It's 'That Time' again!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

It's Monday, so that means Old Two Legs has work to do!

We will be off soon to our first holiday of the year. It will be The Missus second 'cos she went off to Texas and OTL had a few days off in Scotland with his cousin Alun.

Now, that means the caravan has to get it's wash and polish and 'De Spidered!

We were out early for our walk but we didn't hang about too long. As soon as we hit the beach Holly Chops did one of her famous 'Nose Dive and Roll' in the sand!

Boom! Here comes Holly!
I don't do nose dives but I did chase after Holly as she charged off down the beach.

I'zzz coming for you!
Of course Holly is a bit slow getting going and I was on top of her with no trouble!

BOOM! It's a flying Daisy Dog!
The ferrets, Wendy and Fred had a dig in the sand then headed for the grass where it was a little cooler.

Once we got back home OTL cleared the cages in double quick time and headed off to the caravan armed with the jet cleaner, a bucket, two bottles of caravan cleaner and a big sponge!

That's where he spent the rest of the day, scrubbing and washing and blasting the sea gull poo of the caravan walls and roof!

Not only did he do the caravan he also did the little car which had even more gull poo 'cos TM had left the car parked under a tree where the sea gulls just love dive bomb!

Those sea gulls are good shots!

So, Holly and I spent the day snoozing and OTL was working, oh yes, TM was slapping the glue pot!

We have seen a 'Tracking Report', the scope is on its way!

OTL has got to wash the big car and by then the scope will have arrived, so it's Play Time!

See you all tomorrow,

Sunday Fun!

Hi Woofers!

A Very Merry Sunday to you from Daisy, Holly, Miss May. Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Just for a change, the weekend hasn't been too bad weather wise. That has enabled the ferrets to have a dig in the sand. Miss Wendy had a great time doing a 'Holly Dig' with her nose!

I love 'Trenching!'
While Fred and Wendy had fun I decided to go in for a dip 'cos the tide was almost all the way in!

A Deep Dip is so much fun!
Holly was doing wot Holly does best, laying on the beach catching the rays! She has learnt a trick or two from yesterday, today she dug a quick trench by her tail so that if any ferret tried to sneak up, they would fall in!

I feel a lot safer than yesterday!
Lunchtime it was rather warm and sunny, around 21 degrees so OTL decided that it would be best to leave Eric and May asleep in their bed 'cos it was too hot for them to go running about and a hot ferret is not safe!

Add caption
When we got down to the car park it was stuffed full of visitors! We headed around to the overflow car park and just for a change, we headed over the Fort Hill and down to the beach.

Problem was, there was loads of Two Legs on a 'Walking Visit' to all the interesting bits along the Sea Wall.
Pay attention at the back!
We left them to it and headed down to the beach. The tide was out so we had a run along the beach digging a hole here and there!

We spotted a yacht sailing along just off the mud banks, he was rather close to the bank but he turned, right at the last moment!

He had better turn soon or it's muddy trubble!
As we didn't have the ferrets with us Old Two Legs had time to look at the plant life. He spotted some Cuckoo Spit. Holly fell for it 'cos she asked where the cuckoos were!

It's caused by the sap-sucking Froghopper Nymphs who have made a home in the froth!
We saw a couple of butterflies but they didn't hang about to have their photo taken, so OTL had to put up with the flowers that had bloomed!

Well, it's a sort of Daisy, just like me!
We went down to the Sea Wall by another route and I saw some fluff on one of the plants. Not like the Cuckoo Spit, more like fluffy hair!

It looks like Woofer Hair!
OTL reckons it was where someone had brushed their woofer and tossed the hair from the brush up in the air to float onto the flowers so the birds can collect it for their nests!

Clever eh?

As we turned the corner to head back to the car, all those visitors were marching down the hill!

OTL, Holly and I got out of their way 'cos they didn't look like they were going to stop!
Left Right, Left Right, keep up at the back!
As we headed off on a side path OTL saw there were a family sitting around our table and they had put a table cloth over it!

Some picnic!

Can't we go over there and pinch a sausage or two?
When we got back home there was a bowl of Chicken waiting for us so it was 'Nose down, Tail up' and don't come up until it's gone!

Now, Suzy Chops was getting worried about OTL's telescope, well, it's arriving on Tuesday and we reckon it's going to take a week before he has assembled it, let alone looked through the thing to see any stars!

That's if the clouds clear away!

See you all tomorrow!

Another Busy Day!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, those doom sayers on the TV were saying that we were going to get all the normal weekend weather, like storms and floods and plagues of frogs and stuff like that.

Not us!

Today we only got .3mm of rain according to the rain gauge and wot rain we saw was miles away from us!

Well, Essex is getting a splash now!
As we got around the corner, what did we see? Herne Bay was getting a splosh as well!

