We Meet Another Maisey!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back with you again!

Another warm and muggy sort of day. The ferrets were up and ready for a walk at six this morning, all scrabbling about in their cage, that was until Old Two Legs went in with their breakfast.

When OTL went in they were both asleep again!

Mind you, they soon woke up when they heard the rattle of their drinking bowl 'cos that means Milk!

Ferrets are lactose intolerant so that means they get a 'Special' milk, Lactose Free! OTL pours them a drop in their bowls and then puts a large desert spoon full of hot water in with the milk. This dilutes it down and also warms up the milk!

Both ferrets just love the milk and as soon as it is down on the floor they are scrabbling at the cage door to get out and into the milk.

Even with ferrets it is 'Nose Down and Tail Up'!

Down on the beach, the tide had turned and was on it's way out. Mr Brambles found some wet sea weed and tried a Sea Weed Wrap!

Enjoying a Sea Weed Wrap!
I went splashing into the water and was soon paddling about enjoying my 'Early Morning Dip'. Holly said I looked like a Chanel Swimmer and that I should do some training!

Next it's a Cross Chanel Swim!
I'm not too sure if she really means what she says 'cos she managed to get her paws wet by pinching my stick!

She has Pinched Me Stick!
Late morning OTL had to go out to get some stuff, so, Holly and I crept into the car when he wasn't looking!

After all his jobs, we went for a walk in the forest looking for squirrels and rabbits!

Holly Creeping Through the Undergrowth!
We didn't see any rabbits but we think we saw a squirrel but it was too far away to be sure!

OTL was too busy looking at the woodland flowers and buzzy things to notice the squirrel!

Up ahead we heard a woofing going on, so we waited for OTL to arrive, then we walked behind him, and made sure it was far enough behind him to do a 'Quick Escape' if needed!

Come on OTL, there's a Big Woofer Ahead!
Off went OTL and when he stopped to talk to the owner of the woofer, we caught up to see him stroking a Schnauzer!

Would you believe it, this Schnauzer was all of one year old and of course, thought OTL was wonderful!

I'm Maisey and I'm a Schnauzer!
Holly said 'Hello' but I hung back, not too sure and even had a little grumble when Maisey tried to sniff my tail, uninvited!

I jumped onto OTL's lap and did my 'KeepAwayFromOTLYouNoisySchnauzerTypeWoofer!' Grumble and that sorted her out, she ran behind her owners legs!

You don't mess with Daisy Dog, especially when she's on OTL's lap!

Back home to a plate of chicken and a chew followed by a snooze until dinner time.

It's a hard life being OTL's Woofer!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Monday Again!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Now, just before we start, Old Two Legs has found out what that flower is in our garden, by the pond. It's called Purple Loosestrife, which is a strange name to give a plant. Since when has Strife been Loose?

We have decided we like Mondays, you see, all over the weekend there are Two Legs rushing around trying to have fun relaxing on the beach and fishing and riding around on cycles looking like they are left over from the Tour de France!

Monday, well that's different. The roads are clear, the car park is empty, cycles are parked up in cycle racks or in the shed and we have the beach all to ourselves!

Even Old Two Legs is a little less hurried!

You know what? Even the Sea looked less busy!

Calm Sea but OTL has been at the Photo shop Again!
Mr Brambles was digging holes in the sea shells again while Snowflake snoozed in the bag!

A Hole Lotta Fun!
We met up with the old Labrador and OTL had a stroke and a chat with his owner.

The woofer was worn out from his walk but as he says, I'll bet you would be as well when you get to fifteen years old!

Another hot one today girls!
We got some Ox Heart this morning and of course, it was gone in no time at all! Holly and I retired to our snoozing spots with a Teeth Cleaning Chew each and spent the morning doing what we do best!

Lunchtime we were out again and as it wasn't so hot, we decided to try some 'Rabbit Hunting' up on top of the hill.

Not for us the wild chasing around, especially as it was rather warm, instead, we did the old 'Sit and Wait'!

