No Rain, No Monsters, No OTL!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Mr Brambles, Miss April and Miss May back again!

Well, it hasn't been the best of days today, you see Holly has got a Grumbly Tum and that means she is off her food and doesn't want to play 'Chase Around The House', instead all she wants to do is curl up on the sofa and look miserable!

Down on the beach this morning the tide was right out so the ferrets were free to climb over the sea weed and hunt for the Big Slimy Monster but today we think the Monster might have gone with the tyre we saw yesterday!

No tyres, I'm off for a wee as well!
Holly, was sitting on the sand and refused to move. Then she said 'I'm sitting on a really good sniff' now, I'm always interested in good sniffs and asked if I could investigate it.

Is it worth two biscuits and chew when your tum gets better?
 Yes, it was!

An expensive sniff but worth every bit!
Back home Old Two Legs sneaked out with a big parcel that he had to deliver and a list of customers he had to call on. That means we were left behind!

Holly went off to the sofa and fell asleep while I sat at the window waiting for OTL to come back!

Lunchtime came and we were wondering if The Missus was going to take us out when the big car landed on the drive, OTL is back!

Holly and I were all excited 'cos he had returned and just as excited 'cos he got the ferrets ready and got ua all in the car!

We had a good run, well I did but Holly was just plodding along with OTL and the Page Three Girls!

She came across a ring of toadstools and OTL called it a Fairy Ring but as Holly couldn't see any fairies she just called it a ring of toadstools!

So, where is the fairies?
We got down on the beach and Holly stayed up on the Sea Wall and laughed at May and April digging holes in the sand and then chasing OTL up and down the beach!

A Hole or OTL? A Hole or OTL? Decisions, Decisions!
The tide wasn't right in so I couldn't go swimming but I did get a muddy paddle!

So, we are now off to see what is for dinner, Holly says that she isn't really interested and said that if I wanted, I could have her Lambs Heart!

See you tomorrow!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Mr Brambles, Miss April and Miss May

River Monsters!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Mr Brambles, Miss April and Miss May back to see you again!

Just for a change, this morning it was sunny and bright. Down on the beach most of the weed had been washed away and the sand looked all clean and bright!

Mind you, the ferrets say they prefer the grass and while the sand is OK for a dig, you can't beat a good 'Ferret Around' in the undergrowth!

Bright, clean and washed!
Back home we got Doggy Scoff, so that cheered us up a treat, I don't think! Old Two Legs had a lot to do so we had to stay behind and catch up on our snoozing!

Lunchtime he was back and off we went for a walk. The Page Three Girls were in a fine funny mood. Miss May got her harness on first and after a slurp of Ferretone she gave OTL a lick on his cheek!

She is learning!

Our lunchtime walk starts off with a rummage around in the grass which we all enjoy. The ferrets enjoy hunting around for sniffs and monsters!

They have found some sniffs but no monsters yet!

I just love a good sniff!
Miss May pretended she was a monster but she didn't fool anyone!

I'm a Ferret Monster!
The tide was almost in and I went off looking for a stick for OTL to throw but all I found was some old egg sacks, so we used that for a while!

Egg Sacks are better than nothing!
Miss May was getting big and brave and was investigating a sniff on the beach when a wave came rushing in and gave her a wet tail!

Yikes! That was a wet one!
OTL dried her off by rolling her in his coat which is all soft and acts as a super towel! After that she sat in the sunshine for a while and OTL managed this shot!

Looking Good Miss May!
We got down to the beach where the ferrets normally dig in the sand before heading home.

Today Holly was getting upset about a strange looking thing that was floating just off shore!

She woofed at it and told it to Woof Off! Then she told me to investigate and chase it off our beach.

I went into the water and slowly got closer, then I realised what it was, it was a car wheel that had been covered with weed and pushed off into the water!

Holly says Woof Off or your in trouble!
It was a bit of a surprise but Holly didn't believe that it was a car tyre covered with weed and insisted it was a monster!

It's a pity she couldn't get out to see it, mind you, she would have got her paws wet, and that would never do!

