He's Back and we're in trouble!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!


Well, he didn't get home until one thirty this morning!


We gave him a big wet slobbery welcome lick then cuddled up and went to sleep!


He has been sleeping for most of the day 'cos he got held up by a motorway accident that kept him stationary for over four hours!


Old Two Legs wasn't happy about that but pleased he wasn't involved!


Now, we are in trouble 'cos we didn't get to the laptop to say...........................................

The Missus has been taking us out today, so as normal, no photos!

OTL says that after he has had a good nights sleep, he'll get the camera out again, just for us!

All the ferrets were tickled pink to see OTL again and little April has been taking her meds and now is climbing up the side of Fred and Wendy's cage, trouble is, she then gets stuck and can't climb down again!

So, that is a 'Rescue Job' for TM or \OTL!

Fred and Wendy are spending more time cuddled up together but we have noticed that she still likes to give his ear a nibble!

We are off to give OTL another cuddle now.

He's Homeward Bound!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy (Mr Fabulous) de Ferret!

We're all back again!

The Missus is getting very good with the Ferret Family, she has chased May around the Living Room, separated April and Freddy when they were squaring up for a fight. Then she rescued Wendy from getting too violent with Freddy when all he wanted to do was make baby ferrets!

Of course, Holly and I are the best behaved Woofers in the house!

Today we have been up in the village hall with the Glue Slappers. Holly went around trying to mug anyone who even looked like they had brought sandwiches!

I decided to hang back and wait to be invited!

We read that Old Two Legs managed to catch the ship and landed in Scrabster in a blinding snow storm, so no chance of any photos!

OTL reckons it was either raining or snowing all the way to Perth!

So, not to disappoint you we have selected a couple of 'Street Pictures' from yesterday!

Needed, two old ladies brushing the steps!

Two Mini TL's and a flea ridden woofer needed for this one!

OTL reckons what he needed was a scrawny looking dog, having a good scratch and behind him a couple of mini two legs in short trousers and jumpers with holes in the elbows!

Trouble was, the mini TL's were all sitting at home, out of the rain, watching satellite TV!

We will be waiting up at the bedroom window tomorrow, waiting for OTL to arrive!

Missing OTL!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and The Wunderful Freddy de Ferret!

Today has been one of those 'Oh No!' days, you know, wake up and 'Oh No!' Holly has eaten my carrot! Then you roll over on the bed and 'Oh No!' The Missus is still in bed and there is no room to stretch out!

Then you go out the front door for a walk and 'Oh No!' It's Raining!

Back home you head for the kitchen for some food and 'Oh No!' it's Doggy Scoff!

Back up to bed only to find 'Oh No!' Holly has pinched your favourite bit on Old Two Legs side of the bed!

Mind you, the ferrets were all in a good mood, Freddy and Wendy have been chasing each other around all over the house and Freddy has been rolling around on the floor with Wendy jumping on him!

May and April have been play fighting as well, April has been back to her old self although her intake of food isn't as high as OTL would like but you just can't force her to eat!

Still, OTL will be home on Sunday, so he can have a word with her and see what can be done!

Holly and I will be glad to see him back and then we can get cuddle at night when we go to bed.

OTL and Alun have been exploring the town of Stromness today and the streets look so very narrow, a real old maritime town!

 OTL made this one look like an old photo but he had to rub out the telephone line!

 Then Alun found the Khyber Pass and insisted he takes a picture. Mind you, they both kept their eyes open for the Berbers!

 Down the very end of the street was an old well that has been in use for hundreds of years and the notice tells of some famous ships that loaded up their water barrels from it!

Just water, no beer or grog!

In the afternoon OTL went off investigating Iron Age Buildings and boring stuff like that! Mind you, he did see four Grey Seals playing about in the water just in front of the car!

OTL has now packed up all his dirty washing and will be heading home tomorrow, well, the first part of the journey. They will overnight in Perth then back home on Sunday.

The Missus says that she is looking forward to OTL coming back 'cos she is fed up with Poo Pots and she has heard that OTL will be bringing a Woolly Jumper that was made with the fleece from Doris The Sheep!

