It's still Cold and Drafty!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, it's not Summer yet and here in North Kent it is a bit drafty! The wind coming in off the North Sea has been blowing us back to the car in double quick time!

Mind you, the sun has been trying to warm us up and it works when we are out of the wind and tucked up behind some bushes!

Unfortunately, there are not too many bushes along the Sea Wall!

Still, Holly and I had a game of Dig and Whizz which helped to keep us warm!

 Being a lot shorter than Old Two Legs, we took advantage of the plants to break up the wind but it only worked when the path wasn't in the same direction as the wind!

That's better, not so drafty here!

 Poor Ferrets decided it was too cold to have a run about and spent a lot of time trying to get back into the ferret bag around OTL's neck!

I can't move, my tail has fallen off!

 OTL didn't believe him!

Holly Chops said that it looked rather pretty looking out across the estuary and sat on the beach looking at the view while waiting for the ferrets to catch up!

Back home OTL was back into working again and set about the pile of paperwork that had accumulated over Easter. Most of it was invoices but one envelope contained wot he calls a 'Tax Return', yep, it's that time of the year again!

Wot Happened to the Sun?

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret back again!

Wot a change in the weather! I mean, it was sunny yesterday and acting just like a warm spring day but today it has been almost wintry!

No, it's not B&W it's colour!

 You can tell by the photo of Sheerness, we have had better Easter Mondays! Why is it they keep changing the date of Easter, like, I mean, Easter seems to be decided by the first full moon after the beginning of the month providing there is an 'L' in the month and two days after the first Swallow is seen heading back to Scotland to breed!

I have an idea, let's have Easter in the middle of April every year, then we won't get confused!

Mind you, it was that cold, Holly and I were dashing up and down the beach to keep warm!

A Warmed Up Low Flying Puppy!

It was just the same at out lunchtime walk except that it was Miss May who was asking Old Two Legs for a lift and a warm cuddle!

OTL was horrible, he made her walk all the way back to the car but at least she was warm by the time she got back!

Let's hope tomorrow is better, you know OTL had to wear his Winter Jacket down the beach, he should be in short sleeves and sandals!

He's Back! He's Back! He's Back! He's Back! He's Back! He's Back! He's Back!

Yo Woofers!

Here we are, back again!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Well, wot a time we have had over the last few days! Remember that Old Two Legs and Cousin Alun headed off to Scotland to visit the Culloden Battle Field just a couple of days before the 'Real Anniversary'. Well the had an eventful trip up to begin with. When they got to Stafford the car decided to break one of the ABS sensors which, as you all know, has something to do with the brakes and with no brakes, serious things can happen!

So, they pulled into Stafford and found a Mercedes centre and managed to get the car in for an emergency repair. It took about four hours to get it all done and soon they were back on the road again, with OTL's credit card a little deeper in debt!

Alun was thinking of using his credit card, but Auntie Glynis told him off, so he didn't!

She has said I can't have it!

Instead of getting to the B&B at four in the afternoon, they didn't get there until eight!

OTL and Alun decided to visit Fort George, which was just down the road and this has often been seen on the TV, so a visit was a rare treat!

It's a long walk to the Guard House!

 OTL was looking around and decided he would one day, like to return either at sunrise or sun set to capture the light against the fort walls

Now, what we need is a sunset!

 The whole fort was in very good condition 'cos it is still in use as the home of the Black Watch, 3rd Battalion, Royal Regiment of Scotland.

We can almost hear the Bag Pipes!

After Fort George they headed of to Culloden and had three trips around the battle field and one guided tour of the visitors centre. Two of the trips around the battle field were guided trips with the first describing the actual battle and the last telling the build up to the battle.

OTL had visited the battle field about thirty years ago and had told us of the strange feeling there was as he and The Missus had walked around. However, now they have a big posh visitors centre, some of the feeling had gone and it seemed to be more of a tourist site than a War Grave, which it is.

In the battle there were only fifty of the Loyalist killed.

It was only when they had walked down to the Jacobite battle line did some of the hairs on the back of OTL's neck begin to stand up!

Jacobite battle losses were over one thousand five hundred, many more were hunted down and killed after the battle.

This is the last battle on British soil.
 
While all this battle field visiting and history lessons was going on, Holly and I couldn't play on the computer 'cos there was no password on the laptop. We thought that OTL had forgotten but no, it was because he was changing ISP and chose the time when he was away for it to change over and get all sorted. So, now he is back, ISP has settled in and 'POW' it's all working and even the email is there!

Yesterday OTL told us he had spent twelve hours driving, nearly seven hundred miles to get back home.

Of course, when he got in we gave him the 'Woofers Welcome' and dived into his bags to see what presents he had brought us! TM got some special 'Celtic Knot Steel Stencils' for TM and for Holly and I, we got some Smackeroos Beef strips which tasted great!

