A Grey Day!

Hi Woofers!

We're back! Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Well, down here in the South East of England we normally get the hot a sunny weather, if there is any to be had.

Today there has been none! In fact, it has been dull and grey and just a little bit rainy!

There was quite a breeze blowing as well. The ferrets complained 'cos it was blowing their fur about and they had to work hard for any sniffs that were 'Wind Borne'!

Mind you, Holly and I had the same problem!

Down on the beach we were amused to see Old Two Legs trying to put Miss Snowflake down for a run around and a wee.

He put her down first and then got Mr Brambles out of the ferret bag. While he was trying to untangle Mr Brambles lead, Snowflake dashed around the back of him and climbed back into the bag!

So, after sorting Brambles out, he then had to find Snowflake who was buried well down in the Ferret Bag, keeping out of the wind!

When she was put back onto the beach, she was not a happy ferret!

I'd rather be in my bag!
It was a quick walk 'cos it had started to rain, so, we were back home quickly in case we got wet!

There was a Two Legs who came to our house to do some installation work on a new RCD Box (Household Wiring) that OTL had decided we needed and as it has to be registered with the council and done by an 'Approved' electrician, that means OTL has to pay someone to do it for him!

OTL was not a happy puppy!

Well, that took care of the morning 'cos there was no electricity, so Holly and I retired to our beds and snoozed the morning away!

OTL had to go out to see a customer, so no fun and games with him!

Our lunchtime walk was a little late and nothing had changed down on the Sea Wall, it was still a Grey Day!

Holly and I had some fun having races along the Sea Wall.

OTL would say 'Ready, Steady, Go!' and Holly and I started to run when he said 'Steady', well, we got bored waiting!

I'm normally first away 'cos it's easier for me to get moving than Holly 'cos there is more of her!

Ready, Steady, Gone!
Slowly Holly creeps alongside me and when I'm not expecting it, she gives me a shoulder shove which puts me off my running rhythm!

No Shoving!
Well, as I stagger a bit, Miss Cheating Pants Holly Dog manages to get her head in front and OTL declares her the winner 'By a Short Head'!

By a Short Head
You know, she keeps on about beating me at running but I tell her I let her win 'cos I'm just too kind!

She says it's because I'm too slow!

That's when the fight starts!

We have now got the power back on, so we're off to see if The Missus is cooking us anything or have we got Doggy Scoff!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

A Day of Ferreting!

Hi Woofers!

Here we go again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Today it has been a 'Quiet Day' you know, sort of nothing much happening but quite enjoyable at the same time!

We started off this morning with our normal run on the beach. Holly and I were into the 'Sniffs' while Mr Brambles was more interested in digging holes!

He is getting good at holes now and can whip one into shape pretty quickly!

.....and pat a little on the side to make it stay up!
Mind you, he always backs off when Miss Snowflake comes to join in the digging!

Back home we were waiting for The Missus to finish cooking our Ox Heart, so we went up stairs and jumped onto the bed to watch the ferrets playing.

Now, Old Two Legs keeps them in the office in a mighty big cage that we all call Snowy Heights. They run about in the office and if OTL doesn't keep a close eye on them, they will have a poo or a wee in their own special corner of the office!

OTL knows where they like leaving their 'Markers' and has put toilet paper down to catch it all. Of course, the ferrets nearly always miss the paper and leave their markers on the carpet!

OTL isn't too worried about it 'cos he cleans it up as soon as they have done it and then gives it a spray with some 'Pet Safe Disinfectant' which for some reason the ferrets love and they leave more 'Markers' on the sprayed area!

Over the time that the ferrets have been with us, the continued spraying has done more damage to the carpet than the ferrets poo'ing or wee'ing or digging holes in the carpet!

Mind you, the carpet is very old and OTL has plans to get rid of in when he next decorates the office.

He has said he will put down some wooden type flooring that will be easier to clean up after the ferrets!

It seems to be a never ending game with OTL and the ferrets. After he has cleaned the cage and put fresh water and food down, the ferrets then 'Escape' from the office. Well, they don't really escape, rather OTL opens the door and let's them out for a 'Rampage' through The Missus's 'Card Room' and along the passage way and into the bedroom then the toilet and then down the stairs! OTL tries to keep them upstairs where he says he 'Can See Them' and prevent them getting lost or escaping into the garden, which is not Ferret Proof!

The ferrets think it is all good fun, they believe they have 'Escaped' and go charging about  Dooking and Chuckling and fighting each other!

It's not 'Real' fighting but rather Ferret Fun!

First Mr Brambles pulls a face at Snowflake.

Yah!
Then Miss Snowflake dives at him and the fun begins!

Ouch! She's Got Me!
Then she rolls him onto his back, or he rolls onto his back and the tickling starts!

Both of them are Chuckling away like little kits (that's wot ferret children are called), and rolling about all over the carpet.

Give in or I'll tickle you some more!
Well, Mr Brambles being a lot older, fatter and just not as fit a Miss Snowflake is soon left gasping for breath and calling out that he 'Gives In!'

No More! I give in, I've been 'Deaded'!
Next thing you see is them having what Holly and I call a 'Mouth Fight' whilst cuddled up to each other!

Stop it! Your Tickling Me!
Then it all starts again and off they go, running up and down the passage way, in and out of TM's card room and all around the office, in and out of the toilet and back into the bedroom again!

Yah! Your biting my leg!
You would have thought that after the hour long walk along the Sea Wall and Beach they'd have been too tired to play any more!

Finally Mr Brambles goes back to the Snowy Heights for something to eat, a drink and mug some Ferret Nibbles off OTL before falling asleep on his bed.

Miss Snowflake stays up a bit longer, long enough to try to chase me down stairs, which she does, so she can have a sniff around my cushion under OTL's desk. She curls up in a ball and starts to snooze.

OTL gently picks her up and puts her next to Mr Brambles where they spend the rest of the day snoozing like only a ferret can!

After she has gone to bed I sneak back, curl up in a ball and have a snooze until lunch time.

You know, life don't get much better for the woofers in this house!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Another Day where TM is on TV and it's now ten bob to talk to her!

Hello Woofers!

Us back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Today Miss Snowflake has been a right pickle!

It started off with her sticking her head in the new water bowl Old Two Legs got for the ferrets yesterday. It's described as a 'Spaniel Bowl' as the sides slope in and therefore prevent the Spaniel from washing it's ears in the water whilst he is having a drink!

Well, Miss Snowflake decided that her ears were not going to flop over the side and instead, she would stick her whole head in the the bowl and blow bubbles!

OTL walked into the office just as she was taking her head out of the water to give it a good shake!

OTL got soaked!

Next, after she had been dried off by OTL, she started doing silly things, like, sticking her head in the box and imitating Mr Brambles by calling out.........

'ere! me 'eads Gone!
After that, she chased Mr Brambles all over the place, Dooking and Chuckling as she was jumping onto his back!

He just rolled over onto his back and started to Chuckle as well!

Then he would chase her and the pair would rush into TM's Card Room and hide in amongst the boxes of stuff!

Yeah, Just you and who's army!
Although Mr Brambles is much bigger than Miss Snowflake it is her that does most of the chasing! I think that really, Mr Brambles just wants a lazy life and Snowflake likes to wind him up!

After a while Mr Brambles manages to hide from Miss Snowflake 'cos he uses his extra special Camouflage trick and blends in with the office carpet!

If it wasn't for his eyes being open we reckon he would just disappear!

How's this for camouflage!
On our morning walk OTL saw a Small Skipper butterfly, now the butterfly is not rare or anything special, it was just the fact it was standing still!

A Small Skipper!
Down on the beach, Snowflake was enjoying a paddle and demonstrating her 'Tummy Lift' technique for stopping the water from soaking her bits!

Just lift your Tummy!
Then she turned around and waved her tail over the water........

Hang on, I'm having a wee!
Holly was staying well away from the water after yesterdays fun and games!

She didn't stop on the beach and instead ran up onto the Sea Wall and declared that........

My Butt's clean today!
Loads of fun!

Back home TM was watching the TV 'cos she had supplied some samples to be shown on the program.

Lunchtime came and we were off to do some deliveries and of course, as we were close to it, we stopped off at The Forrest to hunt some squirrels!

OTL spotted some Hover Flies and tried to take a picture but it wouldn't hover in the same place for long!

Only here for a mo!
Holly and I went off hunting and we looked high and low but we encountered just one Super Slippery Squirrel!

It started with me spotting it mooching around on the ground, so I gave Holly the 'Secret Sign' and we were off!

Wossat?
The trouble with squirrels is that they don't hang about long, not like the rabbits!

First it was here.
As soon as it realised that we were after it's tail, it shot up the tree and disappeared in the leaves!

A Squirrel 'disappearing'!
Back home we told the ferrets all about the squirrel but they were more interested in eating and drinking to have any sympathy for us!

Still, there is always tomorrow!

Bye, Bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Holly's Wash!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again!

Have we had some fun today!

First off this morning, we were down on the beach, the tide was in and I was having a great time swimming after stones that Old Two Legs had thrown in the water for me!

An Early Morning Swim, it don't get much better!
Holly was enjoying herself sitting on the beach watching the world go by!

This is close enough for me, thank you very much!
I tried to get her in the water but she declined the offer of a 'Splash and Dash'!

Come on, just run at it!
Little did she know what was coming!

Now, we are going to get our Hair Cut and stuff on Friday, so, we are maybe a little 'Hairier' than normal! Holly went off into the long grass to have a poo, as you do, and came out with a bit sort of hanging off her fur.

Holly, being the 'Technical' puppy that she is, worked out that if you sit down and drag your bottom along the ground you stand a good chance of getting rid of whatever is hanging on your fur.

There is another result of this bottom dragging.

The other result is to spread the poo all over the ground and all over your bottom leaving a well matted fur full of poo and an big patch of poo under yer tail!

You can guess what happened to Holly!

OTL took one look and took us all back down onto the beach where he let the ferrets run around the Ferret Bag while he cleaned Holly up. He did it by putting Holly's back legs into the water and holding her collar so she couldn't run away, he washed the poo off her bottom with the water and he even used some of the gravel on the beach to help scrub her butt clean!

I was laughing my tail off and the ferrets were giggling like mad!

Poor Holly got washed clean and the look on her face was of total disgust, well, you know how much she hates getting wet!

Lunchtime we had to go delivering and of course, Holly and I went with OTL to make sure he didn't get lost!

We stopped in the Riverside Park and had some fun chasing the sea gulls and woofing at the Bozo dogs we met!

A little Cloudy!
We explored some brickwork that Holly reckons is what is left from a fortress that was on the end of the point. I reckon it would be a good idea to get the Time Team in to do some digging!

Call in Time Team!
We went past the boat that has been parked up for some time. We had a sniff but it seems that it is falling apart at every time!

Shame, we could have had some fun if we repaired it!

Still here!
Checking the email, I see that there is a photo of OTL and TM at the party.

Holly says that he looks 'South London' the way he is clutching the beer bottle to his chest!

You can take OTL outta London but not the London out of OTL!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Holly's in Trouble, Again!

Hello Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Last night we got left on our own for a few hours while The Missus and Old Two Legs went out to a party! Well, we made the most of the time by sleeping on all of the chairs and we were both chewing on our carrots and teeth cleaning chews and leaving crumbs all over the place!

We know how to enjoy ourselves!

The walk this morning was fun.

Down on The Beach Mr Brambles surprised us all by going for a splash about in the water.

First he did a 'Ferret Dash' along the beach and ran through the water and jumped in!

Sloshing and a Splashing!
While OTL was taking photographs of Mr Brambles, he was kneeling on the beach, so Miss Snowflake took the opportunity to jump back into the Ferret Bag!

I just don't like the sand between my claws!
As we were laughing at Miss Snowflake, we heard a big splash and there, in the water, was Mr Brambles!

I'm just washing My Bits!
Miss Snowflake poked her head out of the bag to have a look and commented that she thought he was a Potty Ferret!
Is he Potty or Wot!
I thought it looked like fun so I joined Mr Brambles in the water!

It was great 'cos there were no big waves and there was very little wind as well!

There must be a stick here to chase!
OTL picked up a stone and threw it into the water, so, me, thinking it was a stick, went swimming out to fetch it.

Of course, no stick, but I saw something black on the water that had the look of a stick.

So, I made a grab at it and swam back to the shore.

When I got back and spat it out, what was it? Sea Weed! Yuk!

I got it, I got it!
Back home to get dried off and then OTL gave us both a brush and got all the bits of grass and seed burs out of our fur. You know it's amazing just how much we can pick up jumping through the undergrowth!

OTL, managed to finish all his work by about midday and sat down to watch the F1 racing.

Of course, you know what happened, just before the race was going to start, I got this terrible urge to go for a walk!

OTL was not a Happy Puppy!

Off we went and we had a good sniff and a snuffle while OTL was playing with his camera and a flower!

Blooming Pretty!
Of course, Holly and I were on our own and Holly found some really smelly stuff that just called out to her to have a roll, so she did!

OTL was not happy, in fact he grumbled at her and said she was a Smelly Nelly!

I was a good girl and stayed away from anything that might mess up my coat!

Mind you, I very nearly went rushing off after a rabbit that I could have sworn was lurking behind the bush!

Holly was given a good wash down with warm water and Doggy Shampoo, which didn't please her too much but OTL had hold of her collar, so it was a case of 'Stand Still and Get Washed'!

