And so are we, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

We got up this morning and it was just a little misty type cloudy in the sky but as Old Two Legs said, "It will clear!"

So, off we went down to the beach to see what the sun has brought out!

OTL found a 'Goats Beard' and it is the first one we have seen this year!

First this year!

 Little April spent most of the time in the ferret bag looking over the top and blowing raspberries at Holly and I!

We met up with loads of woofers and of course, OTL was having to carry both May and April 'cos we don't trust any woofer who is off the lead, you know, OTL says that he doesn't even trust us!

So, the Page 3 Girls got to be carried all the way back to the bench before they got a chance to use their paws!

Back home we enjoyed some time in the garden getting some rays.

Lunchtime saw us down the beach again and the tide was at the turn and was just a little too rough to go in for a deep swim, so I just got my paws wet!

This is far enough!

 Mind you, if OTL had thrown a stick I might have had a try to get it!

Maybe, maybe not!

 Fred and Wendy had a rummage around in the Sea Kale and we spotted a third plant that had poked it's head out from the stones on the beach.

In a couple of years we could have the start of a Sea Kale forest!

Because it was so warm Freddy kept on stopping for a breather and of course, he kept on insisting that he needed a carry!

OTL said that Freddy needs exercise so Wendy walked along side him and kept on licking his ear every time he stopped!

Come on Freddy, not far now!

 They were both trotting along and Wendy started to tell Freddy that he was a big strong ferret and Freddy, being a bit of a soppy ferret agreed with her!

'Good' says Wendy, 'you can give me a lift back!

Come on Freddy, get going!

 Poor Freddy, he did try but after about six feet or so he collapsed and rolled over onto his back!

Exhausted!

Back home we all headed for our snoozing bed and both ferrets were asleep in no time flat!

Holly and I decided to hit the garden again enjoy the sun on our tummy!

OTL decided to play around with the Tilt/Shift lens again and chose the pond as a subject!

Yeah, not bad for an amateur!

OK, so, OTL had to black out the table full of socks that were drying on the table and cover up the washing hanging on the rotary clothes line!

Thank gawd for Photoshop!

Amazon delivered the two maps of Yorkshire that OTL ordered the other day and the first thing he did was to see where the caravan site is!

Now we are waiting for the 'Photographer's Guide to the Yorkshire Dales' which has some interesting places to photograph, well, it save him having to wander around looking for these super places!

So, we expect OTL to be studying the maps and planning days and mornings and evenings and maybe a night expedition!

Sounds like it is going to be fun!

TM will also be a 'Happy Bunny' 'cos she has arranged to do a couple of Master Classes that were sold out in twenty four hours!

Right, we are off to see what is for dinner.

It's getting better!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret back here again!

Well, the promised sunshine arrived but late this afternoon, just as The Missus comes back from her 'Master Class' at the village hall!

Tomorrow it is supposed to be burning hot sunshine and a mini heat wave! OK, I suppose I am exaggerating a tiddly bit but there will be sunshine!

Still, down on the beach there was no wind and it was pleasantly warm! Miss May decided to have a go at making a 'sand drawing' of a ferret!

A Big Ferret!

I've got a really god feeling about this picture!

After a while she gave up 'cos she was trying to draw April who just wouldn't stay still!

It's me morning pill kicking in!

 We met up with Bert on his morning walk and Holly said she wasn't going to leave the beach and if he wanted a game then he had to come down onto the beach!

.....but I'm not allowed onto the beach!

 In the end Holly relented and waddled off to say hello!

 Back home we cleaned the ferret cages and while Freddy's cage was being cleaned he and Wendy kept on jumping onto Old Two Legs and playing 'Tickles'!

They start off by sticking their noses into OTL's ear and then run down his back and roll onto the floor waiting for OTL to tickle their tummy's!

Freddy just loves that game and rolls around laughing his whiskers off!

Lunchtime both Freddy and Wendy were fast asleep in their cuddle cup after having a super rampage around the house! So it took some time to get them up out of bed but a cap full of Ferretone soon had them up and running!

The tide was in and with the lack of wind there was a just a gentle swell. Well, I just couldn't resist the call of the sea and was soon splashing around in the water!