I hope there is some good muggings tonight, that scoff is a bit yuk, even Holly turns her nose up at it!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Mr Brambles, Miss April and Miss May.

Back to work again!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Mr Brambles, Miss April and Miss May here!

Well, it's not as bad as yesterday but it still managed to rain on us this morning when we were down the beach and then it did it again in the afternoon!

You can see the clouds passing over us in this picture Old Two Legs took.

Another Woofers Warning'!
Today is the first day of Autumn, bet you didn't know that! Well, it is and I can see that there will be more of these 'Sunrise Photos' on the blog, together with Fungi in strange places!

Talking of strange, Holly was sniffing about on the beach when Brambles came up and asked if he could jump over her!

Of course, she said that there was no way a ferret could jump over a woofer and that he would only hurt himself if he tried!

You are joking, aren't you?
Brambles insisted that he would be OK and would clear Holly with no trouble 'cos he had been practising jumping onto the sofa!

Holly did ask if he had ever got onto the sofa and Brambles had to admit he hadn't, but he had got close yesterday morning, but he fell off  'cos he caught one of his claws on the dog blanket on the seat and ended up slipping onto the carpet!

He made such a fuss that Holly agreed and stood there as Brambles came tearing along the beach. Holly turned her head away saying that she 'Just couldn't look' and Mr B ran straight past and stopped by her tail.

I just can't look!
'There you go!' said Brambles, 'Straight over the top and a safe landing as well!'

Of course, Holly couldn't argue with him 'cos she had her eyes closed and I'm not going to tell her!

This morning the Page Three Girls were having a great game and winding OTL up at the same time. You see, OTL says 'Hello' to them and lets them out for a run around the house as a treat in the morning. After putting them back in the cage they normally will kick the Poo Pot around to get his attention again for a cuddle or another run around the office.

This morning they were going to wind OTL up good and proper, they decided to play 'Poo Pot Tennis'!

As one tossed the Poo Pot across the floor, the other would kick the other Poo Pot so it hit the first Poo Pot and crashed against the wall, then, the first one would kick it again and off they went, Bang, Crash, Bang, Crash, CRASH.............................15 Luv!

No matter what OTL said, they took no notice of him and had a right old Crash and Bang about for quite some time!

That was until they felt tired and went to bed in their new Hanging Bed!

Beats Wimbledon any day!
Lunchtime arrived and the sun was out, well, jumping around the sky and hiding behind the clouds and there were a lot of clouds!

Holly was the first to notice that the clouds were getting bigger!

I think it's going to rain soon!
Not that it worried me 'cos I was in the water playing at 'Cross Channel Swimming'!

Which way to France!
The ferrets were deep in the weed that got washed up on the beach from yesterdays tide!

Loads of Ferret Sniffs!

There's loads of insects in here!
Then it started, the rain, it came down, then it came down with a bit more force and Holly really got worried!

We're in for a soaking!
The ferrets finally got the message and ran over to OTL for protection!

I need cuddles!
It wasn't too long before April sniffed the rain as well!

I need cuddles as well!
They had a cuddle but it wasn't for long, they wanted to get down and go sniffing in the long grass.

Then it happened, it started to rain and it got heavier and heavier!

We were all running back to the car but we got soaked through to the skin!

Holly was mumbling away about 'I told you so' and the ferrets were wondering if anyone was wee'ing on them 'cos they had never been out in the rain before!

Now they have!

Just wait until it snows!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Mr Brambles, Miss April and Miss May.

Soggy Bank Holiday!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Mr Brambles, Miss April and Miss May back again!

It has been a 'Traditional Bank Holiday' according to Old Two Legs, rain, rain and after that, a bit more rain!

We were out this morning but it was raining when we got to the car park, so, OTL left the camera in the car!

We managed to get out down to the beach and back again and almost to the car park before the rain came down again and you know what? I never realised just how fast a ferret could run!

We got a rub down with our towel in the car 'cos we were all a bit soggy!

Back home, another rub down and then some lambs heart and a snooze under OTL's desk!