This is fun, Maisey doesn't know what she is missing!
While we were 'Rabbit Hunting' OTL was down on his knees trying some 'Soft Focus' 'Wide Open Aperture' shots of a Thistle.

Thistle, very narrow Depth of Field!
Now, The Missus could be called a 'Silver Surfer' and a bit of a 'Gizmo Girl'. All the latest electronic thingy whatsits.

The ferret bedding needs washing every week and it gets put in the washing machine but it tends to leave loads of ferret hair in the filter and TM is always complaining.

So, to get over this problem, she has purchased a 'Manual' washing machine that is sold as an accessory for the 'Ultimate Caravaner'

It doesn't use electricity but instead you wind a big handle thingy and slosh the clothes or ferret bedding about until it is beaten to a pulp!

I really thought that with a bit of forethought, she could have got the same effect with a couple of rocks by the side of the pond, I mean, loads of two legs do it all over the world!

See you tomorrow!

Don't forget, lights out at ten tonight for an hour.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

A Gentle Sunday Rampaging About!

Hello Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

After yesterdays fun and games it was good to have a 'Relaxing' day today. Old Two Legs was late in getting up. Maybe it had something to do with Holly demanding a 'Late Night Wee' at about Twenty to Two this morning!

She managed to wake OTL and The Missus and me and The Ferrets!

So, we were a bit late going out for our morning stroll along the sea Wall.

On the beach, Holly and I decided that what we really needed was a Big Hole!

Holly and I took turns in digging while the other was watching out for Mr Brambles!

You dig, I'll watch!
Lucky for us, Mr Brambles had decided on digging his own hole and was watching out for us in case we tried to pinch the hole!

A Hole of My Own!
Miss Snowflake was still in the ferret bag and refused to come out until OTL had got to the Rock Wall!

This beats Hole Digging any day!
Back home OTL had the job of cleaning out the ferret cage and changing all the bedding and wash out the trays.

Mr Brambles went off to have a snooze while Snowflake had a game with OTL. What she does is to chase the cloth OTL is using to wash out the cage bottom, while he is washing the tray!

She thinks it is a wonderful game and when OTL put her outside the cage, she just climbed up the outside, went through the roof door and down into the cage to chase OTL again!

Finally it was all done and that means it's 'Snoozy Time'!

Lunch time we were down the Sea Wall again but it was just too hot to get too excited about running around!

I started off with a gentle jog but it soon went into a stroll and a sniff!

A Small Jog but that's your lot!
Holly pretended to be all full of life and energy but like me, decided it was just too hot.

I'm a Super Fast Jogging Woofer!
We were pleased that there was a breeze but the sun was still very hot, in fact too hot!

Back home the ferrets were still fast asleep in their beds, you know, those ferrets must sleep about twenty hours a day!

Amazing!

We're off now to see what we can mug, Doggy Scoff is what TM has put out for us, YUK!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

And Who's Been Eating My Dinner?

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here on a Sunny Saturday!

We were up good and early 'cos The Missus is out at her 'Master Class' today. So we have to take all her stuff up to the village hall.

We met that Doodle Dog again and this time we found out his name is Buddy. He is still fascinated by the ferrets and wanted to get up good and close for a sniff and a lick!

Holly said he was brave to do that, I said he was stupid 'cos I've seen what Brambles has done to Two Legs who have stuck their fingers in his face!

Buddy was lucky and they both had a sniff of each others nose!

Sniffs, but no Teeth!
Back home we had our visitor turn up, Maisey, the West Highland Terrier! She had come to stay with us for today while her owner was playing 'Glue & Glitter' at TM's Master Class!

We started off with her inspecting our garden and we had to point out that the pond was wet and deep! She said she wasn't one for swimming anyway but thanks for the tip!

We all went out for a walk along the Sea Wall and the beach. We showed her where all the best sniffs were and a few of our 'Secret Sniffs'!

Hey, this is a seriously good sniff!
Then we introduced her to some of the lads.

Nice to meet you Maisey!
Down on the beach Maisey was let off the lead for a run 'cos she couldn't get into too much trouble there, except when she wanted to have a paddle in the mud!

