Daisy & Holly back with you again.
Being Sunday, we get up a little later than normal, four thirty is just about right for Sunday! We sneak onto Old Two Legs side of the bed and give his ear a lick, just to show him we are awake and if he fancies a run across the fields, we're ready.
Normally he carries on sleeping, lazy OTL!
We went with him to the DIY shop to get some bits for the grass cutter that The Missus is trying to wear out. We stayed in the car and woofed at everyone who came close to us. There was one woman who pulled a face at us, so we wrinkled our noses back and blew raspberries until she went away!
On the way back, we stopped at Northwood Hill, another RSPB site where OTL has got dispensation to bring us on site, providing he clears up after us and we stay on the lead.
He was having a look to see if the Barn Owls were in residence and raising a family. There was no sign of movement and we couldn't find and RSPB management around to ask questions. So, OTL plans to return later tonight and set up his big lens and try to photograph the owls as they fly in and out of the barn.
Then we went onto Cliffe Pools RSPB site and drove all the way down a long and bumpy road. It was horrible, slowly going up and down and up and down and up and down and side to side at the same time.
I was sea sick!
All down the outside of the door, 'cos I was hanging out the window at the time woofing at a Wood Pigeon that was sitting on the telephone wire!
OTL Cleared it all up, and me!
Holly and me had a chance for a run around when OTL stopped for a look over the ponds, but, as he said, 'Nothing Startling Here'!
No birds, lets have a chase! |
Later we went back to Northwood Hill and waited for the Barn Owl, and we waited and waited and waited and got fed up.
The only thing that OTL saw was a Whitethroat and the sun was disappearing and it was almost dark.

Find the Whitethroat! |
See you tomorrow.
Luv,
Daisy & Holly
