Flash, Boom, Bang Flash!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

First of all, Mr Brambles would like to say thanks to everyone who sent him birthday greetings and cards and presents and messages!

Late in the afternoon it was really hot, I mean, horribly hot and the ferrets were saying they could do with some gentle breezes!

OTL, being sneaky, put them in the 'Show Cage' and then planted them on the patio where it was shady and cool!

Mr Brambles said it was brilliant 'cos he could check out the sniffs!

Sniffs and a cooling breeze!
Miss Snowflake tried to get out but OTL said that was how she got lost last time, so she agreed to get back in and join Mr Brambles in sniffing!

Go on, just a little run around the garden!
They stayed outside until it was getting dark, in fact they stayed out until it started to rain. Now, rain is OK but only when you are indoors or in the car!

This has been great, can we come in now?

We all got inside and looked out of the window and wot a show we had before bedtime!

Mr Brambles said it was the best birthday celebration he has had in years!

It started off with some very strong wind, followed by flashes of lightening and then the thunder!

Holly didn't like the thunder but she cuddled up to Old Two Legs and The Missus and it didn't seem too bad!

Of course, OTL was there with his camera and managed to take a few snaps!

It's not really hitting the chimney!

It's not really hitting the chimney!

This is one of the Sheet Lightening that seems to light up all of the sky but with a digital camera you can see the colours!

Sheet Lightening, good or Wot?

This one was taken out the front of the house but we had to have the window shut 'cos of the rain, so, pretend you can't see the rain drops on the window!

It's behind you!
We caught this one just as the lightening was searching for somewhere to land!

Coming into land!
This is another one looking for a place to land!

Here we come again!
It was all exciting but I think we were really glad when it finished, well, at least we could get some sleep!

So, that's it for now, a sort of different report on our adventures!

Today we have been very lazy, snoozing, snoozing and a bit more snoozing!

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Mr Brambles Birthday Today!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here again!

We all sang 'Happy Birthday' to Mr Brambles this morning, except The Missus who said she was too busy!

Boo Hissss!

You know what? She didn't even make him a card!

BOOOOO! HISSSSSSSSS!

Mr Brambles said thanks all around and had fun opening his presents. Now, Mr Brambles is a bit like Holly. Number one priority is a full tummy!

Number two priority is knowing where the next full tummy is coming from!

Mr Brambles was well pleased with the packets of Nibbles we all gave him and Miss Snowflake even gave him a pack of her favourite  'Chicken Sticks that not only taste wonderful but clean your teeth at the same time!

Holly and I gave him a pack of Ferret Nibbles that we know he loves and they also stop 'Hair Balls'!

Old Two Legs gave him a new bottle of Ferretone, all to himself but he said he would share that with Snowflake!

We were about to go out for our walk when the heavens opened up and with the accompanying Thunder and Lightening, it poured down! OTL was considering postponing the walk for an hour but after breakfast, it all cleared up and with the sun poking through the mist, off we went!

After the Rain, the Sun!
The tide was in but we all decided it was possibly just a little too rough to have a swim and not exciting enough to have a paddle, so we all went off sniffing sniffs and woofing at the other doggy's out for their walk!

It;s a bit too rough for me!
This morning we, Holly and me, went down to the vets and we got stabbed, again!

I was feeling a bit scared but when that vet stuck his head out of the consulting room and called our name, well, that was it, I snapped!

Holly was trotting towards him, so was OTL but I was Nose Down, Tail Up and all four legs rigid and skidding across the lino tiles!

I know it wasn't too painful and I know it is in my best interest and I know that OTL loves me, but.......................I HATE THE VETS!!!!!!

Back home to find the ferrets asleep, full tummies and an empty packet of Chicken Sticks!

I know they wouldn't have scoffed them all, so we reckon that they have stashed them away for later!

We all had a snooze until lunchtime when OTL had to go out 'Delivering' and he also said we would go down The Forest 'cos it's just too hot in the sunshine!

Well, that's OK by us, a trip in the big car with the air conditioning and  high up so we can woof at all the woofers walking by!

Down in The Forest it was a lot cooler than in the direct sun shine, so Holly and I got down to some serious sniffing and squirrel hunting!

I can Sniff Squirrel!
We managed to chase a few squirrels but they were up the tree trunks like a Greased Ferret!

And you know how fast a Greased Ferret can go!

Me, Squirrel Spotting!
As we came to the end of the walk we bumped into the Heeland Coos who were having a munch on the bracken.

Holly said that she could hear crunching going on but couldn't see any coos! The coos thought that was a great joke and called back that they were hiding from little dogs 'cos they were frightened!

We knew they were joking really!

Spot the Heeland Coo hiding in the bracken!

Back home the ferrets were chilled out on the cold block under the blanket and Mr Brambles was playing in the water bowl by scooping the water out with his paws!

So, there may be some more thunder and stuff tonight but we don't mind that, it's the Whizz Bangs we really don't like!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr (I'm 5 or 6 Today) Brambles.

Hot or Wot!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back with you!

Phew, wot a scorcher today! It has been Hot, Hot, Hot!

Even when we went out for our morning stroll it was warming up. The ferrets kept stopping in the shade of the bushes for a rest, Old Two Legs had to pick up Mr Brambles and carry him a couple of times 'cos he said he was too 'Wacked' to carry on!

Mind you, they have a big block of frozen stuff wrapped up in a blanket for them to fall asleep on if it gets too warm!

The tide was out, so no swimming but Holly and I managed a paddle in the mud and we even sat down on the sea weed to cool off!

Cooling me Bits, Just Cooling Me Bits!
When we got back to the Sea Wall, OTL called us both 'Mucky Puppy's' but we didn't care!

A MK1 Mucky Puppy!
Heading for home, I was chased by a Springer Spaniel who said that the mud on my butt sniffed 'Super' and could he have another sniff!

Well, I'm not that sort of puppy and I woofed at him and ran back to OTL to get him to protect me!

OTL! He's Chasing Me!
Back home, we settled down to some OX Heart followed by a good long snooze!

Now at this point everything goes wrong!

First of all , OTL  and The Missus leave us to snooze while they are out shopping or something, Back they come at midday, OTL takes us out for a run around the field at the back of the house and when we get back, we're left alone again while they sneak off again!

This is not on!

Late afternoon back they come and TM has a silly grin all over her face, she has got a new iPlod Thingy and OTL looks very unhappy, his wallet just got a lot thinner!

So, there I was, all ready to sit down and do Daisy's Blog when the Internet connection crashed and stayed off for ages!

It finally came back to life again at seven thirty, so I've been busy tapping away wearing my claws out on the keyboard!

The things I do to keep you lot happy!

Tomorrow is going to be fun.

It's Mr Brambles Birthday!

Well, it's been a year since he arrived and as we didn't know his proper birthday, we decided that we would use the day he arrived here as his birthday!

Tomorrow we are going to have a big party and boogie well into the afternoon!

Sorry about the noise we will make but you have no idea just how excited these ferrets get on their birthday!

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr (Boogie, Boogie) Brambles

We are still having fun in the water, even Holly!

Hello Woofers!

Here we are, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles, back again!

What a day! Hot, Hot, Hot!

We woke Old Two Legs up good and early this morning, a cold wet nose in one ear and a wet tongue in the other, who could ignore that!

Off down to the beach but the tide was right out so we had to play games instead of having an early morning dip!

The ferrets decided to have a climbing race up the Rock Wall and of course Miss Snowflake won, even though Mr Brambles said he let her win 'cos when he beats her, she bites his tail!

First Again!
In fact, to rub it in she accused Mr Brambles of cheating by using climbing ropes!

Poor lad, it really wasn't his day today!

I can see the ropes!
Back home, Miss Snowflake was still dancing around a shouting 'I Won, I Won' but she tripped up and fell into the big Dogs Water Bowl and soaked herself from her tummy to the tip of her tail!

OTL had to get a towel and dry her off, but it didn't stop us from laughing at her wet misfortune!

It wasn't long before we all crashed out and spent the morning snoozing. OTL was still in 'Manufacturing Mode' and he didn't bother us until lunchtime when we headed off to the beach again!

The tide was still out, so we couldn't go for a swim. Instead, Holly and I had a paddle in the muddy Rock Pool, yes, even Holly got her paws wet!

I don't care, it's Cooling!
After that dip we found some shade under the table to park ourselves while OTL was clicking away with his camera.

He had picked up the wrong camera and had brought the Infrared Thingy, still, we haven't seen it for some time!

We love the shady bit!
OTL was still chasing the bugs and this is what the Soldier Beetles look like in Infrared!

Orange Beetles in Thistle Plants!
The weather man says that it will be warmer tomorrow so OTL may get a paddling pool made up for the ferrets to have a swim in.

Now, that should be fun!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

She has Done It Again!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

Another sunny day and loads of fun! Miss Snowflake was in a hurry and tried to stow away in the Ferret Bag before Old Two Legs had finished his breakfast!

He won't see me in here!
As if we wouldn't notice that squiggly ferret running around in the bag!

We started off this morning with races up and down the beach. Holly and I were doing out 'First To Blink' game which in turn changed into 'Race You Up The Beach'!

First to Blink?
Not to be outdone, the ferrets lined up on the beach and OTL called out, Ready, Steady.............but they had both gone by then!

Seems they are taking after Holly and me and cheat!

My Tails Faster Than Yours!
Back home The Missus was getting all upset. It seems her iPlod Thingy Wotsit isn't charging and she can't listen to the Archers! So, OTL had to take it to the menders again, this time he had to leave it there overnight. I suppose it's a bit like us and the vets, if it is serious or going to cost a lot of money, you have to stay in overnight!

Back home, OTL asked TM to take us for a walk at lunchtime, while he was out at the iPlod Menders,, what did we get? A walk across the Farm Field! Not exactly the most exciting walk we've had, so we were glad when OTL finally got back in and off we went to The Beach where I enjoyed a super splash about in the sea!

That's living!

By the way, this is the New Workstation that TM has set up, loads of draws to put the glue and glitter in and a big table top on which she can make loads of mess!

That cutting mat belongs to OTL, TM has stolen it 'cos she can't afford a proper one herself!

Well, it keeps her out of too much trouble!
See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

TM Gets a new Work Station!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again!

After yesterdays fun and games, today we have been Lazy Puppy's and have been lazing about watching Old Two Legs working.

Today he decided to install a new 'Safety Camera Detector Thingy' cos' the last one sort of died on him a few days ago and he says that there is no way he is going to put money into those Yellow Piggy Banks!

Off we went, good and early, down to the beach where Miss Snowflake did her trick of climbing back into the Ferret Bag while OTL was looking to other way!

The Ladies were down on the beach having a Good Gas while Max, Oscar and Bryn were wandering around getting bored!

The Morning Gas!
We told them all about our day yesterday and made them right jealous, especially the bit about the hundreds and thousands of ferrets running around the show ground!

I bet your telling us Porkies!
You know, they didn't believe us until Holly showed them some of the pictures we took especially when the ferrets went out to meet the crowds!

Talkin' Ferret!
Then of course, everyone was stroking the ferrets as well!

That's the Strokey End!
Holly and I went off giggling about how we wound the lads up this morning!

OTL is still Hunting Bugs!
You would have thought that OTL would get fed up with photographing bugs but here he is, snapping away, trying to get the 'Ideal Shot'!

Back home it was Doggy Scoff again! I must say, she just never learns at all!

Lunchtime the tide was in, so me being me, I was straight in the water for a cooling splosh about!

This is The Business!
I was running in the water chasing a bit of stick OTL was throwing for me but every time I got to it, I gave it a nibble so the stick got shorter and shorter with every throw!

Soon there was nothing left at all and we had to give up the swimming!

This gets shorter every time!
OTL was running about snapping bugs again but this time he got a Hairy White Butterfly, or is it a Daytime Moth?

Back to the books again! Trouble is, he finds at least three or four that all 'Could Be It!'

Still, it keeps him out of trouble!

Moth or Butterfly?
We spent most of the day looking out of the front window watching OTL working on the little car.

About midday, a delivery man turned up with a load of boxes, TM's work station had arrived!

It is a Flat Pack Thingy, which meant that OTL was going to spend hours trying to work out what the instructions mean!

We weren't disappointed, it's been going on all evening, but, finally it is up and TM is filling it with all her paper and card and stuff.

Already she is talking about getting another one, just so she can 'Spread Out' a bit!

So, that's the reason we are late tonight!

It's getting to be a habit!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

We could get used to Wild Boar!

Hello Woofers!

It's us again! Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Have we had a day today! First of all we went out for our normal morning walk along the beach. Both ferrets wanted to get out of the bag early 'cos both had been at the diluted Lactose Free Milk and didn't have a wee before leaving home. So, as soon as Old Two Legs had cleared the car park, both ferrets were scrambling to get out of the bag!

Holly and wandered off ahead to see if there were any rabbits in the open but we were out of luck.

The ferrets, having got the taste of fresh air and damp grass and weasel sniffs, were quite happy to spend some time ferreting around in the undergrowth while Holly and I were watching the clouds descend on the river and start heading our way!

Before we knew it, the rain landed on us all, Holly and I were soaked down to our skin and the ferrets weren't any better. In fact Miss Snowflake even climbed up OTL's leg and got back in the Ferret Bag to keep out of the rain!

Mr Brambles preferred to run all the way back to the car park, stopping every so often to shake all the water off his coat!

Holly was the first back, with everyone close behind!

Back home, we all got a good rub down with our Doggy Towel, followed by another rub down after OTL had taken all his clothes off and changed into some new, dry, stuff!

After the ferrets had their run around the house and OTL had cleaned out their cage, it looked like the rain had stopped, so, Holly said that it would be a good idea to go up to The Show again!

OTL didn't need too much persuading and before we knew it, we were heading towards the Members Car Park!

We got there but had to pull over to the side to let a load of Fox Hounds go past and we both cheered as they passed. OTL thought we were barking and told us off!

Where's the Fox!
Soon we were walking through the entrance gate!

First stop was the Ferret Racing Tent to say hello and show off our new harnesses.

There was a young Two Legs having her first cuddle with a ferret,  Holly said that She wasn't going to get cuddled by anyone 'cos it was getting too hot!

First Cuddle with a Ferret!
When they saw us in our new harnesses, of course, everyone was going Ooo! and Ahhh! and Holly and I thought we were stars!

After a while we went off to see the other animals. There were some that looked like deer but OTL said they were Reindeer and Holly asked if they tasted like Bambi Burgers!

Bambi Burger?
The Daddy Reindeer got all upset and kicked his food bowl over and asked if Holly tasted like 'Hot Dog'

and do you taste like..................?
That was it, Holly said we should go before there was and trouble and a woofer resting on his bed said that they all tasted the same mixed with doggy biscuits in a Doggy Bowl!

....and they got strange sniffing poo as well!
From there we went to where the gun dogs were competing in a 'Hunt the Duck' contest. It involved the Two Legs waving their arms about and blowing on a whistle to guide the dog to the 'Duck' to pick it up and take it back to the Two Legs.

Well, the Two Legs was getting it all wrong and the Woofer was getting all confused as well. Holly and I were sitting there laughing our tails off and calling out 'It's behind You'!

It's behind you, Bozo!
Not that they listened to us 'cos they are being trained to listen to the Two Legs and that silly whistle thing!

We saw some young Two Legs trying to fly but Holly said they would never make it and she was right, they just kept on going around in circles!

Go On, Flap Harder!
We decided to have our lunch at the same place again and this time OTL was going to have some Wild Boar Sausages as well!

We passed the 'Country Pursuits' tent and there was a woofer in the cage we hadn't said hello to, so Holly asked it what it was, as you do, and Holly thought he said he was a Lurker!

Holly asked what a Lurker did, and then laughed 'cos she suddenly realised that Lurkers Lurk!

The 'Lurker' got all upset and growled that he was a Lurcher and he chased little dogs to bite their tails off!

Putting Holly Right!
Holly said that being a Lurcher couldn't be all that clever 'cos he was stuck in the cage while we were off to sample some Wild Boar, so there!

I must say, the Wild Boar tasted as good as the ones we had yesterday!

We headed back to watch the Ferret Racing and on the way we saw a woofer all dressed up for the rain. Well, both Holly and I just sat down with amazement, who on earth would dress a woofer in a coat like that, I mean, that woofer will have no 'Street Cred' for years!

Don't blame me, I can't help their dress sense!

Back at the Ferret Tent they were getting ready for the races, Roy was giving the ferrets a 'Pep Talk' and warning against cheating or foul play!

OK you lot, I want good clean racing!
Then the races began.

It's the first one fully out that wins!
Not everyone understood the rules but they all had fun and while there is always a winner, there is always a looser!

I Won! I Won!, I Won!
Now, let us introduce Stan The Ferret.

Stan has not had a very good start in life and arrived at the Harrietsham Ferret Rescue Centre with his tail missing and his back legs unable to support his back end. With a lot of care and looking after and the use of a Ferret Swimming Pool, he has now regained the use of his back legs and while nothing can be done about his missing tail, he is strong enough to join in the Ferret Races!

Meet Stan!
He is always willing to have a go at the racing and although he doesn't go as fast as some of the others, he does get a good cuddle from Chris after his race!

Coming last has it's perks!
Mind you, Stan does make sure he gets every treat he can and is always up for a lick of Ferret Oil!

Stan gets his Prize!
We thought of another game to play with the ferrets, it's called 'Grow Your Own Ferret Beard'!

Who is that on the Ferrets Head?
We had to say good bye to the Ferrets as OTL wanted to drop into the Doggy Shop on the way home to get another plastic ferret water bottle for their travelling cage. So it was Bye Bye Ferrets!

Bye bye Woofers! I really need more iron in my diet!
Back home we went straight down to the beach for a walk but the tide was on it's way out, so no 'Deep Water Swimming' today!

Well, it's cooling for me bits!
By the time we got back, The Missus had arrived from her Master Class and we had great fun telling her all about our day!

That's why we are a little late in uploading today, sorry!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.