Just a little paddle in the mud?
I didn't ask, I just went straight in and flopped onto the wet mud, that got me a hose down when we got home!

Daisy's in the mud, Pleeese let me have a go?
Maisey should have kept quiet about the mud 'cos OTL scolded me and then clipped Maisey back on the lead, she'll learn in time!

Holly introduced her to a new sniff and didn't tell her is was Ferret Poo!

Now this is a strange sniff, what is it?
Holly and I were both having a laugh behind her tail and when we told her she joined in the joke as well!

We came off the beach and played 'Puppy Patrol' up the hill to the Rabbit Ground.

Left, Right, Left, Right, Puppy Patrol!
Maisey says that she hadn't done much rabbit chasing and how do we do it? When we told her how we sit and wait. Then we showed her how and she stood there looking but didn't see any rabbits at all!

Pretty Boring Game this Rabbit Chasing!
She did find a feather on the path and after discussions with OTL, we decided it was from a Sparrowhawk!

Sparrowhawk breast feather.
Back home, I got washed with the hose and Maisey got her nose into Holly's chicken dinner. Holly didn't mind 'cos when she finally got to eat what was left, she also had a go at what I had left, so every one was happy in the end!

We had to say Bye, Bye, to Maisey but it has been fun having her over.

OTL says that we may get Archie Babe next, if we are good girls!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

We meet a New Doodle Dog!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back with you again!

It's 'Official', Old Two Legs is in his twenty first year of trading, he is having a celebration treat today, he will finish work early today, five thirty, instead of six thirty!

He does live in the 'Fast Lane' sometimes!

We met up with a new doggy today, he is only twelve weeks old and already he is bigger than Holly or me!

We forgot to ask his name but he is a 'Doodle Dog', half Poodle and half Labrador! Holly asked if that made him a BozoDoodle?

That Holly can be such a Wag at times!

I'm a Labradoodle!
He was jumping about in a playful way 'cos Mr Brambles was scurrying about at the bottom of the Sea Wall, Miss Snowflake had done a 'Sneaky' and got back into the ferret bag without OTL seeing!

Can't See Me!
When she stuck her nose out the Doodle Dog asked if she tasted like Chicken! So, he can't be so much of a Bozo!

Mind you, being so young he was trying to impress us with some tricks, 'Hey' he said 'Look, I can Lick My Nose'!

I've been practising this trick!
Finally, off he went and we got down to some serious fun! The ferrets went off in search of 'Something Wet and Slimy' in the sea weed. Holly and I got into digging holes in the sand and were woofing so much that it got the attention of Miss Snowflake!

OK, What Are They Up To?
It didn't take long before they left the sea weed and arrived at our hole. Mr Brambles dived straight in and had a quick dig while Snowflake stood guard to keep us away!

Go on then, dig some more, I've got them Woofers under control!
Back home, we got a big bowl of Ox Heart for breakfast and both Holly and I were 'Tails Up and Nose Down' until it had all gone!

Super!

Then it was off to bed for a snooze to let it all 'Go Down'!

Lunchtime we were off again but this time there were some deliveries to do and afterwards we found ourselves at the Riverside Park!

Pity the tide wasn't in, I could have had a swim, instead there was only mud and OTL kept me out of that!

Mind you, there were some dogs that managed a paddle!

This little six month old woofer was all full of it and was dashing about all over the place. She ran up to OTL and planted her muddy paws on his leg and said........

Guess Where I've Been!
Then she ran over to me to say hello but the only thing I could think of was ........We've got two ferrets who are bigger than you!

Wot are Ferrets?
It was all rather hot and Holly was plodding along the path and every so often we all had to stop for a rest on the seats and as Holly said.......'It's just Too Hot to Chase Rabbits!'

Too Hot!
We were glad to be back home again and soon had found a cool spot to snooze the rest of the afternoon away!

Now, OTL put the 'Garden Cam' out yesterday and hasn't taken it in yet. The Missus spotted it and came stomping up to his office.

'Is that Camera Thing switched on?'

'Yes'

'Well I don't want any video of me on Daisy's blog'!

'Why?'

