High Speed Snail and Other Stuff!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here again!

Guess wot?

It was raining this morning!

After such a long time with loads of sun it almost makes a change to get wet while out walking, excluding going for a swim!

In fact, it was so wet the Old Two Legs left the camera in the car, so no pictures of us lot getting wet!

However, when we got back to the car there was a snail starting to crawl up the windscreen, on the outside!

Speedy Snail the Fastest Snail in The World!
OTL left the snail on the screen and headed back home. It stayed there, on the screen for a mile or so and we got up to a frightening speed of thirty eight miles an hour!

Holly said that must be a record, a snail doing thirty eight miles an hour, without a seat belt on!

It soon crawled under the windscreen wiper blade where it stayed all the way home!

The Missus was getting all excited 'cos she has some cards due to be shown on TV, so, we have all got to sit in front of the TV and go Oooooh! and Aaaaah! and Fantabulossa! and Wunderfool! When the presenter picks them up to show the audience!

I must admit, I fell asleep half way through!

Lunchtime it was back down the beach again and this time it was sort of sunny with a bit of cloud.

Holly tried to mug a couple of Two Legs who were having lunch on the Sea Wall but they told her to 'Go Away!'

So Holly did, but not until she had done a wee in front of them!

Didn't want a Sarnie anyway!
OTL spotted a bright yellow, black ringed caterpillar. He said it was a Cinnabar Moth Caterpillar.

The Cinnabar Moth looks a bit like a Spotted Burnett moth but instead of red spots it has red streaks down the wing.

OTL spent the afternoon putting a couple of new Roof Vents in the caravan, one over the bed and the other in the bathroom, so now it's all bright and ready for the holiday!

Not sure what is for dinner tonight but Holly and I pigged out on Ox Heart today, so we won't be so demanding when they sit down to eat, well, not much!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

  1. I am surprised that OTL didn't take the snail home for his menagerie! Oh of course, there was only one and that would not be any good. Love the picture of the caterpillar, he is so clever to notice all these things and tell you about them. Now Daisy, tut tut on falling asleep during TMs' broadcast, you were suppose to cheer and go wow, wow, wow not snore, snore, snore, silly girl you know TM will hold that against you, it will be doggie scoff for ever for you, unless you say SORRY! I don't think Holly is going the right way about mugging sandwiches from TL's either, there is no answer to that one. I got a bit damp this morning going to work but then like you said it brightened up and was sunny and warm. Be good tomorrow, try to make amends............ xxxx

  3. Nice picture of speedy the snail and the catapillar. Holly, I don't blame you for weeing front of mean old TL's that won't share a sarnie with a nice little girl like you. Oh dear Daisy, I think Sue and Michael might be right, you might well end up in TM's bad books. Little Arch and I stayed awake and watched TM's lovely cards. We both had a snooze after though, it was so exciting watching that we wore ourselves out. Hope you managed to get some muggings in tonight. Have a good evening, love, licks and wags from little Arch xxxx
