TM Gets a new Work Station!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again!

After yesterdays fun and games, today we have been Lazy Puppy's and have been lazing about watching Old Two Legs working.

Today he decided to install a new 'Safety Camera Detector Thingy' cos' the last one sort of died on him a few days ago and he says that there is no way he is going to put money into those Yellow Piggy Banks!

Off we went, good and early, down to the beach where Miss Snowflake did her trick of climbing back into the Ferret Bag while OTL was looking to other way!

The Ladies were down on the beach having a Good Gas while Max, Oscar and Bryn were wandering around getting bored!

The Morning Gas!
We told them all about our day yesterday and made them right jealous, especially the bit about the hundreds and thousands of ferrets running around the show ground!

I bet your telling us Porkies!
You know, they didn't believe us until Holly showed them some of the pictures we took especially when the ferrets went out to meet the crowds!

Talkin' Ferret!
Then of course, everyone was stroking the ferrets as well!

That's the Strokey End!
Holly and I went off giggling about how we wound the lads up this morning!

OTL is still Hunting Bugs!
You would have thought that OTL would get fed up with photographing bugs but here he is, snapping away, trying to get the 'Ideal Shot'!

Back home it was Doggy Scoff again! I must say, she just never learns at all!

Lunchtime the tide was in, so me being me, I was straight in the water for a cooling splosh about!

This is The Business!
I was running in the water chasing a bit of stick OTL was throwing for me but every time I got to it, I gave it a nibble so the stick got shorter and shorter with every throw!

Soon there was nothing left at all and we had to give up the swimming!

This gets shorter every time!
OTL was running about snapping bugs again but this time he got a Hairy White Butterfly, or is it a Daytime Moth?

Back to the books again! Trouble is, he finds at least three or four that all 'Could Be It!'

Still, it keeps him out of trouble!

Moth or Butterfly?
We spent most of the day looking out of the front window watching OTL working on the little car.

About midday, a delivery man turned up with a load of boxes, TM's work station had arrived!

It is a Flat Pack Thingy, which meant that OTL was going to spend hours trying to work out what the instructions mean!

We weren't disappointed, it's been going on all evening, but, finally it is up and TM is filling it with all her paper and card and stuff.

Already she is talking about getting another one, just so she can 'Spread Out' a bit!

So, that's the reason we are late tonight!

It's getting to be a habit!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

We could get used to Wild Boar!

Hello Woofers!

It's us again! Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Have we had a day today! First of all we went out for our normal morning walk along the beach. Both ferrets wanted to get out of the bag early 'cos both had been at the diluted Lactose Free Milk and didn't have a wee before leaving home. So, as soon as Old Two Legs had cleared the car park, both ferrets were scrambling to get out of the bag!

Holly and wandered off ahead to see if there were any rabbits in the open but we were out of luck.

The ferrets, having got the taste of fresh air and damp grass and weasel sniffs, were quite happy to spend some time ferreting around in the undergrowth while Holly and I were watching the clouds descend on the river and start heading our way!

Before we knew it, the rain landed on us all, Holly and I were soaked down to our skin and the ferrets weren't any better. In fact Miss Snowflake even climbed up OTL's leg and got back in the Ferret Bag to keep out of the rain!

Mr Brambles preferred to run all the way back to the car park, stopping every so often to shake all the water off his coat!

Holly was the first back, with everyone close behind!

Back home, we all got a good rub down with our Doggy Towel, followed by another rub down after OTL had taken all his clothes off and changed into some new, dry, stuff!

After the ferrets had their run around the house and OTL had cleaned out their cage, it looked like the rain had stopped, so, Holly said that it would be a good idea to go up to The Show again!

OTL didn't need too much persuading and before we knew it, we were heading towards the Members Car Park!

We got there but had to pull over to the side to let a load of Fox Hounds go past and we both cheered as they passed. OTL thought we were barking and told us off!

Where's the Fox!
Soon we were walking through the entrance gate!

First stop was the Ferret Racing Tent to say hello and show off our new harnesses.

There was a young Two Legs having her first cuddle with a ferret,  Holly said that She wasn't going to get cuddled by anyone 'cos it was getting too hot!

First Cuddle with a Ferret!
When they saw us in our new harnesses, of course, everyone was going Ooo! and Ahhh! and Holly and I thought we were stars!

After a while we went off to see the other animals. There were some that looked like deer but OTL said they were Reindeer and Holly asked if they tasted like Bambi Burgers!

Bambi Burger?
The Daddy Reindeer got all upset and kicked his food bowl over and asked if Holly tasted like 'Hot Dog'

and do you taste like..................?
That was it, Holly said we should go before there was and trouble and a woofer resting on his bed said that they all tasted the same mixed with doggy biscuits in a Doggy Bowl!

....and they got strange sniffing poo as well!
From there we went to where the gun dogs were competing in a 'Hunt the Duck' contest. It involved the Two Legs waving their arms about and blowing on a whistle to guide the dog to the 'Duck' to pick it up and take it back to the Two Legs.

Well, the Two Legs was getting it all wrong and the Woofer was getting all confused as well. Holly and I were sitting there laughing our tails off and calling out 'It's behind You'!

It's behind you, Bozo!
Not that they listened to us 'cos they are being trained to listen to the Two Legs and that silly whistle thing!

We saw some young Two Legs trying to fly but Holly said they would never make it and she was right, they just kept on going around in circles!

Go On, Flap Harder!
We decided to have our lunch at the same place again and this time OTL was going to have some Wild Boar Sausages as well!

We passed the 'Country Pursuits' tent and there was a woofer in the cage we hadn't said hello to, so Holly asked it what it was, as you do, and Holly thought he said he was a Lurker!

Holly asked what a Lurker did, and then laughed 'cos she suddenly realised that Lurkers Lurk!

The 'Lurker' got all upset and growled that he was a Lurcher and he chased little dogs to bite their tails off!

Putting Holly Right!
Holly said that being a Lurcher couldn't be all that clever 'cos he was stuck in the cage while we were off to sample some Wild Boar, so there!

I must say, the Wild Boar tasted as good as the ones we had yesterday!

We headed back to watch the Ferret Racing and on the way we saw a woofer all dressed up for the rain. Well, both Holly and I just sat down with amazement, who on earth would dress a woofer in a coat like that, I mean, that woofer will have no 'Street Cred' for years!

Don't blame me, I can't help their dress sense!

Back at the Ferret Tent they were getting ready for the races, Roy was giving the ferrets a 'Pep Talk' and warning against cheating or foul play!

OK you lot, I want good clean racing!
Then the races began.

It's the first one fully out that wins!
Not everyone understood the rules but they all had fun and while there is always a winner, there is always a looser!

I Won! I Won!, I Won!
Now, let us introduce Stan The Ferret.

Stan has not had a very good start in life and arrived at the Harrietsham Ferret Rescue Centre with his tail missing and his back legs unable to support his back end. With a lot of care and looking after and the use of a Ferret Swimming Pool, he has now regained the use of his back legs and while nothing can be done about his missing tail, he is strong enough to join in the Ferret Races!

Meet Stan!
He is always willing to have a go at the racing and although he doesn't go as fast as some of the others, he does get a good cuddle from Chris after his race!

Coming last has it's perks!
Mind you, Stan does make sure he gets every treat he can and is always up for a lick of Ferret Oil!

Stan gets his Prize!
We thought of another game to play with the ferrets, it's called 'Grow Your Own Ferret Beard'!

Who is that on the Ferrets Head?
We had to say good bye to the Ferrets as OTL wanted to drop into the Doggy Shop on the way home to get another plastic ferret water bottle for their travelling cage. So it was Bye Bye Ferrets!

Bye bye Woofers! I really need more iron in my diet!
Back home we went straight down to the beach for a walk but the tide was on it's way out, so no 'Deep Water Swimming' today!

Well, it's cooling for me bits!
By the time we got back, The Missus had arrived from her Master Class and we had great fun telling her all about our day!

That's why we are a little late in uploading today, sorry!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

We go to the Kent County Show!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

What a 'Rush Around Day'!

First of all we got a message saying that Maisey wasn't able to make it today. Shame but no problem, there's always next time!

Old Two Legs said that we were off to do some deliveries and then the Kent County Show!

Both Ferrets said that they would pass on the visit if we didn't mind 'cos they did it last year and to be honest, it was just a bit boring!

No Thanks, I'll stay in here!
When we were ready to leave, we dropped in to say Bye Bye but the ferrets were fast asleep dreaming of food and Ferretone!

Serious Snoozing Ferrets!
Off we went and soon got the deliveries out of the way and then down the road to the Kent County Show Ground.

OTL is a member of the organising society so he gets waved through and ushered into the Members Car Park!

Are we Posh or wot!

We had a wander around and the first place we stopped was at the 'Country Pursuits' section where there were OTL spotted a Peregrine Falcon (Male) sitting on its perch. It started to flap around showing off its wings and talons. Holly just had to ask the question, just a little louder than she should have done and..........

......No! I don't taste like Chicken, do you?
Well, that told us!

There was a couple of deep looking pools where doggy's were being taught to jump off a ledge and go swimming to fetch a ball. OTL asked if I wanted a go but I said I didn't have my towel with me so, maybe next year!

Phew! Says Holly, that was close!

Next stop was the Ferret Racing that was being run by Roy and Chris from the Harrietsham Ferret Rescue, (that's where Mr Brambles came from).

We stuck our noses in and saw some super cute ten week old ferrets. OTL went all Gooey Eyed, so we had to drag him out or he would be making an appointment to visit and that would not go down well with The Missus!

A Three Ferret Doughnut Snooze!
Next we were off to watch the horse jumping. When we got there it was the Junior Jumping and the look on their faces told you that they were really trying!

Serious Stuff this Jumping!
We were saying 'Hello' to loads of woofers we met. Some only as we passed by and others, like Scruff, who were bored out of their mind watching the world go by!

You know, I'd rather be chasing rabbits!
We stopped at one of the show rings and watched a load of Canadian Royal Mounted Police riding around on motorcycles looking for their horses!

Well, that's what Holly said they were!

A Horse, A Horse, My Kingdom for A Horse!
More sniffs and Doggy Hello's and a super sniff came over the wind!

Hello mate, that sniff is coming from down there!
As OTL was wandering in that direction we didn't have to drag him there!

The stall was selling Venison Burgers and Wild Boar and Apple Sausages and we know OTL has brought from this stall in the past. So, we stood still while he looked at the menu and then we whispered, 'Go on, you are hungry!'

It worked!

OK, says OTL, what do you want?

'Wild Boar Sausages Please' we said together!

Lunch is served!
Then headed off to watch the horses again while we had our lunch. OTL had the Bambi Burger and we had one and a half sausages each!

Lunch is over!
We stopped at the Country Pursuits tent again and we made fun of the woofers stuck in the cages. Holly had a chat with most of them and they said it was OK really it was fun watching the Two Legs walking past!

Yeah, I like chasing the foxes where I live!
They got out every so often to chase a 'Pretend' rabbit up and down the show ring. It also gave them a chance for wee and stretch their legs!

Yeah, the show is on again in an hour!
Off we wandered again and were amazed to see this Two Legs walking down the path towards us puffing and blowing and banging a drum with his elbows and clashing cymbals with his knees and playing a Squeeze Box!

Strange or Wot!
OTL said he was fed up with us trying to walk faster than him and pulling on our collars, so we stopped off in a Doggy Stall and he brought us a super harness that wraps around our neck and shoulders. It's going to take a bit to get used to it but at least we won't be gasping for breath!

Do we look The Dogs, or Wot!
Before heading home, we stopped again at the Ferret Racing Stall and said good bye to Roy and Chris and one of the ferrets asked us to 'Say Hello' to Mr Brambles for them!

Say Hello to Brambles and we hope he is enjoying life!
Back home we just had time for a drink and we were off again to pick up TM from her 'Master Class' at the village hall.

Unfortunately we have got Doggy Scoff tonight, it's just not the same as Wild Boar and Apple Sausages!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Short Back and Sides and we got locked in almost All Day!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

We are not Happy Puppy's today!

It started off this morning when we went for our walk along the beach.

It was raining!

Not that rain that soaks you, but the sort of rain that slowly creeps up on you and by the time you notice it, it's too late, your soaked!

The only person who noticed it was Old Two Legs and he left his camera in the car so it didn't get wet!

By the time we got back to the car we were all wet through and OTL had to dry us off with our 'Doggy Towel'!

After getting dried, off we went to have our hair cut.

We hadn't had our breakfast yet and there we were, shoved into a cage with just a water bowl and a sniff of damp doggy!

The worse bit was hearing OTL being told that '...they were very busy today and could he call back between three and four!

WHAT? All day without a nibble or some of the ferrets 'Treats'?

OTL got home and started to clean out the ferrets home. They, of course, were Dooking and Chuckling whilst bounding about all over the place. Miss Snowflake managed to have a wee and a poo on top of the toilet paper OTL put down in the toilet, in the corner she favours.

He told her she was a 'Good Little Ferret', I bet he wouldn't say that to Holly or me if we did a poo in the corner!

Miss Snowflake was really showing off 'cos she went up to wash her paws straight afterwards!

Gawd, we'll never hear the end of this!

Now, this is where I wash my paws.
Talk about laying it on thick!

......and this is where I dry my paws!
The pair of them had a great old time dashing about and not worrying about Holly and me being around the next corner.

Mr Brambles was in and out of TM's Card Room, in and out of the boxes and then into the bedroom and under the bed. Of course, Snowflake was chasing him most of the time and he said that when he got too tired from being chased, he ran up to OTL and jumped up on his lap so he'll protect him for Snowflakes advances!

I know you're there, I can See You!
OTL said that he spent most of the day 'Manufacturing' and he had a big box of stuff to take down the carriers!

Well, the Poodle Parlour was very busy, woofers coming and going and we were getting very bored sitting in the cage, I mean, there's no room to go for a gallop around and there's no rabbits to chase!

Mind you, we do know there are cats here 'cos we can hear them howling to get out, just let them loose in our cage and we'll have some fun!

Still when we were finally finished, we looked 'The Business' all done up like a couple of Tarts as OTL says!

He finally picked us up and after a lick and a kiss and a drink of water we were heading off home to some grub, chicken, roast to perfection!

Another bit of news, we are expecting another woofer to visit us tomorrow, goes by the name of Maisey and she is blind. So we are going to be on our best behaviour and show her all the 'Good Sniffs' and even let her eat and drink out of our bowls!

We will let you know how we got on!

TM says that if we are good girls we may even get Archie Babe visiting one day, providing he can stay awake!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

A Grey Day!

Hi Woofers!

We're back! Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Well, down here in the South East of England we normally get the hot a sunny weather, if there is any to be had.

Today there has been none! In fact, it has been dull and grey and just a little bit rainy!

There was quite a breeze blowing as well. The ferrets complained 'cos it was blowing their fur about and they had to work hard for any sniffs that were 'Wind Borne'!

Mind you, Holly and I had the same problem!

Down on the beach we were amused to see Old Two Legs trying to put Miss Snowflake down for a run around and a wee.

He put her down first and then got Mr Brambles out of the ferret bag. While he was trying to untangle Mr Brambles lead, Snowflake dashed around the back of him and climbed back into the bag!

So, after sorting Brambles out, he then had to find Snowflake who was buried well down in the Ferret Bag, keeping out of the wind!

When she was put back onto the beach, she was not a happy ferret!

I'd rather be in my bag!
It was a quick walk 'cos it had started to rain, so, we were back home quickly in case we got wet!

There was a Two Legs who came to our house to do some installation work on a new RCD Box (Household Wiring) that OTL had decided we needed and as it has to be registered with the council and done by an 'Approved' electrician, that means OTL has to pay someone to do it for him!

OTL was not a happy puppy!

Well, that took care of the morning 'cos there was no electricity, so Holly and I retired to our beds and snoozed the morning away!

OTL had to go out to see a customer, so no fun and games with him!

Our lunchtime walk was a little late and nothing had changed down on the Sea Wall, it was still a Grey Day!

Holly and I had some fun having races along the Sea Wall.

OTL would say 'Ready, Steady, Go!' and Holly and I started to run when he said 'Steady', well, we got bored waiting!

I'm normally first away 'cos it's easier for me to get moving than Holly 'cos there is more of her!

Ready, Steady, Gone!
Slowly Holly creeps alongside me and when I'm not expecting it, she gives me a shoulder shove which puts me off my running rhythm!

