Warm or Wot!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

What a warm day it's been, we have been running about all over the beach today and Holly actually had a paddle on the rock pool to cool her claws off!

The laptop has gone into 'over heat' mode and has shut down so I'm on the 'Big Computer' at the moment and OTL is trying to get the photo's to up load  onto this computer!

This morning it was a little over cast and we thought it was going to be cool but very soon the temperature started to climb!

Will it be warm or cool?

 Old Two Legs had his 'Wind Proof' jacket on but was soon complaining it was getting too hot!

I didn't care, there was a beach to roll on and I needed a good scratch!

Holly was getting in the mood as well!

 Young Freddy had a roll on the sand but soon headed off for the cool of the sea wall.

This is better!

 Wendy was soon tearing up the beach as well and of course it was she who was first into the grass!

I'm off for a roll in the damp grass!

Back home OTL had some urgent work to be done before he started shovelling poo. This allowed Freddy and Wendy some extra time to have a really good rampage around the house. Well after all the running about, it wasn't too long before both ferrets were heading for their favourite snoozy place. Miss Wendy gets into the back of the lounge suite and hides in the upholstery. It's a good job OTL knows all the hidy holes or we could end up loosing a ferret every so often!

Freddy de Ferret has his special snooze place in the middle drawer of the desk and OTL has cleared all the office stuff out and installed a blanket and a sleeping bag.

If you are going to wake me, do it Gently!

 Lunchtime it was very hot, like over twenty five degrees 'C'! May and Eric got rather warm and when we got back to the car both of them were almost swimming in the water bowl!

I managed to get a splosh in the muddy water as it came in on the tide.

Holly got wet paws.

Eric went swimming in the rock pools and got a soaking wet tummy!

May was rolling on the Sea Kale in the shadow of the Sea Wall.

OTL? Well, he forgot the memory card for the camera!

Wot a plonker!

The laptop has just fired up again, I'll switch it off tonight just in case it gets too hot again!

No news on the 'scope, we expect OTL's offer might have been rejected! Mind you, good manners would at least send an email telling him 'No', still some people don't know how to behave when some little 'Erk' like OTL tries to 'Do a Deal'!

OK, I'm off to see what is for dinner, see you all tomorrow!

In search of Little Green Men!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Not the bright sun shinny day we were expecting but the rain managed to come down only when we were in the car!

We were up good and early this morning 'cos Old Two Legs had an appointment to look at some Astronomy Telescopes!

He says he is getting bored with insects and ferrets! Not he fancies a bash at photographing some planets or far off galaxies or even nebula!

Wot is a Nebula? Sounds like a load of old gas to me!

Down on the beach May was playing Chase de Freddy while Freddy was trying to stay awake!

Unfortunately, Freddy spotted a couple of tugs coming into Sheerness Docks and called out, 'Look! a Mummy Tug and a Baby Tug!'

 It was then that Freddy spotted May creeping up on him and he legged it up the beach to the Sea Wall!

I must say that sometimes OTL can catch us in the most embarrassing positions, like, when I tripped up over my paws and went nose over tail!

Oooops!

 Or me trying to do a fast take off from the beach!

It's those 'Paws' again!

We went with OTL down to the Telescope shop and OTL thought he had identified the right 'scope for him but when he told the man what he wanted to do it seems OTL was wrong. Of course!

The correct set up would cost him a considerably more pocket money, so, back to square one!

The man showed OTL a second hand one that he was selling for one of his mates which would be just what OTL wanted, only problem was, it exceeded OTL's budget!

The 'scope had electric drives but there was no Power Supply Leads or Mains Leads and there was only one eye piece. OTL would need to invest a few more pound coins to get some eye pieces and filters and get it to to state where he could use it.

So, adding up the bits OTL made an offer for the 'scope that was making allowances for the missing bits.

So, claws crossed, we are hoping for a telephone call in a day or so time!

I think OTL has Bambi Burgers tonight, Yum Yum!

A Super Sunny Sunday!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

What a change it has been today! It started off being a bit cloudy, then it started to rain and then after all that the sun came out and it had Old Two Legs wishing he hadn't put on his rain jacket!

It didn't stop Miss Wendy having a game with Freddy, she kept on running up behind him and nibbling his tail!

Oi! If you're hungry you should have eaten your breakfast!

 Mind you, it did stop Freddy from dawdling along the beach!

Wendy wandered off with Holly 'cos the rain had started and they both had decided that the best place to be is 'in the car'!

'Yes, I think the car is a good idea!'

