It's a Windy Wet Day and it's still August!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, The Wet Bunch, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Wot a day! It started off on our morning walk. It was overcast and a bit of cloud but when we got to the beach it started, rain spots, getting bigger all the time!

Miss Snowflake was the first to get a rain drop on the nose, but as soon as it landed, she was off at a trot towards the car!

Come on, Home, the rain is coming!

 Mr Brambles felt the next drop and was off like a rocket!

Back home we enjoyed some Doggy Scoff! Well, we didn't really enjoy it, but as there was nothing else on offer and being starving we just had to hold our nose and swallow!

Lunchtime Old Two Legs got our rain coats out and we were amazed at how 'Weather Beaten' they looked!

We reckon that we will have to save up our pocket money to get some new coats before winter sets in!

When we got down to the beach it was 'Horizontal Rain' coming in off the sea, plus the high tide as well made it look like winter!

Big waves and an 'On Shore' wind!

It looked pretty scary to me and I must say that when OTL told me to stay away from the water I did sort of agree with him!

No swimming today!

Holly was complaining about the water getting blown into her ears and spent most of the time shaking her head and wiggling her tail to get the water off her!

This is not funny!

When we got up to 'The Point' as OTL calls it, both Holly and I decided that the waves were getting too big and we were heading for home, PDQ!

Getting Bigger and Wetter!

We got to the first turn off and did a sharp right hand turn and legged it up the path towards the car park!

I've had enough today!

When we got to the top of the path we spotted a Spaniel type huddled down on the path, 'Wet 'n' Windy Innit' he said and we both agreed with him. Then he was off 'cos his owner was calling him!

This is really just too wet for doggies!

Back in the car, OTL gave us a rub down and then it was off home for another rub down with a warm towel that The Missus had been hanging up in the airing cupboard.

A Damp Doggy!

With a bit of luck we will be able to mug some food tonight from OTL, especially as it was his idea to go out walkies!

Wot a Horrid Day!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

Today is not the best day we have had this year!

It was raining when we went out this morning, (Old Two Legs is still limping from his collision with the unit!) We had turn the ferret bag upside down to get the ferrets out and even then they were hanging on with all of their claws!

No photo's 'cos there was too much rain!

Back home to some chicken and a snooze while OTL went out to get a new phone, his old one is so old that it is falling to bits!

He got back about two thirty and we were straight out again.

It was still raining, in fact it was wetter than this morning!

Back home and we were both very Damp Doggies!

OTL was very damp as well, in fact he was soaking!

So, sorry no photo's from this afternoon!

We will try to get a load together for you tomorrow, promise!

Star Gazing, Brrrm, Brrrm, followed by Ox Heart!

Hi Woofers!

A Super Sunday here in North Kent, a really lazy time for Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

I needed a wee during the night and had to wake Old Two Legs with my normal whine! He did his 'Bounce Off The Walls' walk down stairs but forgot he had moved the large cabinet containing the music-centre away from the hole in the ceiling to the safety of the front of the house, at the bottom of the stairs.

Now, OTL doesn't turn on the lights 'cos it wakes him up too much and he has trouble going back to sleep, so, bouncy bouncy down the stairs, turn right, bounce into sharp corner of the unit, utter blessing on all sharp wooded corners!

Mind you, it wasn't all pain and suffering 'cos while we were having a wee, OTL was looking at the stars 'cos it was a cool crisp clear sky. He was looking up, as he does, from the kitchen door when he spotted a cluster of stars he had not noticed before. Just below the Pleiades Cluster. We are not sure if he has found a new star cluster or he was seeing stars from colliding with the unit!

Back to bed and a a comfortable sleep until morning!

OTL has a big bruise on his leg this morning!

OTL is not happy!

OTL says we have got to learn how to use the loo!

Late morning we all sat down the watch the F1 Racing but as it got close to the start, Holly and I decided we would rather go down the beach again and do some 'Rabbit Hunting', (Much Safer Than Cat Hunting, tell Archie Babe!)

So off we went!

OTL was not happy that he may miss the beginning and we did our wee's as quickly as possible!

But then I got sort of 'Distracted', the tide was in and I was splashing about in the water before OTL had got down to the beach!

Of course, OTL got the Red Bone out and I had a great time splashing around and at one time it was a bit further out than normal and I had to have two goes at getting it but I still kept my periscope up!

Periscope Up Again!

 If I timed it correctly, as I got close to the shore, the last wave would throw me onto the beach, which was good fun!

Daisy Has Landed!

Holly Dog didn't get anywhere near the water, in fact, she sat right up the top of the Sea Wall and refused to even sit on the beach in case she got wet, when I shook myself to get rid of the water off my back!

No thanks, I'll stay here Thank you!