The Missus went off playing 'Glue & Glitter' with her mate 'The Cat Woman' and left us with OTL all day. Not that we worried 'cos OTL was busy doing some 'Manufacturing' and we had fun looking at the ferrets rampaging around the house while Holly and I stayed out of their way, up on the bed, watching them race around!

It's good fun watching May and April do their Weasel War Dance and running around chasing each other.

Lunchtime it looked like the rain had stopped, so, off we went again and this time we left Snowflake and Brambles snoozing while May and April were looking forward to getting out into the long grass for a sniff!

Down on the beach there were a couple of Two Legs and they were waiting there getting ready to go in for a paddle!

Potty!

A Paddle?
May was investigating the beach 'cos she reckons that the TL's not only leave rubbish on the beach but they leave bits of food as well!

Some funny old sniffs they leave!
The wind was blowing the waves onto shore, so it was a bit noisy! Because of the wind there was a load of sea weed being washed onto the beach, we will be interested to see what is left on the beach tomorrow!

Loads of Weed!
The ferrets had fun snuffling in and out of the long grass while Holly and I were investigating the Sea Wall.

Holly, as normal, was a bit slow and was dragging her paws, when, with a big bang, a wave crashed against the sea wall and splashed over the wall and almost soaked her!

That was close!
We carried on and as we were getting close to the car, guess what? Yep! The rain started again!

May and April called out for me to get a move on 'cos they were getting wet!

You know, they can move quickly for a 'Long Wheel Base Rat'!

Shift yer paws Woofer!
We made it back to the car in time and when we got home we all got a good rub down and settled down to watch some TV.

OTL fell asleep, so did Holly and I, you know it's hard work having fun all the time!

See you tomorrow, with a bit of luck we should see some sunshine!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Mr Brambles, Miss April and Miss May.

A Lovely Lazy Day!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Mr Brambles, Miss April and Miss May back again!

Well, today has been one of those days when there was nothing too exciting going on and most of the day is spent snoozing!

Early this morning we were out before the sun got up and Old Two Legs just had to take a picture of the sky.

The colours don't last for very long, just a few minutes in fact, plus the little bit of 'Fiddling' on the computer!

Mind you, the sky was what Holly called a 'Woofers Warning', you know the saying, 'If it's a Red Sky in the morning, there comes a Woofers Warning!'

The only trouble is, what's the warning about?

A Woofers Warning!
We all had game on the beach and then headed back home for some breakfast, 'Doggy Scoff'!

I mean, just what is a woofer to do when served up with that stuff!

OTL spent a long time up in the office 'cos it is 'Month End' and he had to get a load of paperwork done today, so, what does a woofer do?

Snooze!

Lunchtime was better, we missed out on the rabbits 'cos there were too many Two Legs wandering about!

It's no good, they've scared them off!
Holly met up with Bert and of course she played The Tart again and had Bert rushing around in circles again!

Tarts R Us!
Down on the beach I was looking forward to a dip but the waves were too big and they were crashing onto the beach and making a lot of noise!

Wet and Windy!
Miss May and Miss April had a great time on the beach as they had never seen the water so high or the waves so big!

May got all big and brave and went up to the ridge of stones to look down into the sea and spent some time looking at the waves!

Then she made an important observation.

The Wee'ing Rock has gone!
We are hoping that the sun will come out tomorrow so we can have some time catching the rays!

With any luck, we do some serious mugging tonight to make up for that 'Doggy Scoff' that is sitting in our bowls in the kitchen!

Bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Mr Brambles, Miss April and Miss May.

Fun Time!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Mr Brambles, Miss April and Miss May here again!

It has been a funny day today, starts off grey skies and then out comes the sun and finally down comes the rain!

Miss May and Miss April are settling down to life in the household. Attacks on Old Two Legs have now reduced to 'Play Time' and they are more like and 'Open Mouth' touch and not a nip. Miss May was the one who kept on tasting OTL's blood but now she is becoming very friendly. She used to pick on her sister and make her squeal but now it is 'Chase and Tag' type of fun. Both ferrets will come bounding up to OTL when he is in his knees and jump up and hit him with their front paws!