'Cos this morning it was too hot and I went for a walk around the garden, before I got dressed!'

'Well, that will scare the cats away!'

And that's why he has the black eye!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

She's Back!

Hi Ho Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

We were up good and early this morning 'cos there was loads of washing up to be done and the poor dishwasher has been working overtime!

You see, we had a game, we were trying to use every plate and cup and bowl to eat and drink off and use a new one every time. OTL was having fun seeing how high he could pile the plates!

Well, as The Missus is arriving back today, we don't think she would be amused with our little game, so, the dishwasher is hard at work!

Still, there are piles of nice clean crockery in the cupboard now!

Down on the beach Holly and I had a great time dashing up and down the beach and going ever so slightly potty!

Me Going Potty!
Holly and I decided that we needed a big hole in the sand 'cos Holly had found an old ball and we decided we should dig a big hole and leave it at the bottom!

Of course, Mr 'Nosy' Brambles saw us digging and wanted to join in the fun!

What you doing Girls?
We didn't take any notice of him but he stayed there sniffing!

I had to tell him.......

Woof Off and find your Own Hole!
Now, our walks in the morning normally last for about an hour, unless it's raining! You would have thought that all that time and running and chasing about would have tired the ferrets out, not our two, as soon as OTL gets on with cleaning the cage, these two go on a 'Rampage'!

Today it is 'Who is The Boss' and even if it looks like Mr Brambles is winning, he isn't!

You know it takes another half an hour of fighting and chasing and hiding to finally wear these two out and as soon as OTL puts them back in the cage, they crash out until this evening!

Of course, when TM drove down the road, we were waiting at the window and went just ever so slightly POTTY!

We gave her a big 'Welcome Home Woof And a Lick'! Then we followed her around while she unpacked, just in case she had brought us any presents!

She hadn't!

Holly gave her the 'We're Starving' look and she opened up a tin of Doggy Scoff!

We have had a week of Gourmet Dinners, cooked to perfection by OTL. Home comes TM and it's all 'Back To Normal'..............Doggy Scoff!

That is the last lick on the nose she's getting today!

See you tomorrow, providing we don't die of hunger!

Luv,

Daisy (The Starving), Holly (The Hungry), Miss Snowflake (OTL feeds us!) and Mr (My Tum is Always Full) Brambles!

It's Clear Up Day Today!

Hi Ho Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here.

Well, today is the last day of our 'Holiday'. Tomorrow The Missus is returning from 'Up North' after her Baby Sitting Duties, which, we understand, the 'Babies' were either in bed or out with their mates!

Today, Old Two Legs has been running around with the vacuum cleaner and we have been searching out all the carrot ends we have left under the sofa and down the backs of the chairs!

The ferrets have been pointing out where they have left their 'Marker Poos' in TM's craft room!

OTL has been out with the Garden Cam again and caught us out for our late night 'Woof an'a Wee'!

Mind you, he also caught us doing our early morning 'Puppy Patrol' of the garden, just to clear off any stray cat that has over slept!

It was good and sunny as we set off for our walk this morning and OTL spotted a Green Bug Thing on our front door. So he just had to take a picture!

A Green Bug Thing!
Down on the beach Mr Brambles was showing off by running up the side of the Wall of Death, that was, until he fell off.

Holly said it should be called The Wall of Falling Off!

Not falling off just yet!
When we got back, the Bozo Green Thing was still on the door, so OTL got a plastic box and captured the Bug so he could take some photos!

A Speckled Bush Cricket!
Looking in the book we were able to identify it. Not a rare find but an absolute pain to photograph.

You see, crickets jump and every time OTL got the bug out of the box it jumped up in the air to get away from the monster with the One Eye and the nasty flashing thingy! So, instead of getting a 'Side On' shot, we had to make do with it hanging on a bit of card that OTL uses as a wall to stop the bugs from escaping in the office!

TM would not be too happy about bugs crawling all over the house after escaping from OTL's Bug Studio!

Now, we just loved the bit about Archie Babe bringing home a frog and wanting to keep it as a pet, we asked OTL if we could keep the cricket as a pet but he said no!