Back home I finished off the Ox Heart while OTL watched the racing. I went up stairs and crashed out under the desk and Holly climbed up on OTL's chair for a cuddle and a snooze!

Now, Archie Babe, what are you doing getting beaten up by a cat! Was it a BIG CAT? Are you sure it wasn't one of those escaped Mountain Lions? Or maybe it is a Jaguar with spots and stripes?

We don't believe it was a common or garden back yard pussy!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again!

It has been a lazy Saturday for us, loads of snoozing, walks, snoozing and visiting Old Two Legs in his office and having a snooze under the desk!

We were out early this morning and the sun was low in the sky, well, lower than normal, so, OTL, being all 'Artistic' took a picture into the sun, (technically wrong) and then did some fancy stuff with the 'Levels' and the 'Curves' and came up with this.......................we can't make up our minds about this one!

Morning!

 We met up with 'The Lads' and Mr Brambles was asked.......

Do you taste like Chicken?

Mr Brambles licked his lips, showed his teeth and answered with the question...........'Do You?'

Nuff said!

Back home to breakfast of Doggy Scoff but we were so hungry we chewed our way through half a bowl before rushing off to see if OTL had any biscuits with his tea!

Lunchtime we were back on the beach and the tide was right in! I fancied going straight in for a swim but the fishermen said I might scare all the fish away, so I had to go to the next breakwater for my splash about!

How can I scare the fish away? There's no fish here!

I didn't argue with them and raced off to the next bit of the beach where I could have a good splash about without getting the fishermen all upset!

Look! I Got a Red Fish!

I thought it would be funny if I pretended that I had caught a Red Fish but OTL said they may not see the joke!

Then it all sort of came over cloudy and threatening rain, so it was back to the car for a rub down with one of our towels and back home to watch the F1 Qualifying!

The Rabbits Are Getting Too Cheeky!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

This morning it was a little colder than it has been of late. A sure sign that Autumn is on it's way and it will be Raincoats and Muddy Paws soon!

I'm not sure about the ferrets, I think they will be having a morning walk in the Ferret Bag, only getting out for a wee and a poo!

OK, where's the bag?

We didn't meet any of the lads we normally meet but we were out a bit earlier 'cos we got visitors today!

We got to the end of the walk and Old Two Legs had got our leads back on, then, just as we headed for the car, from behind a bramble bush we heard............

I'm a Speedy Rabbit and you can't catch me!

 That is one rabbit who we have marked down for a 'Talking To'!

 Back home we had our breakfast and a snooze while OTL sorts the ferrets out.

He has to clean the cage out and change their water bottles and empty the poo trays. Mr Brambles and Miss Snowflake just loves a 'Rampage' around the office and bedrooms and the loo! They chase each other from room to room and climb all over the shelves in The Missus's card room!

Then there is the 'Sneaky Stuff', that is climbing in the drawer and creeping down the back and kick the drawer above open!

Then they go hunting 'Nibbles' that is the Ferret Nibbles that help stop Hair Balls, well, so the instructions say! Mind you, they do taste good and they are also crunchy and taste of malt paste!

OTL let's me have one or two every so often!

Mr Brambles is always interested in food and when he found out where the Ferretone was stored, that became his 'Target Place' at the end of the 'Rampage'!

Just a quick lick!

 Lunchtime we were out a bit later 'cos the man from the insurance assessors had visited to make out his report. A very nice man but we have to wait for the insurance company to agree the report. Claws crossed!

Down the beach again for some fun and games! OTL spotted a Daisy Type of flower that had big flower and to the side a very small version of the big flower!

Well, it kept him out of the way for a while!

Holly and I had a good game of 'First to Blink', we stood there and glared at each other for ages, then, Holly blinked!

Who is going to be first to blink!

We were off!

I was ahead of Holly and running circles around her, she just couldn't keep up with a Super Fast Slim Speed Machine like me!

Can't catch me!

After a while we slowed down for some sniffing. Holly was moaning that I had cheated but I said that she couldn't run with all her weight!

We can't all be a 'Bag of Bones' like you!

So, we are still discussing speed verses weight and Holly says she is more cuddly than me!

Thursday? No, it's Shrewsday Today!

Hi Ho Woofers!

It's the Motley Crew back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Well, Old Two Legs calls us Motley 'cos we don't do what he wants us to, like, 'Come Here or Sit or Don't Roll in That' or even ' Don't Eat That'!

We were up good and early this morning and even had to wake the ferrets up! The sun was shining and there was a balmy breeze blowing, just right for chasing rabbits and investigating sniffs!

On our way down to the beach, the ferrets decided they wanted to get out of the ferret bag for a 'Sniff and a Wee', as they do!

So we took the opportunity to have a sniff while they had a wee.

Mr Brambles was finished first and was soon helping us out with a sniff.

