming, well it made a change and I still got just as wet!

OTL and I were having fun, he threw the stick, then I splashed in and got it back, then I jumped up at his leg to tell him to throw it and in the end his trousers were soaked!

It was OK really 'cos the sun soon dried the water off!

So, there we were throwing and fetching the stick and having fun when all of a sudden, before I could rush out and get the stick, there was a flash of fur and the war cry of a Staffy and Bella just flew past us and was off chasing my stick!

It's a Bouncing Bella!
It was fun 'cos she would charge out to get the stick, carry it back in then drop it in the water, so off I'd go and fetch it in the rest so OTL could throw it out again!

Come on, I'll Mug you when you get back!
After Bella had gone back home I was feeling all big and brave, so, when I saw a big Bozo Alsatian German Shepherd Woofer on the next path, going in the opposite direction, I stood up on my back legs and gave it a Serious Woofing!

OTL said that I'd get into trouble one day!
OTL was pleased with his quest for the Soldier Beetle Picture. He hadn't brought his big camera 'cos he thought it was too windy but he did manage this one!

Making Beetles!
We are expecting more sunshine tomorrow, so claws crossed, more swimming and chasing rabbits!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

TM is now a Happy Puppy, again!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles beach with you again.

We have had 'Wailing and Gnashing of Teeth' over the last two days!

You see, The Missus managed to smash the screen on her iPlod Thingy Wotsit and to listen to her you'd have thought the end of the world had arrived!

How was she going to get on her blog? How can she process the pictures of cards? How can she get onto FacePaper to chat to all her mates while she is doing the dinner? Oh Doom and Woe!

The mascara was running down her cheeks making her look like Alice Cooper on a bad day!

That was yesterday.

Today, Old Two Legs took us for our morning walk, got back home, made a couple of telephone calls, left us to Doggy Scoff and went off with the iPlod and got it repaired, while he waited!

As you might guess, TM is now a Happy Puppy again!

It did mean that we didn't get our midday swim and roll in smells on the beach and we had to have a walk across The Fields, but we did manage to have a snooze in OTL's office while he was doing all his VAT stuff!

The only photo's he took were of the ferrets playing about in the rock pools!

Look, just hold yer tummy up, just like this!
Miss Snowflake just loves to paddle through the rock pools but Mr Brambles is a bit like Holly Dog, they both don't like getting their paws wet!

I Gotta Better Idea, Just Walk Around The Pool!
We were going to get OTL to take us out for another walk this afternoon but the rain came down and Holly and I decided that a warm bed was better than a soggy bottom, so we stayed indoors!

Tomorrow and the rest of this week should be good weather, so we are looking forward to some runs down in The Forest, chasing some more squirrels!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Me and The Washing Machine

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

What a super Sunday it has been.

It started off all sunny like and we all had fun on the beach this morning. Holly found a dead bird on the beach and stayed to have a really good sniff. Old Two Legs and me and the ferrets had climbed all the way up the path to the top of the hill when OTL noticed Holly wasn't in sight.

So, he called, then he whistled and then he whistled a Big Whistle and still no Holly!

He had a choice, pick up the ferrets and call me and march all the way back down the hill to find Holly or, as he did, he took off the ferret bag, put the camera in the bag, put the bag and ferrets on the ground, tell me to 'Guard' and then he ran down the hill, onto the beach, told Holly off and chased her away from the dead bird and all the way up the hill to collect the ferrets who were wondering what all the fuss was about!

OTL wasn't too happy with Holly and told her she was a Naughty Puppy, not that Holly was bothered, she enjoyed the sniff!

OTL spotted some more Soldier Beetles but didn't have the right camera, no tripod and it was too windy!

One day OTL will get a good shot!
Back in the Car Park OTL met one of his customers who was down on the beach for a bit of fresh air and sunshine!

35mm lens f5.6!
Back home we got served up with chicken and biscuits while OTL went off to the caravan with his tool kit to do some repairs to the electrics. After breakfast we went out to watch him but to be honest, it was all rather boring!