You know, even the ferrets enjoyed them as well! Well, we had to share them 'cos there wasn't too many ferret type presents in Scotland!

On the way back they came down the A1 road 'cos there was terrible traffic hold ups on the M1 and M6 which held them up but coming back the road was busy but no traffic jams!

Today we had the children and grand children visit and to collect their Easter Eggs!

Now, I'm not too much into small Two Legs, especially ones that want to chase me or keep pulling my fur. I get sort of scared and tend to woof at them, so OTL had both Holly and me under his 'Protection' and cuddled us. I must admit, I did have one 'woof' when little Megan made me jump, but, no damage, to me or Megan!

So, now OTL is back, all he wants to do is sleep! It will be an early night tonight, after a small slurp of Single Malt from the new whisky glass he purchased from Culloden Visitor Centre!

See you all tomorrow and OTL says that chocolate is not good for woofers, so we have got to stay away from the choccy eggs!

He's Gone!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Wot a change from yesterday! The clouds are rolling in and we have heard that there is rain up in Scotland!

Just where OTL is going!

No chance of sun burn today!

 Freddy and Wendy were out with us first thing and even they said it was chilly, you know it took ages for Freddy to get moving and it wasn't until Wendy gave him a shove that he started to use his legs!

Come on Freddy, shift yer tail!

Lunchtime was just the same except for the visitors who came to see the Sea Wall. Of course there were strange woofers as well, so Old Two Legs had to keep his eyes open to make sure none of them got too close to the ferrets!

Too Many Two Legs!

 We spotted a whacking great crab on the shore, much bigger than the ones we normally see. OTL decided to take a quick picture and asked Holly if she would stand next to it to show it's size.

Holly said she would rather stand in a cage of ferrets that get near the crab 'cos the pincers looked rather dangerous!

Just visiting mate, just visiting!

 May and Eric were having a great time diving in and out of the undergrowth and at one point stopped so OTL could take a picture!

OK, Make it quick, we're on a Mission!

Now OTL has packed all his stuff and we waved him 'Good Bye' from the bedroom window. It was then that Holly asked if he had left the password for the laptop where we do our blog. He hadn't!

So that means as soon as we hit the 'Publish' button, the laptop closes down and 'Poof' that's us 'Off Line' until he comes home!

So we will have to wait until he gets back!

We were interested in the thousands of tea pots, do you think they ever get used or are they just for show?

 Today has been just great!

Old Two Legs had to go out very early this morning to get two new tyres for the big car. That means The Missus was up early to take Holly and I out for our morning walk. We had to leave the ferrets at home but they didn't mind 'cos they said they wanted to catch up on their sleep!

We met The Two Bob Woofers and TM got to give them both a stroke!

Of course, unlike OTL, TM didn't take her camera, so you have all missed out on some super photos!

Lunchtime OTL got back with his new tyres fitted and took us down the beach.

On the way down to the beach OTL called me to him and then took my harness off me.

That is the sign that I can go in for a swim!

Look! I'm a Beach Babe!

 It was great fun chasing after a stick that OTL was throwing into the water for me! Then getting back to shore I would ride a wave all the way back!

Surfing Super Pup!

Eric was on the beach watching me strut my stuff !

I reckon it was him who was loosing out even if he did want to have a snooze on the sand!

You look a right mess!

 Of course, Holly Chops decided to catch a few rays while I caught the waves!

There is nothing so cool as resting on the beach!

 Holly had to go to the vet 'cos she has got an infection in her eyes, it's call conjunctivas.

She showed off rotten in the vet and OTL had to hold her while the vet put the drops in her eyes.

It's going to be fun tonight when she has to have her next dose!

Now, we have discovered that OTL is going to be away for a couple of days, he is off to Scotland with his cousin Alun.

This time they have decided to visit the battle site called Culloden.

It should be fun especially as the forecast is rain, rain and a bit more rain!

That leaves us with TM to take us out for our walks. The ferrets won't get a walk 'cos TM just can't handle four of us at once!

So, it looks like the ferrets will get the run of the house twice a day!

May nearly gets wet!

Hi Woofers!

We're back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Well, it is not as warm as yesterday, in fact it seemed a little chilly this morning but Old Two Legs said it was because of the 'Chill Factor'!

That means it feels colder because the wind is blowing in off the sea.

Well, at least we can see Sheerness!

 What I wanted to know is, why didn't the heating come on this morning like wot it normally does? I mean, six is the time it comes on and it manages to warm OTL's towel so when he comes out of the shower, there is a warm towel to dry all his bits!

Let's hope nothing is broken!

