The Best Bit!

 Hi Woofers!

Daisy here!

Now, where are we?

We have done Staffa and the Fingals Cave bit and now we are on Longa, this is the largest of the Treshnish Islands.

Like all islands off the side of Scotland, this is made from volcanic stuff. Over the years grass and earth have landed on the island via the birds etc.

The animals like rabbits have been left on the island and Puffins have taken over the  rabbit burrows as nesting holes.

OTL says, that's what I came for, the Puffins!

Another bird was the Great Skua, sometimes known by the name bonxie, and they fly up and down the nesting Puffins looking for an easy meal.

That's another tick on OTL's Bucket List!

Luv,

Daisy.

Now, how about this?

Hi Woofers!

Daisy McDonald here!

Now, yesterday I told you about OTL going off in a couple of boats where he said that woofers were not allowed.

Wrong!

He said that on both sailings there were a couple of woofers who told OTL that they were not really enjoying the ride!

I've had better days!

They saw some big fishes called Orca, in fact they saw four and all of the crew were getting all exciting going oo! and aah!

One woofer wanted to know if you could get fish fingers from these fishes!

The next boat headed off to an island that was called Staffa. If the water had been a little calmer OTL reckons he could have climbed around to the cave but wasn't feeling that brave!

Fingal's Cave

In calmer weather and with the right tide you could get inside the big cave, no one goes to the small cave!

OTL decided to stay on top of the island and let all the brave souls run around looking at the four traces of buildings on the island.

Indiana Jones? No, it's just OTL again!

The next island was Lunga, this is one island OTL has been wishing he could get to for ages.

This island was landed on by the boat running a floating bridge onto the rocks, then it's a tippy toe through the rocks and head towards the gap in the cliff.

There were rules applicable to woofers, like, they can't go any further that the white painted arrow!

Next to the sitting lady is the second woofer who can't go past the painted arrow.

Now, what's beyond the white arrow?

I'll tell you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy
