Is there snow on the way? What was in the Blue Bag?

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and don't forget Freddy de Ferret!

As if we could forget Freddy Babe!

Mind you, Wendy got into a bit of a ruckus this morning with Freddy, you see, May and April have been out 'Collecting' stuff and storing it behind the bottom drawer where Old Two Legs keeps his work stuff. This morning they managed to 'Collect' some tasty stuff for eating later.

When it was Fred and Wendy's turn for a rampage around the house, Fred dived into the draw and polished off the Chicken Strips that were stored there, then he started on the brand new Doggy Teeth Cleaning Chew, which he just loves!

Wendy was under the opinion that the Chicken Strips were more than enough for Freddy and she should have first nibble at the chew.

Freddy didn't agree.

Freddy held onto the chew and every time Wendy tried to get it from him, he turned his head and used his rather well endowed butt to shove her away!

Wendy got upset and all hell broke loose!

There was crashing and squeaking and grumbling going on behind the drawer  and the whole bit of furniture was crashing about all over the place!

OTL had to take out the drawers and pull the two apart!

He found Two new Bonio Biscuits, a brand new Teeth Cleaning Chew, two bits of Rawhide chew, several Brambles Biscuits and a squeaky ball hidden there!

Holly and I had the biscuits while Freddy got half of the chew while Wendy got the other half!

The Rawhide chews were left for Holly and I to finish off after lunch!

Down on the beach there was blue sky and sunshine.

but will it stay like this?

Holly has been watching the weather reports and reckons that there could be some snow on high ground. I did point out that we were down at sea level and it shouldn't get to us but Holly said we should make preparations, like, get a shovel out of the shed and order some extra chicken and lambs hearts so we wouldn't run out of food!

Miss May was walking with us up the grass path and said that we were like the three Musketeers, you know, One for All and All for One!

 OTL said he would be taking his set of Snow Chains he brought last year when he goes on Saturday, I wonder if he knows something we don't?

Lunchtime it was getting a bit colder but Wendy and Freddy got dragged out of a warm bed and marched down to the beach!

Tale of the Blue Bag!

I must admit, even I was glad when we got back in the car and then home to a warm spot under OTL's desk!

Tomorrow we will be helping OTL load everything he will need up in Orkney.
Thermal Underwear, Woolly Socks, Warm Scarf, Two Pairs of Gloves, Three Warm Hats, Two Arctic Coats, Tufty Walking Boots, Three 'Under Coats' and that is without the standard stuff like knickers, shirts, dinner suit bow tie. You know, all the normal stuff! 

Then there is all the camera stuff and not forgetting a shovel!

Almost too much for me!

April is full of Bounce!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

We have been noticing that April has been getting more 'Bouncy' since she has been taking her medicine. She has been curled up with May when she is sleeping and has taken to sleeping close to the Poo Pot. Holly reckons that is because of the water tablet! You know what it's like when you gotta go and the nearer the pot the better!

Old Two Legs stopped eating his rabbit food and got the camera out!

Miss April is Bouncy!

OTL has made an appointment with the vet for this Saturday so she can get a check-up and also get some more medicines before he leaves for Orkney!

We have found him getting out his clothes he will take and he has been putting them to one side for packing!

Now, I want all you woofers to stand to attention and all together on the count of seven.

Now, does that mean we will get Lambs Heart every day and Doggy Scoff will be banned?

That would be a Giant Leap for Woofer Kind!

A Pile of Ferret Poo goes to waste!

Hi Woofers!

We are back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and finally, Freddy de Ferret!

First thing this morning we were expecting a bit more sun than we actually got! Holly spotted a bit of blue sky and Miss May said she saw some blue sky!

A  Good Day?

Down on the beach May was having a great time in the Sea Kale again, mind you, I can't see the attraction my self, it sniffs of too much salt!

Can we grow one of these in the garden?

We heard some woofing in the distance but couldn't see any woofers, but that didn't stop me from doing my 'Imposing Pose'!

It's a woofer thing to make you look all sort of big, mean and impressive!

