Getting Better, we think! And 150 Ping Pong Balls!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

Well, today, what can I say? First off it was a bit cold, a nasty little draft coming from The North! Even the ferrets didn't want to hang about!

Miss Snowflake was in and out of the sea weed like a shot!

OK, I'm Back, let's get a move on!

Mr Brambles didn't go near the rock pools and instead almost beat Holly to the top of the hill!

Old Two Legs got all excited about a Curlew who was marching up and down on the mud looking for his breakfast. Holly said that the Wormy Men had got all the worms!

All I want is just One Worm!

A couple of Black Headed Gulls were mooching about on the rocks but we didn't stay for a chat, it was too cold for that!

Well, they didn't stay long!

Back home The Missus had got up and was feeling better, we know that 'cos she was making a card and sploshing ink about with a White Wash Brush!

Mind you, it didn't last long, she was soon back in bed saying she felt 'Wobbly'.

We are not too sure if she is still infectious and can OTL get The Bug?

Lunchtime was no better really, the wind was still blowing and there was some rain in the air as well!

The tide was in and the waves were crashing about on the shore!

Definitely the day for being tucked up in a warm place!

OTL has been complaining of a 'Ticklish Cough' and a head ache, but no sore throat, so we reckon he has still escaped the flu and was just looking for some sympathy!

We have left him to carry on with his new printing machine and trying to sort out ten good picture but the colours don't always come out the way he wants and he does get ratty when that happens!

Now, OTL was reading some stuff on one of the Ferret Forums and someone recommended that a box full of Ping Pong Balls would be great fun for a ferret to go 'Swimming' in.

Now, he has a box big enough, so, all he needs is the Ping Pong Balls and he located them on Amazon, One Hundred and Fifty for just £7.50!

Well, that was it, order placed and we expect them to turn up Friday of this week, subject to Royal Mail service!

We are looking forward to seeing the ferrets playing in that lot and if they don't like it, Holly and I will!

A Relaxing Friday

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back on Good Friday!

Old Two Legs is still sleeping down stairs to keep away from an infectious Missus who has taken over the bedroom!

It's great fun 'cos we go up and give TM a cuddle then rush back and jump on OTL, lick his ear and snuggle down for a cuddle, until we want to go back and give TM a cuddle again!

Today, TM has got out of bed and struggled downstairs to watch TV and give OTL instructions!

Holly said she would stay with TM and make sure she got cuddles all day!

Out for our walk this morning, the ferrets fell asleep on the way down to the sea side and OTL had to pick them out of the travelling cage while they were both still asleep!

Excited Ferrets!

Mind you, as soon as OTL put them into the Ferret Bag they wanted to get out for a wee!

We headed off to The Beach and on the way OTL spotted a rabbit, but he didn't tell us!

It was sitting there, as still as a statue, frozen to the ground!

I'm not moving Mister, honest!

Of course, the wind was in the wrong direction and although the rabbit could sniff us, we couldn't sniff her!

Well, that's our excuse anyway!

The tide was out and both ferrets had a play in the sea weed and Miss Snowflake even managed to fall into a rock pool and she ended up with wet paws!

Oops! Wet Paws Again!

We were all running along the beach, heading for the grass path, when Baily poked his head over the Sea Wall to take a look at the ferrets.

He says they were 'Sweet' but as Holly says, 'Yeah, Sweet, until they take a nip of your back legs when your not looking'!

They are so Sweet!

We got back home to find TM sitting on the sofa preparing a long list of 'Urgent Jobs', OTL sneaked off up stairs to try to find a suitable Hidey Hole so he can escape!

Lunchtime we were down the beach again and the tide had just turned to go out, so there was a couple of feet of wet stones on the shore!

Holly and I did some 'Sniffing' along the high tide mark but there was nothing terribly interesting.

 There was a Sea Gull passing and we asked if he had seen Sid on his travels? Unfortunately he hadn't seen Sid since he left for the Essex side of the Thames, so we expect he has met up with his family and was staying over there for Spring.

Sid? Nah! I haven't seen him for a while!

So that was it, back home for a good brush and an application of the 'Anti Tick' drops on our back!

It's a good sign when we get them 'cos that means the holiday isn't too far away!

We have been doing some investigations on the Internetty and see that there are loads of rabbits in the area, so we are looking forward to some serious Rabbit Chasing!

TM has decided that she got up too early and will have an early night. OTL told her she should stay in bed but who ever listens to OTL?

Well we don't, unless it is to our advantage!

Last Day Before Easter!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here again!

Well, where to begin?

This morning, Old Two Legs was complaining that he hadn't had a good nights sleep, so, what's new?

He said that last night he was woofed at by Holly 'cos she wanted a wee. Then he was jumped on by Holly 'cos she wanted a cuddle. Then he was woken up by me jumping on him and kept awake by two woofers who were arguing over the best place to cuddle up to OTL!

He has been all sort of 'Wobbly' on his feet today, lack of sleep he says!

When we got down to The Beach this morning, some brainless moron had been let loose with a can of spray paint and had sprayed the Sea Wall!

OTL says it is advertising a 'Rave' this weekend. Holly did suggest that they could go out of the mud and have the rave, just when the tide is coming in!

The local police have been informed and we wait to see what will happen!

I was really giving it some stick! OTL asked if I was going too deep, Nah! You cant' go too deep, just make sure you...................

Shore it up with Big Timbers!

Back home OTL managed to get most of his chores done by midday, TM was fed breakfast, she is feeling better and a good dose of TV on her iPlod Thingy helped as well.

She is now up to a coffee in a 'Large Mug' so we reckon another day in bed and she will able to get up and order OTL about from the comfort of the sofa!

The TV is also much bigger down stairs!

When it came to lunchtime, we headed off to do some deliveries and on the way back home we stopped off at The Riverside Park!

It was windy but not too bad really!

I got all excited and went in for a little paddle, which got me told off for being a 'Soggy Doggy'!

We met up with a load of other woofers who we had never met before but we all enjoyed a sniff and a chat about the sea weed sniffs!

Hello Lads!

There was one woofer who said he had rolled in his sniff and we were just dying to know where he got it!

When we got to Horrid Hill, Holly and I had a super game of 'Chase' just like we did when we were puppies!

Holly had a look over the wall and decided that there was no way she was going to jump into the water!

We headed back towards the car and half way along the path I got this terrible urge and I called to Holly to follow me and chase a fish or two!

She fell for it and went in to her knees!

OTL called us out then told us off for being Two Wet and Soggy Doggies!

In trouble twice in one walk, is that a record?

Back home, we told TM about our run and then had a snooze before dinner!

TM stayed in bed today, just, as OTL says, to keep all the germs in one room!

I don't know how long she will stay there but we don't want the ferrets to get infected 'cos they can catch flu from Two Legs and it may be dangerous for them!

Sounds like everyone has The Bug!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

Well, what a day!

Old Two Legs had to sleep downstairs last night 'cos he didn't want to catch The Missus Flu. He was all tucked up fast asleep when Holly and I came bounding down stairs and jumped on top of him and gave his nose a good licking!

That woke him up!

We had a cuddle then went back to TM 'cos there was more room on her bed!

The sun was up when we went out for our walk  and Holly suggested that one morning, instead of walking the path we should try going along the Sea Wall. I said that may be an interesting walk but we would miss the chance of a rabbit or two!

Fancy a Change?

Miss Snowflake had the pickle in her this morning 'cos she kept chasing Mr Brambles up and down the beach! He got so fed up with her and he ran up the beach and started to dig a Monster Hole!

Snowflake said that as it was April 1st, we should play a trick on him!

Let's bury his Rock in the hole?

Now, we are always up for a joke, especially as it's April the First but even we wouldn't be so cruel as to hide his rock!

Who needs Doggies, I can dig my own Monster Hole!

Holly got into trouble on the way back and as punishment we were both put on the lead! You know, we even missed out on the rabbit sniff the ferrets said were in the long grass, they found it but we just carried on walking.

It's rather boring on a lead!

Just get that Rabbit Sniff!

 Back home OTL was dashing about doing his 'Nurse Bit' and TM was giving him instructions, like, 'I want my coffee in a smaller mug' and 'I want some orange juice diluted with 25% water with my pills'

Holly said that OTL should give her some worming pills as well, that would send her back to sleep!

Lunch time arrived and OTL had just finished all the housework when I got that feeling, you know, that feeling that says 'It's Walkies Time'!

So I gave him the old 'Hairy Eyeball'!

Oi! Do you know what time it is!

 The tide was in, in fact it had just gone past 'High Tide' Holly and I were interested in all the sniffs on The Sea Wall and the sun was shining down and once we got out of the wind, it was rather warm!

That made me think, Paddles or even A Swim!

So, when we got close to the beach I gave OTL 'The Look' and indicated that we should play on the beach but he said that he had to get home 'cos there was some one turning up for his stuff!

 I still wanted a paddle!

OTL called me to follow, then turned around and walked up the hill.

I didn't move, I still gave him 'The Look'!

 Off went OTL up the hill, off went I for a paddle!

 Well, OTL came back down the hill and onto the beach, I thought he was going to have a game but instead he clipped the lead onto my collar!

No Racing with Holly!

Holly was busy talking to some Turn Stones who were complaining that they couldn't have a mooch around on the beach 'cos I was making too much fuss!

Can't you keep her under control!

 So, back home to do some more work and get the stuff out for the carrier.

Not sure if OTL will have time for the camera today, he says that he has to get everything done before the end of the week in case he gets some of the Flu Bug!

TM was on Face Ache when we got back and reeled off a load of names of our Woofer Mates who had got the bug and were not happy about it!

So, the question is, who brought it to the Daventry Bash?

We have been nurses today!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again!

Well, we had so much planned for today, photographing our framed masterpiece, finish off the VAT Return, get some pictures printed on the new printer. Then there was all the normal stuff like mugging Old Two Legs and chasing Holly around the house and pinching The Missuses breakfast then go out for our midday walk and chase rabbits and Nargles!

But it didn't work out like that!

 When we woke up we found TM still in bed and snoring, and this was at seven fifteen!

 Holly got up on the bed and gave her a shove but all she got was a 'I Don't Feel Well'!

Oh dear!

Seems like TM has picked up a flu bug from someone up at the Daventry Bash!

Still, at least we know where TM will be all day, in bed!

Holly and I stood guard while OTL fixed breakfast for her, two paracetamols and a glass of water. Then it was breakfast for the ferrets followed by our morning walk!

It wasn't cold but it was windy, in fact so windy that OTL had to pull his hat right down over his head!

Holly said he looked like he was sinking!

Looks like OTL's Head is sinking!

 Mr Brambles was jumping around with excitement, he found his rock again!

As you know, he thinks that someone pinched hi special rock and ran off with it but this morning he found it again.

He said it had been hiding under a ton of sea weed!

Hello Mr Rock! Where have you been?

Miss Snowflake pointed out that there was a bit more sea weed around than normal, maybe there had been a storm in the night that had re arranged all the sea weed, and rocks!

We don't normally see this much weed.

Bramble had to go around to each of us and say he was sorry he had accused us of pinching his rock!

Sorry I thought you had pinched my rock.

Back home it was all busy busy clearing stuff up and getting TM her medicine from the pharmacy, then over to the butchers to get our Ox Heart and a pigs foot for the ferrets!

OTL was told by one of the judges at the ferret show that a beef bone would help when they gnawed on it, the butcher didn't have any beef bones but he had a a pigs front leg that he chopped up and we will see what the ferrets make of that!

Lunchtime down on the beach, the tide was going out but the wind was blowing the water back again, this of course stirred up all the muddy bottom and the water looked yuk!

Seriously Muddy Waters!

Back home to more work, well, Holly and I got up on the bed and made sure TM had her sleep and took her medicine and her bowl of soup!

OTL cooked up a portion of the Ox Heart which Holly and I made short work of!

Mind you, we have a good meal today and tomorrow it's Doggy Scoff again!

Maybe!

I have decided to have a little rest after doing the blog, so I've left Holly on the bed watching TM!

See you tomorrow and OTL has promised to have a go at our 'Framed Masterpiece' and he has to find the Circular Polarizer as well to help 'Get Rid of The Glass'.

Back to Earth with a Splosh!

Hi Woofers!

Champions here, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Well what a weekend we have had and it didn't really end until yesterday when we saw the prezzie OTL and us got from Lucy Babe and Marianne (her Mum). Now we are not sure of the technical description but it is the Doggies Doo Dars!

There's a picture of Old Two Legs with Holly and Me sitting next to him, it shows his knobbly knees and his Sand Boots as well!

It has at least five layers of Stamping, all hand painted and cut out so it all looks real!

The Missus says it is Decoupage and it certainly looks a really skilled bit of work!

OTL says he is going to take a picture of it tomorrow and then I can put it on tomorrows blog.

We have decided that we are going to hang the whole thing up on the wall next to his chair in the lounge, so we can see it when we're sitting next to him tasting his shortbread!

Big BIG Thanks Marianne and we'll get Lucy to give you a big lick for us!

Now, The Missus reckons that it was a birthday present for her but we reckon she has had enough presents this year, so this is OURS! 

We were really tired this morning and the mucking about with the clocks didn't help, even TM was an hour late getting up!

 OTL picked up the wrong camera, so it's all B&W today!

The sun was up and warming the beach before we got there but it stayed long enough to show off it's reflection in the sea!

Reflections

The ferrets had a super time 'Ferreting About' in the new growth of wild flowers, or as OTL calls them, Weeds!

It was good to see them rolling around in the sniffs again 'cos they weren't allowed to do that on Saturday because of the show!

Nothing like a good ferret!

Back home OTL was working on the computer, something about the VAT quarter, what ever that is!

Mind yo, we kept an eye on the clock and at the stroke of One, we started with the 'Hairy Eyeball'!

First it was Holly!

It seems he didn't see Holly, or was pretending not to see her, so, I gave him the 'Seriously Hairy Eyeball'!

Ignore this if you can!

It worked!

Down on the beach Holly was going potty running up and down the sand, finally she decided to dig a hole, well, she pinched my hole while I was having a rest in the mud!

As I said, I got sort of Exhausted and just had to have a lay down, in the mud!

OTL called me a Mucky Puppy and I got washed when we got home, so now I sniff like a Tarts Handbag, or so OTL says!

On top of The Hill we met up with The Lads and had a chat about the sniffs. All of them reckon I was sniffing super in my mud boots!

Tonight we have got Auntie Jane and Uncle Ian coming over, so we're off to prepare for some serious mugging tonight!

OTL's Little Darlings!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back with you again!

Well, we over slept this morning, Woofers, Ferrets and Old Two Legs!

We didn't care that the clocks had gone forward, we needed some sleep!

Holly got OTL up once in the night but after that everyone was snoozing their heads off and dreaming about yesterday!

There was one little girl, who we have forgotten her name, but she had two ferrets called Thunder and Lightening!

 There was the normal rush to get all the ferrets booked into their different sections!

 There was one prize for the Best Decorated Cage, guess who won that?

Is that a Rabbit or a Ferret on the cage?

 In the next cage to us there was the 4th Place winner of the Coloured Hob section. We couldn't remember his name so Snowflake has called him 'Cuddles'!

 and just to prove it, here is the Two Legs with the rosette and certificate!

 Last show, Mr Brambles picked up a bug that has been rampaging around the ferret world and it gives them a bad tummy. He had to have a course of anti biotic medicine! The bug made him feel very poorly and it could be fatal to an old ferret. This year there were bottles of hand wash stuff that you washed your hands with before and after handling a ferret, especially the 'Runners' who were taking the ferret to be judged!

Going around the cages there were plenty of opportunities to photograph the ferrets who were awake!

Please! No more photos, I need some sleep!

 Mike and Sue came down to visit and Mike was all over the place photographing the ferrets, who knows, he may even get a couple!

Michael, Getting down to Ferret Level!

Our walk this morning was a 'Sedate' stroll, even the ferrets didn't feel like tearing around as they normally do!

We met up with The Lads, Bryn, Max and Oscar and told them all about the ferret show. They were dead impressed!

Then we met Butch and he was just as impressed. Holly has got a 'Soft Spot' for Butch who she thinks is a 'Seriously Fit Woofer' and fancies him something rotten!

 Miss Snowflake went for a paddle in the water but then demanded to be picked up. When OTL asked why she should be carried she said 'Cos I'm a Star'!

 Back home the ferrets enjoyed their morning slurp of Lactose Free Milk diluted with a drop of warm water!

Mummmm, Mummmmm, Mummmm!

When the ferrets were out 'Rampaging' around the house this morning, Snowflake was getting picked up every time she went past OTL and she got a kiss on the top of her head from OTL and he kept calling her his 'Clever Little Ferret'!

She had to ask him to leave off kissing her 'cos she was getting a wet and soggy head and it was making her fur frizzy and curl up!

All this stardom has it's draw backs sometimes!

So, we are now waiting for TM to phone home to get OTL to pick her up.

We can't wait to tell her all about our adventure!