Holly, however, has had a brilliant idea, when Archie Babe visits, maybe he could bring his Frog Mate with him and it could live in our pond and we could send Archie video's of him splashing about on the Lily Leaves!

Lunchtime we ended up in The Forest 'cos OTL had to take a parcel to the carriers and a walk under the shade of the trees while looking for squirrels and Heeland Coos, well, what could be better!

I see No Coo's!
Tonight we are having chicken for dinner and OTL will cook it just how we like it, all warm and greasy!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

It's all happening here!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

As we are getting closer to the end of the month, Old Two Legs work rate has gone up and he looks like having everything sorted in time!

It's all to do with something called 'Year End' and the need to get all invoices paid and sorted before the thirty first. When August the first arrives OTL will be starting his twenty first year of trading!

Twenty one! I bet he wishes he was twenty one again!

For a laugh, OTL set up the 'Garden Cam' on the landing and was planning to catch the ferrets running about in the morning. Well, it sort of worked!

Here's one of OTL and Miss Snowflake playing, 'Chase The Ball'

She really has a thing about the squeaky balls, so much so that we always have a good laugh watching her!

When she got fed up chasing the ball and Mr Brambles, she started playing 'Chase the Echo'

I can hear an Echo, Echo, Echo,Echo!
It was cloudy this morning when we went out for our walk, but it didn't stop OTL from snapping a Meadow Brown that was trying to hide amongst the flowers!

I can see you too!
Lunchtime was much better, there were Two Legs playing on the beach with their fishing rods!

Caught anything yet Bozo?
We met up with a new woofer on the Sea Wall but he was a bit of a Bozo 'cos his owners had told him they were 'In France' on a day trip and he believed them! He was trying to speak French by talking English with a terrible French accent!

Bonjour Off Bozo!
The tide was in, so OTL found a stick and was throwing it for me. Holly, wanting the stick but not wanting to get her feet wet, was sitting on the beach watching.

'Hey' she says, 'Just watch me get that stick'!

OK, Just watch this!
I came splashing back from a big, long swim, when she rushed forward and tried to grab the stick!

I wasn't having any of that and I splashed her with my front paws, that made her let go! I know she hates water!

GerrOff, you Bozo!
Tonight we have got some Ox Heart for dinner, so we are both looking forward to that!

Just in case you thought we had left Mr Brambles out, here he is!

 Mr Brambles 'On a Mission'!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Back to Work Again!

Hello Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Just for a change it was Thunder and Lightening last night, not that much rain fell on us, but it did help to fill the pond up a little!

When we went for our morning walk it was raining little spots and drips, so Old Two Legs, (a little drip in his own right), decided to leave the camera in the car, so no photos of Oscar eyeballing the ferrets!

Miss Snowflake did her normal trick and didn't get out of the ferret bag until we got off the beach!

Back home it was all go, go, go for OTL. Bits of paper and VAT returns and other boring stuff!

We had a look at the video from the Garden Cam and saw that we had caught the Scottish Wild Cat again as it walked past the pond!

The other film bits were of moths flying past the lens at speeds so fast you couldn't identify them!

Lunch time it had stopped raining, but we didn't like the look of the sky but decided that a quick run along the Sea Wall would be the best idea!

We could see the rain storm coming at us from over Essex way!

Here comes The Wet!
Of course, being 'Summer' and sort of 'Holiday Time' there just had to be some Bozo's on the beach fishing!

Now, if she had looked over her shoulder instead of making sure Holly didn't pinch any of her sarnies, she maybe would have been packing up the picnic!

No Sarnies, No Strokes and have you seen that lot?
I went down to the waters edge and decided it was just a little too rough for me to go swimming, even OTL agreed and told me not to go in!

Too Rough for Little Dogs!
Further along we felt the rain spots start and looking out to sea there was this big menacing looking cloud that must have contained tons and tons of water and was heading our way!

I'm Coming To Get You!
We headed back to the car as quickly as possible and it was only OTL being so slow that let the rain drops start on us!

So, back home again and off for a snooze on the sofa!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.