Lunchtime, Fred and Wendy came out with us. We couldn't have a game on the beach 'cos the tide was right in and it was a Spring Tide which means it was right up the top of the beach, in fact it was sloshing against the Sea Wall!

We kept away and headed for the grass path where we all had a sniff and a roll!

As we were getting closer to the car park we met up with a young woofer who had just given permission to go out in the big world after having her second injection! We all said hello and had a sniff. Except for the ferrets who stayed away 'cos OTL said that little woofers had sharp teeth!

New Woofer on the Beach!

Back home Old Two Legs was trying on his new jacket he got the last time we stopped at Gretna Green. He said it was very warm but needs a scarf to keep out the wind around his throat!

So, picture this, OTL, prancing around with his new jacket and throwing a scarf around his neck and blowing kisses at himself in the mirror!

Holly said he needs some worming tablets and a dose of Cod Liver Oil!

We were glad to hear that Nipper is getting on well with Archie Babe but we are a bit concerned that his diet seems to be lacking iron.

When he was with us he often went out and mugged a Mini Two Legs on their way to school and pinched their bike, which he ate when he got home!

OTL said that he has checked the shed and his bike is still there, rusting away through non use!

Now, did you know that ferret poo is supposed to keep rats away? Well, according to Lisa-Marie that is correct and she wanted some to try! All our ferrets said they would be pleased to contribute and set about increasing their 'Production Rate'!

The ferret food consumption has increased and the stowage bucket has been slowly getting fuller each day.

Today we hear the order has been cancelled 'cos collection clashes with Valentine's Day!

So, what's the problem? 

Right, we are off to see what is muggable and OTL is to decide what he is going to do with the ton and a half of Ferret Poo!

Rock Climbing and other stuff!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret back again!

Old Two Legs is still getting his gear packed and Miss May was helping him this morning. She decided that the lenses in the crate may get damaged so she has put her Chicken Strips in between the
lenses. Now that was OK, right up to when Wendy found out what was keeping the lenses apart!

No one will disturb that lot!

We now have a crate devoid of Chicken Strips!

Out walking first thing, May was playing at 'Free Climbing' that is, climbing with out ropes. She reckons she could climb a Munro, from the back which is the hardest route!

Yeah Right!

Next it's Ben Nevis from the North!

We did point out that OTL was doing all that stuff a few years ago and she had to think of something new!

May said she could do some Hill Running and decided to practise on the grass path!

Come on, it's not a mountain!

While she was messing about Holly and I found a sniff that we thought may be a ferret but May said it was a Weasel!

Well, it sniffs like a ferret!

Lunchtime we were out again with Fred and Wendy. Fred really didn't want to go as he was enjoying a serious sleep and tried very hard not to wake up, even after OTL had lifted him out of his sleeping bed!

 Down on the Sea Wall, OTL put Fred and Wendy down on the concrete so that as they ran or walked, they would trim their claws to a proper length.

Now that would be good, if you were walking on concrete, Freddy decided that his claws needed a soft sandy beach followed by some soft grass and did everything to get back in the bag!

I don't like this concrete!

 He got his wish 'cos a woofer was following us along the path and OTL was forced to carry Fred and Wendy to the beach!

Down on the beach Holly and I kept an eye on what the woofer was doing and soon it tuned around and headed back up the Se Wall.

We sorted that out!

 The ferrets had a walk along the beach but the tide was right in so they couldn't dig in the sand 'cos it was covered in water!

It was then that Freddy asked if we could all go onto the grass where it was more fun!

This is no fun, can we go digging in the grass?

 Now, you can tell Fred and Wendy are getting fitter, 'cos the walked all the way back to car park! OK, there were a couple of moments when he rolled onto his back and claimed he had 'Twisted his Claw'. Not that we took any notice and in the end he made it back to the car and had a good drink from our water bowl!

Holly said that she was wondering how Nipper was getting on as Archie Babe hasn't mentioned him for a while, maybe he is settling down to family life and given up the idea of becoming a Cage Fighter!

Fred has been spending more time cuddled up with Wendy, so that is good news and she has almost stopped trying to chase Freddy.

