Is That The Sun We See?

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

You know, when Old Two Legs gets going with his camera, it is amazing just how many shots he takes. Look at today, it was sunny this morning, chilly but sunny. Lunchtime we were down the forest looking for fungi and in all he took one hundred and seventy shots!

OTL says that is the wonder of digital 'cos in the OLD DAYS, which he knows all about, he used to take photographs on a film camera with twenty four or thirty six shots per roll of film and he would only look at taking just one shot of each subject, unlike today, he was taking four or five shots of the same thing but at different angles, depending on the sun etc.

Also, digital doesn't cost you anything where as film cost money to get processed and then printed onto paper!

Lucky OTL, photography has gone down in price!

This morning we were down on the beach and the first photo he took of Holly and me, I had the choice of ten pictures to put on the blog!

This is the one I chose!

On the beach Miss Snowflake headed for her favourite rock and didn't say anything about the paper!

That's better!

Mind you, after she has finished, there is just one thing on her mind............

Back to the Bag!

OTL emptied her out when he got to the Sea Wall and took this photo. Now, you have just got to work out if she is 'Going Down' a step or 'Climbing up Backwards' or even 'Going up Forwards'!

Answers on a Ten Pound Note please!

OTL spent most of the morning on the computer and making stuff that he had to get down to the carrier. Now, going to the carrier means we get to go to The Forrest!

Holly and I were looking for squirrels and OTL was looking for Fungi!

First Fungi 10" diameter!

This was a 'Huge Fungi' that we almost fell over! We were keeping our eyes open for some of those Fly Things, you know, the ones with red caps with white spots and fairies sit on them!

I see no Fairies, just OTL!

The whole forest was full of fungi, loads of it we had seen before, like the puff balls and little parasol type but we did see these again  and they looked prettier than last time!

Talk about climbing up a trunk, Holly was doing her best to spot squirrels and fungi, so to make sure she got a good view, she spent a lot of time climbing up trees!

No Squirrels but I see a Fungi!

This one she found was a sort of Faded Purple Rose colour which we hadn't seen before, so that was another first for OTL!

Talking of firsts, OTL has only ever come up with a Stag Horn Fungi on a field trip he took last year and the fungi was a very rich yellow and dark orange colour. You should have seen him getting excited about finding a White Stag Horn Fungi in our woods!

While OTL was celebrating his good luck, there was a mighty crashing in the forest and this Bozo came rushing up to us with a tree trunk in his mouth. He put it at OTL's feet and woofed at him to 'Throw The Stick'!

OK, now we know that OTL will always join in the fun but we reckon that if he threw it, the Bozo would get to it before it landed and might get a whack on the head for his trouble!

You know, there are Bozo's and there are 'Right Bozo's' and we reckon this was a Right Bozo!

Coming to the end of our walk OTL hid from the sun behind a tree and took this photo, not bad, but he has taken better!

 Before we got to the last gate, there it was, in amongst the fallen tree trunks, a super fine bunch of fungi.

Holly said it was just as good as the first one we saw when we came in, except it was a different type of fungi and it had a buttery colour as well!

Back home OTL headed for the computer and typed in 'Lined Wellington Boots'!

He has finally got fed up with walking through muddy puddles in his boots and now will be striding along in his 'Farmer Wellies', when they arrive!

We just hope he doesn't try walking through puddles that turn out to be small ponds that are deeper than his wellies!

Soggy Sunday!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

Well, Wot a Day!

It started this morning when The Missus got up really early to get all her stuff together for a day of demonstrating more of her techniques!

We set off with Old Two Legs for our morning walk and this time we went in the Big Car 'cos TM pinched the Little Car!

Nice bouncy seats, no rattles and if we want, heated seats!

We got to the car park and it was pouring down, well enough rain was coming down to convince OTL to leave his camera and his hat in the car!

The ferrets were OK 'cos they were in the Ferret Bag, all dry and warm! Holly and I jogged along with our rain coats on mumbling about our wet noses!

The ferrets were emptied out of the bag and I've never seen them both do their stuff and head back to the bag so quickly!

Back home it was 'Cleaning Day' so OTL was busy with the vacuum cleaner all around Snowy Heights. Mr Brambles was right put out 'cos OTL wouldn't let him back into his sleeping bag until the whole thing had been cleaned!