Holly was giving me ear ache and telling me I was in deep poo with OTL, but I just didn't care!

Come on out you silly woofer or OTL will see you!

Freddy rushed down to the waters edge and started to blow raspberries at the waves!

He is so brave!

Can't get me! Can't get me! Can't get me! Can't get me!

 Then he was off to the Sea Kale for a roll while OTL found a stick and threw it into the water for me!

No, I'm not going any further!

That didn't please Holly who was still telling me I was in trouble!

It was lucky that back in the car there was one of our Doggy Towels and when we got back I got a good rub down which got rid of all the drips!

Back home we had Doggy Scoff waiting for us and you know what? I was so hungry after my swim that I woofed it all down in one go!

After a little snooze it was time to collect TM from the village hall after the Master Class!

Holly and I stayed at home and kept a watch out of the bedroom window until she and OTL got back.

Now it is waiting time until dinner is served and we get into mugging mode!

Now, what's this about Archie Babe getting a Horse Tablet to chew on? OTL crushes Aprils tablet and mixes it with Lactose Free Milk and some Ferretone and she slurps it all down but if you can't crush it them Archie will just have to chew it!

Keep yer tail up Archie!

The last Grey Day?

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

Well, it didn't rain today, so that is an improvement! OTL says that tomorrow we should see sunshine. So, while The Missus is 'Glue Sloshing' we might be having a swim!

We met up with the gang and had a good game of 'Chase' on the beach. I had a little game but got a bit nervous when the all chased me!

 Of course, when we had to go, guess who decided to 'Do a Freddy'?

No, I ain't going!

 Little April was taking every opportunity to ride in the ferret bag while May insisted on running around and digging!

I just got out of breath, honest!

 Back in the car they both snuggled down into their 'Cuddle Cop' for a snooze on the way home!

Hurry up, we are getting hungry!

 Back home we got a big warm bowl of chicken. Holly was the first into the kitchen and woofed it all down in no time at all!

I went in a bit later and with the door closed, enjoyed a very relaxing meal which was finished off with a very tasty teeth cleaning chew!

Back down on the beach at lunchtime, Freddy started off digging a long trench which Wendy decided to help but really, she just got in the way!

Shift over girl, I'm in the groove!

Both Fred and Wendy love ferreting in the grass and today they both ran all the way back to the car, pausing every twenty feet to have a ferret!

Now that's OK but Wendy was telling Freddy that he was sniffing all the best sniffs  and leaving  the old sniffs for her!

She wasn't going to put up with that and told him off!

...and another thing, leave some sniffs for me!

Freddy always does what he is told, providing it is Wendy who is doing the telling!

OTL has been looking at where we will be going on our autumn holiday and he says that there is a river with stepping stones which should be fun trying to cross!

Holly says she will take the long way around thank you!

Google 'Bolton Abbey' and you will see the stepping stones!

A Dismal Day!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret again!

Now this is just too much! I mean, it's June and it should be all hot and sunny!

Grey upon Grey!

Old Two Legs says that there should be some sunshine on Sunday and Monday but before that we have got rain on Saturday, maybe even some thunder. Friday is not going to be any better than today!

Oh Doom and Gloom!

We couldn't go in swimming so instead Holly and I played 'Hide n Seek' with May and April and you know, they are blooming good! All they need to do is wriggle under the grass and they just disappear!

Holly and I had to give up in the end!

I can't see them at all!

Back home we retired to OTL's office and had our morning snooze!

Lunchtime we were out again and this time with Fred and Wendy. They both had a dig in the sand and a good sniff in the sea weed. We then headed up the grass path and Freddy had a little dig in the grass and Wendy just dived in and was ferreting about and said that there was something wriggling around in the undergrowth!
 

There is something in here!

 In the end she lost whatever it was, we reckon it was just her pushing the grass about!

Of course, after doing a little dig, Freddy Boy decided that he was 'all worn out' and the cheeky lad tried to get me to give him a lift!

No, You Walk, like the rest of us!

 Then, not getting a lift he 'fell over' and said he was in terrible pain from the 'sore paw' !

Miss Wendy was up to all his tricks and launched herself at him and tickled him with her claws!