 When we got up to the top path the rain stopped! Mind you, the rain had washed some of the sniffs away!

Well, that sniff was here yesterday!

 Back home, The Missus had gone off to her Master Class at the village hall and we settled down to cage cleaning. Well, OTL was cage cleaning while the ferrets rampaged all around the house!

Lunchtime we got down to the beach to find a load of fishermen setting up for a fishing contest. It was lucky for us that the tide was still far enough away to allow us to have a game on the beach without being bombarded with fishing weights!

Holly decided that Archie Babes story of rabbit hunting Nargles was a good excuse to go Nargle hunting on our beach. It was good to see her get her paws wet in the rock pools!

Mind you, the pools weren't very deep!

No, no Nargles under these rocks!

 Eric joined Holly in hunting under the sea weed and although there were some very small crabs scuttling around, the sight of a Nargle eluded us!

No Nargles here either!

Back home Holly and I had fun watching OTL doing some gardening, well, what he was doing was cutting down some bushes that were growing into our front garden from next door. It was getting so thick that there was almost no room to park the big car!

When he had finished and cleared up all the leaves and branches we settled down to watch some TV.

Just as we were getting settled, TM came in the front door and as soon as she had unloaded the car we settled down to watch the F1 racing. It was an exciting race and Hamilton won in the end!

OTL has been promised a Kebab tonight so Holly and I are getting ready ready to do some serious mugging!

Saturday Snoozing.

Hi Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

We have been looking forward to today all week, well, I mean, Saturday is not for working is it?

Except if you are Old Two Legs, he still has his little 'Jobs' to do but by the amount of poo he has to shovel out of the ferret cages I wouldn't say his jobs were small!

Before he gets too involved in all that we get to go down the beach and it's always a race to get onto the beach first, just so we get the best sniffs before the ferrets try to muscle in and pinch them!

I'm first again!

 Holly is almost all of the time in second place 'cos she just can't run as fast as I can!

These steps get bigger every time I try to use them!

One good thing we found on the beach, my missing ball! There was a slight problem, as Holly pointed out, it's only half a ball!

Some rotten woofer has demolished my ball, it was chewed and battered and not good for playing with

It was 'ere and now it's gone and it's just been chewed upon, and it's sore!

 Well, that was it, no ball chasing today!

Holly didn't care, she was too busy catching up on her tan!

Oh! I just don't believe her sometimes, it was just an old ball for woofs sake!

 Lunchtime was better, the tide was in and Old Two Legs  managed to find some wood on the beach that we could have a game with.

We started off chasing it up and down the beach but soon it was floating in the water, so, I just had to rescue it didn't I?

Don't worry StickyWicky, Daisy's coming!

 OTL said that I carried the stick just like Churchill! As if!

We will chase it of the beaches, etc!

On our way back home we stopped off to see the ladies at the Master Class. OTL wouldn't allow Holly and me to go into the hall 'cos I was all wet and soggy and Holly had been rolling in something and she was a bit sniffy!

So, instead of us it was May and Eric that got all the strokes! Auntie Di was there and she gave Eric a tickle on his tummy!

We are now off to watch the practise on the F1 Racing on the TV, so bye bye for now and see you all tomorrow!

Thunder & Lightening?

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret back again!

Now, I don't know about where you live but down here we were promised torrential rain, floods, thunder and lightening!

Well, last night we had a brief shower! No flashes or bangs or rumbles!

Down on the beach we could see the clouds were a bit dark but not dark enough for a shower!

Not really a 'Storm Cloud'!

 Fred and Wendy were digging on the beach and having a wonderful time.

Why are you sniffing my butt? I'm not a woofer!

 Holly and I had a great time. We both discovered super sniffs each and of course we just couldn't resist a roll!

 I found a particularly good sniff, it was all fishy and also sniffed of sea weed and I thought there was a hint of star fish!

Ooooh! This is sooooooo goooooood!

When we came back at lunchtime we weren't allowed to have another roll, mainly 'cos the tide had come in!

So, if I couldn't have a roll, I'll have a swim!

Well, not really a swim, more of a deep paddle up to my tummy!

May and Eric decided to stay away from the water and spent all the lunchtime on the beach, sniffing at the underside of the piles of sea weed!

Miss May just loves rolling around in the Sea Kale and young Eric is also getting a taste for Sea Kale.
 

I didn't see you creep up!

Eric just loves the Sea Kale but he also has a taste for the plants along the grass path!