Lunchtime it warmed up a bit and the ferrets had fun on the beach. Miss May was playing about when a big wave sloshed up onto the beach and wet her paws!

I've never seen a ferret jump so high!

We did notice that Eric stayed well away from the water!

Yikes! That was blooming cold!

 Holly Chops was walking on the beach looking at the sea and shaking her head.

You won't get me in there!

 Miss May had a brilliant idea, she said that if she dug a really big and deep hole then all the sea would go down the hole and disappear and none of us would get our paws wet!

She set about digging the hole but after a while got fed up with digging and decided she would look into hiring a big mechanical digger instead of wearing her claws away!

I can hear some one shouting 'G'Day Cobber'

 Holly decided to retire to the Sea Wall and do one of her 'Poses' just for OTL to take her picture.

I mean, wot a show off!

Now, do I look good or wot?

This afternoon OTL left us at home and went off hunting some new tyres for the big car. It seems that the tyres are a little rare so he has had to order them for delivery tomorrow around eight in the morning.

That means The Missus will be taking us out, Holly and me that is, not the ferrets!

She isn't as clever as OTL in looking after two ferrets and two woofers at the same time!

Let's hope the rain stays away or we will have to have a wee in the garden!

A Seriously Sunny Sunday!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

You know, the things we do for The Missus, just so she can have a fun time!

Take today, there we were being woken up at four in the morning while TM was stomping all over the house, switching on lights, banging pots and pans and running up and down the stairs and crashing around in her store room full of crafty junk!

It got to five and we gave up trying to sleep.

Old Two Legs got up and had his shower and washed his bald spot then got the breakfast ready for him and the ferrets.

So, there we were off down to the Sea Wall for our very early morning walk and both Fred and Wendy were still half asleep as they wandered along the beach!

I don't know where we are, open your eyes and have a look!

 We got back and after doing some tidying OTL got the car out and took Auntie Shelia and TM off to the train station 'cos they were off to Ally Pally for a day of flashing the credit card and gassing!

Lunchtime we were back down the beach again but our normal car park was jam packed with visitors and there was nowhere to park!

OTL, being a sneaky TL parked up in the 'Overflow' car park across the other side of the football pitch!

May and Eric just got all spaced out 'cos there were no bushes to dive into for a wee!

So where are the bushes?

 This was a bit of a worry to Eric 'cos like me, he likes to hide away when  he has a wee out doors!

No Bushes! This is getting scary and I need a wee!

 Lucky for them, and me, OTL took us around a different path and we ended up on our normal path. So Eric got his private wee and I got to cover my tail in the pants as well!

Bet you can't see us in the bushes!

There were loads of TL's on the beach together with their woofers. I went down onto the beach then went in for a deep paddle followed by a swim! Holly, OTL and the ferrets stayed up on the Sea Wall away from any trouble while I got a couple of TL's to throw stones in the water for me to chase!

There were a couple of woofers on the beach who didn't like getting their paws wet, a bit like Holly Chops, and one of them dropped a ball into the water then wouldn't go in and get it. So, me being a good little woofer, went in, picked it up and brought it back to the beach where the woofers picked it up!

OTL and the ferrets wanted to go play in the bushes so I got called off the beach, even though I was covered in sand that had stuck to me when I rolled in the sand to get dry!

Back on the football field the ferrets had a little run around while Holly and I sniffed the sniffs!

Back home OTL was playing on the computer trying to get the Internetty thing to work and the Email to go to the right place but after spending all afternoon doing that and uploading TM's video, he didn't get anything sorted. So it was just as well when he got the telephone call from TM to go and pick her and Auntie Shelia up from the station!

Tonight OTL has been promised a Kofti Kebab, so Holly and I are preparing for some serious mugging 'cos we have spotted the tin of Doggy Scoff on the kitchen work surface!

It wasn't our fault!

Hi Woofers!

We're back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Sorry about yesterday, we had this super exciting tale to tell with loads of pictures and stuff like that but when I came to put it all down on the blog..............the blog was broken!

Like Google was messing about and we couldn't up load anything, in fact we couldn't even write anything to up load!

This morning I had a look at the blog to find they had stopped messing about and put it all back together again!

Yesterday we met Dylan, he is the young mate for Marley, he looks a right soppy woofer!

Is that Old Two Legs?

 We were all introduced but both Holly and I kept back 'cos he is a bit 'uncontrollable' at the moment!

Mind you, that didn't stop OTL from getting a big lick from both woofers!

Isn't OTL wonderful like wot I told you!

 We have decided to call them the Two Bob Woofers, well, think on it, Bob Marley and Bob Dylan!

Freddy though it was hilarious!

Two Bob Dogs! I just don't believe it!