I think they are realising that OTL doesn't want to hurt them and in fact, good things happen when he is there. Like, Ferretone and Malt Paste Nibbles and going out and getting a tickle behind the ears and then rampaging around the house and pinching our biscuits!

Also, they have discovered the taste of Lactose Free Milk! They just lap it up at full speed!

Mmmmm, Mmmmmm, Mmmmmm!
Down on the beach this morning OTL took the ferret bag off his shoulder to untangle the leads and they both sneaked back into the bag!

Room for a Little One?
When we were on our way back to the car I spotted a rabbit sitting outside it's burrow, so, I tried sneaking up on it!

Here Bunnie Bunnie!
Of course, as soon as I got near he ran off!

Back home there was some chicken waiting for us and us and the ferrets had to be kept apart 'cos we don't share with ferrets!

Lunchtime the ferrets started to kick their Poo Pot around, just to attract OTL's attention and to tell him it's Walkies Time!

Down in the car park, Holly and me were out like a shot, looking for the rabbit we missed this morning!

May and April were rattling on the door to be let out and calling to us to wait for them!

Come on we want a wee!
OTL had brought the rubber bone with him and we had a game of 'Fetch' but I didn't go out very far 'cos there were waves that were a bit rough!

I could do surfing on these waves!
In the end OTL decided that it was too rough for any more swimming, so I spent some time trying to get dried by shaking the water off but when I did it standing next to OTL it made him jump!

Who's a Soggy Doggy then!
May and April had a little dig on the beach then headed off to the grass path 'cos they reckon the sniffs are better up there!

Come on, move your tail!
Back home it was snooze time and tonight we look like getting a DVD, a cuddle and some more of OTL's shortbread!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Mr Brambles, Miss April and Miss May.

She's Back!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Mr Brambles, Miss April and Miss May here again!

Wot a super day we have had down here, the sun was hiding behind the clouds this morning but came out to see us at lunchtime!

We were up early this morning, too early! I needed a wee at about four thirty and we just didn't really get back to sleep. You see we had a 'End of the Week Party' last night and this morning it was a bit of a mess down stairs!

It was a good thing that the dustbin men call today 'cos there was loads of stuff to get rid of, you know, biscuit boxes and whisky bottles and shortbread tins and chew packets and loads of other stuff!

We thought that we had broken the vacuum cleaner at one time 'cos it stopped working 'cos it got too hot!

By the time we went out for our morning walk it had been all cleared up and the cleaner had cooled down enough so it wouldn't catch fire if we put it away in the cupboard!

We got down to the beach but the tide had gone out and all there was left were rock pools. Now they don't hold much interest for me, unless there is a crab or two to play with, but Snowflake has fun climbing over the sea weed and having a wee into a rock pool which she says sounds all musical!

Oh Gawd, a Ferret with a Musical Wee, what ever next?

Enough for a little 'Water Music?'
I had some fun rolling in the dew on the grass and ended up a bit of a Soggy Doggy!

I feel a little damp!
Snowflake and Brambles did the same but they found a sniff that wasn't too wet!

OK, He's not looking, have a roll!
We couldn't hang about for too long 'cos The Missus was heading back home from her week away baby sitting in Birmingham!

Old Two Legs said that she would give us a ring before she got home, just so we can finish off the clearing up and then be sitting at the window to welcome her back!

Just like the good little puppies we are!

Well, when she arrived we went a little potty, no, tell a lie, we went really potty! She got a right royal Woofers Welcome and a good ear licking as well!

She had a look around and didn't tell OTL off for making a mess and she hasn't yet had a look under the sofa to check for 'Ferret Stash', so we think we may have got away with it!

Lunchtime we are back down the beach but with May and April in the Ferret Bag.

There were loads of Two Legs on the beach, so, those ferrets got a lot of attention and strokes!

As it was warm and sea was right in and there was no wind, there was only little waves lapping the shore. April got all big and brave and went for a little paddle. She didn't go in very far 'cos she didn't know how deep it was and she didn't know if she could swim.