Then we all enjoyed a snooze while OTL went back to the video editing!

Come lunchtime we were back out down the Sea Wall and guess what?

Yep! Still raining!

In fact it was a case of a 'Quick wee and Back to the Car'!

The rest of the afternoon was spent watching F1 Racing and Lewis winning the championship!

So, sorry about the photos or lack of them and also the laptop went into 'Wobble Mode' and is presently going through 'Repairs' before OTL can get to the video's again!

Poor Lad, he is not having the best of it at the moment!

OTL has got a Head Ache!

Hi Woofers!

Us back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Well, today has been 'Interesting'!

First of all, thanks to Sue who sent a couple of pages of 'Doggy Recipes'!

There was Apple & Cheese Treats, we just love Gorgonzola Cheese!

Then there is Chilly Con Carne with Kidney Beans, Holly had some of Old Two Legs Chilly one time and suffered with terrible wind. No, to be correct, we all suffered from Holly who had the 'Windies'!

We have given the recipes to The Missus to try out on OTL first!

 Down on the beach today Miss Snowflake managed to find a place that she considered was 'Private' enough!

Where's the paper?

 Mr Brambles kept following us around the beach trying out our sniffs!

Wotcha Got Girls?

I must say, the weather was all sort of grey looking and we spotted a Wormy Man out on the mud, Holly says that it must be a very lonely job!

Back home we watched a bit of F1 on the TV then OTL went off to do some 'Editing' of the videos for TM.

It was not a good day for OTL, 'cos the camera saves the film as a .pvbve file which is peculiar to the Canon Camcorder and of course, Yoo Toob accepts .wmv files. So trying to get them converted from one to the other is causing him some problems!

The editing program he got with the camera is not very OTL friendly so OTL has been spending some time 'Talking' to the  Program and The Computer and The Screen and The Keyboard!

He was trying to up load at one time using TM's account on Google and he got blocked from Google at one point which didn't improve his temper and only increased his word count!

Poor OTL, you know we had to take him out for an early afternoon walk 'cos he was too late for the lunchtime walk!

Down on the beach he played tricks on Holly and me by hiding behind the break water!

OK, where has he gone?

Then he would poke his head around the corner and say 'Boo!'

A big Bozo woofer came along the Sea Wall while we were playing 'Chase' along the beach and said that we making too much noise!

I said that if he came down onto the beach we would 'Sort Him Out!'

Yeah, come down here and say that Bozo Chops!

 So, he did! I legged it back to OTL and left Holly to sort him out, which she did with one of her big Woofs!

Woof Off You Bozo!

 And he did!

We had a laugh about that and headed off down the beach again when we noticed that OTL wasn't with us!

He's gone again!

He was playing his game again! Mind you, he couldn't get away from us 'cos he is too big and too slow!

Back home to where OTL spent some more time in the 'Editing Suite' and in the end he said that his 'Head was Hurting' and he was going to leave it all until tomorrow!

We have decided that OTL should stick to his normal camera and leave the films to Spielberg!

Lucy has a Problem!!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

You know, there is a saying these Two Legs have and it goes like this.........

'There is always someone worse off than you!'

Well, normally I would say that wasn't the case if you are the puppy that has more brothers and sisters than mummy has teats!

But we have just got word from Lucy, and well, I mean, how could you do this to a doggy?

Vogue it 'aint'!

Now, we know that the vet has told Lucy that she has to keep warm 'cos the pills she is taking to help get rid of her lumps makes her more sensitive to the cold, but, just look at that jumper!

I mean, just think what her Street Cred would be if she met one of her mates down the park, dressed like that!

Her TL should be ashamed of herself!

Now, a nice big chunky knit jumper with a roll neck and an elasticated strap to keep it from running up her back legs would be acceptable but Pink & Green Hoops?

This morning on our walk we came across a balloon thingy that had landed on the path. Holly said that if I sniffed it where the hole was my woof would go squeaky!

Well, you know me, anything for a laugh!

I had a sniff but my woof stayed just as it normally does, so, bang goes Holly's theory!

OK, where is the hole?

Down on the beach the ferrets were dancing about the sea weed and climbing over the rocks.

Mr Brambles was playing 'Space Ferret' and kept on saying ' One small step for a ferret, one giant leap for me!'

Holly and I were having a great time racing up and down the beach pretending we were F1 Racing Cars!