 This morning it was terribly misty but we could almost see the blue sky. Mind you, it didn't last too long and the sun was back in no time!

I reckon it will clear soon!

We didn't see the Two Bob Boys today but there were loads of strangers wandering up and down the Sea Wall. One family, with a load of Mini Two Legs came stomping along the beach, they had a German Shepherd on a lead and a Jack Russell on a lead as well.

They marched straight up to where OTL and the ferrets were and when OTL gave them the 'Evil Eye' and scooped both Fred and Wendy up into his arms this bozo of a Two Legs said 'OK, it's alright, I just wanted to see what our dog would do'!

OTL, gave them one of his 'Serious Looks' and said 'That's what happened to Wilma and she was killed by the dog!'

OTL was not a happy TL!

Bozo's R Us!

As there were loads of strangers OTL was keeping a good look out for stray woofers and didn't get his camera out. It will be better next week 'cos all the strangers will have gone back to work!

OTL has been working on The Missus's YooToob film and is desperately trying to loose twenty seconds so he can get it into the fifteen minute time slot!

Trubble is, TM just will gas on and on!

The sun brings them all out!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Wot a super sunny day!

We have been out for walkies, we've been chasing rabbits, digging holes and woofing at strangers!

This morning first thing we were down on the beach, I went in for a paddle while Old Two Legs played about taking pictures into the sun, which shouldn't really come out but..........

Can you see the geese flying in formation?

The ferrets couldn't see them and neither could we, until OTL processed the photo!

Talking of not seeing, there has been a massive growth in the weed population along the Sea Wall and it not only hides the ferrets but today it almost hid Holly Chops!

 All the ferrets thought it was a great laugh seeing Holly trying to hide 'cos they can hide quicker than a flash!

One more step and I'll disappear all together!

 Even Miss Wendy claimed she could disappear behind a blade of grass!

Now you see me.

 And................................................

Now you don't!

 Eric decided it wasn't worth hiding 'cos it was too hot to play silly games and instead climbed up onto OTL's shoulder to watch out for strange woofers and Nargles!

It's really too hot to run around!

It was amazing just how many Two Legs there was on the beach and along the Sea Wall.

OTL reckons it is the fact it's 'Half Term' plus the sunshine and the fact the Beach Cafe was open that brought them all down to our beach today!

Just wait until it rains, they will all stay at home then!

Good news, it's Friday tomorrow, the sun will still be here and we are expecting the tide to be right in so I can have a swim!

Lost Polly Chops and OTL has been 'Engineering!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

What a day it's been!

First we hear that Auntie Chris had a successful operation on her knee and they even had her out of bed and tearing around the ward on a zimmer frame!

Wonder what foot she uses on the brake pedal!

Old Two Legs has been working hard on the caravan, getting those little jobs done that start off being 'Easy Peasy' and somehow develop into a major engineering project!

Now, take the cap on the water tank, it was leaking  but there were no signs of why. So, starting at the cap he started to unscrew the whole system. Finally he found it was the cap that had developed a crack in the moulding. So, get on the Internetty and order another. He found the manufacturer and the list of spare bits. He located the cap but found that the description was for a 5" cap. Armed with his trusty 12" engineers ruler, he measured all over the cap but couldn't find any dimension that was 5"!

No 5" here either!

So, that means a long telephone discussion with the man on the telephone followed by a long email with loads of pictures of the cap and the tank and the labels on the side showing batch numbers and other stuff!

While this was going on, OTL was 'Mending' the broken cap by drilling holes at the ends of the crack and then filling the crack with a water proof glue that should set hard in 24hours!

The new cap should be here on Friday, with any luck!

Now if you thought that was a bit long and boring, I won't tell you about the central heating duct under the bed or the catch in the cupboard or the water filter and the leak on the water pump and finally, the slat on the bed, that's all another story!

With all that going on he didn't have much time to spend on the beach. Holly and I were sniffing while OTL was on the phone chasing caps and even the ferrets got fed up listening to him going on about 5" dimensions that weren't there!

What OTL hadn't noticed was a strange woofer on the beach. Now Holly saw that the ferrets were having a dig while OTL was somewhere in the clouds going on about inches. So, it was up to Holly to make sure this new woofer didn't get close to our ferrets 'cos we remember what happened to Wilma when she met u p with a strange woofer!

In the end the woofer wandered off in the opposite direction, so all was well.

Well, that was until we came across little Poppy, sitting in the middle of the path, with none of her mates or even her Two Legs!

Seems she got a little lost while she was having a sniff and everyone had wandered off!

We stayed with her for a while and OTL gave her a stroke and a tickle on her tummy until her TL appeared over the top of the hill to collect Poppy!

So, we just come in from the caravan and OTL is down stairs eating dinner while I get full use of the laptop!