Is it? I'm sure it is!
When we got back home we found the F1 Racing had been stopped due to an accident, so OTL got to see the whole of the race!

We of course fell asleep while the racing was on but woke in time to see Lewis cross the line in first place, Yeah!

I think the sunshine is due back tomorrow, so, claws crossed!

Bye bye for now and see you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly (The Smelly), Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

A Day of Bugs and F1!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back on a cloudy Saturday!

Last night was good, not to hot and both Holly and I slept downstairs on the sofa. Mind you, we both were up early to wake Old Two Legs in time for him to take The Missus off to her 'Master Class' she is running today.

Instead, TM was up and running about when we woke up and you know what? She had loaded the car up, shipped all the stuff up to the village hall and was back before OTL sat down to breakfast with the ferrets!

Down on the Sea Wall we met up with a rabbit, sitting in the middle of the path, all big and bold as brass!

Holly did her 'Sneaky Sneaky, Creepy Creepy' but the rabbit got a sniff of Holly and that was it, he was off like a streak of light!

OK Rabbit, stay just there!
Down on the beach Mr Brambles was taking the mickey out of Holly by following her about and saying 'Take Me To Your Leader'!

Follow My Leader!
Miss Snowflake was more interested in trying to climb the Sea Wall but she said that she may need some extra equipment!

Ropes and crampons me thinks!
Back at home we were watching the F1 Practise but we all fell asleep until just before one when my body clock told me it was time for a walk!

The only problem was, the Qualifying was about to begin! OTL asked me how I managed to time it so that my desire to go for a walk coincided with something interesting on the television?

I told him, Easy!

It had stopped raining and we had a pleasant walk and there were some interesting sniffs as well.

I can see OTL!
OTL was on his knees photographing the bugs while we enjoyed the sniffs and other stuff!

Going for a flap about!
There were loads of bugs today, maybe it was the rain that brought them all out!

Smile! He's back again with his camera!
Just for a change, he found a Ladybird who was trying to hide from the wind but wasn't making a success of it!

Wot you looking at?
Back home, just in time to see the Qualifying finish! I won't tell you who got first but he's not British!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

No Mud Pies, just a little Weed on the side!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again.

Wot a scorcher today!

It has been hot from the moment we woke up this morning. Even the ferrets were rolling around on their 'Cool Blanket'!

Down on the beach we were instructed to 'Stay Away From The Mud', so, when Snowflake invited us in for a cooling Sea Weed Wrap, we had to decline!

Come on Girls, you know you would Love It!
Old Two Legs was keeping a close eye on us, so we had to make do with digging the sand!

We are pretending it's mud!
Mr Brambles said we were acting like a pair of Bozo's but we didn't care 'cos we were having fun!

You two look like 'Bozo's R Us'!
We had a race around the rabbit patch but there was nothing there at all, we reckon they were all still in bed!

Nuffin, Absolutely Nuffin!
We met up with Oscar and Bonnie along the path and OTL had to pick both ferrets up and Oscar had to be put on his lead 'cos he's got a strong fancy for a 'Ferret Burger in a Bun'!

You can see it in his eyes that he has the 'Hunter Killer' instinct as far as small furry things are concerned!

Come on, just a bit off the flank?
Back home we crashed out after a breakfast of Ox Heart and OTL was still busy in the office 'Manufacturing' as he calls it!

This lunch time we were out again and OTL took his big camera together with the flash lights, which he forgot yesterday.

He is still after these Soldier Beetles that hang around the thistle plants.

He still is not happy with the results mainly because the flower heads were waving around in the wind and also those beetles just wouldn't take direction, they kept on running around the back of the flower!
OK, form a proper queue!
We're having a Love In!

What you doing up there?
Making more Beetles!
While OTL was taking these pictures, Holly and I were looking for shadows where we could have a rest. Holly found a bit of shade under a bush and I lay down in OTL's shadow!

Sneaky or wot!

When we finally got down to the beach again OTL said we couldn't go playing in the mud, so Holly and I had a quick play on the sea weed!

Well, it;s better than nothing!
Again, on the way back, Holly and I got ahead of OTL and made use of the shade under the picnic bench!

Next stop the car and a drink!
It wasn't long before we got back to the spot where we get our lead fitted. We were walking along the path when Holly said that I was off to the vets this evening to get stabbed. I said it was her that is going to get stabbed but OTL said it was both of us getting the needle!

OTL was going to have to pay for us getting injected!

So, not only were we getting hurt, OTL was going to be hurt in the wallet as well!

No, it's you getting stabbed, not me!
Well, it;s four thirty and OTL is calling us to come out to the car and off to the vets, so think of us!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.