Brrrrm, Brrrm!

Miss Snowflake was trying to find somewhere private to have a poo but OTL was playing about with his camera again!

Do you mind! What does a  Girl have to do to get a bit of Privacy!

Back home we got Pigs Liver and biscuits waiting for us and we had a nibble 'cos we aren't used to Pigs Liver, a bit stronger taste than Lambs Liver!

 Lunch time we went out again and you know what? Nothing, no one, just us!

No One!

Maybe it's getting too cold for them all!

Talking of cold, we are going to ask The Missus to put a call out on the 'Face Ache' for a Chunky Knit Jumper for Lucy, poor thing, she just can't go out in that and hold her tail up high!

You think you have problems?

Another thing, TM has finished her video thingy on Brusho Glue & Glitter demos on How to Slap it About! So, OTL now has to 'Edit' it to take out all the rude words he said when he stubbed his foot claw on the desk!

It may take a little while before he gets it all done but there will be four films in all, you lucky lot!

Have we got a Diva or Wot!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here again!

Now, there has been a security leak on the thing Old Two Legs calls Flace Block! It seems that someone has let out that The Missus is doing some video on how to slosh paint and glitter and glue all over cards to get an 'Impressionist' result.

It's a bit like OTL and his Ethereal Mushrooms!

Well, there was no mention of it when we went out for our morning walk. Every thing as normal, sniffs, wee's and a poo in the long grass!

Holly found a ball and we chased that for a while, until the next sniff came up!

Down on the beach there was another Ethereal Morning for OTL to snap away at!

You'd think he would get fed up with photographing the same thing every morning!

We all had a run up and down the beach and Miss Snowflake was having fun chasing Mr Brambles and she kept licking his ear!

Of course, that drove him mad and he kept rolling onto his back every time she started on his ear!

Go on lad or I'll bite yer Tail!

Back home we had Lambs Heart and TM actually drizzled some gravy over the meat and biscuits, just like OTL does!

What's she after?

Well, the morning passed and nothing untoward happened, OTL went out to deliver a parcel and then it was lunchtime!

On the Sea Wall we saw these woofers walking towards us. As they got nearer they started to bark, and bark, and bark, AND BARK!

I've never heard such a lot of noise coming from such little woofers!

They were yapping so much that they didn't even tell us their names!

Holly gave them names, Squirt and Squiggle!

Though we were not sure who was Squirt and who was Squiggle!

Back home and it started.

OTL got out all the lights and tripods and video camera and the whole place was turned up side down as the lounge was transformed into a film set!

Well, the first video went off OK, after take 26!

Then we started to work on the next two.

Well, this lot was supposed to be all about Brusho Paints and how to use them.  TM can use them with no real problem. Trouble is, she can't talk and make cards at the same time or even keep to the script!

We had tantrums, shouting, brushes thrown up in the air, cards thrown in the rubbish bag and TM holding her head and shouting 'The Gods are Against Me'!

Holly and I thought she was just showing off 'cos she was rushing it too much!

It didn't help when OTL asked if she would like more time to learn how to do it properly!

What she said she was going to do with his head was physically impossible, we think!

So, in the end we only had one demo 'In the Can' and tomorrow we will start again!

Holly says that we should all be wearing 'Hard Hats' just in case she starts throwing things about if she gets another strop on!

A Snoozy Sort of Day.

Yo Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

It's a change from yesterday, we had rain in the morning, afternoon and evening!

Today we get sunshine, wind and just a little grey cloud!

We were down on the beach this morning and didn't see anyone, except us of course!

Mr Brambles was showing Snowflake how to poo behind a rock without getting you butt wet!

Look! You just poke it around the corner!

Holly and I had fun chasing up and down the beach and woofing at the sea gulls that were swimming off shore waiting for the tide to go out!

Come on, race you to the end!

Old Two Legs was clicking away at the sun again but he couldn't wait until the reflection went through the middle of the tower!

Off Centre!

Back home the ferrets were in a funny mood, OTL said they had 'Got The Pickle' in them! Miss Snowflake was running down stairs and chasing The Missus around the lounge and keeping Holly Dog on the sofa!

Of course, in between cleaning out the Poo Pot and changing the water and filling up the food bowl, he had to keep dashing downstairs to find Miss Snowflake while Mr Brambles was ferreting around in the shoe cupboard and trying to hide in OTL's boots!