OTL says you can still sniff the sheep in the wool!

OTL's Dream Came True!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and the cuddly Freddy de Ferret!

It's been good today, sunshine and good food! We got chicken this morning, all tasty and not 'Caramelized'!

There has been loads of young Two Legs running around, so it must be half term! I don't mind them so much but why must they make so much noise? I mean, they make more noise than Holly on a bad day!

We had a word with Old Two Legs who is still on Orkney. He told us about him seeing the Aurora last night and getting frozen by standing in the garden for hours taking photos!

 OTL says that he has waited all his life to see the lights!

Getting excited now!

 The only thing missing was the 'Curtains of Light'

There is a little curtain on the left hand side.

 So, we have a 'Happy Puppy' who now has seen the lights. What we want to know is 'How long before he comes home?' All us woofers are missing our cuddles, especially the ferrets. I mean, The Missus is OK but OTL just has the knack!

Today he went off again and stopped at places along the coast to photograph the waves, and do they look big!

 He also said he saw 'The Old Man of Hoy', who ever he is!

In the photo he can be seen poking his head around the cliff to see OTL!

 OTL then says he went up to see Lord Kitchener's Monument, but there was no one there, except a couple of rabbits that OTL says were almost as big as Holly and I!

OTL says that they had to walk about two miles to get there and when they did get there, it was empty, no one was at home!

So, that is about it today, TM didn't take any photo's of us, so blame her!

It's a good job OTL has sent some down to us or it will be just writing and that does get a bit boring sometimes!

Is it an Orcadian Druid?

Hi Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and The Star, Freddy de Ferret!

It has been cold down here, a bit of sun shine but later came the clouds and at the moment we are all agreed that 'in doors' is the place to be!

Little April had a coughing fit this morning but The Missus sorted her out with a cuddle and a slurp, just like Old Two Legs does when he is here!

The only problem was, she had the coughs when Freddy was out of the cage and of course Miss April wanted to go and sort him out!

TM had a panic moment as she tried to scoop April back up before World War III started!

All was well in the end and every one is in their own beds snoozing their tails off!

We heard from OTL that he has been our among the stones again!

First of all there were the Standing Stones of Stenness, all very mysterious and dark!

 In the middle there was this strange looking stone, OTL thinks it could be either and alter stone or the dinner table!

Grub Up?

 Alone the road a bit was a bigger stone circle called The Ring of Brodgar which also looked very dark and mysterious!

 OTL took a number of pictures and then, just out of curiosity, he went to the very centre of the ring and found this!

Strange?

What was even stranger, there appeared a strange looking Geezer that OTL says was the 'Barmy Druid of Brodgar but we reckon it was Uncle Alun!

Another place they stopped at was the Italian Chapel, built by Italian prisoner of war in WW II.

OTL reckons it was an amazing sight especially as it was made from scrap bits of wood and stuff 'Found' by the prisoners!

On the way back to the B&B he managed to stop off at the Distillery in Kirkwall, just to look at the buildings, or so he says!

No, we don't believe him either!

Windy Weather and OTL goes under ground!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and The Famous Freddy de Ferret here again!

Down here in Sunny North Kent it has been cold, I mean Freeze your Tail Off cold!

We didn't stay out too long this morning 'cos we were looking forward to our Lambs Heart which was a better option than sniffing!

Mind you, there were some interesting sniffs and we did have time to show off our flying Jackets!

It has a trace of Horse but with a Woofer Twang!

We didn't hang about 'cos The Missus wanted to do her 'Walking Fast' exercise up and down the path!

Come on, get a move on she is nearly caught us up!

OTL on the other paw has been out in the howling wind and rain, He has visited a Burial Mound and gone inside to see Runes, who ever he is!

Then he went to a sunken village that was around two thousand year BC!

When we find out what BC is we expect to be even more impressed!

The famous bit he says is the Tall Boy, a sort of ancient bit of furniture

No Veneer in here!

