Here we are, back again!
Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles.
Last night we all followed Old Two Legs up to the office where he was disassembling the Rowing Machine. The rope that was attached to the handle had snapped where it joins the handle and OTL had fallen off the back, much to all our amusement!
Well, OTL, being an 'Old Engineer' he said he could fix it with the aid of a screw driver, adjustable spanner and a big hammer!
True to his word, the machine was reduced to bits and the rope re-threaded through the pulleys and guides and re attached to the handle using one of OTL's special knots!
Before long it was put back together and OTL was showing off by doing a few stroke with Mr Brambles on his lap!
This morning he was up before it got light and thrashing away on the Rowing Machine! Snowflake says that we should rename the Rowing Machine and call it 'The Mary Celeste'!
Holly said it should be called 'The Titanic' 'cos the way OTL rows it is bound to sink again!
Our morning walk was horrid! It was raining and wet and windy! Of course, Holly objected and was dragging her paws all the way around!
Can we go home yet? |
It was a bit messy!
It took OTL some time and both Snowflake and Mr Brambles escaped from Snowy Towers and had great fun charging about the office kicking the boxes and other stuff all over the floor as fast as OTL was clearing it up!
Mr Brambles says it's a 'Ferret Thing'!
Lunch time we went out just before High Tide and today it is a Spring Tide, we could tell that because the water was rather high up the beach and at times it completely covered the beach!
Spring tide! |
High Speed Oyster Catchers |
Now, with all this stormy weather and reports of Two Legs getting washed out to sea and drown you would have thought that messing about dodging the surf would not be the best game to play on the beach.
There are some real twerps about!
Twerpy Two Legs |
We met up with Bonnie going out for a walk and we joked about going in for a swim, in a puddle!
I'm daft but not that Daft! |
This is the life! |
See you tomorrow!
Luv,
Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles
Glad OTL has refloated his boat. Did Mr Brambles enjoy the ride? Don't blame Holly for not wanting to go walkies in this weather, Archie hates it as well. What silly TL's getting so close to the water in this weather. Holly looks right comfie in the chair. Lovely pics again. Hope you got decent scoff today. I'm back to work on Monday :( so Archie will be back on his guarding duties .......... neither of us are looking forward to it. We've enjoyed ourselves this last 2 weeks, getting up later and having siestas. Well happy muggings tonight girlies. :) xxx
ReplyDeleteGood Evening Woofters & Fuzzies.... have been thinking about you in your little corner of England with all this wild & windy weather, Wales has just taken a bit of a battering too, Those silly TLs going down to the water at High tide when they've been warned not to .... sometimes you just cannot tell them!! Lovely pics today, you girlies are always so well turned out, I have to say my favourites are definitely the flying jackets even though the elastic rubs a bit, I must admit I don't use the elastic on my coat, I wear it like batman ... like a cape :)
ReplyDeleteWell better get off here TM wants to have a nosey!! Take care and keep safe all of you think they're talking about more storms to come ... those ferrets have got the right idea snoozing in the mornings ... pleased Mr B wasn't seasick on the Marie Celeste :) xxxx Jasper and herself TM
I thought OTL would have got a new rowing machine for Christmas of another piece of equipment. I have a n exercise bike, one of those bungey straps and a large ball to get my leg fit again and its slowly getting there. Love Holly's pose, so dainty. Glad you are all safe down there, one day the sun may shine all day. XXX
ReplyDeleteThe weather is warmer here than in Florida, I have that first hand, so when you go out tomorrow just think about that. It may be cold here but those in Florida are not used to it being 5 deg C not even in January!
ReplyDeleteGlad the Mary Celeste has been re-floated and that the Naval Engineer did a grand job with his big hammer and special knot, long may she sail!
You look snug in your new coats and glad you aren't getting too near the waters edge, those OTL's sad to say, should not have got too close and just wont be told, a fact of life I am afraid to say.
Holly does look dainty, completely at rest and not at all like a guard dog. I have enjoyed reading your Diary today and seeing the pictures, a bit late reading this because Michael is actually at this moment reading the next days so I am off now to look at that. Have fun. xxxx
