Different Doggy Scoff and We're left at home!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again!

First of all a big 'Hello' to Jane our latest 'Follower'. Super to have you on board and we hope you enjoy following our adventures!

Talking of adventures, I must tell you about last night!

We were doing our Midnight Guarding Patrol, marching in line and in step around all of the rooms in the house. Just to make sure there were no burglars or other sneaky things creeping about!

Hup, two, three, four, Hup, two, three, four!

We got down stairs and were patrolling the back windows when Holly spotted something!

We both set about woofing to alert Old Two Legs to the fact we had spotted an 'Intruder'!

Down OTL staggers, looking like he was on 'auto pilot' and opened the door for us.

Out we flew, all 'teeth and tails' and snarling like we were six foot tall and had sharp teeth and a mean attitude!

There, behind the ladder, next to a pole, there stood the Intruder!

Please Don't Eat Me!
Wot are you doing sneaking around our garden Holly asked, the Hedgehog said that his name was Prickles and he was searching for something to eat, like slugs and snails and worms and if he could find some, Doggy Scoff!

Holly said that he could just keep his eyes off our Scoff, even if it tasted like Yuk!

However, Holly said that he was welcome to all the snails and worms and slugs he could eat 'cos we had no use for them and they didn't taste very nice anyway, but he is not to make any noise 'cos OTL is a light sleeper and doesn't like being woke up in the middle of the night!

Back to bed, until the next 'Patrol', it's a good job we are Professional Guards or that hedgehog might have escaped detection!

On our walk along The Sea Wall, OTL seemed to be keeping a close eye on us, every time we got a sniff of something interesting, he was there like a shot to make sure we didn't have a roll!

He stopped to have a look at that Spiky Leaf Sort of Thistle Type of Plant, but he didn't spend long taking pictures 'cos we had caught the scent of our Super Sniff from yesterday.

Spiky Leaf Sort of Thistle Type of Plant with new blooms!
It was a case of 'click, click' Oi! Keep away from that sniff you two!

We got our marching orders!

Back home we were served up some Doggy Scoff but not the normal rubbish, it was some new unexciting Doggy Scoff! It smelt different, so we left it untouched. OTL said it was the same Scoff he gave to Mutters, his old Labrador, many years ago and he loved it.

That's the trouble with a Labrador, they will eat just about everything, including the carpet, the sofa and the bathroom mat and still come back for more!

Around lunch time OTL sneaked out of  the house with his tools, he left us with The Missus who took us for a walk across the Fields, not as exciting as The Sea Wall but as we haven't been there for ages it was interesting to catch up on the sniffs, but nothing to roll in, if you get my meaning!

We even remembered where to wait for TM to put our leads back on!

OTL came back and we all had a good game before dinner. We managed to mug OTL for some of his Shepherds Pie that he put into our food bowl, on top of the Doggy Scoff, so we had the Shepherds Pie and carried on into the Scoff underneath!

We didn't have it all but enough to make a dent!

Maybe we will finish it off tonight before bed time.

That's after mugging some of OTL's Shortbread!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

  2. Nice MR Prickles, I hope he stays around for your leftovers.
Glad you two stayed out of trouble today and the Thistle thingy is still growing. Sleep tight and no noise in the night. XX