No Shoving!
Well, as I stagger a bit, Miss Cheating Pants Holly Dog manages to get her head in front and OTL declares her the winner 'By a Short Head'!

By a Short Head
You know, she keeps on about beating me at running but I tell her I let her win 'cos I'm just too kind!

She says it's because I'm too slow!

That's when the fight starts!

We have now got the power back on, so we're off to see if The Missus is cooking us anything or have we got Doggy Scoff!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

A Day of Ferreting!

Hi Woofers!

Here we go again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Today it has been a 'Quiet Day' you know, sort of nothing much happening but quite enjoyable at the same time!

We started off this morning with our normal run on the beach. Holly and I were into the 'Sniffs' while Mr Brambles was more interested in digging holes!

He is getting good at holes now and can whip one into shape pretty quickly!

.....and pat a little on the side to make it stay up!
Mind you, he always backs off when Miss Snowflake comes to join in the digging!

Back home we were waiting for The Missus to finish cooking our Ox Heart, so we went up stairs and jumped onto the bed to watch the ferrets playing.

Now, Old Two Legs keeps them in the office in a mighty big cage that we all call Snowy Heights. They run about in the office and if OTL doesn't keep a close eye on them, they will have a poo or a wee in their own special corner of the office!

OTL knows where they like leaving their 'Markers' and has put toilet paper down to catch it all. Of course, the ferrets nearly always miss the paper and leave their markers on the carpet!

OTL isn't too worried about it 'cos he cleans it up as soon as they have done it and then gives it a spray with some 'Pet Safe Disinfectant' which for some reason the ferrets love and they leave more 'Markers' on the sprayed area!

Over the time that the ferrets have been with us, the continued spraying has done more damage to the carpet than the ferrets poo'ing or wee'ing or digging holes in the carpet!

Mind you, the carpet is very old and OTL has plans to get rid of in when he next decorates the office.

He has said he will put down some wooden type flooring that will be easier to clean up after the ferrets!

It seems to be a never ending game with OTL and the ferrets. After he has cleaned the cage and put fresh water and food down, the ferrets then 'Escape' from the office. Well, they don't really escape, rather OTL opens the door and let's them out for a 'Rampage' through The Missus's 'Card Room' and along the passage way and into the bedroom then the toilet and then down the stairs! OTL tries to keep them upstairs where he says he 'Can See Them' and prevent them getting lost or escaping into the garden, which is not Ferret Proof!

The ferrets think it is all good fun, they believe they have 'Escaped' and go charging about  Dooking and Chuckling and fighting each other!

It's not 'Real' fighting but rather Ferret Fun!

First Mr Brambles pulls a face at Snowflake.

Yah!
Then Miss Snowflake dives at him and the fun begins!

Ouch! She's Got Me!
Then she rolls him onto his back, or he rolls onto his back and the tickling starts!

Both of them are Chuckling away like little kits (that's wot ferret children are called), and rolling about all over the carpet.

Give in or I'll tickle you some more!
Well, Mr Brambles being a lot older, fatter and just not as fit a Miss Snowflake is soon left gasping for breath and calling out that he 'Gives In!'

No More! I give in, I've been 'Deaded'!
Next thing you see is them having what Holly and I call a 'Mouth Fight' whilst cuddled up to each other!

Stop it! Your Tickling Me!
Then it all starts again and off they go, running up and down the passage way, in and out of TM's card room and all around the office, in and out of the toilet and back into the bedroom again!

Yah! Your biting my leg!
You would have thought that after the hour long walk along the Sea Wall and Beach they'd have been too tired to play any more!

Finally Mr Brambles goes back to the Snowy Heights for something to eat, a drink and mug some Ferret Nibbles off OTL before falling asleep on his bed.

Miss Snowflake stays up a bit longer, long enough to try to chase me down stairs, which she does, so she can have a sniff around my cushion under OTL's desk. She curls up in a ball and starts to snooze.

OTL gently picks her up and puts her next to Mr Brambles where they spend the rest of the day snoozing like only a ferret can!

After she has gone to bed I sneak back, curl up in a ball and have a snooze until lunch time.

You know, life don't get much better for the woofers in this house!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.
