Why do they make it so difficult?

 Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

What a fun day we have had!

Old Two Legs has customers all over the world and in the past, we have had no problems, but that was before Brexit!

OTL has been trying to get all set up for dealing with the EU come Jan 1st.

The old zero % VAT is remaining the same, for now but like exporting all over the world, you have to fill in a Customs Declaration saying what is in the box.

EU now want to know what is in the box but instead of something like, '200 Widgets' we now have fill in a box that gives a Detailed Description of Contents, OK 200 Widgets.

The next box says What is the HS Tariff Number?

Wot?

So, investigating the GOV.UK website we go looking for a HS number for Widgets.

They have goods listed from Tampons to Tubers but no sign of a Widget. In the end OTL found a link that claims to be able to give you a HS number, just send an email and they will answer in six or seven days!

OTL says he has the head ache he always gets when dealing with GOV.UK!

Holly and I don't really care, his feet are nice and warm and Holly and I share guard duties by cuddling up to them!

Going out for a walk it was remarkably cold, there was even some frost on the grass on the old golf course.

Lunchtime it was still cold but the sun had come out and left some strange looking cloud formations!

This is High Tide with little wind and a strange looking sky, maybe it's just an Autumnal Weather!

While we were having a run on the beach a ship went past towing a big barge!

Holly sat down and tried to work out what the barge was carrying but gave up after a while, well you can only get so many kebab's in a barge!

Now, take a look at this tree that we have walked past for a few years. Can you see a branch growing through another branch?

We don't reckon it is natural, we reckon some Two Legs drilled a hole in one branch and poked an adjacent branch through the hole.

After a few years the two branches seem to have grown together.

I wonder how many TL's have ever noticed that before?

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

A Land of Kebab and Chips!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

Another Autumnal day and today we had the wind coming in from the North Sea which means it whips down from Scandinavia, across the backside of Essex, across Southend on Sea and lands on our sea front!

So, a bit of a chilly day!

First thing this morning we were walking around the old golf course, Holly's got an attack of the Grumblies so she wasn't her normal bouncing self!

That will teach her to go nibbling stuff she shouldn't!

We didn't take the camara with us first thing so we missed out on about five minutes of sunrise with the full moon waiting to see the sunrise!

We met up with Reg, a Border Terrier who we always woof at when we see him walking along the road.

Other than that, it was damp and a little chilly!

Lunchtime the tide was right in, we could tell that 'cos the muddy islands in the Medway were almost covered with water.

It's a good job the wind wasn't as strong as we have seen it before or the waves would have had white horses on top of them!

Mind you, with the wind blowing from Essex, that means we get a good sniff of Kebab and fish & chips.

Holly stood for a while with her nose in the air and a silly smile on her face!

No wonder she gets The Grumblies!

Southend, the land of the Greasy Kebab!

Walking a bit further along the sea wall we noticed that the drilling rig RAN was still sitting in the dock at Sheerness, we would have thought that it would have gone by now but it is still being worked on!

The tide is just washing RAN's butt!

We wandered all over the forrest looking for fungi but other than what we have seen already, there were no new stuff at all.

Back home Holly got the pickle in her and ran around the caravan three times. I thought she was chasing something but it was her just being a 'Potty Puppy'!

If I want to run around the caravan, I will!

So, the rest of the day was spent working on the computer, Old Two Legs, not us!

It's 'Month End' which means OTL is playing about with spread sheets and boring stuff like that!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.
