Pond Maintanance.

Hi Woofers.

Daisy back again.

I like Saturdays, most times The Missus goes off to the village hall for a day of glue slinging with her mates and I'm left with OTL who gets bullied by me into going out for more walks than he knew existed! Hi Woofers.

Again, we missed the sunrise by a half an hour, so only the afterglow of the sunrise!

If only I could get him up a half an hour earlier!

Even walking along the sea wall, and by the time we get to the forest it hasn't improved at all!

Well, there was a gull turned up to see what we were doing!

There is the morning walk down the sea front then I manage to get three more walks out the back of the house where there are loads of foxy sniffs to roll in.

Needless to say, OTL gets all loud and drives me away from the sniff!

I have found that if I run in front of OTL, get to the sniff, I can get a good roll before he catches me!

Back home we stopped to watch the F1 racing but as normal, OTL fell asleep after some lunch and I had to wake him up to go for our afternoon walk!

Once we got back OTL decided to clean the pond of leaves and set about scooping the leaves out and looking for the snails we put in the pond.

We found two of the Zebra Snails but none of the small Wandering Snails, I suppose they will come out later after they have grown a bit.

So, the score was two snails and a ton of leaves.

That was until we spotted a Froggy!

It sat there, in front of the Zebra Snail who was sleeping on the pond liner.

OTL rushed off to get the camera and ran off a couple of shots before Froggy slid down into the watery depths to wait until we left him alone!

I managed to get OTL out for another walk before TM got back from the village hall.

Now we will watch the bit of F1 racing we missed while OTL was asleep!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy

They got stabbed!

Hi woofers!

Daisy here.

You know, it is getting harder to get OTL up in the mornings nowadays.

Take this morning, at half past three I jumped up on the bed, sat on his pillow and sort of wrapped myself around his head and gave his bald spot a lick then gave his head a gentle smack with my paw, just to get him going.

All I got was a mumble then he went back to sleep!

Next it was quarter to six and I'm back again, sitting on his chest and licking his ears. The response was a low grumble and a suggestion of what I could do with my nose and where I should stick it!

It was gone six thirty before he got up and we didn't get out the front door until ten past seven!

On the way down to the sea front there was a super sun behind the cloud sunrise but it disappeared by the time we got to the car park!

There it was.......Gone!

I'm now looking for helpful suggestions on how to get OTL up in time to see the sunrise!

Just before we go into the Forrest there is a well-placed poo bin which normally is well used!

Normally if you do see a poo bag poking over the top it is one of the bright green ones, so, when we approached the bin today there poking out of the bin was a strange looking poo bag!

It was only when we got closer that we saw it was a plastic leaf and stem!

Strange or wot?

Just before lunchtime TM and OTL went off leaving me on my own, I didn't mind 'cos they were off to the local surgery to get the Flu and Covid injection.

They both got the injections, one in each arm, TM says it excuses her from any housework today and OTL says he is excused everything!

He should be so lucky!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy.