I'm not too sure about swimming in there!
I tried to be helpful by telling them both that it wasn't too deep!

Honest Girls, it only comes half way up a duck!
I don't think they believed me!

OTL hadn't got the red rubber bone 'cos he left it in his other jacket so all I had to chase were the stones he tossed in the water!

Why won't the stones float?
As we made our way along the beach the tide was going out and pretty soon I could run out a long way and still have my paws on the bottom. So, just for a laugh, I tried sitting down!

Well, it feels deeper if you sit down!
The only problem was, you end up with a muddy butt!

Back home I got a rub down with our towel and Holly and I got a chew each, so we spent the rest of the afternoon chewing and snoozing!

Not sure what is for dinner tonight, with a bit of luck it will be something worth mugging!

Bye Bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Mr Brambles, Miss April and Miss May.

OMG OTL has got himself a Laphroaig Beanie hat!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Mr Brambles, Miss April and Miss May here again!

Just what has happened to the summer? I mean, Bank Holiday is arriving and Old Two Legs is digging out his 'Wet Weather Gear'!

We had a super evening, we watched two episodes of The Hobbit and we cheered and booed all the way through! OTL shared his shortbread with us and Holly let him have a chew of her Teeth Cleaning Chew!

I hid my chew under our cushions in the bedroom so it was only Holly's that he got to nibble!

This morning was all damp and grey and you know what? We didn't see another woofer at all!

Maybe they have gone away on holiday.

We all had a run around on the beach and  dug a few holes. OTL got out the red rubber bone I normally play fetch with when the tide in in. He threw it down the beach and instead of bringing it back, I dug a hole and buried it!

A Safe Place to keep it!
Well, what do you think I am, a Bozo Labrador that fetches?

Mr Brambles tried a run along The Wall of Death but fell off and rolled down the beach!

Just Watch this run!
It was so funny watching him fall over that I was rolling on my back and laughing!

Well, really, I'd found this super sniff and needed an excuse to roll on the ground!

Oh! That is So Funny!
As we got close to the car park, the ferrets found some fungi that had grown during the night and Snowflake cracked a funny!

Any more and there wont be Mushroom to move!
As Holly said, 'Oh Yes, Very Droll!'

Back home to a hot bowl of chicken, cooked with a slosh of Virgin Olive Oil!

We know how to live!

OTL has been busy manufacturing so we left him alone until lunchtime when Holly and I woofed at him and the Page Three Girls kicked their Poo Pot around to get his attention..................It's Walkies Time!

We got to the beach and the tide was right in! That was it! OTL got the rubber bone out and I had a great time sploshing about.

There were no waves so we had nothing to worry about!

As flat as a mill pond!
Miss April got all excited and rushed down to the waters edge but didn't realise that the water was lapping onto the shore. So, she was just thinking about a wee when a small wave rushed in an wet her butt!

What the devil was that!
Mind you, it didn't stop her from having a game of Bulldozers in the sand, she dug her nose in and ploughed up the beach in fine fashion!

Brrrrm! Brrrm!
I joined in and helped her by playing at being a Steam Roller, but really I just fancied a roll in the sand!

Holly on the other paw looked down and called us all 'Soppy'!

Did we care?

I'm a Steam Roller!
On the way back, up on the top path Miss May had great fun digging up the path saying that she could hear rabbits underneath. The only problem was, she didn't know how deep!

There be rabbits down here!
We got home to find a parcel waiting for OTL, so, up to the office to open it up and guess what?

It was a Beanie hat that he had ordered from his favourite distillery!

He says that when we are on holiday he can wear it when he takes us out, if it's too windy for his normal hat!

We are not too sure that we would want to be seen with him in that hat!

A Bozo in a Beanie Hat!
We are off to see what he is cooking up tonight and then afterwards we will get the shortbread out and enjoy one last night of crumbs and sing songs before The Missus gets home tomorrow.

I hope it's not too early, there is a lot of crumbs and biscuits to clear up, and then there is the washing up, but that's another story!

Bye Bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Mr Brambles, Miss April and Miss May.