And a little splosh here as well!
Down on the beach it was all sun shine!

Holly was lounging on the beach, catching a few rays when Miss May decided to creep up behind her and do a 'Gottcha'!

I've not seen Holly jump so high!

Miss May doing a 'Sneaky Creep Up' on Holly Chops!
Of course, once she had done that on Holly, I was the next target! Trouble was, I had one eye swivelled back so I could spot the sneaky ferret as she sidled up and whispered in my ear.......

Go on, share the sniff with me?
Well, what could a woofer say?

Heading back to the car Old Two Legs was sneezing his beard off, seems the hay fever season has started and it's going to be watery eyes, blocked up noses thumping head aches!

Doesn't he make such a noise!

See you all tomorrow!

We manage to miss the rain!

Hi Woofers!

We're back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Old Two Legs was boring the tail off us this morning telling us all about just how much rain fell yesterday (8.1mm) this week it amounted to 41.7mm!

Yes, all very impressive but that doesn't keep yer tail dry!

The Missus reckons she spotted a frog sitting on one of the lillypad leaves and tried to get a picture using her mobile phone. As soon as she pointed it at the frog he jumped off the leaf and disappeared into the depths of the pond!

Today it has been rather wet outside, not because it was raining but rather the left over puddles from the rain last night!

When we got down the beach we were surprised to see the sea had gone! I mean, like it was there yesterday but this morning, poof, it had gone!

Well, it was here yesterday!
Miss Wendy and Freddy had fun climbing up and down the wall of shells on the beach. Freddy has plans to be a mountain climber, well, that wot he says but I think he has a long way to go yet!

Next time we will have to bring along the 'Crampons'!
Once we got back home poor Freddy was so tired after his 'Mountaineering' that he fell asleep on my Office Bed and OTL had to put him back in his bed while he was fast asleep!

Freddy dreaming of Mountains, on my bed!
Lunchtime down on the beach nothing much had changed, the water was still missing but the fog had lifted.

OTL decided that wot the photo needed was a little bit of 'Dramatizing' , so he played about on his computer and made a right mess of it all!

I still can't see the Sea!
Eric and May had some fun digging in the sand and even had a game of 'Chase' with Holly Chops, that is, they chased her and she ran away!

Eric looking all cool and handsome!
Miss May got in a right mess in the sand, she was doing a 'Holly', that is, digging her nose in the sand and push as hard as you can!

She had to get OTL to pick her up and brush off all the sand from her nose and whiskers!

I need a rub down with a hair brush!
OTL was hoping that the telescope would be delivered today but so far it hasn't turned up. Mind you he did get a delivery of a 'Planisphere' which is a thing you can find out what stars are visible any tie of the year, providing there are stars to be seen and not hidden buy loads of clouds like wot there is now!

Next he will be getting out his compass to find 'True North' so he can point the telescope at it when setting up the computer thingy that controls the 'scope!

It's all very 'Technical' but he loves stuff like that!

See you all tomorrow.

Well, it didn't rain!

Yo! Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here.

We have been rushing about today and it's all Old Two Legs fault! You see he had visitors today and they all went on for ages gassing and gassing!

It was almost as bad as The Missus and her lot when they are 'Glue Slapping'!

Well, that caused young Freddy and Wendy to have to 'Hurry Up' on their walk this morning. Not the sort of thing that we enjoy first thing in the morning! I mean, mornings are for gently waking up and sort of sliding into the day, not having our tails rushed off 'Speed Weeing' along the Sea Wall!

The things we have to put up with!

Come on, don't hang about or you'll get left behind!
It was such a nice morning as well, the sun was glinting off the waves and it looked all calm and pretty!

Such tranquillity on The River Medway!
Well, we got back in time for OTL to de-poo the cages and get himself sorted out before his visitors arrived and while he was gassing Holly and I crashed out on the bed for a well earned snooze!

Our lunchtime walk was late as well, too much gassing!

While we were down on the beach, May and Eric were having a 'Pretend Fight' rolling about on the sand and giving each other  nips when May suddenly stopped and looked at the sky.

Wossatt Squeaking?
We all looked around but couldn't see anything.

OTL was looking up in the sky as well and spotted a big bird floating on the thermals looking all big and dangerous!

Looks like a Buzzard out looking for some lunch!
It was some pretty fast paw work for Miss May, she was off Eric's back and up in OTL's arms in a flash!

She reckoned it was the safest place to be in moments like that!

Quick! OTL next stop!
Eric said that it looked like a big chicken and if it came down he would sort it out, yeah, right, like do you want to see your first birthday at the end of this month Ferret Chops?

Well, it headed off and the ferrets carried on playing in the long grass.

OTL has purchased one of those Astronomical Telescopes that he has been looking at, not so big and super as the one he put an offer in on but this one has a load of filters and eye pieces and stuff and although it is not as big and powerful it will keep him happy when we get cloudless nights and he can try photographing the 'Nebula'.

Holly reckons that the Nebula are related to the Nargles and OTL has to be careful not to upset them 'cos he could end up being chased by Nebula Nargles!

See you tomorrow!

Sharing a Sniff wiith a ferret!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

After yesterday and all that sunshine we were expecting some more today but when we looked out of the window what did we see?

It was horrible, no sun, no sea, just loads of Nuffin'

Holly was a bit put out with the lack of sun to tan her chops and no matter just how hard she looked up and down the river, there was no sun!

OK, where has it all gone!
To help pass the time until we headed back to the car, we all hunted around for the best sniff we could find.
Can I have a sniff when you've finished?
Wendy was doing very well with the sniffs both on the beach and in amongst all the grass.

After you with the sniff Missy!
Back home we had some fun woofing at the carriers when they delivered a big box of treats. These are the meaty chicken nibbles that we all love and better than that, it's 99% chicken!

Yum Yum!

After the cages had been cleaned Old Two Legs goes hunting to find the ferrets who have hidden in the darkest places they can find in the house.

Today it was Miss Wendy who had OTL hunting out her new hiding place.

The new hiding place for Wendy was behind the freezer in The Missus's store room!

When OTL found her she was cuddling up to the duster TM uses to get rid of the spiders webs in the 'Hard to Reach Places'!

OTL was busy this morning so we were a little late going out at lunchtime, which, wasn't too bad really 'cos it gave the fog a chance to go away and.....................

We saw Sheerness!
When we got back young Eric had a 'mad half hour' tearing around the place and then suddenly disappeared! In the end we found him in the same draw as we found Freddy yesterday!

You know, OTL picked him up and transferred him to his bed in the cage and he didn't wake up!

A ferret is an expert at sleeping you know!

See you tomorrow!

Warm or Wot!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

What a warm day it's been, we have been running about all over the beach today and Holly actually had a paddle on the rock pool to cool her claws off!

The laptop has gone into 'over heat' mode and has shut down so I'm on the 'Big Computer' at the moment and OTL is trying to get the photo's to up load  onto this computer!

This morning it was a little over cast and we thought it was going to be cool but very soon the temperature started to climb!

Will it be warm or cool?
Old Two Legs had his 'Wind Proof' jacket on but was soon complaining it was getting too hot!

I didn't care, there was a beach to roll on and I needed a good scratch!

Holly was getting in the mood as well!
Young Freddy had a roll on the sand but soon headed off for the cool of the sea wall.

This is better!
Wendy was soon tearing up the beach as well and of course it was she who was first into the grass!

I'm off for a roll in the damp grass!
Back home OTL had some urgent work to be done before he started shovelling poo. This allowed Freddy and Wendy some extra time to have a really good rampage around the house. Well after all the running about, it wasn't too long before both ferrets were heading for their favourite snoozy place. Miss Wendy gets into the back of the lounge suite and hides in the upholstery. It's a good job OTL knows all the hidy holes or we could end up loosing a ferret every so often!

Freddy de Ferret has his special snooze place in the middle drawer of the desk and OTL has cleared all the office stuff out and installed a blanket and a sleeping bag.

If you are going to wake me, do it Gently!
Lunchtime it was very hot, like over twenty five degrees 'C'! May and Eric got rather warm and when we got back to the car both of them were almost swimming in the water bowl!

I managed to get a splosh in the muddy water as it came in on the tide.

Holly got wet paws.

Eric went swimming in the rock pools and got a soaking wet tummy!

May was rolling on the Sea Kale in the shadow of the Sea Wall.

OTL? Well, he forgot the memory card for the camera!

Wot a plonker!

The laptop has just fired up again, I'll switch it off tonight just in case it gets too hot again!

No news on the 'scope, we expect OTL's offer might have been rejected! Mind you, good manners would at least send an email telling him 'No', still some people don't know how to behave when some little 'Erk' like OTL tries to 'Do a Deal'!

OK, I'm off to see what is for dinner, see you all tomorrow!

In search of Little Green Men!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Not the bright sun shinny day we were expecting but the rain managed to come down only when we were in the car!

We were up good and early this morning 'cos Old Two Legs had an appointment to look at some Astronomy Telescopes!

He says he is getting bored with insects and ferrets! Not he fancies a bash at photographing some planets or far off galaxies or even nebula!

Wot is a Nebula? Sounds like a load of old gas to me!

Down on the beach May was playing Chase de Freddy while Freddy was trying to stay awake!

Miss May doing and Indian Crawl creep up on Freddy
Unfortunately, Freddy spotted a couple of tugs coming into Sheerness Docks and called out, 'Look! a Mummy Tug and a Baby Tug!'

Mother and baby?
It was then that Freddy spotted May creeping up on him and he legged it up the beach to the Sea Wall!