So we left him to it and off we went for a snooze!

By the time he had finished it was lunch time and we were busting to get down to the beach again, well I was 'cos the tide would be in!

Holly and I got out of the car and rushed off, Holly got delayed by an interesting sniff and OTL stood by to make sure she doesn't hang about!

I went off and found a pile of Super Smelling Doggy Dump and I had a good roll!

OTL didn't spot it to begin with but as I was pacing up and down the waters edge waiting for him to throw a stick.

At first he didn't want me to go in 'cos he said it was too rough but after seeing the Big Brown Patch on my back, he clipped the lead onto me and tossed a stick in the water.

Well, in I went, but the waves were bigger than normal and they were crashing on the shore!

I managed to get the stick a couple of times but got knocked about a bit and I was pleased that we had the 'Safety Lead' on!

After a bit OTL decided that the  Super Smelling Doggy Dump had been washed off and he let me back in and off the lead!

This is One Big Washing Machine!
I will admit, it was fun but I was pleased to get my four paws back on dry ground!

A Damp but Clean Doggy!
Just as we got back to the car park it started to rain, so I got a rub down with our towel and we headed back home for an afternoon snooze while OTL joined us for an hours snooze as well!

Tomorrow OTL has got a load of stuff to do so I expect Holly and I will have to amuse ourselves in the garden chasing the butterflies and bees around the 'Wild Flower' section!

I'll have to get OTL to take a picture of it 'cos it looks pretty with the Corn Flowers and Poppy's and other stuff we don't know what it called!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

The Ferret War Cry!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again!

Today we were expecting some sunshine and first thing it was all super sunny, but at ten fifteen the clouds came over and the treat of rain was upon us!

It had to rain, the local church was holding it's 'Garden Fete' in the field behind us! Seems they have no 'Influence' in 'High Places'!

Back to this mornings run.

We got down to the beach and of course, the first thing the ferrets do is to run down to the sea shore hunting 'Wriggly Things' and have a paddle in the rock pools!

I'm off Hunting Wriggly's!
Mr Brambles was more interested in doing some Rock Climbing up the top of the beach!

This is good exercise for a ferret!
Holly and I were on the lookout for rabbits and were doing our 'Sit Still & Wait' trick but today for some reason, no rabbit came out to play!

It didn't help when Mr Brambles offered to go down the hole and chase a rabbit or two out!

No, we don't need you to find us a rabbit to play with, thank you very much!
Back home, our road had been closed off because of the fete but Old Two Legs just drove over the sign!

Miss Snowflake had been telling us of the famous 'Ferret War Cry' and offered to demonstrate it using her toys.

Now, Holly and I thought it would be great fun and got ready to fake some 'Oooooh!' calls for when she started.

Now I know I'm not very brave but when she started it had me backing away towards the door!

She opened her mouth and showed her teeth and gave off a terrible howl that even silenced Holly!

Yhaawooool!!!!...............A Ferret, A Ferret, A Ferret!
First she attacked one toy and then next she took on both toys at the same time!

It was terribly impressive even if I say so myself!

OK, Now Both at The Same Time..............Yhaawooool!!!!!!!!
You know, I was glad when she got to the end of the demo, I've never seen all her teeth and claws at the same time before, scary!

The rest of the morning was all Snoozy 'cos OTL was busy doing bits of paperwork in the office, so we didn't see him until after lunch!

When we did get out again it was just starting to rain, not heavily but enough for Holly to notice and grumble!

Me? I just went for a splash, all on my own!

I just love a quiet splash about in my very own sea!
You could see there was some sort of rainy storm brewing, the clouds were getting blacker and heading our way!

Here comes the rain!
Funny thing was, it stopped as soon as we got home and that was it! No more rain. Maybe we will get some tonight while we're asleep, we don't mind that sort of rain, it washes the cars and waters the plants and makes puddles for Holly to skip around!

Bye bye for now!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.