I was up on the bed watching all this mayhem going on and having a good laugh at the same time!

TM had served up Doggy Scoff so we decided that a snooze would be better than listening to our tummy's grumbling!

Lunchtime was warmer but just as exciting as this morning, no woofers, no TL's, in fact nothing!

So, just for a change, we let OTL go along the upper path while was snuffled our way along the lower path.

So, when OTL turned to take a picture of us all he found was...............

Nuffin'!

 Back home we decided that the Doggy Scoff could wait until tonight when we could get desperate and be forced to eat that rubbish!

Mind you, if OTL has got some good food tonight Holly and I will give him a good mugging!

Tomorrow we may get Lambs Heart but without the Cous Cous and the other rubbish! Just give us meat and a few biscuits and gravy drizzled over it all!

Another Ethereal Morning, Followed by a Soggy Afternoon!

Hello Woofers!

Guess who is here? Yep! It's Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles again!

Old Two Legs, in the morning, has a 'Routine' he follows that gets us all up and ready for our walk.

First, I wake him up with the old 'Licky Ear' trick, then he rolls out of bed, staggers to the office, just to see if the ferrets are awake yet and if they are he gives both a 'Tickley Scratch' on their necks and back.

Miss Snowflake just loves that and squirms about with delight! Mr Brambles has a sort of stretch and a yawn and wiggles his shoulders!

After that OTL is off for a shower, gets dressed and heads off to the kitchen to get his breakfast of 'Rabbit Food', Orange juice and a cup of tea. He also gets two bowls of Lactose Free Milk for the ferrets which he adds a table spoon full of warm water, just to take the edge off the cold milk.

Then, back up to the office to wake the computers up and have breakfast with the ferrets!

Both ferrets slurp all the milk down and if there is any left, Mr B finishes it off 'cos he's bit of a 'Guzzle Guts' as OTL calls him!

This is then followed with the 'Harnessing' of the ferrets and getting ready to go for our walks. That involves a 'Bribe' of a cap full of Ferretone and while they are slurping, OTL clips up the harness, sneaky or wot!

He has to wake Holly up, 'cos she doesn't Do Mornings' but I am waiting outside the office door 'cos I just love a lick of Ferretone as well, but I don't get it that often! Then we all head down stairs to find OTL's boots!

And after that, it's off to the beach!

This morning it was raining while OTL had breakfast but it cleared up by the time we left home.

OTL still brought our raincoats and a clean towel, just in case!

By the time we got to the beach the rain had gone and the sun was dancing behind the clouds.

Looks Like a Sunny Day!

Mind you, things can be deceiving and OTL played with that shot when he got home and turned this morning into an Ethereal Happening!

It's an Ethereal Morning!

Down on the beach we saw Sheila with Bonnie and Oscar the two Boarder Terriers who would just love to have ferrets for breakfast, that is why they are always on the lead when we get near to them!

Come on, they look juicy ferrets, just a little of the flank?

OTL kept an eye on them after he emptied the ferrets out of the bag!

Both ferrets had a quick wee and while OTL was looking at an odd looking pebble on the beach, (he does that quite often) both ferrets tried to get back in the bag again!

Get out, I was first in line!

It didn't work and both were emptied out, again, and they headed for the grassy bank!

Miss Snowflake, being the faster, caught up to Holly and me and we shared some new sniffs until she decided she wanted a wash, so she dived into the wet grass while Holly and I headed for the top of the hill! 

We all enjoy a sniff, except OTL!

 Back home it was chicken for us while the ferrets had their breakfast and OTL cleared the Poo Trays before getting down to some work.

We do like an 'Ordered Life'!

Like lunchtime.

OTL is working/playing in the office on his computers, I creep up behind him and give his chair a mighty great shove with my front paws!

That is the sign for 'I Wanna Walkies'!

So, off we all go. OTL, Holly and me, the ferrets are still asleep so they miss out on the lunchtime walk.

Today, we drove out of the village and it started, the rain.

The closer we got to the beach the wetter it got and by the time we got there OTL had decided to leave his hat and the camera in the car!

We got out and were trying to decide should we get back or try a few steps when OTL clipped our collars on and sort of half marched and half dragged us down the path.

The rain came down a bit heaver, we dragged our paws a bit more and OTL pulled on the lead a bit harder.