I must say that sometimes OTL can catch us in the most embarrassing positions, like, when I tripped up over my paws and went nose over tail!

Or me trying to do a fast take off from the beach!

It's those 'Paws' again!
We went with OTL down to the Telescope shop and OTL thought he had identified the right 'scope for him but when he told the man what he wanted to do it seems OTL was wrong. Of course!

The correct set up would cost him a considerably more pocket money, so, back to square one!

The man showed OTL a second hand one that he was selling for one of his mates which would be just what OTL wanted, only problem was, it exceeded OTL's budget!

The 'scope had electric drives but there was no Power Supply Leads or Mains Leads and there was only one eye piece. OTL would need to invest a few more pound coins to get some eye pieces and filters and get it to to state where he could use it.

So, adding up the bits OTL made an offer for the 'scope that was making allowances for the missing bits.

So, claws crossed, we are hoping for a telephone call in a day or so time!

I think OTL has Bambi Burgers tonight, Yum Yum!

See you tomorrow!

A Super Sunny Sunday!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

What a change it has been today! It started off being a bit cloudy, then it started to rain and then after all that the sun came out and it had Old Two Legs wishing he hadn't put on his rain jacket!

It didn't stop Miss Wendy having a game with Freddy, she kept on running up behind him and nibbling his tail!

Oi! If you're hungry you should have eaten your breakfast!
Mind you, it did stop Freddy from dawdling along the beach!

Wendy wandered off with Holly 'cos the rain had started and they both had decided that the best place to be is 'in the car'!

'Yes, I think the car is a good idea!'
When we got up to the top path the rain stopped! Mind you, the rain had washed some of the sniffs away!

Well, that sniff was here yesterday!
Back home, The Missus had gone off to her Master Class at the village hall and we settled down to cage cleaning. Well, OTL was cage cleaning while the ferrets rampaged all around the house!

Lunchtime we got down to the beach to find a load of fishermen setting up for a fishing contest. It was lucky for us that the tide was still far enough away to allow us to have a game on the beach without being bombarded with fishing weights!

Holly decided that Archie Babes story of rabbit hunting Nargles was a good excuse to go Nargle hunting on our beach. It was good to see her get her paws wet in the rock pools!

Mind you, the pools weren't very deep!

No, no Nargles under these rocks!
Eric joined Holly in hunting under the sea weed and although there were some very small crabs scuttling around, the sight of a Nargle eluded us!

No Nargles here either!
Back home Holly and I had fun watching OTL doing some gardening, well, what he was doing was cutting down some bushes that were growing into our front garden from next door. It was getting so thick that there was almost no room to park the big car!

When he had finished and cleared up all the leaves and branches we settled down to watch some TV.

Just as we were getting settled, TM came in the front door and as soon as she had unloaded the car we settled down to watch the F1 racing. It was an exciting race and Hamilton won in the end!

OTL has been promised a Kebab tonight so Holly and I are getting ready ready to do some serious mugging!

See you all tomorrow!

Saturday Snoozing.

Hi Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

We have been looking forward to today all week, well, I mean, Saturday is not for working is it?

Except if you are Old Two Legs, he still has his little 'Jobs' to do but by the amount of poo he has to shovel out of the ferret cages I wouldn't say his jobs were small!

Before he gets too involved in all that we get to go down the beach and it's always a race to get onto the beach first, just so we get the best sniffs before the ferrets try to muscle in and pinch them!

I'm first again!
Holly is almost all of the time in second place 'cos she just can't run as fast as I can!

These steps get bigger every time I try to use them!
One good thing we found on the beach, my missing ball! There was a slight problem, as Holly pointed out, it's only half a ball!

Some rotten woofer has demolished my ball, it was chewed and battered and not good for playing with

It was 'ere and now it's gone and it's just been chewed upon, and it's sore!
Well, that was it, no ball chasing today!

Holly didn't care, she was too busy catching up on her tan!

Oh! I just don't believe her sometimes, it was just an old ball for woofs sake!
Lunchtime was better, the tide was in and Old Two Legs  managed to find some wood on the beach that we could have a game with.

We started off chasing it up and down the beach but soon it was floating in the water, so, I just had to rescue it didn't I?

Don't worry StickyWicky, Daisy's coming!
OTL said that I carried the stick just like Churchill! As if!

We will chase it of the beaches, etc!
On our way back home we stopped off to see the ladies at the Master Class. OTL wouldn't allow Holly and me to go into the hall 'cos I was all wet and soggy and Holly had been rolling in something and she was a bit sniffy!

So, instead of us it was May and Eric that got all the strokes! Auntie Di was there and she gave Eric a tickle on his tummy!

We are now off to watch the practise on the F1 Racing on the TV, so bye bye for now and see you all tomorrow!
