Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Miss April and Miss May back here with you again!
We bet you thought we had dropped off the map!
Well, you can blame The Missus for the lack of blogs! You see she has been going on about calling into the Gretna Green Designer Centre and doing some 'Shopping'.
If we had left on Monday, there wouldn't have been time to call in 'cos the journey to home would have been at least nine hours, and that's not including the time spent at Gretna!
Well, she kept on whining and pouting and coming out with the big 'Deep Meaningful Sighs' so that in the end we agreed to leave a day early and overnight at Gretna.
It was such a rush to get packed up and on the road that we didn't have time to leave you any sort of message to tell you we had gone!
Worst still, the Gretna Caravan site doesn't have Wi-Fi! So that's us done for!
We did all the shopping bit and as tradition states, we had a Chinese Take Away and Holly and I chomped away on the Plawn Clackers! and TM was sloshing back the Bolli!
We were up and away by seven for the journey home. We landed on the drive at just gone three, so that wasn't too bad. We were all tired and we didn't even empty the caravan, instead we left it for today to finish off.
As normal, there were piles of letters and stuff on the mat and today OTL has been working his way to making a big pile for working on tomorrow!
Archie Babe asked about Brambles 'Wee'ing Stone' and yes we got one for him. Old Two Legs brought it home in the car. As we were packing up, TM insisted that she had the Wee'ing Stone in the caravan but OTL knew it was in the car. This morning TM was unwrapping the 'stone' from a plastic bag when she discovered that she was unwrapping the fire extinguisher!
OTL reckons it's to much Bolli!
We were all late getting up this morning and OTL still has the bad back he got lifting the ferret cages in and out of the car!
We got down to the beach and had a good sniff around to see what had changed. Miss Snowflake said that she would remember Mr Brambles every time she had a wee on the rocks!

The wind was blowing up a bit and the waves were crashing against the sea wall, not enough to come over the top but we didn't fancy a swim!

Dinner is on it's way, so we are off for some mugging!

Glad to hear you're all home safe. Goodness me your TM certainly gets around for crafty shopping, I hope she got some worth while stuff. I can imagine the deep mourningful sighs, my mum does those.
ReplyDeleteI bet you were tired after all that traveling and raspberry blowing at other cars. We had a Chinese take away but I wasn't allowed any plawn clackers this time. I hope OTL's back gets better soon, tell him he can't do work while he has a bad back, he needs to rest. Glad you found a good weeing rock for little Brambles. My mum thinks it's a great idea to bury him in a huge plant pot just in case you ever move, Brambles would like to come with you. I like your beach, it's my favourite beach, not that I've been on any other beach but it's the beach where you live. It was kind of Snowflake to do a wee on a rock for Brambles, he'd be pleased about that. Good to hear you all had a good time at the beach today and love the pictures. Hope the mugging is good at yours tonight, I'm banned from mugging for a little while because of my itches. Sounds as though your TM had a bit too much bolly the night she wrapped the weeing rock ......... you can't stand a fire extinguisher on the pot. YOU'RE BACK! was beginning to worry...should have known that TM wanted to stop for a shop. It must be good to be home. You did our holiday journey in reverse for when we travel down to Kent. It was so funny that TM thought that the fire extinguisher was Mr Brambles weeing rock. I bet OTL had a really big grin on his face. Was the weeing rock still in the car? I think burying Mr Brambles in a pot is a good idea because we've still got a pot that has Merlin the hamster in it. He was a very well loved pet of our mum's daughter, Danielle and he has now moved twice since 1997. I expect that his plant pot grave is much smaller than Mr Brambles will be.
ReplyDeleteIt was lovely to see Miss Snowflake sniffing and rubbing on your walk. I wonder if she can still smell Mr Brambles and was saying hello to him.

Ah I saw you were back on TM's page, I was keeping my eyes open for you. Glad all went well, well as well could be but little Brambles is home too and I think the plant pot idea is very good. You must have been very tired, all of you, especially OTL who had to drive with a "rest" in Gretna for the shopaholic, I hope you limited her to the little space left on the roof for her new purchases!

You have had a nice first day on the rounds, I hope OTL gets all that post sorted out and throws his bad back away then you can continue your adventures where you left off. xxxxxx