I can hear snuffling as well!

We had the sniff but Mr Brambles said he could hear snuffling, just like a mouse or something that size.

We carried on and pretty soon Holly had flushed out a Shrew!

OTL made Holly put it down and we took it over to the sea wall where OTL managed to get a couple of shots of it before it ran back to the grass!

That was Scary!

Mr Brambles asked if he could go and play 'Chase' with the shrew and Miss Snowflake asked if it tasted like chicken!

OTL told us all that we had to leave it alone so it could go home and have a sit down and a cup of tea after being scared like that!

Holly reckoned that it could have tasted like chicken but there wasn't enough meat on it to get a decent taste!

Back home we were still discussing the shrew 'cos The Missus hadn't thawed out our Ox Heart yet and we were starving!

Lunchtime we were back down the sea wall again and Holly and I did some 'Sneaky Creeping' around the bramble bushes looking for rabbits but they had all gone out shopping down in Rochester Market.

Holly was wondering if they sold Ox Heart down the market and OTL told us about the markets in Tooting where they used to sell horse meat off the stall. Holly said that as hungry as she may be, she couldn't eat a whole horse, well, not in one sitting!

She is such a Wag!

We went back and the shrew had disappeared, so he had either been eaten by the Kestrel that is always hovering about or it had returned to the long grass to join his mates!

No Shrews here!

Back home OTL has been busy with his bits of paperwork and stuff, so we haven't seen much of him!

I spent the afternoon snoozing under the office desk and Holly has been down stairs watching TV.

The Missus just loves those soppy cooking programs and of course, if there's food, there's Holly!

OK, we are busy busy tomorrow 'cos the Insurance Assessor Man is coming to look at the hole in the ceiling.

So it looks like an early night 'cos it's going to be an early morning!

Miss Snowflake meets Dragonfly!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

It was a super sunny morning today and we had a great time on the beach. Holly and I started off by playing 'Chase' up and down the beach.

The Chase Game!

Old Two Legs said that I couldn't go in swimming 'cos he didn't want a 'Soggy Doggy' in the big car. The Missus had taken the small car and was off doing a 'Master Class' at one of the local Craft Shops in Maidstone.

Go On! I dare you!

Mind you, I did manage a quick paddle and Holly kept of trying to get me to swim out a bit but I said that I would, providing she was ahead of me!

Mr Brambles had fun running along the beach close to the waves but didn't go in the water, he said it was 'Too Wet'!

That's wet out there!

We met up with The Lads on their walk along the Sea Wall. Poor old Oscar was looking out for the ferrets but OTL had them in the Ferret Bag. Oscar could sniff them but couldn't see them!

It drove him potty trying to work out where his breakfast was!

I can sniff ferret but can't see them!

On the way back to the car, Miss Snowflake was scared by a bird screeching. Miss Snowflake went into 'Frozen Mode' where she stops still and looks to the sky watching out for danger. Well, the bird, a sea gull, had long time disappeared over the hill and Snowflake was still looking up in the sky.

While she was looking, and remaining very still, a 'Red Darter' dragonfly landed on her back thinking she was some sort of food!

That scared her almost as much as the bird and it took OTL some time to get her to climb up onto his arm for a cuddle!

Mind you, it wasn't long before she was scrabbling to get down onto the ground again!

Wossat on My Butt?

 I must admit, I did come along to have a look but by the time I got there, the Dragonfly had flown off again!

Lunchtime was fun as well 'cos we went out for a ride into town to do a delivery and then down to the beach again.

OK, where's my eyes?

 The best bit was where Holly went up to some Two Legs and said that she was all lost and very hungry and did they have any food she could have?

Got any food Mister?

 I told her she was very cheeky doing that but she said they didn't have any food so she didn't hang around!

Back home we went to wait for TM to return and Holly says that she will be covered in Glitter and with bits of paper glued to her nose!

A Room with a View?

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back with you again!

Another fun day here in North Kent, a bit of sunshine and Old Two Legs is seeing the funny side!

No more of the ceiling had fallen down last night, so that was good news. Standing there looking at the void, OTL said that we must have to only bathroom where you could sit on the loo, watch TV in the lounge and have a discussion with whoever was in the lounge, all at the same time!

Can you turn to the News please?

Down on the beach, the tide was in but OTL wouldn't let me go in swimming, seems like he had a lot to do today!

Come on, Just a Little Paddle?

 Mr Brambles was winding OTL up a bit 'cos he said he had found a 'SSS' and he was doing a 'Doggy Roll' in it!

This how you do a 'Doggy Roll'!

 OTL was not happy about that until he spotted it was just some sea weed!

OTL told me to 'Stand Still and Pose' but I told him, No Swim, No Posing!