Old Two Legs is getting in trouble as Eric and May run through the plants shaking the blooms and that lets all the pollen float up his nose and you know what's next?

Me Balls Gone!

Yo Woofers!!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Wot a change in the weather! One moment it was sun shine and gentle breezes and today it's all wind and waves!

We reckon that Miss Wendy had the right idea, stay in bed!

Leave me alone, I'm sleeping!

 First thing this morning it was sort of misty and clouds that had a 'warning', like, bad weather is coming!

The Missus has been promising to slosh weed killer all over the weeds in front of the garage and on the front drive but because it threatens rain, she has put it off. Today it didn't rain but the weather people are talking about thunder and lightening in our area. Holly Chops won't like that!

So, where are the thunder clouds?

 Lunchtime the tide was in and was getting a helping hand from the wind to blow all those waves up the beach!

I thought about it but decided that a swim was maybe not the best idea today!

Erm, maybe not today!

 Instead, I went off looking for my ball but it was nowhere to be seen. I reckon another woofer had found it and taken it home!

Miss May did have a look under the sea weed, just in case it was hiding but had to give up 'cos the waves were getting perilously close!

Wot's that rushing sound I can hear?

 Holly Chops sat on top of the Sea Wall and told us all that we were potty getting too near the water and that there was no way she was even going dip her claw in the wet sand, never mind the water!

When I put my ears back like this it means NO!

 As we headed back along the beach the tide got to it's highest on the beach and even tried to climb up the steps to the Sea Wall!

Maybe Holly was right after all!

Those waves really look angry!

 This afternoon, OTL has been looking at Astronomy Telescopes on the InterNetty thing. He says he fancies trying some photography of Planets and Nebulae and Little Men from Mars!

We are going down to a place near us on Monday to have a look at load of telescopes. Who knows, he may decide to put an offer in for Jodrell Bank or maybe just the Lovell Telescope!

If he is any good he may even put some on here, if I let him!

Mind you, he can stand out in the dark on his own 'cos there is no way I'm freezing my tail off for a couple of passing Martians!

Found my ball again!

Hello Woofers!

The Gang is here again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Well, do you remember yesterday when I found that ball? After playing with it I left it under some grass so I could find it again.

Around here balls are like 'Meaty Chews', hard to come by!

This morning I was so pleased to find the ball was still there!

No woofer had pinched it and it hadn't rolled away.

That was it, I showed Old Two Legs where I had hidden it and he kicked it down the path until it went over the Sea Wall and onto the beach!

Ready for a game!

 OTL kicked it down the beach and I chased after it. Holly had a little chase as well be really she doesn't do balls and instead decided to stretch out on the beach to catch a few rays!

Jus' slap on the Factor 35!

 I rather fancied a dip in the sea but it looked a bit too rough to go swimming, so, instead I got OTL to do some more kicking!

Shall I? Shan't I? Shall I? Shan't I? Shall I? Shan't I? Shall I? Shan't I? Shall I? Shan't I?

 After a while I decided to hide it on the beach and see it it stays there over night. I hid it above the high tide mark so, as long as no one pinches it, it will still be there tomorrow!

OK, in front of the sea weed and just ahead of the lump of wood, that should be OK!

 I hope this warmer weather gets up to Archie Babe, we much prefer warm than cold! Mind you, putting the cover on the duvet can get you warmed up!

It's Getting Warmer!

Hi Woofers,

We're back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Well, the weather is getting better! This morning it was still blowing cold from the North Sea but lunchtime it was warm enough for Old Two Legs to change his jacket from the 'Severe Weather' to the 'Wind Proof' one!

Morning Chilly!

 One good thing was that while Holly Chops and I were digging on the beach I dug up a ball! I mean, I thought that I was the only woofer who buried balls!

Look wot I got Holly Chops!

 Fred and Wendy had a good game on the way back, Freddy tried to get a lift by pretending his tail had broken and Wendy almost fell for it!

No! No, don't move me, it hurts too much!

 It almost worked, right up to the time when OTL says 'Wanna Lift Freddy?' where upon Freddy jumps up and runs towards OTL!

Gottcha!

Lunchtime was much better, the wind had dropped right down to almost nothing and the sun came out to warm us up!

It's getting better now!

 May and Eric had a great time on the beach digging holes and chasing Holly. Then they were in and out of all the plant life on the top path. Now the Spring has come they just love diving in and out of the undergrowth. Of course, there are all the sniffs to sniff and holes to investigate!

Hey! Get a load of this sniff!

 Wot is more fun it to run through the path that the ferrets and OTL have flattened over the past two months! It's just like running through the jungle and it so much fun!

Watch out for the Nargles!

Back home Miss May found a new place for a snooze, the inside of OTL's chair! It took about half an hour before she was found, fast asleep and dreaming of digging holes on the beach!

OTL has been promised Steak and Chips tonight, so Holly and I are getting ready to do some serious mugging tonight!

Busy, Busy and It's only Monday!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

How are you all today? We have been very busy enjoying ourselves and Holly Chops has been hunting nibbles!

You see, when the ferrets are let out in the morning while Old Two Legs cleans their cages, the ferrets go hunting for nibbles and the nibbles favoured by ferrets in this house is................Doggy Treats!

Our teeth cleaning chews and Jumbone treats keep disappearing and we have always suspected the ferrets were doing the thieving!

Holly has decided that she is going to get back our missing treats!

Now, one of the favourite places is under some wicker baskets. The problem is, it is in The Missus store room that is full of crafty stuff. TM has put a step ladder and a folding chair and a couple of big plastic lids in front to stop ferrets getting in.

Stupid eh?

Holly has been using her nose to locate the nibbles and then gives out a series of woofs that gets OTL to come into the store room to see what is wanted!

After moving the chair and steps Holly gets behind the plastic lids and 'Rescues' some of our treats!

Those ferrets are going to be in for a surprise tomorrow!

Fred and Wendy had fun on the beach, both into digging a hole, trubble is, Wendy tried digging a hole under Freddy!

Do you mind watching where you're digging with those claws!

Holly and I spotted a stranger walking along the Sea Wall, so, we took up out defensive positions!

OK, if he gets any closer, you woof and I'll run and tell OTL!

OTL was too busy trying to phonograph an Oyster Catcher that doesn't eat oysters!

Really, I prefer crustaceans and worms!

For the rest of the day OTL has been busy on the office cutting stuff and soldering and crimping and......well, busy!

Today we got served up with some lambs heart, so there are two puppies with big fat tummies today!

Now, I wonder what OTL is having for dinner tonight?

Sailors and Ball Thieving!

Hello Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Today has been a fun day, it started off with me getting kicked off the bed by The Missus!

I mean, you would not believe that a Two Legs can make such a song and dance about sleeping! Old Two Legs sleeps without moving, just like Holly and me. Maybe a little twitch now and again but mostly zonked out!

Not TM, she has a route march all over the bed, then she plays football, scoring a goal and jumping all over the place to celebrate the goal!

I got kicked out of bed and straight into the back of the net!

A little later than normal I limped out to the car and we were off to the beach!

When we got out of the car we noticed the wind had dropped, it was still coldish but no wind!

We headed off towards the beach, I stopped to investigate a sniff and Holly wandered off. Then, all of a sudden she was jumping up and down, woofing and waving her tail and calling out 'Hello Sailor'!

I thought she had really lost it but I looked over to where she was waving and saw what she saw!

Holly was getting all excited and she didn't see Bert coming along the path wagging his tail!

Bert is in love with Holly but she just acts like a big tart, waggling her tail!

Back home OTL finally finished all his paperwork and set about planning what he is going to do next week!

Lunchtime we were down the beach again and while we were on the beach I saw this old bozo of a sheep dog playing with two balls. Then he dropped one into the water, so, me being a good, kind, helpful woofer, I said I'd pick it up for him!

Touch it and you're a dead dog!

Unfortunately he didn't see it my way and started to grumble at me, just like Holly does when she thinks I'm going to steal her chew!

As if!

Mind you, I must admit that I did have plans for that ball!

Miss May called out that if I attracted his attention, she would run up and grab the ball for me!

Go on, I'm ready to grab it!

It was at that point, OTL stepped in and told me to leave the bozo alone and Miss May had to get back to digging the beach up.

Boo, Hiss!

Eric, he had already decided that the best place to be was as far away from bozo woofers and suicidal ferrets!

I'm off, you're all mad!

It was at that moment that the bozo's own TL came marching along he beach, so it was Bye Bye to the ball and off home we go!

As normal, the whole village was full of visitors cars and all parking had been taken, so, OTL had to put the car on the garage front and as he got out of the car he spotted a very small moth resting on the garage door. Getting his camera out he managed to get this shot. Not bad really, considering the fact that the distance between wing tip to wing tip was only ten millimetres!

 Talking of waves, Holly has been practising her 'Wave' to everyone we passed and calling out 'Hello Sailors'!