Then he visited another old building that the Estate Agent said was 'In need of some attention'!

An investment opportunity?

 Then he went to see the sea and I don't mind telling you, he can keep it! We don't want waves that big down here!

So that is it for today, the ferrets are looking forward to OTL coming back 'cos they are missing their walk and TM says that there is no way she is taking them out 'cos they would only get into trouble fighting the Weasels!

He has got there!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and dear old Freddy de Ferret!

He's not old really but he does bumble along sometimes!

Well, what first? Miss April has had some of her medication reduced and it seems to have not affected her at all, she is still bouncing around all over the place. Miss May tends to stay awake longer but then, she doesn't have a 'Heart Condition'!

The vet says she could last for years or months, he really doesn't know! We will all keep our claws crossed for the 'Years' option!

We have heard that Old Two Legs has arrived at the B&B on Orkney and is off to have an early night 'cos he is feeling a little jaded!

He says that he came across some snow as they went through the Cairngorms!

Just a little snowy!

 Alun was doing some map reading and was always on hand to indicate which way to go!

Try that way, it's down hill!

 While those two were playing with the snow, down here in sunny North Kent, Holly and I were having fun winding The Missus up!

You see we would both stop and look intently down the path
, then we did our 'Low Grumble', which normally means 'Big Trouble!'

The while TM is looking down the path, we would run off leaving her looking all serious!
 

OK, all together, Grrrrrrrrrrr!

 Once we did it then both ran off to a particularly good sniff that was ripe for rolling in!

The only problem, TM was just too close!

Do you reckon we could get a roll in before she notices?

 One thing about OTL going away, it gets a bit lonely on the bed at night and I miss giving his ear a lick around three in the morning!

I reckon that Holly and I will make up for it when he gets back!

OK, we are off to bed now 'cos TM has put his old jacket on the bed and that still has his sniff on it!

Half Way There!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Mr Freddy de Ferret!

Well, he has just called in, he has arrived at the hotel and is all set up in the room. Old Two Legs memory is getting bad and he has already forgotten all the turns and corridors he has to take to get down to the restaurant!

I hope he doesn't starve! We wouldn't want our OTL to fade away!

We have been having fun here with The Missus, you see she doesn't do the walking and cage cleaning, that is OTL's job.

Until now!

Normally OTL takes his breakfast in with the ferrets and while they have their milk, he has his rabbit food. Then there is Aprils meds and May has to have her slurp of Ferretone and a bit of Chicken Strip torn into pieces so she can hide it at the back of the drawer!

TM don't know this!

So we are in a steep learning curve and this morning TM got her breakfast around eleven thirty!

Cage cleaning was fun as well, TH was on her knees with her head in the cage when Miss May comes tearing up to her and gives her a playful nip on the arm.

TM banged her head on the cage roof!

TM called May a rude name!

Freddy is taking an interest in Wendy and has jumped onto her back and held her down by the scruff, which is a sort of ferret 'Chat Up Line'!

Wendy hasn't come into season yet but maybe Freddy can sniff something in the air!

Mind you, he has lost his 'Ferret Bits' so Wendy is safe'ish!

OTL has made arrangements to have Wendy 'Done' when she comes into season, which, according to Freddy's nose, won't be long!

Holly and I have been up at the window keeping an eye on all the cars out the front of the house and giving them the 'Hairy Eyeball' so they won't park there when OTL comes home!

Mind you, it would be nice if he had come around the corner! 

We can always get Nipper to rip the tyres off!

Holly has got a bit of a Grumbly Tum but it didn't stop her from eating all her chicken and follow it up with a nibble of a carrot!

Don't even think about it Sis!

 So, all is well and OTL has 'Landed' at the hotel and has 'Reported in'. He says that he has driven through snow and sleet and that there is snow on the hills.

Well, he can keep the snow up there until he comes home 'cos TM doesn't like driving in the snow and that would mean we just get a short walk around the farmers field!

TM has promised to take some more pictures tomorrow.

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and bringing up the rear, Freddy de Ferret!