We are off to see what OTL has got for dinner, so bye for now and see you tomorrow!

Windy or Wot!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret all here to see you again!

Now, I'm not sure if it happened where you live but down here the wind has been blowing with some force today! OK, I know it's not as bad as South Wales or Cornwall but to us here in the South East, it was just too windy!

In fact, it was so windy that one of the fence panels blew down and Missy, the Woofer next door, came into our garden for a sniff while we were  having our breakfast!

Down on the beach we saw that the storm was blowing the clouds away, so, if you look at the photo, it looks like a sunny day. Trubble is, Old Two Legs can't photograph the wind!

It is windy, Honest!

With all this wind going on, it was a bit chilly, so we got to wear our 'Flying Coats' which look like they are fleece lined, which they are not, well not real sheep fleece, more a polyester stuff!

Still, it keeps the wind out!

 Down on the beach Miss April stayed in the bag and refused to come out which we think was a sensible thing to do! May had fun doing the sniffs but like us, didn't hang about too long !

It's too cold for hole digging today!

Mind you, when we got back to the car park, May and April were having a jog along the last bit. Holly spotted a couple of rabbits in the middle of the grass patch and of course off we went!

By the time we got to where they were, they had gone!

I reckon it was Holly doing too much Woofing that scared them off!

Mind you, it was good to get back home and into a nice warm house!

Lunchtime it was raining and OTL had decided that it was too wet to take the camera out but not wet enough to prevent us woofers from having a run!

Not that we agreed with him, I mean, any wet drips of rain on your nose can put any woofer off sniffing!

Love the idea of nicking a Cream Egg and eating it whole including the wrapper. Just think of what OTL would say the next time we had a poo!

April has now lost almost all of the excess fluid and is almost back to her normal slim self. She still has a coughing spell but nowhere near as often as she used to have them. In fact OTL had to adjust her harness 'cos it was getting a bit loose around the neck!

She is having a great time rampaging around the house and playing games with OTL, like trying to run up his trouser leg when he is cleaning the cage out!

Sneaky or wot?

Sorry about no video today, blame OTL, he is the one with the camera!

OTL has been looking on the Internetty Wotsit Thingy and has spotted a forecast of some Aurora Thursday and Friday next week but this will be visible, (clouds permitting) on Orkney!

It is the strangest things that make him excited nowadays, I put it down to age and too much shortbread!

Sunday and OTL gets the camera gear out!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here again!

Today we have been helping Old Two Legs to sort out all the cameras and lens and getting the batteries all charged up!

He has got so many lenses that he has put several into a crate to leave at home! There is also a load of other stuff he is leaving, just to make the travelling box lighter!

In between sorting out the camera stuff he also waterproofed three coat thing that he wears when it gets cold or wet! Now we know it may be cold but we are almost sure that it will be wet!

What was best was the walkies we had in between lens selection and waterproofed hoods!

Now, Izzy, you must learn to tell the difference between a Ferrets Bum and a Boot!

Busy Busy!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and not forgetting Freddy de Ferret!

What a Saturday it has been. The wind has been blowing like mad all day and there was even some rain in the air this afternoon!

Mind you, it didn't stop us from having a roll on the beach and the ferrets made the most of it as well!

Sea Kale is good for scratching your belly!

Lunchtime we dropped in to see the ladies in The Missus's Master Class. Holly and I did our 'Cute' bit but it seemed that everyone wanted to stroke the ferrets!

 Mind you, we made lots of woofing noises but it was the ferrets that got all the strokes!

 We got back home and found that May and April were having game of chase in the cage. OTL let them out for a run and they decided to chase the cheese in OTL's boots!

Miss May also finished off the Lactose Free milk before April could get to it!

Pretty soon it was time to go and collect TM from the Master Class. Holly and I sat at the window waiting for TM and OTL to come back and when they did, we went potty!

Guess who is waiting?

OTL has finished booking all the hotels and ferries for his trip to the Orkney's next week. Looks like it could be a fun time. Let's hope he gets some good photos of the stone circles and standing stones!

He also told us that there is a distillery on the island as well, so you know where he will be going!

Friday is Fun Day!

Hello Woofers!

We are here again! Daisy, Holly,Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

We had the delivery man call with a package for Old Two Legs, a Landranger Map of the Orkney Mainland!

It is getting closer! I expect OTL will be working on dates and routes and B&B's and just what he wants to see when he gets up there!

I know he has already enquired about a B&B and had a reply, so that bit is sorted, almost!

It is going to be fun being looked after by The Missus for over a week!

I wonder what trouble we can all get into while OTL is away?

Today we had a walk on the beach and this time Miss April said she felt like a bit of fresh air, so she was in the bag with her nose sticking out the top!

She even got out for a run on the beach!

And that's when it happened...........................................OTL fell over!

He got his paws all crossed and down he went! Makes you wonder what he would do with four paws like wot we got?

OTL Can't run backwards!

Well we all laughed and poor April had to be put back in the bag 'cos she could hardly breath for laughing!

 Both Fred and Wendy were out for a midday run but instead of walking along the sea wall to help keep their claws trim, they instead went on the beach for a little 'Dig and Whizz'.

Well, in Freddie's case it was a 'Dig and Waddle'!

We were having a great time and the ferrets were enjoying a good roll in the grass when...........

Well, sorry about the late blog but Old Two Legs has been out working today and he forgot to switch the laptop on so I can do the blog!

Mind you, he has been working on the dustbin trucks again and they have left a sniff around him the The Missus calls a 'Pong'!

He is at the moment trying to scrub off the sniff in the shower!

Now, we managed to get a couple of videos of today's fun and games!

Good News for April!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

Well, we have some good news today!

Yesterday we got Aprils meds and Old Two Legs started her off with a dose of Diuretic to get her going, and it did!

She was in and out of the Poo Pot all evening and through the night!

This morning she was all snoozy in her bed, tucked up with Miss May.

Normally what happens is that OTL gets his breakfast and a couple of bowls of Lactose Free Milk for the ferrets and while he is slurping away at his rabbit food, the May and April have a small rampage around the office and slurp their milk down. Now, of late, April has had a slurp then headed off for a snooze. This is all to do with here heart condition, however, this morning, OTL gave her another dose of the Diuretic and  a quarter of her 'Heart Tablet'.

She slurped down the mixture with the help of a slosh of Ferretone then she was out of her sleeping bag and then set about trying to have a fight with Freddy and Wendy!

This is, 'Back to Normal' as far as she is concerned!

It looks like the meds are working!

OK. we know there is no 'Cure' for her heart condition but it is good to see her all bright and bouncing around. You know, she even flew downstairs to raid the biscuits and hide the stash behind the telly!

OTL said he was 'Well Pleased' with the results!

We still have to keep an eye on her but claws crossed things have improved no end!

We went out for our walk this morning and April came along as well but other than a wee and a poo, she stayed in the ferret bag 'cos it was rather chilly and raining!

We didn't mind and we issued an 'Excused Duties' chit for her this week!

Lunchtime came, Freddy and Wilma came out with us but decided that it was really too cold for walking. Freddy did his 'Rolling on His Back' bit and refused to walk! In the end he got a lift but only up to the bench where he was put down to walk all the way back to the car!

While we were out OTL stopped by the power station and got his big camera out. We were all wondering what he was doing when there was a Big Bang!

Freddy jumped and said it wasn't him! Wendy shouted 'Incoming' while Holly and I ducked under the doggy towel in the back of the car!

 Then it all started to fall down...................

Going, Going

 Then it all went 'Whumph!' and the dust went every where!

OK, who's got the broom?

Now, if that made a big crash, just imagine what it will be like when the chimney comes down!

That's Next!

We were glad to get away from that pile of rubble and back to a nice warm cushion for a snooze!

April is OK and snoozing and even May has moved to another bed for a snooze.

She has been spending a lot of time cuddled up to April and we think she knew that April wasn't feeling too well.

The fact she left to have a snooze in another bed is good news!

Looking over to them I see they are back together again.

Freddy and Wendy are also sharing the same bed, so, everything is peace and quiet at the moment!