No! Oh No! It Tickles!

 That sorted him out and he had to run all the way back to the car!

Mind you, while he was doing his tricks, I found a super sniff and I just couldn't resist it!

Holly said I would be in trouble but it was just too good to pass up!

I don't care, I NEED a Roll!

 Back home we were given a teeth cleaning chew, so Holly and I settled down to have a nibble before we start mugging OTL for his dinner!

So, paws crossed for the rain to keep away and the sun to arrive on Sunday!

Let's get back to a proper June!

It's another Damp Day!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here again!

Well, today is the first day of June, Flaming June, Hot and Sticky June, put your sun hat on June, not freeze your tail off June!

Just wot is happening? There we were expecting balmy breezes and blazing sunshine and instead Old Two Legs is looking at Outdoor Professional Clothing on the Internetty Whotssit!

It had just stopped raining when we went out this morning but there were big puddles all over the place, mind you OTL loves driving through the puddles!

When we got to the car park we met up with young Dave the Westie. We chased a couple of rabbits, had a sniff and a wee and off he went to walk along the Sea Wall with his Two Legs. We gathered up May and April and headed off to the grass path!

 Down on the beach Miss May got going on a hole but Miss April said she didn't fancy sand today and please can she have the grass!

No, I'm not in the mood to dig today!

 We could see that Dave was chatting to a couple of woofers down the Sea Wall a bit, so we gathered up the ferrets and headed for the grass!

Come on, we have time to get up on the grass path!

 Both May and April had a great time digging in the grass and getting muddy paws! OTL says that digging helps keep their claws to the correct length and the short walk on the concrete path just takes the points off as well!

Back home we got presented with Doggy Scoff, not the normal Pigs Poo but The Missus said this was an 'Up Market' Scoff. Well, as I hadn't had much yesterday I decided to give it a go and surprisingly it wasn't too bad, so I finished it all and even licked the bowl!

After eating our scoff, TM gives Holly and I a 'Treat' and today was no exception, when I finished I got a large lump of Chicken Fillet but Holly didn't. She didn't eat her scoff, so she didn't get a treat.

Holly Chops was not a happy puppy and proceeded to rob me of my Chicken Fillet!

There was loads of grumbling and growling and in the end TM had to take the Fillet off Holly, lock me away with OTL in his office and give me my Chicken Fillet to eat on my own!

I didn't mind in the slightest, in fact I made loud lip smacking noises so that Holly, who was sitting outside the door, could hear me enjoying the Chicken Fillet!

Holly was not a 'Happy Puppy', not that I cared!

Lunchtime Freddy and Wendy were down on the beach with us and although Holly was still showing off, we all had a good game of 'Dig and Whizz'!

Who whizzed over the top then?

 Freddy was amazed just how much the Sea Kale plant had grown and another Sea Kale Plant was growing as well!

Soon we will have Sea Kale all over the beach, unless someone comes and 'Tidy the Beach Up' and digs them up!

It's getting bigger every day!

The puddles were still as big as they were this morning and one soppy TL was jumping in and out of the puddle with her Bozo of a Labrador who just loves puddles!

OTL was going to drive through the puddle and throw water up all over the car but decided that the TL wouldn't like getting too wet, so he drove very slowly through the puddle and just washed the wheels of the car!

Go on, put yer foot down!

 Freddy was jumping up and down and shouting for OTL to make a big splash!

Naughty Freddy!

We reckon that Archie Babes Boy has got over to his destination by now and Mum can breath again!

Does that mean Archie Babe will get first choice of the cushions on the sofa?

What is all this about Hamish and Izzy climbing mountains? OTL used to do that but now he is getting too old and too much of a liability and no one will go with him, so that means we have to make do with the rocky bits down the bottom of the mountains!

That is one thing about living down the south, we get the best weather but there are no mountains, just silly hills!

Next holiday is North Yorkshire, are there any mountains in Yorkshire?

Wet, Windy and Not Summery!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

Wot a day!

We had a look at Old Two Legs weather thingy whatsit this morning and saw we had some dark and wet looking clouds heading our way today!

The weather forecast on the TV showed we had some nasty wet winds heading down into North Kent!