It's been a funny old day today, Old Two Legs has been packing up all his gear this morning and of course, we have been helping by falling asleep on his clothes that are piled all over the bed!

We went out for our early morning walk with May but we left April at home 'cos it was too cold!

We had a good game of Dig and Whizz which May is getting just too good at!

April had to go to the vet today for a check up and good news, the Diuretic has been reduced by 50%. The vet was very pleased with the progress she has made and pleased to hear how her 'Get up and Go' has come back!

We have a load more medicine which should keep her going for a month or so. We have to keep a check on her weight and also keep an ear open for her coughing. Claws crossed it will all be OK!

Holly and I got on the weighing machine while we were waiting and I am 8kg while Holly is 10kg!

Holly has got to improve on her diet, she is still too porky!

Not that she would agree, she reckons she is fading away!

It was raining at lunch time so we didn't hang about too long on our walk and Freddy and Wendy decided to stay in their beds!

OTL is taking the laptop with him so we won't be able to do the blog ourselves, but, OTL will be phoning every night, so we will tel him what to put in the blog and who knows, we may even get to see some of his photos!

Mind you, Rock Monoliths are really only good for wee'ing up!

So now that The Missus is back from her Master Class that means OTL can pack up his stuff into the car and head off to Alun's where he will be staying the night before heading off to Perth which is his first stop.

So, see you tomorrow but we are not too sure what time!

Is there snow on the way? What was in the Blue Bag?

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and don't forget Freddy de Ferret!

As if we could forget Freddy Babe!

Mind you, Wendy got into a bit of a ruckus this morning with Freddy, you see, May and April have been out 'Collecting' stuff and storing it behind the bottom drawer where Old Two Legs keeps his work stuff. This morning they managed to 'Collect' some tasty stuff for eating later.

When it was Fred and Wendy's turn for a rampage around the house, Fred dived into the draw and polished off the Chicken Strips that were stored there, then he started on the brand new Doggy Teeth Cleaning Chew, which he just loves!

Wendy was under the opinion that the Chicken Strips were more than enough for Freddy and she should have first nibble at the chew.

Freddy didn't agree.

Freddy held onto the chew and every time Wendy tried to get it from him, he turned his head and used his rather well endowed butt to shove her away!

Wendy got upset and all hell broke loose!

There was crashing and squeaking and grumbling going on behind the drawer  and the whole bit of furniture was crashing about all over the place!

OTL had to take out the drawers and pull the two apart!

He found Two new Bonio Biscuits, a brand new Teeth Cleaning Chew, two bits of Rawhide chew, several Brambles Biscuits and a squeaky ball hidden there!

Holly and I had the biscuits while Freddy got half of the chew while Wendy got the other half!

The Rawhide chews were left for Holly and I to finish off after lunch!

Down on the beach there was blue sky and sunshine.

but will it stay like this?

Holly has been watching the weather reports and reckons that there could be some snow on high ground. I did point out that we were down at sea level and it shouldn't get to us but Holly said we should make preparations, like, get a shovel out of the shed and order some extra chicken and lambs hearts so we wouldn't run out of food!

Miss May was walking with us up the grass path and said that we were like the three Musketeers, you know, One for All and All for One! 

One for All.........

 OTL said he would be taking his set of Snow Chains he brought last year when he goes on Saturday, I wonder if he knows something we don't?

Lunchtime it was getting a bit colder but Wendy and Freddy got dragged out of a warm bed and marched down to the beach!

Tale of the Blue Bag!

I must admit, even I was glad when we got back in the car and then home to a warm spot under OTL's desk!

Tomorrow we will be helping OTL load everything he will need up in Orkney.
Thermal Underwear, Woolly Socks, Warm Scarf, Two Pairs of Gloves, Three Warm Hats, Two Arctic Coats, Tufty Walking Boots, Three 'Under Coats' and that is without the standard stuff like knickers, shirts, dinner suit bow tie. You know, all the normal stuff! 

Then there is all the camera stuff and not forgetting a shovel!

Almost too much for me!