Then it really started to come down.

Holly and I both did the 'Head Down &All Legs Stiff in Front' trick which means 'No More'!

OTL gave up and we all scampered back to the car!

We like walks but there is a limit!

Back in the car we waited for a while to see if the rain would pass over us. While we were sitting there OTL told us tales of when I was a puppy and some of the antics I used to get up to. Like, getting in the bottom of the bed, under the duvet and making The Missus fall out of the bed in panic!

Holly thought that was a scream!

Fell Outta Bed? Oh No, That's a Scream!

Then there was the time when I was riding on OTL's shoulder while we were out bird watching and I fell asleep and wee'd myself, and OTL got a wet jacket all the way down to his trousers!

It was so embarrassing!

OTL said that he thinks he still has the photo of me sitting on his shoulder, before I fell asleep!

Then, just to get even, he found one of Holly, before I came to stay!

All together now......aaaaaaaaaaah!

Holly and I are going to have a look through OTL's old pictures, you know, Black & White, we may even find some of when he was a puppy!

A Sudden Surprise For Miss Snowflake and Holly Pretends to be a Squirrel!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly,Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again!

Just for a change, no rain!

It was great being out without our raincoats, at least we could have a good run and jump about!

First of all we found a big pile of Whizz Bangs that had been Whizz Banged and then burnt, GOOD!

As Holly says..............

Not So Scary Now Are You!

Miss Snowflake was looking for a place to have a wee and decided that as the tide was right in, she would have a wee at the High Tide Mark.

This looks just right for a wee!

 The only problem was, she hadn't counted on the waves, you see, they were still sort of rushing up the beach as far as they could and some times the took a big, long, run up!

This feels safe enough!

Holly, Brambles and I just stood there wondering what she was doing, I mean, didn't she look behind her first?

It's Behind You!

As the wave came rushing up the beach we all called out together!

I have never seen a ferret move so fast!

She shot up the beach, just ahead of the wave which was running as fast as it could to catch her!

All she ended up with was a wet tail and soggy paw!

From then on, she stayed right up the beach and said that in future she would stick to holes in the sand!

OK, This is a safe place!

The Missus has cooked us some new stuff to eat. There is some Ox Heart mixed with carrots  and celery and something called Cous Cous!

Well, we both had a sniff and Holly, who we think has a 'Funny Tummy' after eating Rabbit Poo, said that she just couldn't even try it!

I had a sniff and was going to leave it as well when Old Two Legs got down on the floor, picked a bit of meat out and offered it to me.

Well, I don't like disappointing him, so I took a bit and chewed it. It didn't taste too bad but the Cous Cous was very bland and sort of took away the flavour of the meat!

He offered me a couple of bits more and I sort of shovelled them down but really, meat covered in wet sawdust, really not my thing!

We both left it and retired to bed for a snooze!

Lunchtime we went out and headed into town. OTL's big car was 'Running on Fumes' and he needed to take out a small mortgage to fill the tank up again!

After that we went down to The Forest!

OTL said he was 'After some Fungi' Holly said she was after some grass and I just wanted a squirrel for tea!

OTL was having more luck finding his fungi than I was hunting Squirrel!

We had just got through the first gate when he was on his knees clicking away!

Then blow me down, we got moving again and I looked around the find out where he was and nothing!

He had disappeared into the bracken 'cos he had spotted another!

Then a bit further on he jumped into the woods again and was snapping away as though his life depended on it!

Yeah, OK, it's a nice picture, but it's not a Squirrel!

Holly said she was getting a bit fed up with me going on about squirrels, so, she climbed up into a tree and said that she was changing into a squirrel, just for me!

 I said it was very kind of her but she just didn't have the tail to be a squirrel!

Holly said that sometimes there was no pleasing some woofers!

OTL was still crawling around the fallen trees and saying that the fungi was getting very colourful!

Yeah! Right!

OK, Getting colourful but not fully there yet!

Then it happened, there was a flash of grey and a little squirrel went crashing through the leaves and straight up a tree!

And that was before we could even start to chase it!

Wassat a Squirrel?

We never saw another one!

So much for Roast Squirrel for dinner!

Holly and I are going to try picking the meat out from the Cous Cous and other stuff in the bowl but as Holly says, 'She doesn't do green food, unless it's grass'!