What we didn't like was the forecaster telling us that the rest of the UK was all sunshine and balmy breezes!

We knew we were in trouble when OTL got the lead out and our rain coats. He didn't even get the ferrets out and in their travelling cage but rather he put them back in their beds!

Holly and I were not too happy about going out and it took OTL a while to get us into the car!

When we got to the car park it was bucketing down and we had to stay on our lead until we got right around the corner into our 'Pooing Grounds'!

The wind was howling and the rain was horizontal and from the north!

After I had 'Done my Thing' I wanted to go back to the car but OTL said we couldn't go back until Holly had finished her 'Business'!

So, all the time I was whispering to her 'come on, get it done and we can go home' but you know how it is, when someone is looking at you, you just can't go!

In the end Holly Dog managed it and as soon as OTL had filled the poo bag we were off back to the car at a fast trot!

We got a rub down with our towels and OTL had to drive home soaking wet!

That will teach him!

Lunchtime was no better, it was still raining but not so hard and OTL spotted a gap so off we went.

We had brought Fred and Wendy along with us and even they didn't hang about when OTL put them on the sandy beach. A quick sniff, a little dig and then it was a case of 'Two Fast Flying Ferrets' all the way back to the car!

As you would imagine, OTL left the camera at home 'cos it was just too wet to even think about taking it with us!

You know we got 30mm of rain today and the strongest wind gust was 44.2 km/h!

He gets a bit boring with his weather machine, as Holly says, 'Stick your nose out the door and you can tell if it's raining!'

Tomorrow it looks like rain here as well, so we are hoping that our rain coats get dry overnight!

Sorry there are no pictures, maybe tomorrow!

Wash and a Splosh today!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

Dunno what it has been like where you are but down here it has been grey, windy and a bit chilly!

Not the sort of weather we were expecting for our Bank Holiday!

First thing down on the beach we didn't feel too much like taking a swim, well Holly doesn't do swimming anyway! The tide was in and the wind was coming in from the North Sea, so you know what that means!

It's a bit draughty here!

We didn't hang about for too long 'cos Old Two Legs had made us an appointment with the Poodle Parlour for this morning. We arrived to be told that the Two Legs who normally cuts our hair is not going to be doing it after next month and there would be a new TL, and, the price is going up!

Well we had to hold OTL up against the counter for support, poor lad came over all faint and wobbly!

He said that he may invest in a new water hose and some dog clippers and have a bash himself!

We will wait and see what sort of job the new TL does!

Lunchtime OTL was down the beach with Freddy and Wendy and OTL was using the Point and Shoot camera with a built in zoom lens and he took a picture of the wind generated electric turbines that hadn't been finished yet.

It's windy but these things were not moving yet!

 Both Freddy and Wendy had never seen wind powered turbines before and just stood and stared at them. Wendy asked why they weren't going around like wot they are supposed to be doing. Freddy just stood there saying that they were 'Just Too Large'

It's just too big man!

OTL says that he will try to take a picture and make it look like the blades are bending in the wind, but first, they have got to be going around!

Mid afternoon OTL came and rescued us from the Parlour so Holly and I were out in the car like a shot!

We both sniff like a Tarts Handbag and Holly even said that she wouldn't mind OTL having a go at giving her trim!

Yeah, I'm waiting to see what sort of job the new TL does before going committing myself!

Sunny Sunday!

Yo Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here again!

Well, today has been fun, the rain has stayed away from our part of the country and we have missed all the thunder and lightening!

Holly was glad about that 'cos she doesn't like loud bangs or stuff like that!

Miss Wendy discovered the TV that Old Two Legs has mounted on the office wall. Something caught her eye and she just stood there, on top of the post weighing machine, looking at the screen!

Wossat?

 Now I can see the screen and will woof at anything that looks like a woofer or a sheep or bears and stuff like that!

Now I've got a mate, Wendy can also see them!

Holly, Freddy, May and April say that we are dreaming but we know what we can see!

May is a right pickle 'cos she is really getting into having a roll in some ferret type sniffs!

Super Rolling Sniff here!

Wot upsets Holly and me is OTL doesn't tell her off, he just lets her roll in the sniff!

Favouritism!