Just for a laugh, Holly was showing Mr Brambles some 'Doggy Sniffs' on the beach and telling him to 'Have A Roll'!

Go On Lad, Get Stuck In!

 Miss Snowflake said that she could find some interesting sniffs on her own, and proceeded to roll an old plastic bottle around on the sand, that was until OTL told her she wouldn't get and 'Ferret Treats' if she got too smelly!

Strange Sniff this one!

That was it, she left the bottle and headed back to the car!

Lunchtime, OTL had finished discussions with the insurance company and we are awaiting the visit of an 'Assessor' who is to decide on what is 'claimable'.

OTL says that they should knock the house down and build a new one for him but we think he has no chance of that!

We went to the beach again but the clouds chased us and it started to rain, so, back to the car in double quick time!

Here come the rain!

Tonight, OTL is going to get a Chinese Take-Away Meal and dig out a bottle of Bubbly 'cos yesterday was their twenty seventh wedding anniversary and what with the leaky pipe and all that, they didn't feel like celebrating!

Today is different, so, Holly and I have put our order in for some Kling Plawns in Batter and a big bag of Plawn Clackers, just for us!

We will leave the Bubbly to them but the Plawn Clacker are ours!

OTL is Still Not Happy!

Hi Woofers!

Us again! Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

OTL is still not in a 'Good Mood' 'cos the repair men sent by the insurance company didn't turn up yesterday. When OTL telephoned them this morning he was asked if he had cancelled the call out. As OTL said, 'I've got water pouring through my ceiling, why the 'ell would I cancel the call out!'


He then got a call from the people who arrange visits and promised that someone would be down by one thirty!

Feeling safe we went off for a walk with the ferrets!

OK! Let's Hunt Rabbit!

We got around the corner and there was not a rabbit is sight! Holly reckons they had been scarred off by another woofer who was just ahead of us, not that I could see any woofers ahead of us at all!

OTL got all 'artistic' about the sea and the sky and the tug that was sitting out on the water waiting for a job!

Just Hanging around for a job!

Mr brambles was down on the beach an scampering around digging holes all over the place.

Miss Snowflake just sat there and kept asking if she could get back into the bag!

Can I get back in yet, it's too cold out here?

 Holly and I got off the beach and were hanging around while the ferrets were having a sniff, when, around the corner came a couple of terrier type woofers!

'Hello' we said, 'Where did you come from?'

'We've been chasing Loads of Rabbits' the boss dog said. Now Holly and I knew who had chased the rabbits off!

We've been chasing rabbits!

Having solved the puzzle of the missing rabbits we headed off for home and our breakfast.

We got in and OTL went looking for the plumber.

 Yep, you guessed it, no plumbing engineer!

Not too disappointed, OTL went off to the office while Holly and I got stuck into our chicken!

About twelve fifteen, I gave OTL's seat a bash to show him I wanted to go out for another walk and as the plumber had an hour and a quarter before he was late, OTL agreed we could go!

The tide was out, so no swimming but we did see the trail from a Wormy Man!

We counted him out and we counted him back again!

 Holly and I were discussing what we could do to make OTL a bit happier, she suggested that she would train as a Heating and Plumbing Engineer, so she could help OTL if he got any more leaks.
 

I could be a Plumber!

 I thought that was a good idea, then I had a thought, I could collect the insurance money!

Yeah! OTL loves keeping money!

Back home we went and you know what we found?

Nothing, no phone calls, no plumber!

Back on the phone to the people who are getting the plumber to us. Seems like he got held up at the last job!

Five past three, OTL gets a call from the plumber man, he is on his way!

OTL is a little happier!

After that it was all downhill!

The plumber and OTL got to work, the floor was taken up and the ceiling fell down!

It looks like it has been slowly leaking for some time 'cos the ceiling was rotten black and we think it was only the paint holding it all together!

It has been, 'One of those days!'

Not the Best Sunday!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

Wot A Day!

It was all blustery when we went out this morning and Old Two Legs left the camera in the car, just in case it started to rain, which it did, but not for too long!

Holly found some SSS, (Super Smelly Sh*&) and had a roll, a really good roll that sort of went all over her from head to tail!

OTL was not happy!

Then just as he was finishing his morning jobs,The Missus pointed out a damp patch on the lounge ceiling, just under where the heated towel rail is!

OTL does his 'Turn Everything Off' then gets onto the insurance people who say a man will be around today to 'Have a Look'

So, we have no heating (No problem), no hot water, (a Pain but not the end of the world) and a wet and soggy ceiling (possibly problematic)!

Then, when we went out for our lunchtime walk, it poured down, (the rain, not the water in the house)!

So, OTL is still not a happy OTL, the insurance recommended repair man has still not arrived and we have no photo's to show you!

I think it would be a good idea if we went back for our snooze until it all clears up or goes away!