The morning was spent cleaning out the bedding and food crumbs from both ferrets houses!

Lunchtime OTL had settled down to watch the F1 Racing but just before the race started I got this terrible urge to have a wee.

So, off we went, leaving the race to get going without OTL! He is so understanding!

Wendy and Freddy had a game with OTL, some times they were walking through the long grass and sometimes Freddy tried the old 'Sore Paw' trick!

Oh it hurts, honest!

OTL was in a good mood and he let them ride in the ferret bag and of course, they kept looking out to see what was going on!

Can I get out for a wee please?

Mind you, he made them walk back from the bench on top of the hill!

Tomorrow OTL says that we have an appointment with the poodle parlour so it's a good job the weather is warm and sunny 'cos we don't like cold draughts blowing up your tail!

Two weeks and the plants have grown high!

Yo Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

The weather down here can't make up it's mind! It was all cloudy and full of rain this morning but this afternoon it has been sunshine!

The ferrets started off doing what they normally do while Old Two Legs has his breakfast.

May goes off to search for chicken strips she has hidden in the office while April enjoys her medicines, all in one glass bowl!

This just tastes Soooo Gooood!

 On our way to the beach we noticed just how tall the weeds have grown and on top of that they all had flowers!

There's ferret in there!

 When we got to the beach we noticed that there were four of those Whirly Gig things on the Sheppey banks!

Two of them were ready to go while the other two were in the process of being assembled!

Something new on the horizon!

 The ferrets had a great time catching up on the sniffs on the beach and digging some new holes!

I love a good hole!

 Miss April prefers the grass to the sand, so she was glad to get some serious ferreting when we got to the grass path!

This is the best bit!

 While we were out The Missus headed for the village hall to join the Crafty Bunch!

Back home there was chicken bits, (legs and thighs) and we stuffed our chops!

Lunchtime we were out again after OTL had done all the cleaning of the cages and changing the bedding and sleeping bags!

Freddy and Wendy just love a good dig, when we were on holiday they both opened up a scout tent peg hole until it looked like a rat hole!

So, a bit of sand is no problem!

Well, it could be a sandy rat hole!

 I found a sniff and just had to celebrate by having a good roll! Holly Chops was very dismissive and said that I should 'Behave Myself!'

Oh Really, you as just too much!

 Mind you, after I got up and wandered off I did spot that Holly had a quick roll!

What the heck!

 Miss Wendy was having fun but she decided that she would dig but not roll on the sand!

No rolling for me!

 Both ferrets found that the sea kale plant had been growing while we had been away and they both had fun rolling in the new leaves!

This is the best fun!

 On the way back home Freddy and Wendy went to say hello to the Crafty Bunch in the village hall and got cuddled and kissed by TL's who have had ferrets of their own and new TL's who have never seen a ferret before!

They were both very gentle with the TL's and Wendy did some licking while Freddy got cuddles and his tummy tickled!

So, we left them doing their thing and headed back home for a snooze!

We are not sure what is happening tomorrow but OTL had a Kofti Kebab this evening and that means we will see him fighting the angels over the Single Malt Whisky he brought back from Scotland!

Back Home!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret are back home!

What a drive! Well most of the time it was just Old Two Legs who was awake, everyone else was snoring their tails off!

We have just unloaded the caravan and there is a whacking great pile of stuff just inside the front door!

I hope it all gets sorted before the morning or we will be climbing all over it to get out for a wee!
 The ferrets are glad to be back in their cages again, a lot bigger than the holiday cages and full of familiar sniffs as well!

The Missus is off to their Card Making Cardy Thong Thingy tomorrow and the cards they will be making goes to Demelza House where they are sold to visitors to make some money to help pay for stuff.

There is also plans for a donation for the Harrietsham Ferret Centre, so that can't be bad!

TM has been on FaceAche catching up with the gossip and we hear that Archie Babe has got his tail up this weekend and is giving cuddles to his Two Legs who need a reason to hold their tails up!

Also, we have brought back the Raccoon we got from Auntie  Sue, he spent most of the holiday having his squeaker chewed! You know he even hid under OTL's pillow!

We are off for an early night, so, bye bye for now and see you all tomorrow!
